Me too, Error 8012.
I thought that was an error of my client only.

I'm quite surprised Deadman's Switch didn't receive a nerf before release. I suppose the reason is because the only killer who can really exploit that perk is Artist and having another procamper along with Bubba is not a problem for them.
-
Survivor: onlyfengs.com
Killer: I don't have main, but my favorite and most played killer is Plague and she's the only along with Trapper having all the killer perks learned, I have some P3 killers more but without all the perks. I used to be main Pig but I got fed up of her being so weak and despite that receiving nerfs.

Cowshed is the loop chaining simulator, I can see good survivors destroying anyone on that map.
Still cannot believe its actually 50%
Low MMR.
Low MMR "manipulate" the statistics a lot, low MMR manipulate the kill rates of every killer too, that's why The Pig is one of the worst killers and still have 57.98% kill rate, she's one of the classic noob stomper killers.
-
My opinion.
The SBMMR is better than the old rank system, of course it need a lot of changes but for an average players like me it's way better.
As I've seen most of people who complain are high level players, specially killers. They usually complain about facing sweatfest SWFs with purple medkits, meta perks, etc. If you don't want to face such teams just don't equip full meta gen regression perks with strong addons and you'll lose some matches and eventually you will face worse survivors and will get more chil matches. If you keep using your top build you'll face good and well equiped survivors all the time and it's a vicious circle. With the old rank system you couldn't do that, because losing ranks were very slow and you were forced to stay afk a lot of matches in a row for deranking. For example, when I hit purple ranks I usually went down to green ranks where I can play more chil without steamroll most of the teams I faced.
Also, a lot of the complains of popular streamers is because they were too used to their fancy "win streaks" by exploiting the old rank system which made them face bad survivors who play very bad but play a lot and hit the red ranks...

Wait, when was that? I came in a little late, so if that was at the start, I might have missed it. If so, that's incredible news to hear.

A Dead Hard rework is coming! (worse than the current for sure, as happened to Object of Obsession).
Good Q&A, just for that news.
-
I would've like to see the kill rate of all the maps.
Cowshed is one of the most survivor sided maps, I'm not very surprised about that. The second, third and four maps with less kill rate are Haddonfield, Badham and The Game, I'm pretty sure.
Midwitch is in general a good map for killers, not surprised about that kill rate considering the bad state of the killer in general (less than 3 average kills even in that map).

Surely hit validation is a survivor concern? The devs use a favor the killer scenario, so it makes literally no sense that they would complain about that? Like???
I put the hit validation in the list of common complaints of killers, not in the survivor list.
-
Because the killers have more reasons to complain.
90% of survivor complaints are about camping, tunneling and NOED and are the only reasons they can complain about I think, because that three things are frustrating. I can understand it.
However killer complaints are more numerous: gen speeds, plenty of survivor sided maps, CoH, Dead Hard, SWFs, Hit Validantion, Tbagging/clickyclicky and the simple fact of being the most streesful side.
-
Laurie is Sluzzy, I suppose Deathslinger is you. Who are Spirit and Twins? I suppose the Spirit is GannMan.
-
As killer in Steam you can do this to an extent.
I usually block toxic survivors, when I check a profile and I see someone blocked I dodge. It's a form of black listing.

Sure. You could run other regression. But that's ######### boring. I don't run regression. Tracking builds are much stronger then regression when you're good at getting downs.
I'll 100 % disagree it's good on demo. And to an extent nemesis. But hey. We all have our thoughts. It's definetly an over rated perk and far from S-Tier
I'm not talking about boring or fun, but efficiency.
In Demo the perk help you to place some portals without gens getting done around the map. Nemesis has a bad early, nobody is infected at start and the tentacle can't destroy pallets, if two gens are done before you reach tier 2 your snowball get decimated and maybe when you reach tier 3 there is only one gen remaining, Corrupt help a lot for countering it.

It's ok on 3 killers that come to mind. That being trapper, hag, plague. But people have this misconception that it prevents gens from popping early, and it just doesn't. Too many times I've gotten a down within the first 30 seconds-1 minute of the game(depending on how emersed they are) All while it was typically patrolling the uncorrupted gens. And still had gens pop. Or had significant progress on them. So exactly what did corrupt do for me ?
I use a lot of blight and nurse. So if I'm going to use a perk that is gone after a set time. I'm just going to use lethal. Infact one of my favorite builds lately is bbq, infectious, lethal, pop. Pop being my reward for when I hook and move to the next gen. Regress and chase. But there's a lot of time where I don't even use pop and just chase. I just don't know what to use in it's place tbh that will get me constant value.
And Pig, Nemesis, Demogorgon and Myers. In all the killers with bad early is almost a mandatory perk but it's good with all the killers. It doesn't always prevent early popping, but it avoid the survivor to spread up in the map and start to make gens in several places, it is appreciated in low mobility killers (most of the roster) and also in big maps.
Corrupt intervention is an S tier perk.
Also, you can use it combined with pop or other gen regresion/protection perks, you are speaking about the perk like it was the only anti-gen perk you can equip.

Corrupt is highly over rated
No. it's one of the best perks in killers with bad early.
-
I hope it get nerfed soon.
In a match yesterday with Legion, Thompson house, my MMR with Legion is quite low because he is a bad killer and I don't play him (or them?) a lot, the 4 survivors were quite bad except an Ace who was a bit better, I killed two of them pretty quickly, 1 gen remaining anyway, I hit the Ace with the power and he go straight to the shack, I win a mindgame and hit him in the middle of the shack, hit validated Dead Hard, he dropped the pallet of the shack, almost all the pallets were still up because the other two killed survivors didn't use a lot of pallets by bad positioning, the Ace made me a tour in the map dropping almost all the remaining pallets, I don't know how much time the chase lasted, but he went to two jungle gyms and three loops. Fortunately the other survivor was idiot and didn't repair the last gen and I won, a single "E" in the middle of the shack almost cost me one scape or two, if there were most survivors alive that would've been a lose, A SINGLE "E".
-
Blood Warden is a high risk high reward perk.
If you manage to slug one survivor far from the exit gates and force the others to open it or you open it and they don't leave you just have to wait until the EGC time is under the 1/2 and you hook the survivor the other 3 survivors can't scape and die if they don't leave ASAP. It happen 1/10 times at best but it's very satisfactory when happen, but prepare for the enrage in the endgame chat. Is the best "JUST LEAVE" situation, haha.
-
Mostly the old ones with the most simple powers.
Wraith won't be nerfed again I think. The Trapper will remain untouched except maybe more buffs and addon changes, Hillbilly is nerfed enough, Huntres will remain untouched except maybe some addon changes, Hag have a power little susceptible to changes or nerfs and is also one of the killers with less pickrate. I think the killers released starting from Freddy and ahead are the most susceptible to changes because Freddy started the way of more intrincate powers in killers with the exception of Doctor maybe and Myers who is an outdated killer that will be touched sooner or later.
-
In these graphs I don't see a remarkable lose of players.
I see fluctuations, which are common in DBD. When a new chapter or midpatch, specially chapter, is realeased the amount of players raise and then decrease a bit until a new chapter or midpatch is released.
The correct way to interpret that graphs is comparing the same month of consecutive years. Let's take December for example:
December 2019 - 23,102 players / December 2020 - 35,632 / December 2021 - 44,639
I don't think DBD is losing a lot of players, however which is in fact happening is a lot of people switching from killer to survivor due the current killer state, in 2019-2020 trying to play killer at noon was almost unbearable (at least in my region), around 10 minutes of queues and until around 8:00pm the queues were quite long, now I can play killer in almost any hour, after 6:00pm the queues are shorter but I don't see long queues since 2020.
-
The people who have said they agree with him have said it for trolling considering who created the thread, I guess...
Some things are debatable, but have you noticed he's asking for a rebuff for DS? And saying the EGC hatch tactis being unfair?
DS doesn't need a buff, it's in a perfect spot now, it fulfills its function as antitunnel perk, the stun caused by the perk is very long, you have enough time to reach a good spot in the map most of the times and it can't be countered by Enduring anymore. Balanced perk, it doesn't need nerfs or buffs.
EGC can be countered 99%ing the gates which is what the most survivors do in the matches, OK, the killer can open the gates, but most of the times doing it doesn't worth.
The Hatch mechanic is one of the more fair things in the game currently, the first who find the hatch, wins, it's simple and fair. Also, do you remember the hatch standoffs? It was one of the most horrid things in the game before the current hatch mechanic.
-
Dead Hard was OP before hit validation, hit validation only aggravated the problem.
Some years ago DH wasn't meta and nobody considered DH OP because it wasnt so used, I play since 2018 and in 2019 (specially the first half) it was a popular perk, frequently used, but you didn't see the perk equiped in every single match and so frequently equiped by the 4 survivors, the perk started to be overused after the nerf of Balanced Landing in the Patch 3.4.0, which used to be the most popular exhaustion perk, after that nerf, the people started to search for a sustitute for Balanced Landing, some people started using Sprint Burst and others Dead Hard, after that, the people started to notice the potental of the perk for extending chases and its only requeriment of being injured which led to the current situation.
-
I don't.
It's not perfect and need a lot of tweaks but is way better than the old Rank System.
-
I think there are people who play this game too much and "get married" with the game and that drive to frustration, if you have a crisis with the game you "got married" it affect you too much, that's the reason it's better to diversify and play more games by taking breaks frequently or alternating them. There are some things I don't like in this game, specially unbalaced things, I complain a lot about it in the forum, but I never feel frustrated because I diversify, I take breaks and I have "backup" games for playing if I'm having a bad day in DBD.
I "was married" with World of Warcraft for some years and I can relate with this post, when my main classes were nerfed I had a lot of frustration and it affected me psychologically sometimes, because I didn't know what to do when I don't want to play my characters in PvP or PvE while not wanting to level up or equip other classes.
You need to find more games to alternate a bit. I never "got married" with DBD so, despite I get angry sometimes and the balance issues annoy me they don't affect me psychologically. In fact I play this game since 2018 (september, Spirit release patch) and I have 1240 hours and I've seen some people playing since 2020 with 5000 hours OMG. Stop marrying with a game, be more promiscuous.

I play Killer and Survivor both. When I play Killer, I don't see Dead Hard being anymore of an issue that Sprint Burst or Overcome. Even a survivor that positions himself correctly, will cause Balanced Landing and Lithe to be just as bad.
In fact, as Killer, I'd rather see Dead Hard than Sprint Burst or Overcome. On 2 story maps, give me Dead Hard over Balanced Landing any day of the week.
However, take this with a grain of salt, this is person preference as Killer, just like what you are saying is personal preference as Killer.
I would be interested to see any type of data showing something different. Until then, it's just how it "feels" to you as Killer. Don't pretend like your "feelings" or "preferences" have any sort of weight though.
You don't play enough as killer or you are in low MMR if Dead Hard isn't a problem for you.
"I would be interested to see any type of data showing something different. Until then, it's just how it "feels" to you as Killer. Don't pretend like your "feelings" or "preferences" have any sort of weight though."
You are saying that like I was the only person in the community complaining about that perk, almost all killer mains are complaining about it and CoH. Of course you can simplify that like we were "cryers" as a lot of people do, mostly survivor mains of course, but if the perk is so overused and so many killers are complaining is not for the sake of complaining. I've even seen killers with 8.000 hours complaining about that perk, lol.

I'll gladly admit it if there's some sort of proof. Saying something is OP does not mean it's OP. Honestly, it's just lazy.
The proof is playing killer.
Or just watching any streamer if you don't want to play killer and see how many times the chases last at least 1 minute more by reaching pallets or windows using the dash.
Bro, that perk is in every match and a lot of times equiped by the 4 survivors for a reason.

it is actually very easy. Setup 10 to 20 random routes on multiple maps. Have the route have a drop and a vault available to use in that route. Take Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Lithe, Balanced Landing and Overcome and test the amount of chase time each exhaustion perk gives you on average before you are downed. If you don't have Balanced Landing, then you avoid the drop part of the route (The drop should follow the route pretty closely or you can even just not test Balanced Landing with the rest).
If Dead Hard is overperforming you will see it. It's amazing simple to show an exhaustion perk is overperforming in chases.
I've never seen anyone trying so hard before for just not admiting that Dead Hard is OP and one of the main issues balance-wise in the game currently.
-
Being chased.
Repairing.
Healing.
Breaking/Booning totem.
Opening exit Gates.

@HuntressWife said:
It's literally so easy to counter. Just get close but don't hit them, they'll use their dead hard, then hit them. It's that easy.
If the survivor is about to reach a pallet or window that "counter" doesn't work, that "counter" only work when chasing a survivor in the open which happen 2/10 times. The perk is used for reaching pallets and windows, it can extend the chase for 30 seconds or even a minute more if the pallet was a safe pallet or the window is in a strong building like the shack, maybe even the T walls if they're connected to another pallet or jungle gym, the perk is also used frequently for running around a loop one time more by using Dead Hard for reaching and dropping the pallet.
Seriosly, the people who mention that "counter" don't play killer and are also bad survivor, because they don't know that perk can be used for extending chases.
-
Tinkerer doesn't need a nerf, if one survivor is upset due that perk then equip Spine Chill and problem solved.
Bamboozle is OK and is only used by Hillbilly and Bubba.
The third seal buff is cool, that would be a more reliable exhaustion counter than Fearmonger and I'm sure that perk combined with Udying would become meta with a lot of killers if Dead Hard is not nerfed.
The Circle of Healing nerf is not enough.
In Dead Hard I prefer the removal of the dash instead the iframes, the most annoying thing of that perk is when survivors use it for reaching a pallet or window. Removing the iframes doesn't solve the main problem of the perk.
Spine Chill is good as it is, it's a stealth counter.
Decisive Strike is OK now.

Blood Rush is 1.5x BP. Blood Hunts are the 2x BP. Blood Feast was 3x BP.
I'm playing since 2018 and I've never seen a Blood Feast, I don't know if I've missed some in my breaks or there haven't been any in years.
-
Being very good or having luck facing bad survivors
-
I don't have favourites, but there are a lot people who seems to be logic and bring arguments to the discussions.

Because they're starting to mash AD AD before being grabbed by the killer for not losing any second of wiggle, It's pretty obvious, haha.

I disagree. People aren't going to be happy until it's useless.
No.
DS for example was a busted perk and received several nerfs, now it isn't useless and it's still a meta perk, but way more bearable for the killer and feels fair, there are almost no killers complaining about DS anymore, except some cryers. Wanting to a busted perk to be nerfed is not wanting it to become useless.
-
Demogorgon and Pinhead maybe.
-
The range nerf was a placebo nerf imo. That nerf had 0 impact in the perk.

No, but considering the addon is a brown addon and is one of the few good addon in the killer with less pickrate is the only reason coming to my mind.
The nerf is not a big nerf, though.

I'm so tired of seeing whining on both sides about strong perks. I've been playing since 2019, so not even the duration of the game, yet DH was rarely complained about until the meta shifted after other perks were nerfed. It's like each side is set out to nerf every meta perk the other has, one at a time.
Sure, let's nerf DH, BT, CoH, NOED, Ruin, BBQ, and all meta perks into the ground and make this game absolutely boring with no variety. While we're at it, let's just remove perks from the game entirely, REALLY make it about skill and skill alone. That way, no one's feelings can be hurt by a perk in a game.
For the record, a few like CoH definitely could benefit with a change, of course. But most people aren't actually looking for balance, they're looking for their side to be elevated.
In fact, with some meta perks nerfed there would be more variety, not less because people would be forced to be more creative with their builds.
Also, at least in my case, I don't want my side elevated, I just want DH and CoH nerfed and some maps balanced, I don't mind the state of BT, DS, Sprint Burst, the other boons, etc. I think I'm not asking big things.

Every killer uses hex ruin. They should nerf it just because I don’t like it.
Always the straw man fallacy when a killer ask for a nerf for the most op sv perk after CoH.
-
@Marigoria said:
Just because something is used a lot doesn't mean it's OP and needs a nerf.
I see BBQ and ruin on 99% of my matches and I dont think they need to be nerfed.
Pinky Finger was an issue, but I do agree that clown needs another rework, because the one they gave him a while ago didn't really improve anything at all. He still lacks map pressure and is still one of the weakest killers in the game.
It's pretty obvious you don't play killer or at least don't play in mid-high MMR. A perk which can extend a chase for 30 seconds more or even a minute depending on the map and zone and equiped by 4 players so frequently definitely need a nerf.
I'm pretty sure this perk will be nerfed, maybe not in the next patch or even in the next 6 months, bu it will be nerfed eventually as happened with DS.

To add on, I don't think the exclusive skins are even that appealing. For me at least.
I've seen other games have extremely good exclusives that really do stand out (Paladins for example), but these are just meh at most. BHVR as always :)
You don't like the artist one? For me is her best skin by far. The one which come in the release is ugly as hell and cover her face.
-
I'm against prime exclusive skins too. All the skins should be obtainable ingame with or without auric cells, but all obtainable ingame.
The only exception maybe the Twitch T-shirts for streamers, which are ugly so I don't mind them and are a good exclusive gift for the dedicated content creators.
