  • They will be "forced" to use Sprint Burst and they won't accept it willingly. Also Sprint Burst can be countered with Fearmonger.

Meanwhile, us, the Lithe enjoyers will continue our life undisturbed.

  • He can be punished by the survivors themselves by doing gens, but most of them refuse to do that and just waste time trying to take advantage from a distraction for unhooking which a lot of times finish in another hook for him.

I don't know, he is just most annoying killer for me. He is cheap version of Huntress. Bunny is gives you info when use hatchet. And you can try dodge. But good luck to trying dodge 1 million knives of Trickster.

Use walls or high profile loops, run around the shack without going inside (the more painfull counter for Trickster). In fact the counters for Trickster being that simple is what make him so bad and underpowered in a lot of maps. OK, sometimes he can catch you in an open place and vaporize you, but he need to hook the people sometimes for winning and such, so it´s like a trade.

  • And again, everytime someone post an Otzdarva video to demostrate anything I say the same thing: Otzdarva is a really good killer player, how much percentage of killers are that good? about 5% and being generous? The main proof of his skill is his average 3.15 kills with not perks and no addons. Do you know a lot of killers achieving that in a big sample of games? Also, if I didn't miss anything he is playing sweaty in all his experiments (tunneling, camping and slugging) except in the "Mr Niceguy build" ones, making the video demostrate even less, because playing like that is not fun for either side.

For average or average-to-good killer players the game is clearly survivor sided mostly due two broken perks (DH and CoH) and a lot of unbalanced maps aggravated with the high use of map offerings (The Game, Haddonfield, Badham, Mother Dwelling, Ormond, most of the Coldwinds, one of the Autoheavens, and maybe I'm forgetting some).

  • You make a post asking the killers to be constructive while you are calling them cryers insteand of being constructive yourself and asking yourself why are there so many killers complaining. Is your post constructive in first place?

Simplyfing all the killer post as crying is a mock and not true.

Of course there are some post which are crypost ("remove that perk, is broken", "I don't have fun as killer I'm done with this game") but most of the other posts bring ideas on how to nerf or balance the most unbalanced and OP side (ideas on how to nerf Dead Hard, CoH, ideas on how to balance map) or how to buff bad killers, isn't that constructive?

  • NO.

But I would introduce more variables, specially in survivor side, not only escaping. Taking into account things like time being chased before getting downed, times being hooked, tanking hits. Only escaping is too simplistic. This also would make more easy for survivors to increase their MMR in solo Q with bad team mates.

Because they don't know how to nerf it. This is same for Nurse too. She nerfed multiple times and still people don't like her. She is still strongest killer in game. But BHVR does not know how to nerf. So probably Dead Hard will not nerf and they just fixed it little time ago.

If they don't know how to nerf Dead Hard then they're incompetent, I don't believe they don't know how to nerf it, if they could nerf an intringued perk like Object of Obsession then they can nerf Dead Hard.

There are a lot of ways to nerf Dead Hard all of them pretty simple and can be combined or not:

Doubling or tripling the exhaustion time after using it (my least favourite nerf).

Removing the dash and keeping only the iframes (my favorite nerf because this would prevent using the perk for reaching windows/pallets or gaining distance, the most broken thing of the perk imo).

Removing the iframes and keeping only the dash, so dashing toward the killer or against a wall wouldn't prevent a down.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • @Huge_Bush said:

They just buffed Dead Hard, don't get your hopes up in it ever getting nerfed.

The buff wasn't intended as a buff, it was a fix, so expecting a nerf to compensate the indirect buff is what a lot of us expect.

As someone who has d/c'd right before being thrown on death hook, perhaps I can pull back the curtain just little bit and offer some insight into what might be going on behind the scenes.

    First and foremost,

People who disconnect do not care about (or are not motivated to play because of) bloodpoints.

That may seem like a no-brainer, but the most common question I see in response to this is always "why did you throw away your bloodpoints?"

    Second,

The player is looking for a reason to stop playing. Someone who disconnects right as they are about to be out of the match is probably tilted. They are fed up with the game, and are looking for an excuse to go do something else.

The matchmaking lock is a great opportunity for someone who is tilted to gather their emotions and refocus, or decide its time to move onto something more enjoyable.

In either case, they welcome the matchmaking penalty with open arms because its a respite from whatever rage-enducing scenario(s) led them to that moment.

Sometimes, it may also just be this person's last game of the day, and the disconnect penalty will not effect them in any way.

    Third,

Pride. Some people just don't want your pitty. They want to take defeat on the chin and will voluntarily create a lose condition if you're trying to display any form of empathy.

    Finally,

In the case of death hook specifically, a survivor may disconnect as a last form of vengeance to prevent the killer from activating BBQ, Pop, or Pain Resonance.

TL;DR unless the disconnect has inconvenienced you in any way, a survivor is probably not disconnecting to spite you.

#########. What a bunch of excuses.

"unless the disconnect has inconvenienced you in any way, a survivor is probably not disconnecting to spite you."

Ok, so, even a DC just before the last hook is inconvent for me, because you remove the satisfaction of my well achieved kill in a last hook. If you are that butthurt just stop playing the game, no excuses.

I've been tilted sometimes and DCd (specially when I had less than 200 hours), but I never did just before the last hook and never tried to justify such things, omg.

  • The only "buff" he received in compensation for the nerfs was the increased movement speed while aiming which is absurd, nobody move while aiming with Deathslinger, that was just a placebo buff, he is not the huntress.

They at least should have kept his terror radius which was nerfed for absolutely no reason really, the reduced aiming speed was enough nerf.

  • Favorite: Some of the new killer perks and Nemesis.

    Worst: Circle of Healing.

  • They released Eyrie of crows in 2021 (less than 2 months ago) which is utterly broken sometimes with tons of pallets chained with jungle gyms and T walls, so don't expect them to fix something when they released that map so recently. I've lost hope on seeing the broken maps balanced or even balanced maps in the future, the last map was a painful dose of reality.

  • I give hatch when I play against potato survivors and not always, mainly when one of them did a ragequit or one of them suicided. If I'm going to get 4K without a single gen done I feel sorry for them and let the last one escape.

Also this depend on my mood, if I've had a losing streak and I'm enraged I'm merciless and none of the things mentioned above really mind and I won't spare no one.

  • Yes. This would remove two issues in a row: the survivors rebooning a totem again and again and having several CoH across the map.

  • Using stretched is cheating, you can't change my mind.

Stretched make some structures "unmindgamable" like rocks and some jungle gyms like Autoheaven ones. Also the Ghostface problem mentioned above.

When I see a random streamer in Twitch using stretched and people supporting and watching him make me feel embarrassment.

  • That Jill screenshot was taken when they bugged her face in a patch, she looks better now. Also, Fortnite have a more cartoonish artstyle and it's more easy to make a fine model.

The problem is Claire, she still looks awful, I hope they don't take the same amount of time for fixing her as with Quentin and she being a legendary skin make the thing worse.

  • The M1 killers have become outdated now, I think all the killers will be antiloop in the future.

  • I use Corrupt only in killers with bad early (Nemesis, Trapper, Demogorgon, Plague,...).

In the rest it's not that good, because the rest of the match you are playing with only 3 perks.

Yup... Killer is so unplayable now compared to how it was...???

In 2016 the ppl were much worse playing, even in 2018 when I started the survivors were worse and less tryhard in general.

  • Killer: Fearmonger (Exhaustion perks counter).

Survivor: Alert (indirectly buffed now because most of the maps are reworked and have breakable walls).

  • Not much.

I bit quicker traveling speed (rotten green apple basekit).

The possibility of clossing portals, some portals become useless in mid-late game and you depend on the survivors closing them.

  • i'm not mentioned in plague T.T

  • No, the "ruin" for gates should be basekit imo.

  • If there were 4 hooks per perk it would be broken when carrying the two Scourge perks, more in the future are coming foe sure. Imagine all the hooks of a map being scourge with 3 or 4 stacked effects.

  • In my case, even when the 4 survivors escape I usually get at least 6 hooks and very rarely less than 4 (average MMR with most killers).

  • That's the reason why since Nemesis (included) all the killers released have at least one gen regression/protection perk (since Twins without considering Trickster), because they are finally aware that the gen speeds are crazy and at least they want to give us varied forms of avoiding the gens get done in a blink (band-aid fix). In the case of Artist even the three perks. And almost all killer meta perks are related to this.

But there are still people saying that Gen rush doesn't exist and "JuSt PuT PreSSuRe".

  • They always are trying hard to look for exploits in his turn angle instead of just playing the killer with his limitations, that's why I don't respect blight mains as a whole, I'm sorry for the fair blight mains paying sins of others.

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690565#Comment_2690565

I would add Artist, Bubba(somewhat, it's easier with addons, but he does close the gap if you use more than 1 charge up to 2 meters distance gained with 3 charges, its not much, but it's honest work), Wraith, Clown, Legion(only if there are 2-3 vault locations, otherwise you lose distance), Cenobite and even Twins to that list.

Some of these are a bit map reliant to gain distance, but they all have basekit anti-w in mind.

Artist is not good against W, in fact it is her counter. She have a lot of slowdowns, one when putting the crows and another when shooting them.

  • Blood Warden itself is bad, but combined with noed and other endgame perk like No Way Out or Remember Me is very satisfactory when works (and prepare for the rage in the chat).

  • Huntress, Deathslinger, Nurse, Billy, Spirit and Blight.

I almost say Trickster, but when the survivor is more than 10m away it's very hard to hit and while you are throwing knives you're so slow.

  • In the case of killers, the meta perks certainly cover game flaws, most of them are gen regression/protection perks or related to gens (Tikerer, Discordance).

In the case of survivors, ok, DS, BT and Unbreakable are for countering flaws for avoiding certain unfun killer behaviours (camping and tunneling) but the rest are just for abusing, Dead Hard doesn't cover any game flaw for example, its just a broken perk which avoid a huge amount of hooks and make you win a lost mindgame. CoV neither. Iron Will remove the ability to detect an injured survivor with sound and that bypass the fact "you're hurt you get spotted more easily" which is an important feature for detecting survivors.

  • You can also equip Save the Best for Last, which counter the snowmen a bit.

  • THX!!

  • Don't play ghostface or twins, there are 26 killers.

People are overreacting to an event which will last only a few days.

  • Same outfits?

I usually dodge a lobby with three or four identical characters because it's difficult to know who is who and maybe I'm chasing the one I don't want, the only one I know who is, is the obsession. Also the presence of three or four identical characters frequently means toxic premade.

  • For proving that point he must play against a team of full meta perks with Purple Medkits, Toolboxes with BNPs and having around the same amount of hours he have. He's a very experienced killer using broken addons against a bunch of randoms, that proves nothing.

  • Objetively their main objetive take no skill, is holding M1 and pressing space sometimes.

Occasionally fleeing from the killer and ok if you're bad you get caught quickly, but the main objetive is still so simple plus being 4 people against 1 help a lot. Even if you are bad in chases you can simply build your character with stealth perks and a lot of times when the killer spot you for first time at least 2-3 gens are done already if you use a stealth build and he still have to hook you two times more. Also you have plenty of second chance perks and don't play a time trial against 4 people like the killer.

Summarizing: being good in chases takes skill but reaching your objetive take no skill and you're not forced to be good in chases for winning.

Wraith can counter survivors who just hold shift+w as an escape option. Also he is quit easy to play and brings map presence, a fun mechanic and good add-ons to the table. With Surge (Jolt) and Sloppy Butcher Wraith also brings some pretty good perks that are free not to mention he can use Hex: No one escapes Death quit well.

As such Wraith is an obvious choice as a very present Killer in low and mid-ranks. Probably dropping off a bit a high ranks and against SWFs.

    @IamFran @Zlaraki :

Please do not use this "Killrate" as an argument. That statistic is greatly flawed and even the devs pointed out that you just make a fool out of yourself by using it. Just look at where Nurse, Plague and Shape are...

Wraiths 57,13% mean that most people just do not hug windows or do generators. Same for Cenbites 59,86% by the way which is a tribute to people just not solving his box and expecting to loop him just like any other Killer. You also see this with Pig where people are just ignoring her Traps and then complain about getting their head popped or Oni where people stay injured and feed him his power...

The problem is that this game is very Killer sided at lower ranks and very survivor side then high you go. The "balance" pretty much leaves the room once there are more perks, more combinations and more coordination.

You didn't read my posts, I'm not saying wraith is too good and nurse bad or something.

Interesting, so Wraith is up there with the big boys. Your argument ofcourse lies within low mmr. Is there a graph in which they show exact stats mmr-wise? It would also help to distinguish those stats in comparison when it comes to solo que vs premades. Any killer going up against premades would have his stats skewed.

No there aren't a graph related to MMR. When I play wraith and I'm against bad survivors I usually steamroll and against good survivors I lose frequently. Wraith is one of the newbie-stomper killers along with Pig and Freddy.

What are we basing this information on? Do you have a link on all the winrates?

    3l9r0mviq2s71.png

The last statistics shown by BHVR.

Wraith is so high due being so used in low MMR, in Mid to high MMR he struggles a lot agains decent survivors, specially if they carry flashlights.

  • Wraith is easy to use and have good results in mid to low mmr, that's the reason why he is overused in that mmr.

  • Artist, throw crows to the totem from time to time.

  • Everyone not biased and objetive, survivor main or not survivor main think that CoH is busted. Is the only Boon you are almost forced to search and snuff because it's too powerful.

  • anyone who don't have instadown, stealth or traps except nurse.

  • Discordance is not S tier, A tier maybe.

Sloppy and Nurse's Calling are way worse now since the CoH meta.

Monitor and Abuse is B and NOED is A.

    Fearmonger and Agitation are B.

    No way out is A.

  • In my case it depends on the hour of the day.

In Europe before 7-8 pm the killer queues are longer, but after that hour all the fellas are coming from work/university, there are more survivors and the killer queues are shorter.

  • Pig is not easy, using the ambush correctly in loops is very hard.

  • Fearmonger and problem solved.
