You don't have to set up all the traps at the begining, that's a mistake I usually did and a lot of trappers do, I usually place two or three traps at the start in the closest loops of my spawn place and then go to seek a survivors and chase him, always a trap in the hand for closing a jungle gym or a loop while chasing.
And of course, Corrupt Intervention is mandatory in trapper imo.
-
The disposition of the map and the design of the assets good, but it's too bright for my taste and there are an ambiance sound which sounds too similar to a survivor healing.
-
Everytime they release a killer who don't let you loop around a rock or a pile of boxes several times before droping the pallet or abusing infinites the survivors say "is boring" or "is annoying". Just adapt and don't play like you have the Benny Hill theme in the background, you are too used to that.

Thrilling tremors is the only perk that actually needs a cooldown it would be op as ######### if it had a cooldown
No, you need to achieve a down and grab the survivor. It's an inforation perk. The cooldown would be necessary if the gen in which the survivor are working was blocked too or the gens were blocked for 30 secunds due the huge snowball by downing and grabbing survivors quickly. Following your logic BBQ would need a cooldown too.
-
Is one of the killer perks that have cooldown for no reason, like Thrilling Tremors and Territorial Imperative.

The answer - and what I hope will happen - is that high MMR now placing a lot of attention on the longstanding massive balance issues in the game will make the devs adjust killers so that there's more variety at the high end and that everyone can have more fun.
High MMR does tend towards a more 'set' meta and does play out sweatier than more intermediate levels.
I really hope that we can reach a place where new/intermediate/veteran players can all enjoy this game without it coming down to a Hobson's Choice.
CoH is even more broken against Wraith due his "hit and run" mechanic and the fact he can't snuff a totem while cloaked.
-
Ruin, Undying, Pop/Deadlock and an information perk of choice (BBQ, Thrilling Tremos, Discordance or Tinkerer).
It's a boring build, but I think it's the best against SWFs.
-
There are ways for make the people at the top feel better: nerfing or removing some survivor items or addons and nerfing some overused perks, specially Dead Hard.
I'm not in the top MMR as killer, but I watch streamers frequently who are in the top and they're forced to play "sweaty" more by addons and perks than survivor skill itself. Purple medkits, CoH, 4 Dead Hards, Borrowed Times, Brand New Parts, frequent offerings for survivor sided maps (Haddonfield, Ormond, Badham,...).
Nerfing or removing broken addons like BNPs and purple medkits would help a lot, as well as making map Offerings ultra rare items maybe.
-
I've seen some videos of that game and in my opinion the "survivors" are maybe more fun than DBD ones because is not holding M1 all the time, but the killer looks too bland in mechanics and way less fun than DBD, in addition there are very few killers and you can't chose?
I'm more hyped for Dragon Ball: The Breakers, no kidding.
-
I disabled it.
And sometimes people try to add me to friends only for flaming me in chat, it's pretty funny because they think I'll accept them.
-
Play Doctor with Distressing, BBQ and the best bonus BP offerings you have.
-
1221 hours. Maybe 300 as survivor the rest as killer.
-
Most of the people who hate the MMR have high MMR, and they are what? 5% of the player base?
MMR is not perfect and need tweaks, but the rank system is far worse, except for tryhader players too used to steamroll other players, the SBMMR is better.
-
In fact I stopped using Freddy a few weeks after the reworks and only use him occasionally for a daily mission.
The pre rework Freddy was pretty weak and a lot of people considered him the weakest killer in the game but he was way more fun than the current one. I loved being invisible until sleeping a survivor and looking their auras outside the terror radius.
I think he didn't need a rework, only buffs and maybe the teleports to gens he have now.
-
People tend to call tunneling to things that are not tunneling.
Tunneling = look for the unhooked survivor to down him quickly and hook again.
If I spot randomly the unhooked survivors without looking for him actively some time after the unhook it's not tunneling.
Some survivors even consider tunneling if you didn't hook the other 3 before hooking them again, lol.
I had to set the comments in my Steam Profile private due the false accusations "-rep tunneling" in the comments.
-
I'm surprised you mentioned several things and you didn't mentioned the worst: PALLET PARADISE, not only the total amount, also the amount of safe pallets.
Before the rework that map was a bit killer sided, but for balancing it a bit, instead of some creative ideas like more mindgamable Jungle Gym rooms like the one in the 1st floor or an "indoor shack" they just threw a bunch of pallets, PreTTy GooD JoB So FaR.
-
IF at least the amount of Bloodpoints they usually give when they mess up something were decent. It rarely reaches the 500k BP, or Even 300k.
-
In my opinion Hemorrhage and Mangled effects should be merged.
-
For me the SBMMR is the BEST patch of its history since I started to play (2018).
-
Killers can't do bones, only snuff them. If the totem were destroyed in the process it would be fine, because a survivor who know a totem spawn couldn't boon it again and again and spend time looking for a new totem.
Killers don't have aura reading for totem aside his hexes, only a sound feedback.
Killers don't need a second objetive because the gens speeds fly.
-
It's very simple, if you are healed or touch a gen then you are not tunneled.
The perk is fine now and have its intended function.
-
Feng Min, the cutest thing in DBD.
-
No, as main killer I prefer RPD instead Haddonfield or Badham which are the worst maps imo.
-
Dead Hard.
-
No, that perk can make you jumpscare one time when you don't know the killer have it equiped, but as long as you know that perk is present you only have to stay aware of the surronding and the sounds. If you are still having a hard time against killers with the perk then just equip Spine Chill.
-
A good meter for knowing if you have an high MMR is the amount of hackers you face, if you face hackers frequently then you have a high MMR, if you rarely face a hacker or never face a single one then your MMR is not that high.

I don't get your point, if a lost and my mmr goes down, the next time i have 2k, my mmr immeadiatly goes up and put me in the same looby as a swf with 5k hours. I'm with 500 hours in the game, i started last year on Blight realease and i don't have all day to play this game, if the game put me in hard game every match as killer, i'll never have the time to learn how to play properly.
I'm pretty casual too, I have the game since 2018, two weeks after the Spirit release and I have 1200 hours in 3 years. It's not a guy with 5k or more who is speaking to you. I know the MMR raise too fast, but I still think you need to improve as killer, watching goodt streamers help a lot for improving as killer, not simply playing a lot, at least in my case and again, the game have balancing issues and is survivor sided, but not achieving a single hook it a lot of matches, even against decent survivors is a sign of the need to get better, you only need patience and being open to learn, not just DCing when survivors are outplaying you.

no it isn't good. you play with someone new and they bring you down you can get stuck with people that are afraid of the crows. Then you get stuck there. without a change to how you earn points it's #########.
I've read in some place that raising the MMR as survivor is not only achieved by escaping, also by standing more time in the match, so if you are in a low MMR as solo survivor will slowly will raise your MMR and eventually will be paired with better survivors. In fact I can corroborate this, I'm pretty mediocre as survivor and after a few days in low MMR hell I've been finally paired with more competent team mates and checking their profiles I see a lot of people with 800-1000 hours. If you play just fine and stay in the match as much as possible you raise your MMR as solo eventually. You still can have bad luck and be downed and facecamped in the first minutes, but its not that usual.
-
Maybe, but maybe it also take them as long as Quentin.
-
You're right with the gen speeds, but I don't think you need to have a full build of gen regression perks to win, also not achieving a single hook make me think you just need to improve as killer. Don't get me wrong, the game is pretty much survivor sided atm, but you need to improve as killer. The SBMMR is good, if you keep losing matches instead of disconnecting you will face worse survivors eventually. I think DCing don't reduce your MMR because a lot of people would exploit that. If you want to reduce the MMR without playing just stay AFK some matches like some of us did in the old times with the rank system.
PS: Bruh, the post getting 7 upvotes make me feel embarassed as main killer.
-
The hamster jumping in the cage of the top floor EEK EEK. It made me jumpscare sometimes despite knowing its existence.
-
After what they did with Badham and Coldwind I don't expect balancing changes, only a visual update.
@woundcowboy Coal Tower doesn't favors the killer, but in my opinion is the only balanced map in the entire game. The only killer sided maps in the game are Midwich and Shelter Woods. Without gen regresion/protection perks equiped ALL the maps are survivor sided.
-
When a survivor drop their item they're are not begging for mercy, it's a sign of respect because they had fun or because you have played well, at least that's the meaning for me and some people I know.
-
Me.
With 4.4 killers that perk is potentially better than Pop because you can pop a gen without having to travel to that gen, the drawbacks are not always a Scourge Hook near you and 10% less reduction than PGTW, but I think it still compensate due de amount of time you spend travelling to a gen which is unbearable sometimes with slow killers, specially in huge maps like Mother Dwelling. Also the perk aumatically pop the gen with most progression and you don't have to look for it which also cost you a lot of time and you don't always know which is that gen.
-
BHVR said they will do something with the prestiges for reducing the grinding but it's still a complete mystery atm.
@fay13 The paid killers (all from movies or other videogames) aren't expensive if you buy the standalone ones (Ghostface, Leatherface and Pinhead) when their DLC is on sale or keyshops (around 2.5€) and the rest in the ingame shop which cost 500 auric cells (5€). Considering that, all the paid killers cost around 32.5€, it's not that much, less in dollars I guess. And for reducing the grinding considerably I advise you to buy Leatherface ASAP for his perk BBQ and Chile which potentially reduce the grinding for leveling to the half.
-
That's the counterpart of survivors teabagging in escape gates after genrushing and thinking they're good for holding M1.
Both sides have dumb people.
-
Huntress from far away is the most satisfying I think.
The least satisfying is Myers, it's just an M1 with an increased range. Ghostface is the same but at least it's harder to achieve the instadown power and harder to achieve the down itself because his power doesn't last too long.
-
I want to play with Sluzzy, but not as survivor, against her, then I'll facecamp her while shacking the head and later I'll come to the forums to see if there are a post of her blaming the killers for something.
-
It's hard in PC too, the most of the times I achieve the Main Event I cant use it and using it while chasing a survivor doesn't mean a down if they are in jungle gyms or simply in maps with a lot of walls or high profile loops.
@Pizzasauce for doing that challenge I had to lose while trying to hit the survivors from far aways which is not efficient at all, I hate the challenges which encourage you to play bad.
-
I've used that perk with wraith for countering his main counter (Sprint Burst). In my opinion it have been always an underrated perk, for countering Dead Hard is not that good, because a survivor can remove the little exhaustion easily in a jungle gym or the shack, but for countering the rest of the exhaustion perks except Adrenaline it's very good.
-
It's not only problem of the amount of antiloop killers released lately, also the size of a lot of maps is simply too much big for a low mobility killer (the majority of the roster), a lot of maps are simply too big which means more space for W and wider space between generatos difficulting the patrolling and downing a survivor at same time.
I've said this several times in this forums, but in my opinion the maps should be reworked to have the size of Coal Tower or a bit bigger (no more than 140 square tiles) and of course the maps which already have dead zones in the edges with some stuff for balancing in favour of the survivors too.
-
The Doctor.
Aside from Discipline, Electrodes, Iridiscents and maybe Calm, the rest are all bad. Order, Restraint and the Tapes are trash.

use huntress i ran into a nancy doing this and i threw hatches at her to get her down
I know you can counter that with ranged killers, but I'm not going to play ranged killers all the time for the possibility of spawning in that map and someone doing that.

@Shroompy said:
You can actually go up there as killer
The window up there, theres a hole next to it. If you angle yourself properly you can lunge over the hole and it will hop you on top of the window
I didn't know.
Anyway, I don't have to prance around for hitting a survivor who go there easily.
-
Why removing them? the charms of the free version are usually trash with some exceptions, but there are nice free cosmetics, the butterfly plague is top tier and the gothic Feng is so cute for example.
-
At least it is not so frequent as I thought, I'm looking forward to not seeing that map never.
-
It happened to me. In fact I received 10.000 BP more after a match as a reset in ash rank. Also the pip system is bugged, I've depiped after a 4K in Ash IV despite the bar showed two pips.
-
Ghostface, some of them stay stealthy near the hook.
I don't say Hag because is part of his gameplay to put a trap under the hooked.
-
Disable crossplay.
-
I wouldn't expect much about the Haddonfield and Swamp changes, I was expecting some of Coldwind maps and Badham to be less unfair for killers and finally nothing, only a visual update. House of pain and chained loops still exist in Badham and Fractured Cowshed remains as unfair as always and now with breakable walls that must be destroyed for removing infinites, etc.
