Because the perk only activates when the person with the perk is engaging in the healing action.

I guess that makes sense, though the name is not very coherent with it then..

  • There is nothing funnier than a friendly default Dredge headbanging.

  • I think as long as you download the game from the same Epic account, it should be fine !

Thank you, that's actually pretty simple, hahaha,I thought i had to get it off wiki 😂

You're very welcome, fellow Legion enjoyer !

Oh yeah I guess that's cool, thanks for the tip.One more question how do you guys have those pictures of characters on your pfp?

Clic on your profile, then "edit profile" and on the right side of your screen there should be "change my picture" :)

  • What a beautiful day to be blind

  • I wonder what happens when two solos who both have Solidarity and are injured have to heal. Sounds like it would be a funny back and forth !

she prob lowering her MMR and the fact that she got way more point than the other without an escape bonus really goes against your point.

I wasn't particularly making a point, title is just a popular phrase used for comedic effect. =)

While I do believe that to some degree, prestige doesn't really mean a better player (I for one am a terrible survivor despite my prestige level growing slowly on my main), it seems natural to me that when someone's on prestige 1 billion, it clearly makes them more experienced and probably more skilled.

As for her bloodpoints, I didn't really go after her during the game because I knew she'd probably be able to loop me a bit too well, so she mostly sat on gens during this game. The event offering really boosted her rewards. Compared to Zarina, who I chased a fair bit yet still managed to score 45k without an event offering, I don't think she made that much more in truth. =)

She might be lowering her MMR, that would explain how I was matched with her at all haha !

  • As far as I know, PT doesn't stack itself. If all 4 survivors are on a gen, it will be quicker than if they were 2, but the number of them that have PT in their loadout does not speed up the gen further than if only one person had it.

  • I'd like some kind of buff to Solidarity as well ! I remember picking it up in the Shrine a couple of months ago thinking it might be nice since I'm usually going for unhooks with We'll Make It and healing quickly after, but I haven't actually taken the time to play around with it.

I don't really play them that much sadly and most of the ones that really did aren't around the forums anymore.

Important thing is that the yellow gas is a chase tool. In the mayority of the cases it's not worth to traverse the map. (Exception being when you need to reload anyway you can throw a yellow gas at your feet so you can make up some of the lost time of the reload)

You catch up really fast when you have both yellow and purple gas so on some longer loops you can really surprise some players

Throwing the yellow gas at the pallet side when you are at the other end and then throwing a purple one where you were while looping to the yellow gas is often a hit if the survivor stays at the loop.

It is different for every loop though which is what makes clown kinda tricky.

Yellow gas is also usefull if you don't know where a survivor will go. Throwing one ahead of you where you know survivors are allow you to start the chase with a nice speed boost no matter which direction the survivor goes

Some general tips are also that the gas spreads more if you threw it higher up. For example if you throw it at the ceiling of shack you pretty much cover the entire area.

Wish i could give more tips but i don't really play him often enough

The saying "Practise makes perfect" is flawed. What it should be is "practise makes permament"

Somebody who does the wrong thing for a 1000 hours is going to be worse then somebody who does it right for 100 hours

Thanks for the advice ! I'll try and practice that when I'll play him next =)

I heard that for Hags its tough to teleport to traps if there are multiple floors. I heard one complained about Midwich which surprised me. Granted, I never dared to play Hag yet. I'll wait for bots

It might be if they're using the addon that lets you teleport to untriggered traps, but I've never had a problem teleporting when on several floors when playing without it. The only time I can see it being a problem is if there are two traps simultaneously triggered, in which case you have to look towards the one you want to teleport to, but it's not that common in my experience.

Anyway, good luck in your next games =)

I dunno how, but somehow learning it came more naturally to me than the old one ever did. Like a missing piece of the puzzle falling into place. New RPD suits me great actually. I use Darkness Revealed, so I get a decent amount of aura reading and I know the blind spots if I dont see anyones aura. The corridors are tight for surviors, but not too tight, and my Trickster bias comes and says its perfect for a flurry of knives since they cant hide much. Plenty unsafe low wall loops. Im sure its hell for other killers tho. I dunno how they do it, but I do admire them when they do it and get a 4k, even if its on me. Sucks when Im tunneled or camped out by a Doctor or Wraith or Huntress. But eh, thats life

Oh I can see it being great on Trickster ! =D I actually got 4K'd by a Trickster there a couple of weeks ago haha !

It's a really, really good map on Hag because it's not too large to teleport now, and unless survivors want to crouch at each doorway, there are bound to be traps they can't see and will run into =D

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Fun fact: you can get a survivor to prestige 99 without ever playing survivor

But yes that is pretty scary. Great that you played the match anyway! Clown is a tricky killer to master so i hope you can get good at him

I don't mind taking a few Ls, so I rarely dodge lobbies =) Plus I tend to have a sort of... baby charm ? Survivors are generally very nice to me even on killers I'm decent at. It kinda sets a precedent of me not being afraid of getting BM'd. =D

I was playing Clown for a daily, but he does sound fun ! I do have a question though, if you play him regularly : how do you use the yellow bottles? So far I've pretty much ignored them because I feel restless sitting in the gas waiting for it to take effect !

  • Sounds like new players alright !

I remember struggling to do gens on most maps just because I couldn't for the life of me find one ! Deja Vu was my friend for a little while just because of this.

Luckily, most people at this mmr are all pretty much equally bad, so they have all the time to learn. Or to leave after getting discouraged...

I have to give it props that aesthetically it does rock. But its like the art team took predecence in map making and not the balancing team. I love the DBD art team to bits and pieces, but the balancing team needs to step in. I do play both sides, but Trickster is my pride and joy and I do side with killers more. But even so, I dont like it when a map is a stomp for any side. Killer nor survivor. But considering I play killer more, this really isnt a fun map for me. Granted not even as survivor. But that might be tainted from my killer experience

The map IS dark and Im glad its not just me. This is kinda funny since there was a poll saying if day time maps should exist. I think after Garden of Pain, for sure its good to have light maps. Because with this and new Haddonfield. The devs kinda overkilled the darkness

Funny enough, I just had those 2 maps back to back. I had Garden which was a triple Meg and a Mikaela, 0k ofc, when I wrote the og post. And after that East Wing RPD I finished now and had a 4k. I think the reworked RPD is so much better. Old RPD's greatest sin was pretty much that it was too faithful to the game since RE2 is a slow paced puzzle solving game, so it smap should be a large maze. But DBD is fast paced cat and mouse chase game, and a huge maze of RPD was hell with abusable libraray. New RPD is so much better since I actually know where and what connects and I can navigate so much better

I'm still very bad at RPD, but that's on me for not taking the time to learn the layout (I don't feel like inflicting the map on others via offerings, so I should probably get into a custom at some point haha!). For now as survivor I hate it because I have absolutely no orientation whatsoever on that map.

As killer it's literally 50/50, since it's a really powerful Hag map but a poor Legion one, so it's gonna be hit or miss for me most times. :)

  • Hillbilly with that addon that makes his chainsaw silent if you're not in his TR, and Tinkerer. On an open map preferably.

This got many, many surprised expletives from me the couple of times I saw it !

  • I love the map esthetically, but I don't really like it as killer or as survivor.

As killer, because that house is too damn dark ! I have just learnt last week about a whole part of the house I didn't know existed (the upstairs corridor that leads to a window) because I just never saw it ! The rest of the map is fine in terms of lighting in my opinion, and I don't play killers for whom collision is important so I can't speak for the bushes. I feel like the map also has truly horrendous hex totem spots as well.

I don't really like getting it as survivor either, because for some reason I rarely get good games on it. But that's not in a rational way, I just rarely feel like playing on that map.

I'd stil call RPD worse than Garden of Joy, though it's worse for everyone and not particularly one side.

  • If there's no snowball potential, I do it ! Sometimes I regret it (looking at you Dwight who then farmed and teabagged me on hook making buddy buddy with killer to get hatch)

But most times I dont. I play in duo so most of my contentment playing survivor comes from just hanging out with a friend. I wouldn't touch SoloQ with a 10 ft pole, I much prefer killer as solo role. So, if I can sacrifice myself to get a possibly solo person out, I'll probably do it.

Same reason I tend to offer kills to some killers who otherwise barely got any hooks all game. I don't care that much about escaping, especially during an event that makes me win so much bloodpoints just playing the game normally.

  • I've been having trouble pulling down pallets as well, sometimes it just feels like the prompt doesn't want to appear.

On another note, did you saccrifice yourself to the entity for this screenshot ? That endgame collapse timer seems pretty close to 0 haha !

this was the general idea i was going for

its way more garbage than the buttload of time i put into it

some entity claws around the hook to indicate second phase would be good but im not gonna go that far, having to create a full hook from scratch myself was work enough

It looks really good ! :D

  • @HoodedWildKard said:

As long as it can only he done when only one other survivor is left. Enough people suicide on hook just to get out of a match as it is.

Cool idea though, could even give you an altruism bonus for doing so. "Leave me behind" on triggering your own death on hook. And perhaps a bigger bonus if the last survivor manages a hatch escape after. "Not in vain"

    I like that idea a lot :)

  • Legion and Hag. :)

Legion because they're comfortable to play, I like going for chain hits, their chase music is cool and I like their lore. Plus, bunny Legion is cute and perfect for friendly games when I just want to mess around and meme with survivors. They're the first killer I played regularly to learn that role.

Hag because she looks extremely cool, she's one of the reasons I even bought the game after watching my friends stream it for a while, I like the idea of a jumpscare killer ! :D She's the first killer I tried playing, before realizing I'd better start with something a bit simpler (hence, Legion!). She's definitely the most challenging killer I play regularly.

My other killer at the moment is Ghostface, who I'm enjoying a lot ! I'm also starting to learn Doctor and Spirit, because they're really fun to play and Doctor's one of my favourite killers to go against.

  • I'd say it's 50/50 for me. Either they're facecamping or they're some of the fairest players I meet. :)

  • Precisely because it rarely ever happened, I don't really care about this change ?

I think if it basically never happened unless to have fun harassing the killer, it's a prime example of a nice change that doesn't affect regular gameplay but prevent those edge cases.

Well, yes and no. I Get what you are saying, but no I mean literally with someone who is runnng Kindred in the party, if you constantly see the killer near the hooked survivor, they are too close to the hook to get any MS value... I mean I play both sides, and I use MS sometimes, so that's why I am making this post because it's baffling how often I see killers literallly facecamping while running MS... Now, maybe the survivor isn't on an actual Scourge Hook, but... either way, it's obvious from my friend who runs Kindred that this killer is staying way too close to the hook to be getting MS value.

I meant this about people not really reading how the perks work haha.

But yeah, I've seen a few MS lately, which is nice. A bit more variety :) I didn't see any of them camp really though, but I wouldnt be surprised. MS is a general perk a lot of people sit on, so it kind of falls into the category of perks you feel like you obviously know the effects of but could be wrong on a detail !

Oh, I’m not the only one?! I sometimes have to stop playing the game and go lay down for a bit. But just for the OP I will pick Nurse and fail miserably with her as much as I can so I can yank her kill rate in hopes she gets buffs and Op can face her more.

Glad to know it's not just me ! :) One of my friends wanted me to try her out because he mained her for a while, but a single custom game was enough to see she's just not for me haha.

Mad respect for players who manage to track survivors consistently despite looking down every few seconds, and who still have a working brain afterwards haha !

  • This gives me the same vibes of those survivors accusing me of camping.... when I mori'd them all with Devour Hope.

  • @some_guy1 said:

bound will let go of a survivor if wesker starts falling down from a height during bound

Ok, I didnt know it was a feature !

  • Yeah, it's pretty bad.

If anything, if a skillcheck decides to pop up the second you're leaving the gen, it should follow you like Overchargr skillchecks do.

  • I think it's a fair risk-reward situation. You might lose one opportunity to hook but now a couple more people are injured, which slows down the game.

Plus some perks on both sides are built around that : STBL, Mad Grit, Mettle of Man come to mind.

  • Wish I had more time to practice drawing, this sounds fun.

  • I think the question is how it can be made more bearable for console that wouldn't nerf it hard. It's already a shelved perk for me, I'll put it on for a few games, get no apparent value from it, and then take it off until I feel like giving it another chance.

I do agree that when playing killer I truly see it shine, but it remains extremely situational and rarely more than a minor inconvenience unless I'm on RPD or Lery.

  • Oh that is a spicy one !!!

  • Sorry, I can't :(

Nurse's fatigue is too visually disorienting to me. Playing her makes me feel unwell :/

  • @AnneBonny said:

i don't get why they keep changing the pallet model, the one we have now looks perfectly fine imo. i do like the basement visual changes though, it looked really outdated on the newer maps.

have they ever explained why rpd's basement is different? it's a bit bigger and the stairway is wider, i never understood why it looks how it does.

I've been wondering the same thing !

  • I'm fine with daily rituals being random, but I'll always get depressed getting the "open gate with X character" challenges. I already don't see the gates being powered every game (or even half the time), so it kind of grates me needing to spend bloodpoints on those characters to give them perk slots.

It's gotten tremendously better now that my regular perks are shared among all survivors (thank you prestige update!), but I'll still generally dodge them because I can't bother.

  • I've had the same issue yesterday evening !

  • I'll admit I haven't really paid attention to the breakdown of my bloodpoints...

Well I often fall into the position of my teammate leading the killer to the gen I'm on so I dont need to go far lol, or I usually on transition between gens and see the down, definitely no point in following people to get one but it is nice to get saves on people as I never see others do it in my games tbh

I dunno that worries me, I never thought they was all that difficult unless it was a new killer with a weird new animation. I guess it makes bad servers easy to blind on now

I'm sorry teammates lead killer to you often ! I'm guilty on that one to be honest, I generally don't know where anyone is and when chased I flail around more than anything. I do try to lead killer away or get downed on purpose if I noticed I led the killer to a teammate, so that they have time to get to safety. I still feel guilty afterwards haha.

Sounds like you are a great teammate ! And you're right, we don't see many flashlight saves these days... At least in low and middle mmr, which is where I yo-yo.

Anyway. I wish you great games on this double bp weekend :)

  • I honestly understand the reactions of your teammates to be honest. The few times I've had a flashlight and not been either tunneled for it or been at the other side of the map during a pickup, I couldn't get it quite right.

From what I understand, the timing is just a bit more lenient in terms of the right frame to start blinding, but not very a very noticeable change from the killer's perspective. Late blinds will still be late and therefore avoidable, and early blinds still won't free the survivors. It's just a couple more frames, so the timing still has to be a bit precise, just not frame perfect.

  • @Canas said:

I managed to have 3 of them downed during endgame, two of these were thanks to Mad Grit actually. Sadly "No Mither" pretty much invalidates all of that and hooks are a bit too far away from each other to keep these downed survivors in check.

Oh, I hadn't seen No Mither ! That's really unlucky, I've never seen it being actually useful haha.

But yeah getting downs with Mad Grit at the hook is the funniest thing to me. I once had everyone on the ground because they didn't know the perk was a thing and kept thinking "one more hit and they're out !"

  • I love that you used Mad Grit. I don't know if you got any value from it, but I like the perk and don't see it often. Was nice instinct putting it on when you saw it was a SWF, it could have worked well :)

  • I was a bit disappointed by flashbang honestly. I feel like I rarely get value from it. Even when I play killer, if I see someone dropping one I just look up and I'm generally fine.

  • I think it depends on the level at which you play and who you play... The game is not survivor-sided or killer-sided as a whole.

I think the most general you could get about it is low skill being killer sided, medium being quite balanced and high skill being survivor (or at least complete swf)-sided.

That is only my opinion though :)

This has to be the best instance of this happening 😂

    Capture d’écran 2022-10-28 à 11.33.58.png

    ("Nice 99'd stalks !")

I had another experience last night, I wrote something like "Was nice facing you :D" where the last two words and emote were filtered, leading to much confusion for the poor killer who thought I was rude.

  • I've had the same happen many, many times.

The thing is that the filter is super dumb, but also somewhat smart.

Like it will filter the most random stuff "claudette", "hope", "99'd", and so on and so forth.

But if you're trying to write it over several messages it will understand what you're doing and censor parts of it when it catches on that you're trying to go around it.

  • Is that really BM ? If a survivor emotes at me after a stun I often take it as playful banter and headbang at them in return, so they know I'm in for some joking around. It generally makes the mood of the game pretty light-hearted afterwards and I've never had complaints about it. :)

Though if this is really a challenge, then I wonder what went through the challenge maker's head. This community is already known for being susceptible and prone to BM, I don't know why they would think it's a good idea to exacerbate that.
