I think it would be fun to have more exhaustion causing perks.
Like, I don't think survivor exhaustion perks should be nerfed. They're in a good place right now in my opinion.
But having more perks to cause exhaustion for a while would be a nice counter (unfortunately would counter Iron Will too).
-
By definition the game is not competitive and I don't think it should be pushed in that direction.
I think those competitions are not a good thing because then regular players look at the rules and are like "BuT LoOk At ThE bAn LiSt SuRvIvOr Is OvErPoWeReD pLz NeRf" as though the game should be balanced around literal comp players instead of the mean skill & coordination of the actual playerbase.

I want a werewolf killer so bad
The closest thing we have to a humanoid creature that eats people are Hag and Demo, and I wasn't around for Demo.
@ReikoMori said:
It's a bit on the generic side like, we'd just be making a carbon copy of Demo's shred which isn't necessarily a bad thing cause Shred's good. Just I'm sort of left wondering what's the draw to play a Werewolf with that power when Demo exists already and still be obtained if you don't mind taking the risk of buying left over Stranger Things codes.
If feel like if BHVR did a crossover deal with World of Darkness there would be more to work with. Werewolves in WoD actually have like special powers that are pretty unique, but they are for the most part also "morally on the side of good", not that they don't kill people cause they do that a lot and not that there aren't quite a few villainous werewolves. An entire tribe got turbo corrupted into being turbo evil. So could be interesting to have one of the named Black Spiral Dancers.
Is buying leftover keys a thing ? Can you get banned for it ?
(Not thinking on doing it, there's more than enough killers for me to play as is)
-
I don't know if it's a fix-it to say, but when I did the challenges for survivor, I did one random game, did not fulfill the challenge, immediately queued up and had regular perks during the next game.
I chalked it up to not having checked in my loadout that it was indeed random, so I made sure to check I had the random icons, and the next game the challenge worked correctly.
Maybe you can try that ?
I haven't done the killer random challenge so if this one is glitched in a unique way I don't know what you can try ! ^^'

Good point about changing play style and waterlogged shoe, but it'd be nice if said play style was like, at all better or at least good
Hahaha I can't argue with that ! Hag has a lot of addons that change her power in big ways, but the two that prevent from teleporting are very memey. I'm sure good players can make them work, and I'm kinda glad they exist just for the unexpected factor.
I'll have to try them out at some point ! I've always played Hag with yellow addons to get used to her normal playstyle, but it must be really amusing throwing on a more unique build like Waterlogged / Scarred Hand. ^^
-
Iris are either supposed to be very strong or to change the playstyle heavily. In that, Waterlogged Shoe has its place in iris, especially since in good iris you also have Mint Rag.
Brown addons should be addons that are either a small buff that's overshadowed by other addons (Rope Necklet vs Cypress Necklet) or something that makes playing the killer easier for beginners without changing the playstyle too much.
I think most brown addons are very much ok, and if a killer is bringing brown addons, then great ! They're not picking stronger stuff =)
-
Haven't seen one since the last anniversary, haha
-
I discovered in a pretty sad way that Autohaven was not killswitched anymore
Though the player who sent me there was a very talented and very sweet looper, so not all hope was lost ! Stayed to be sacrificed so that I could get more points, just very kind overall.
And right as I was typing this, I realized that the game crashed when I alt+tabbed. Well, rip those pips.
-
I think you need to "check" your build to confirm it's randomized ?
When I did it the first time, it randomized well, but when I just jumped into the next ame without looking at my perks again, it was not randomized.
It might be intentional in case people forget that they're doing randomized ?
-
Another victim of cat interference !
Mine has learned how to unplug my screen's cable, and associated it with "now human gives me attention =)", so whenever she deems I've played enough and now is pet time, she hugs the cable until it detaches from the computer.
-
One of my favorite killers to go against ! His addons are so cool ! He might be the only killer that makes me ecstatic when I see they're using iri addons.
I'm planning on learning him but I can't say I play too much of him currently !
-
I didn't farm that many flans last year during the anniversary, and I lost a lot of them prestiging characters before the prestige rework to get them to P3 for perks, so I lost most of them (on characters I didnt main, so didn't care that much).
Still, I think I have about 20 on Legion and 30 on Hag !
-
Probably depends on your mmr.
Low and mid survivor is very hard, while at that level killer is easy (at least in my experience)
High mmr survivors are much more efficient and killers have to play near perfectly and often quite scummy
-
What can I say, Pig's cute !
I always try to boop the snoot at least once, even if it means giving up on a hook stage if they're not feeling it. =)
-
Point 2 : *Exists*
Me who uses Ace in the Hole / Appraisal for fun lootboxes : =|
Otherwise I do try really hard to get Point 1, 3 and 4, I even put on Deja Vu this past week to never lose time finding a gen and being mindful of 3gens.
But sometimes killers really have a good gen pressure and there's not much I can do but respect ! =)
-
Instadowns are much more common than instaheals, if instaheals even exist in the first place beyond Adrenaline. So I'd say they're more impactful by sheer numbers.

They were playing the game though? Their teammates left them on hook till second stage while the killer literally went and did patrols and other chases. Then they decided to heal under hook rather than putting some distance between themselves and OP before doing the risky conspicuous action that removes their safety net of base kit BT. The team made two high risk decisions that didn't pan out for one of them. The situation would have been completely avoided had they unhooked during first stage rather than waiting till second stage and could have been mitigated if they had of ran away from the area that they know is being highlighted for the killer before starting to heal so they weren't so out in the open.
We're talking two different things.
You're talking logic, which I acknowledged to be justified.
I'm talking empathy and good sportsmanship. This person was not responsible for their teammates throwing them under the bus.
Not the same viewpoint, and both can coexist.
-
Mad Grit being S tier as it should be. <3
-
I don't like to face any of the ranged killers to be honest, save for maybe Huntress sometimes.
Deathslinger's TR is depressing to me.
-
I'm a sucker for player interaction, and often friendly, so when I saw this player called "Nod For Boom" in the lobby I was excited to have fun with them.
One of the survivors DC'd during the loading, preventing the meeting of greater minds.
There was also the chance meeting of a survivor named "21 cm" and a killer named "Sugar Mommy", which I won't describe here but was rather amusing.
This one made me smile also X)
-
To each their own. My opinion on this is that sure, their fun isn't your responsability. Tunneling is a valid tactic if you want to play like this.
However, you're purposefully preventing someone from playing a game, knowingly making it an especially unpleasant experience for them as though they were a bot and not a person. So in return, it's their right to express their dissatisfaction at you. If you push someone into a salt mine and give em tools to collect it, don't be surprised if they throw some in your face.
-
Making it so that the perk doesn't get used up if you just tapped the hook or cancelled the sabo for any reason.
-
On PC, the powers are keyed to Q, which on azerty keyboards is the key to "going left".
My first few games (which happened to be killer games) were really confusing until I understood the issue !
-
The silly player interactions !
I do play seriously (well... seriously for someone as soft as I am !) in general but I rarely feel more fun in the game than when something goofy happens and the players on both sides react to it.
As survivor, most of the fun comes from playing with a friend or two. There's not really any tension of "will we win?" since at my level survivor is about dying most of the time, so I wouldn't bother if I didn't have someone to joke around with.
As killer I really enjoy being goofy or friendly. All of the killers I've tried are really fun to play as mechanically, and I'm not too fazed about winning or losing. Tight, stressful games are not my cup of tea !
I also really enjoy doing custom games with friends, especially since the bots were added and we don't need to be 5 to have fun together rotating the roles.
So yeah, mostly player interaction, having fun chats and this kind of stuff. =)

Marry: Spirit. Or maybe not. Don't know how old she was when she died.
F: Skull Merchant (can't deny she's a physically attractive woman)
K: Skull Merchant
Preferrably in that order.
You'd cheat on poor Spirit ? :O
-
Marry : I don't do romance, so none of them
F (once they've had a good shower) : Huntress, Pig, Ghostface, Artist, Wraith, PH, Myers, debatably the older two Legion members if they're of age
Kill : Probably Freddy and Wesker

Sprint Burst is actually good though.
Oh I know, it's just playing on one perk is a bit comical.

maybe that random perk thing
Imagine selecting the random challenge, loading into the game and seeing No Mither / Self Care / Sprint Burst / Lithe

That is one fun meme build and I'm here for it !

I've had that experience saturday evening, but my survivor games were very chill when playing in the afternoon this weekend.
Going forward, I'll probably only play killer in the evenings to offer chill games and a little farm. I don't mind "boring" games and neither do my survivors generally.

All of the mentioned plus MMR, hours of each player and every other kind of information that could possibly be gotten. A history of played matches (at least last 10) would be nice - especially if they updated to fill in killer perks/addons/offerings once the game ends.
In endgame screen the match is over. It does not matter for that game any more - so all the other information serves for me to reflect on things (and to correct some biases expectations - like I won because it's soloQ or I lost because it's SWF).
I wouldn't mind those suggestions if there was an option to not display them.
I'm a ######### player and a slow learner. I don't want people to see my game time and mmr and mock me. I don't even want to know my own mmr because then I'd compare mine to my friends and it would put tension in something that should just be a game and fun.
I firmly think mmr should stay hidden if the player does not want it broadcasted.

Devs really be stickin' it to P100 players.
I spent 1mil bloodpoints on my P100 Nea, only received 29 Terrormisus.
In comparison, on a few killers (low prestige levels) - I went from Level 10 to Level 25 (roughly 200k BP?) and had 18-20 Terrormisus stacked each.
What gives? Are we being punished for having a main character? :(
Killers only have Terrormisu, survivors have flashlights, medkits and toolboxes too.
So 1mil on survivor will get you about 30 of each event item (total 100 to 120)
And 1mil on killer will get you about 100-120 terrormisu
(both numbers for bloodwebs lvl1 to 50, probably less on P100 as the lvl 50 bloodweb is more expensive to reroll)
It's not about having a main, more about survivor and killer difference in your case !
-
Saying gg in the chat when winning and losing is just good manners, and that guy had terrible attitude regardless. Many people have 1k or 0k and get told ggwp and take it infinitely better.
I'm bad enough at survivor that I sometimes face players who are on their first few games of that killer, and pretty often I'll try and cheer them up if they got only a few hooks, by telling them something they did right or if it's a killer I've already played, how dreadful my first games as them were. Most respond very positively to encouragements, which I can tell that guy would not have.
-
None are really scary. Big monster killers are obviously not realistic, and stuff that might be scary in movies or atmostpheric games just doesn't work in DbD (sound, music, camera angles plays a lot in horror and DbD just doesn't have that).
I guess people with coulrophobia might be scared of Clown, same as if there was a spider killer I'm be afraid simply because phobia.
The most scariness you can expect in DbD is jumpscares and "Damn, I might get downed", not really fear.
But it's okay ! It's horror-themed, just not horror.
-
Had a terrible experience facing Merciless Storm the other day. The game was lagging so hard that each hard skillcheck made the circle despawn and respawn again a little way off from its last location.
I tried to recreate it in custom and it didn't do it again, so it wasn't even a bug, just the game struggling.
(For context, I'm on a decent gaming PC that has never had trouble running the game on high graphics, and my ping is always at around 40ms)
-
Hopefully it will be an option soon enough ! Many people loved it.
It really makes you discover the value of some perks you're not used to bringing in games.
-
When it's the two last survivors, and there's a couple gens left, the game is already lost and it's gonna be a hatch game. It's pointless to continue working on gens, unless for bloodpoints. If I see that my teammate is just gonna stealth, honestly, I can't blame them.
At this point we generally can see each other through Aftercare. I'll find the killer and get myself chased as far away from the teammate as I can and give them a chance at hatch.
If the killer slugs for the 4K, then by all means, I want that teammate to be the stealthiest mf there is and just wait it out. I'd rather they have a chance than give the greedy greeder an easy 4K. If the killer is ready to make me wait powerless for 4min then they can wait too.
-
If he's really that bad at Nemesis he shouldn't worry about Swf, since at lower and mid levels they're not different from solos when it comes to escape rates.

The devs teasing old Dead Hard's return haha
-
Not only survivors get 4 different items, but also bloodwebs at P100 are very large with a cap on the event item spawns.
Whereas bloodwebs 20-40 are middle sized with as much event item spawns, I believe. It's quicker to reroll.
-
On the other hand, it would also be very funny if they all were really bad.
-
I've played a lot of survivor yesterday, and the difference between playing in the afternoon and late evening is literally night and day. In the afternoon, you get chill and fair killers, and in the evening, tunnel and/or camp pretty much every game. I usually don't mind a little tunnel here and there, it's a valid strat, but every game it gets aggravating.
Will definitely switch to killer for a while.
-
Hooked On You really was a great idea hahaha
-
Part 2 to this is people going on winstreaks to make themselves feel good about their skill, and then complaining when the game pushes back and gives them stronger opponents.
One of my friends went on a super sweaty 100 winstreak on Nurse, took a break from the game, and now is like "why doesn't the game know I just want to chill now ?" "why are survivors so strong"
Maybe because you went on an rampage and now your mmr is super high and out of your comfort zone ? If you sweat that hard to increase your mmr, when you want to go back to casual you'll have to eat humble pie, it's just how the system works...

Never Sleeping Legion, double yellow addon. I can't stand basekit Legion, it's lame to go frenzy hit+m1 every time. Never Sleeping Legion with his mapwide runs should be the basekit Legion IMO.
You beat me to it ! That's exactly what I came here to say XD

Same, yesterday I actually got disconnected from a game and got a DC penalty. It has literally never happened before, as my computer is not playing on Wifi and I usually have one of the best connections out of my friend group.
-
Oh boy haha, prepare for one wild crossover !
Amanda The Adventurer (What can I say ? I like creepy puzzle games)
Killer - The Adventurer
Power would have something to do with TVs and changing between two stances.
Survivor - Either Riley or Kate

Is it okay if I know that I will lose?
Then, is it okay to be provoked by bending and stretching?
even after resetting
Do you mind wasting killer rare addons, time and BP?
I would hate it
I don't play to win, I play to play, so knowing I will lose is not particularly bothering to me.
I don't condone teabagging at the gate, that's gratuitous BM, but I really don't see it often either. Like I said, in my experience people mostly just reset and then leave. Or if I interrupt them to push them out, they just leave.
My addons were not wasted, I did play a game with them. Though I don't typically bring rare addons (I mostly play yellows), even if I brought them they wouldn't be "wasted". Bringing a rare addon is not key to winning and does not mean you're owed a winning game. If you weren't ready to use those addons and lose, then you shouldn't bring them.
It's the same as some survivors being angry about Franklin making them lose their rare items. If you weren't ready to lose them, don't bring them in a trial.
Losing is part of the game. I learn and move on. =)
At least, that's the way I see it.

Also bad connexion to server on EU.
