I like Blast Mine ! I'm always like "Damn, they got me!" when I get blinded with it.
There's no perk I think that's actively fun to go against as killer, as the perks you will notice will generally make the survivor stronger.
The niche things though are fun, like Deception. I like Flashbang because I know it's hard to place without it being obvious !
Nothing else comes to mind at the moment !
-
I don't really care most times. Like, if someone is waiting at the gate because a teammate is still in the trial, I don't take offense to it.
Then people generally just reset in the gate and get out, in my experience.
-
Literally never had complains from survivors about farming. I generally play normally until I got everyone on second hook and then farm. At that point if anyone wants to leave, they absolutely can finish the last couple of gens and get out.
However, they never do. They stay and do silly things and get bloodpoints, and then send hearts in chat because they're happy for the respite between all the sweaty games.
You might not like farming, and honestly that's respectable. But some people enjoy the game differently. I'm occasionally friendly outside of event times, and still the survivors always like it. I like the silly interactions. I'm happy to give them a break =)
Different strokes for different folks !
-
Does it? I've spent 3 million bloodpoints today and at first I picked the anniversary items and auto'd the rest, but after a while I started just clicking on auto and it always picked the 2 or 3 anniversary cakes, even if not at first (would pick one of them last, but never make it go to waste unless it was at the far end of the web from the others).
Though I went automatic on levels 1-40 on killer, so it might be different for survivor or on the higher levels.
(For stats : I got 45 cakes on Haddie out of 1.3m spent (+about 20 of each of the other items), and 110 cakes on Legion out of 1.7m spent)
-
I haven't tried for adept for a lot of killers, but I remember really struggling for Ghostface's.
-
Spies From The Shadows, my love <3
I haven't used it in a while but when I started playing it was my best friend. I have so little object permanence that the lil birbs really helped !
I haven't tried the randomized perks challenge yet, but what do you mean it's not a permanent feature ? Will it like, go away after the event ?

There's nothing fun about farming. You're wasting everyone's time.
I don't know. Everytime I farm I get nice chats from people happy to get lots of bloodpoints and a break from the sweaty games. If one of the survivors don't want to farm, they're welcome to do the gens and escape quickly =)
Different strokes for different folks !

I shall do my part and provide some Legion ! =)
-
It really is a beautiful day today !
-
Me who uses Aftercare : =)
-
Sad Legion main noises
=(
-
I honestly like all of them, but I'm fond of Hexes, as someone who loves Hag =D
They're not perfect, some of them are a meh at best, but I love em.
-
I've got my maxxed out bp, hoping to get a lot of cakes this anniversary !
When I played last year I'd just joined the game, so I was not getting that much bp and a lot of it was spent leveling up various characters who I ended up prestiging before 6.1 to get them to P3 for perks. Only the couple of killers I identified as my mains I kept the flans on, and that was still only about 40 of them.
I'm aiming for at least a hundred on each of my mains this time around ! =D
-
I'm very excited as well ! I haven't been able to play much these past few months because uni + job, but the event coincides with the end of my finals so my time should be a little easier to manage from now on.
Plus one of my closest friends, who's a hardcore killer main, has finally caved in and decided to try out survivor so we can play together. =)
-
2.3 million !
I knew I wouldn't be able to play much in the weeks before the anniversary so I saved my bp at the cap, and then got a few codes and daily rewards.
I'll pour those into Legion and Haddie first and then start prestiging Singularity. =)

I know it's been confirmed to be intended but I like the theory of "Wesker breaking through the killswitch at the same time a random bug correction fixes him coincidentally" too much to let go of it ! He did it once, he can do it twice ! X)

Just send every proud Wesker-owner 150 cakes/flans, or maybe 50 flans per day that he missed of the event, and 80% of the grumpy and disgruntled playerbase will be more lenient and accepting.
Something like this might even make people buy Wesker for the free cakes !

Likewise tbh, I suppose my main thought on it is being super anal about it and thinking of the name in relation to the perk... Currently if you squint and lean slightly you can see it.
Monitor and Abuse: What bigs eyes to see you with, and then slink up with less warning before being all "Surprise Big TR!!!"
If it's just the TR, and I want preface by saying ofc gameplay is FAR more important... but my OCD is sat going "eeeeeeeeeeehhhhhh not sure...." 😅
I understand haha !
I too have my gripes with some perks when it comes to name coherence.
Bite The Bullet that doesn't make you silent if you're being healed by someone else.... it haunts me... X)
-
Not gonna lie, I never use M&A as a FoV perk. I wouldn't notice the FoV thing being removed.
-
I don't think aggravating past partners with lawsuits is the right way to get anything. Most likely it won't work and will be a sure fire way of never collabing ever again.
-
Ace In The Hole + Appraisal, for fun lootboxes =)
We'll Make It, for quick heals to earn forgiveness for the chest build
Aftercare, because it's the most underrated survivor perk. It shows you : where gens are (seeing aura of your teammate working), where killer is (seeing your teammate being chased), where gates are (seeing your teammate open the gate), where anyone is that needs a heal. And they see you too ! So people can come to you for heals when they need it, or find you to work on gens. Best perk in the game =D
-
To me, games are about having fun, and multiplayer games are about having fun with others. Not at them.
Winning is not so important to me as having fun and knowing my opponents had fun as well.
I can't change how my teammates behave, how they play, or how other killers play, but I treat others the way I'd like being treated and so far it's rewarded me with plenty fun and wholesome interactions, 4K or not.
That's all I want from the game.
So in my mindset, fun=winning=4K is hard to understand.

we should be able to trade our lobbys :D
i ll take all of your Weskers, if you take some of my Wraiths, Doctors, Clowns and Spirits
I volunteer for all your Doctors ! I don't see a lot of Weskers but I'd gladly trade them for my guy Doctor =D
(my friends might curse me for this though ! =P)

It really does seem like his hate came out of no where all of a sudden
I mean... These past couple of months there were weekly posts about how people were sick of facing Wesker multiple games in a row, so it's not that out of nowhere.
-
I think the anniversary is on the 22nd. ^^'
As for the bet, I think as long as there's no QoL like KI towards the pod you exited or your FoV focusing on it, it won't be playable for people like me who don't have a strong sense of direction. Could instadown via camera and I wouldn't find the body !
That being said, fingers crossed for some fine tuning over the next few weeks.
-
I feel more strongly about the filter being abysmal on everything else. Like perk names being censored. Or random words.
I once tried complimenting a Myers saying "Nice 99'd stalks ! :)" and it came out "Nice #### #### ! :)"
The killer left thinking I'd just insulted them in a fit of rage.
-
It really should be made possible. Isn't it already possible to spend bloodpoint in other killer's bloodwebs when you're queueing ?
If so, it must be possible to spend bloodpoints in a killer that can't queue.
-
I'm sure he will be reenabled quickly into the event, or that they will either extend the event until he's fixed or give compensation in cakes (how hard can it be to spawn 100 cakes in the inventory of all Weskers ?).
Same with Legion if they decide to killswitch them for that visual bug they have going around (which I dread, but would be fair).
-
I mean. It's sad for the Wesker mains and people who like facing him that he's disabled during the beginning of the event. That's completely understandable. I'd hate if Legion was disabled, especially at this time. If it makes you feel any better, BHVR knows this is a very popular killer, and they'll probably try and make him available as soon as possible even if it means reintroducing him halfway through the event. I'm sure it will be all right. =)
That said, people who don't like him also have a right to say they're happy about not facing him. So long as no one harasses anyone, everyone has a right to their opinion on a video game character.
I can be both sorry for you and happy for me.
-
Every time I see this topic come up I read "Is Garden of Joy the last balanced map in the game ?" and have to do a double take.
-
Hope these Doctors are still around for the anniversary later in the week, I can't play right now but they're my favorite to verse, especially with the red stain addon =D

Strong disagree on the Oni, at low level he's miserable to go against.
I think the best designed killer at low/mid level is, as much as I hate to praise a RE character, Nemesis. Very fun to play as, very fun to play against, doesn't require a lot of skill to play and doesn't require a lot of skill to counter. Perfect for casual players !
-
As someone who doesn't really like anime, doesn't want any of it in DbD, and was born in July, this feels like a birthday present.

I find MMR to often be a convenient scapegoat... Half of the people who complain about it and lobby shop at higher mmrs don't seem to actually understand how it works.
MMR's purpose is to make sure you win and lose roughly half the time. If you're facing survivors that outskill you, SWF or otherwise, the solution is not to shop for easier targets or to switch to ruthless strats you don't particularly enjoy. That only increases your mmr even more and cements your place in that mmr bracket with stronger opponents than you can naturally handle.
It's almost like to these people pride and bragging rights of being high mmr are more important than having fun games, since if things go wrong, they can always blame the system.
-
I think haste buff to the slower party and haste buff to the faster party is not the same and shouldn't be treated as if it was.
HOWEVER.
I honestly love that for Coup !
I know the perk is surprisingly good in some situations but it's still always a mental pain putting on a perk you know will only have a limited number of uses. It might trigger out of chase though, and in that case it won't amount to much. I think it could honestly be put to 5% (1 PWYF stack equivalent) for 8 seconds and would still be fair.
For Superior Anatomy, you're not supposed to blink through the window either unless you put on Bamboozle as well, so I'm "eh" on the suggestion.
Giving it to BBQ is indeed a great idea, also deserving to go a little faster than 3%.
Other perks I could see having a similar effect :
Shattered Hope, gain 5-10% haste after breaking a boon, to make it worth the time lost to look for it and snuff it / be able to break it mid chase and catch up somewhat to the survivor.
Fire Up, after each gen gets completed, a short speed boost, or once after the last gen is done
-
I hope it's Xenomorph, because any other "Iconic" figure I can think of would be a little boring in my opinion. I'm not super fan of Alien either, just, at least it's a creature and not a guy in a mask.
-
You're underestimating the number of people who hate Huntress, lol. Queen of the lag and seemingly unfair hits.
And I'm surprised to see Blight up there in the fun for survivor category.
I second that other user who said fun is subjective.
For me, a killer doesn't have to be very strong to be fun to play as. I main Legion because I find them fun (I make no promises of the survivors finding them fun.) but they're not strong against good survivors.
Similarly, I find Nemesis very fun to play as and against.
I enjoy playing as and against Hag as well (though much of my enjoyment of playing against her stems from my enjoyment of playing her).
I like going against Nurse because it changes the chase into jukes and hide and seek. (Can't play her because she makes me motion sick)
I think it's okay that some killer's counters are not particularly skillful. Not all killers have the ambition of being top mmr material, and low mmr survivors have to be taken into account too. If every killer took much skill to counter, there would be virtually no low skill survivors because they'd just leave or switch to killer.
-
Where's Leon ? He's my choice ! X)
-
Not to mention "Oh, I just marked a survivor in a corridor. Now, what corridor was it again ?"
-
Pills and Mural are 100% of why I pour bloodpoints into Legion despite having a comfortable amount of addons overall.
I'd love to be able to sell offerings or unused addons to get more of those.
-
That random skillcheck might be my number 1, though I feel like it's gotten better recently. Sometimes I let go just as the skillcheck sound is heard and it doesn't explode. So yay ! Progress !
Legion's base Frenzy time being too short to do well on larger maps. Once I've tasted sweet sweet Never Sleep Pills + Sketch Mural I feel like I can't go back to regular Frenzy with other addons. If I ever get to P100 on them it's mostly to stock up on these. Iri Button ? Never heard of 'em. Pills and Sketch's where it's at.
Nemesis' zombies going to hug each other instead of going towards survivors. Adorable, but not helping !
-
Because that's how they are. And maybe it gets them an audience. Like "It's funny to see this guy rage/see this guy making other people rage".
One thing I find particularly irritating is killer streamers putting up channel points redeem like "be super toxic in your next game". That's literally promoting bad behavior with the deniability of "but it's a redeem, it's not who I usually am [innocent face while happily hitting continuously on hook]". Yeah, it's a redeem, and who exactly set it up/accepted it ?
(I wasn't even on the receiving end on that one, believe it or not, I was on their stream to congratulate them after they played my favorite killer with a really cool build against my lobby, and this was their next game)
-
I feel like this wouldn't be a good solution...
For one, peolpe don't necessarily want to talk to strangers on a game reputed for toxicity, even if it's an option.
Second, most people who are on voice comms are chatting because they're friends and not always about the game (I know for one I'm often discussing movies with my friends while playing). Most SWFs are on the level of solos in terms of escape rate, according to the devs. Not every team uses strategic callouts, far from it.
Third, if this is implemented and killers get buffed to compensate, then the situation literally doesn't get better for the people who play without voice comms for a variety of reasons (don't speak english, have social anxiety, want to hear the game and be immersed, don't want to talk to strangers, etc.)
Fourth, if the game is balanced around voice comms, then it essentially forces people to use them efficiently even if they don't want to, and the game becomes a sweatfest. Want to play to relax or grind by yourself ? Now you've got 3 mates in your headphones blaming you for going down quickly in chase or not making specific callouts. (Or on the opposite direction, survivors banding together to shift the blame on killer "being toxic" or "having cheap strats" even if the killer is very much not)
Fifth, the BM. Not even counting people who would just load into a match to bully others, hot blooded people exploding in rage mid match (no one wants to hear your meltdown, chill), badmouthing the teammate who's bad at chases, and mostly, not bothering to help the teammate who has voice comms muted, because "they clearly want to do their own thing, why should I help them ?"... Yeah, not a great idea.
Those are just some of my concerns regarding adding voice comms to the game. I know mine would be off most times. I'm very non confrontational and something tells me if I'm already cringing when my friend mindlessly swears at the killer when he gets downed, I'm not gonna enjoy hearing strangers being all antagonistic towards teammates and killer alike.
-
It's a visual glitch ! On their side the killer cancels Frenzy (it's why you can hear Julie's grunt and see the Legion slowing down) but the animation from the survivor perspective is still the Frenzy one.
Still very weird and seemingly out of nowhere !
It doesn't seem to be linked to particular cosmetics, I've seen clips of default Frank still looking as if he's in frenzy.
-
It's the spice of the game !
This save bug is a delight. Every new clip I see of it gives me dopamine. It's just too funny X)
-
All these are delightful.
-
Same reason many killers go out of their way to make survivors miserable.
