  • So take off Head On and you won't get tunneled then?

Sorry, I know Head On is fun - I also know it's annoying (as killer) to get stunned by Head On.

  • It's not hard to moonwalk, why use a macro for it...?

    4K isn't the point.

It's chasing Survivors that are literally faster than you. No mind-games, no tricks, no strategy ... they just sprint off into the fog.

Super-boring, for both sides I would imagine.

Solution: No haste effects stack for Survivors.

There's multiple killers that have powers to catch up though? Wraith, Billy, Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Spirit, Pinhead, Clown, Legion

You guys act like MFT + Hope is active DURING the game, yet it only activates during the endgame after gens have been completed.

  • @tyrese112499 said:

Mind you im a p100 elodie main but ive been playing killer and im so sick of made for this hope adrenaline and windows. Its so unfun to chase someone whose the same speed as you. Mind you i use made for this on survivor with ftp wglf for the endurance for healing while injured and i say take the haste off or make it not stack its like 2 perks in one. Killer cannot keep up with the chase or gen pressure without tunneling. Its so unfun its insane.

If they make it to endgame, just gg and go next if they're running MFT + Hope. You don't need to 4k every match...

  • Doing gens grants you event points, I know I prioritize completing gens to maximize extra bloodpoints on top of the abundant Terrormisu offerings.

It'd be better if they added event points to breaking totems and getting safe unhooks, in my opinion.

  • @HugTechLover said:

Bring a terromisu and that won’t happen. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't understand why killers want to bring Black Wards or Petrified Oaks... Same goes for survivors wanting to bring low BP offerings and White Wards.

One singular Terrormisu costs 3k BP, and it's not a personal offering. Where's the logic in not bringing it, especially during the event?

Now if we could do something about those greedy rats with Survivor Pudding/Escape Cakes....

  • Devs really be stickin' it to P100 players.

I spent 1mil bloodpoints on my P100 Nea, only received 29 Terrormisus.

In comparison, on a few killers (low prestige levels) - I went from Level 10 to Level 25 (roughly 200k BP?) and had 18-20 Terrormisus stacked each.

What gives? Are we being punished for having a main character? :(

Ever since the anniversary, i've been getting giant lag spikes for one. but that's not what i'm here to talk about

killers! I've been playing survivor because my killer qs are like 10 minutes long. But, when playing survivor.. it seems EVERY killer is sweating, hard. i've faced maybe 14% killers who haven't hard tunnelled, and if they didn't they were running 4 gen regression perks as a spirit or a blight. But regardless, they're almost all running full gen regression anyway, and just sweating for a win instead of having fun in the anniversary. The 5 killer games i've had, there's been all gens done in maybe.. 5-6 minutes at absolute best. I try go for 8hooks and 0 kills, and i can't get close to it because people just seem to be sweating a stupid amount lately. Any thoughts?

First day of the event was great. There wasn't too much sweating happening, but then the second day... killers really started to bring out the nasty builds and began to play dirty. Yesterday, I felt like I had to take a shower after the survivor matches... so many killers sweating and trying their hardest to earn a $5 Starbucks gift card. Had to call it early cause it just seemed like only Blights were on, along with the occasional Skull Merchant who camped their 3 gen right from the beginning.

  • @Deathstroke said:

For me it's bit better playing survivor. Matches usually last decent amount of time and most killers don't tunnel and some even farm and let you escape. But there are few tunnelers but I don't blame then because swf:s are out of control.

When I play killer I get P400 squads who gen rush at the pace I never seen before. I think survivors should be hugely nerfed if they play swf for compesation also strongest killers should be nerfed hugely. SoloQ is fine but I rarely get to face them as game thinks im OP killer. But I usually play m1 killers and play on console so idk why. I have had to tunnel lot more too killer just sucks to play now.

Here's a hot take for ya, bud: stop sweating your nuts off on killer and you'll get more chill survivors to go against. You do NOT have to tunnel. If you tunnel / slug / camp, don't be surprised when gens go ding ding.

no it cant believe me i tried it they patched it so now its stuck at 60 .... it used to be its why i say this unfortunately or sadly smh

I play at 120 fps. They changed the folder recently a couple patches ago. Utilize the search function.

  • I want the blue hat headpiece for Nea to come back. Also the purple Gambler shirt for Ace, pretty please!

  • @Zokenay said:

SM has no real chase power beyond that, besides making herself undetectable inside her drones or addon buffs.

And for starters, youre dealing with 4 survivors, even one taking a bit longer to catch can greatly hinder your chances of winning the match, if not outright lose you the match.

And the most important fact, hitboxes, Survivors have a smaller hitbox than the killer, which makes them able to run around loop tighter than the killer, which means that a haste buff is quite significant for them.

Besides, MFT can be paired with other perks, most notably, Resilience which makes vaults fasters, making the chases way stronger for them, then we can also add other Haste effects, such has Hope or Blood Pact, and the survivors is essentially impossible to catch.

Made for This is just a horribly designed perk that punishes M1 killers greatly, and 110% even more, specially Trickster.

    Oh no, not TRICKSTER!

I will continue to use Made for This with a smile on my face.

    Well another killer into oblivion

Oh please. Are EMPs annoying? Yes. Does Singularity need some tweaks? Yes. Is Singularity fun? Also yes. If you don't like how Singularity is currently, no one is forcing you to play as him.

  • Remove Bloodlust first, then we can talk about Made For This.

  • Remove Bloodlust and then maybe we can talk about a rework for Made for This.

Otherwise, sorry but git gud. Killers in 2023 are so much more whiny than they were back in 2020/2021, back when old meta (DS / Unbreakable / Dead Hard / Iron Will) was alive and well. At this rate, killers in 2023 want survivors to spawn in on hooks/death hook already so they can faceroll their keyboard and get an easy 4k win every match. Isn't that right?

  • I'm pretty happy with the new chapter. Always been a big fan of sci-fi. The Single Lady, I mean Singularity, is difficult and his power feels clunky (for me, at least).

Love the new map. Fun as survivor, kind of a pain on killer. Love the small details (millipedes running across the floor, the reptile birds flying in the sky, all the flora).

Made for This is a new staple in my build currently at the moment, having a blast with it.

EMPs do need to be adjusted, though.

  • @Orthane said:

How is that fair? Side blinds should not be a thing, oh 1 single pixel was open on the far right side of my eye while all I can see is a wall, and the survivor isn't even on my screen but I guess that counts as a blind, fun.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, the survivor just happened to get lucky with the beam angle. Stop trying to take away the fun from survivors, that's why this game continues to get worse...

  • My looting build is much meta.

Well, with Iron Will - but that's 'cause I like going for stupid plays that make me laugh when they work out.

  • I like Death Throes Compilation.

I don't know why everyone shits on it. It's quite powerful if you know how to aim and land your knives consistently.

It's an addon that is high-risk, high reward.

If you're confident with your knives, you'll do fine. If not, maybe pass on using this specific addon.

Iridiscent Photocard is worse than Death Throes Compilation, can't change my mind.

  • Adept Trickster is super frustrating.

It's truly a numbers game though. Don't give up!

You're gonna find that one squad that doesn't like to do gens and just wants to go for flashlight saves.

Max out your points in each category to increase your chances of getting adept.

It sucks now when you don't have the achievement, but you're gonna be stoked when you get it!

    Good luck to ya, friend.

  • If Premonition is swapped out for Spine Chill, I'd recommend pairing Spine Chill with Sprint Burst.

Off the Record synergizes with Object of Obsession, if that tickles your fancy.

Inner Strength with Detective's Hunch, know where all the totems are. Maybe throw on Ace in the Hole or Appraisal for chest looting too?

  • @TwinnedHawks8772 said:

Gen speeds are honestly fine as they are, just not when brought with 4 bnp prove thyself and built to lasts. It's like saying that huntress is op because she has iri head and infantry belt. It's not the base strength, it's the amount it can be buffed.

I honestly believe bnp should be removed or at least consume the entire toolbox, so that 4 survivors can't do a gen in 5 seconds with bnp, or even worse: 4 survivors can do 4 gens in less than 40 seconds. That's 3 gens done consistently in the first minute of a match, even if all the survivors spawn far from generators.

    https://youtu.be/wV-0pZVfXHI?t=16

Watch this clip and cry about BNPs as they are now.

  • Survivor: Nea, she's got the best cosmetics and she has an extensive collection of items (sitting on 500+ purple beamers acquired through loot goblin build the last few months). I like her backstory as well.

Killer: Huntress, nothing more satisfying than landing nutty shots. Sometimes Billy, Nurse, and Blight.

  • The game was fun up to patch 4.5.0.

Movement is crap. HUD did not need to be changed. Desync needs to be fixed ASAP. Emblem system is completely broken for survivor.

The community has been asking for bugs to be fixed, not these stiff robotic-looking animations and mobile-looking HUD that we were given.

Please BHVR, I used to look forward to playing your game every day, but now... ugh.

  • Nice bait, mate.

The dev team could've easily kept the previous UI's layout and added a small hook counter beneath the portraits... but no, they want to push the portraits to look way too similar to a Discord call and make our eyes dart all over the place.

    Stop being a troll.

  • I'd rather go against Undying Ruin as it was with classic movement and UI over the crap they've forced out onto us with Undying being nerfed. Please throw the switch. Would never ######### about Undying Ruin if I get to keep the smooth movement and convenient UI.

  • I love using Plunderer's / Appraisal / Ace in the Hole, but do I use it to get keys? Hell no.

I'm going for purple beamers. If I happen to get a key, I'll leave it somewhere in a memorable spot.

I will only opt to use it if the game's basically over or if I didn't get a precious purple beamer.

Up the RNG for more flashlights and less keys please. I just want to add more beamers to my collection. :(

  • The only exhaustion perk I run consistently is Adrenaline.

I used to run exhaustion perks, such as Sprint Burst / Lithe, until I got Dead Hard.

Used to rely on those to get me out of sticky situations.

I don't run them anymore because it's more rewarding when I can loop a killer without relying on exhaustion perks.

Not only that, but killer add-ons that give exhaustion are rendered useless.

  • Kate.

She's my first and only P3 survivor at the moment, has 300 gateaus, and her Midnight Rider outfit is *chef's kiss*.

I also like Dwight and Ace.

  • Bubba and Myers.

Would prefer to see them over Spirit and pphead.

  • @Hopesfall said:

i love Demo but I only use 2 add ons and it's a shame.. mew's guts and black heart.. everything else is a big meh. I also love how Surge is in direct conflict with how you're supposed to use demo.. use shred to down people, but Surge won't proc lol.

They need to do something about "undetectable" on him though, it's pretty f'ing useless when you can hear his footsteps across the map

Rat Liver is 100% needed on demo, they should add it to his basekit tbh.

  • I see nothing wrong with this, but at the same time - it forces you to truly rely on the perks that specific killer brings to the game.

Easy enough to know you get the adept achievement for survivor since you need to escape.

As for killer, max out your categories and get at least 9-10 hooks to guarantee Merciless Killer.

  • Spirit and pphead.

Infectious Fright Billy and Oni are both very annoying too.

And since I'm adding on more, Silent Bing Bong.

  • No.

I know lots of players who will quit DBD if proximity voice chat / in-game voice chat is ever introduced to the game.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Devs confirmed on twitter there were some pretty big issues with close-range huntress and plague, and with nurse existing.

I had no issues with nurse, both before and during hit validation.

  • Okay, I understand that Predator is a useless perk... but it's one of Wraith's teachable perks.

This tome is centered around Hag and Wraith for killers, Ace and Meg for survivors.

God forbid you have to take one of your meta perks off for one game.

  • BHVR has stated this'll never happen, sorry.

  • I felt the MMR system was fine. On the killers I played a ton before MMR was released (Ghostface and Deathslinger), I got paired with red ranks. And even though I play all the killers, I actually went up against babies on killers who I previously didn't put much time into like Trapper.

  • @Rivyn said:

Either it's a daily requiring me to kill somebody 'with my own hand,' a TTV, a SWF I recognize, or a key.

I can understand your reasons, but TTV? Really?

Yeah, there's typical TTV streamers who are annoying and want attention - but don't do it strictly on that premise. If the TTV survivor is playing normally, just leave them be. Don't be a dick to 'em.

  • I have 1100 hours in the game, I still get scared.

Yeah, I can loop the killer for awhile. I can commit to a gen as the killer gets closer.

Does it remove the fear of getting caught? No.

Hag's traps will always get me 'cause of the damn jump scare + forced camera pull.

    Sometimes Trapper's traps too.

  • For survivor, Kate. I prestiged her just in time for the 4th Anniversary, so I'll never have to worry about losing those items. Plus, lots of gateaus! Still sitting on 300 of them.

For killer, Deathslinger. Though there's no point to prestige, it's just nice to see the P3 icon and know that I can burn bloodpoints and never worry about losing my perks/offerings/items ever again.

Currently on the journey of p3'ing all my killers and then eventually the survivors!

  • Otzdarva for educational gameplay and big brain plays, Vinc3ntvega for his entertainment, PolySypher for his gameplay (Drift King Billy and Slam Jam Oni always got me dancing and laughing), OhTofu for his community and wholesomeness. Bronx too 'cause Demo main. Zubat on the rare chance I'm able to catch him 'cause his emotes do be the best and he's damn good without giving a #########.

As for smaller streamers, SquidSav4ge and Paids are both fantastic for their personalities and their communities as well.

  • MacMillan maps are nice, very aesthetically pleasing. Coldwind Farm isn't too bad, excluding Rotten Fields. I really like Midwich, despite everyone saying it's a garbage map. Autohaven is also one of my favorites, apart from Gas Heaven and Blood Lodge.

I hate Ormond, Yamaoka, and the Swamps (despite doing well on them).

I’m happy with his base kit. Ppl think shred sucks, but that’s because it isn’t used correctly most of the time. I’m fine with survivors underestimating it 😃

I thoroughly enjoy shredding pallet campers who aren't fast enough to react. So satisfying and punishing!

  • I didn't have a problem doing the challenges, I saw no toxicity even when other survivors were doing the same challenges (Search 6 Chests).

Load into the lobby, asked "coins anyone?" and people were very sweet and either put up tarnished coins or shiny coins.

Made it very easy to search through the chests because of their generosity.

If it's not required to be done in a single trial, quit stressing over it.

You guys act like you're having to go out of your way to do optional challenges, that are in no way required for you to do might I add...

Seriously. If you don't like the challenges, don't do them.

    It's that simple.

  • Any squad could do that.

Now if they were all running Calm Spirit with killer as the Doctor, all running Spine Chill for stealth killer, basically builds that can hard counter specific killers - then I'd suspect program usage.

    But medkits? Really? Come on.

I do the same thing when on survivor (solo queue and SWF) with my flashlights and medkits 'cause screw Franklin's.

They never specifically changed the achievements actually, the definition of what was considered a "Merciless Killer" match changed when the emblems were introduced to replace to former pip-determining system.

As someone who has all of the current Adept Achievements (mostly earned AFTER the change to emblems), I'd honestly be fine if they adjusted the Merciless Victory back towards its classic standard (4 sacrifices in one match). Some killers have inherent problems with earning emblems (like Plague) which makes them generally harder to "Adept", even if they have a solid set of personal perks.

Survivors only have to escape, so swapping killers back to only needing a 4k (with sacrifices, not kills) would probably be a welcome change for plenty of players. Using sacrifices instead of emblems would also give players a more concrete picture of how close to their goal (these achievements) they are in a match.

I earned all of the Adept Killer achievements after it was already changed, and while I found it quite annoying to get Ruthless Killer at the end of some matches where I should've rightfully had Merciless Killer... The feeling of accomplishing the achievement was real when I see Merciless Killer after the match.

I do think it is kind of dumb that survivors just have to survive and escape, whereas killer has to draw out the game as long as possible in order to get Merciless Killer. And then get cucked by something like a hatch escape.

  • Killer: I play most killers, but I find myself always going back to Deathslinger and Ghostface. Deathslinger 'cause gun go bang, Ghostface when I'm feeling sneaky and want to catch survivors off-guard. Doctor is fun too for when I'm feeling lazy on tracking and want to always make sure I know where survivors are at all times.

Survivor: Kate 'cause I love her Midnight Rider outfit, and she's my first and only P3 survivor at the moment. Gonna start maining Dwight and Ace though as well because nice cosmetics and I'm pretty lucky in games with them!
