Probably a bot mode against a bot Killer would greatly help the situation.

Hey guys! I know we're all excited for this years Christmas event! I am especially excited because this will be the first one for me! I first played DBD back in 2022 but because of my husband's friend, I chose not to play the game ever again. He ruined the game for me. But I heard Nicolas Cage was coming to the game, got excited and started playing! I didn't play when he came out, it took a few months after his DLC was released. But since I purchased his DLC in January 2024, I have been playing as often as possible and prestiging him to p100 (currently at p43). Thus, this is my first Christmas event! I was so happy that Nicolas Cage got a Blighted Halloween Skin this year! But so sad to see he didn't get an Ugly Sweater. I don't know if it was a licensing/permission issue or what.. so I emailed BHVR. Jeff, one of the team members, sent me a link to discuss this topic on the official DBD Forums! Jeff said he appreciated my appreciation for Nic Cage in DBD (I truly love that man in and out of the game). I want to know if anyone else would love to see Nic Cage in an Ugly Christmas Sweater. Let me know how you feel about it <3 (Sorry for the long post, I am very passionate about this, haha)
Unequivocally yes. Every single Survivor needs a Christmas sweater. Mr. Cage included.

i personally believe that dead by daylight has seen some pretty positive changes this year and has a good setup for better performance in 2025. while there were some questionable changes, it did not deter me from enjoying the game any more than i already did.
i am a player who has played this game since late 2017 and actively play both sides, as well as engage in both competitive and casual settings. i would consider myself to be an above average player and have a more technical and strategic approach to the game. currently, i am more of a killer player than i am survivor, however i have enough time with both sides to understand things in-depth.
GAMEPLAY
BHVR has shown a much higher attention to detail to the flow of gameplay as well as a willingness to provide new ways for players to play the game. maps, perks, and killer powers now seem to be more generalized yet unique to their identity, which opens up the possibility for all sorts of different combinations and playstyles. the game incentivizes the usage of strategies and awareness of events as you play, which is fantastic!
additionally, both the killer and survivor experience has been tailored to cater to different skill levels and methods of thinking. it actually has made for an interesting playing field, since there's now a lot more variability in how a match can be played without having to strictly stick to a predefined blueprint. to me, both sides don't feel like they're overpowering each other at base.
towards the beginning of the year, i initially felt as if the gameplay was being changed to lean heavily on a player having to be ABSOLUTELY on top of everything since the core of dead by daylight is time management. however, my perspective on this has changed with the new QOL features introduced that equally benefits both a casual and more competitive player. i'd argue that the game feels much more accessible to newer players as well since they're given a reason to experiment and learn about things!however, i do believe there are some negatives to this approach.new or intermediate players still do not have a clear starting point on how to actually PLAY the game since there's no actual definition beyond "complete your objective" (kill survivors, escape the match). this is incentivizing players to resort to tactics that consistently allows them to achieve their goal easier rather than experimenting and interacting with the different mechanics that the developers introduce.
on top of that, there's difficulty in on-boarding a new player because of the amount of information that has to be digested in a short amount of time. in a live match, this can especially make a newer or more casual player's experience painful if they're by themselves (often referred to as the 'solo Q experience' by the community as well, since this is especially prominent when playing in an uncoordinated or inexperienced team).while loading tips and information blurbs can help, they only address a small aspect of the game. it does not go over the nuances of different strategies or explains why the player needs to make certain decisions, like why they should be mindful of the direction of a killer's red stain at tiles, or why they should be aware of how long they're chasing someone, or why they should be careful about which generators they complete.
because dead by daylight has so many different variables, i believe BHVR should take more time to focus on helping players understand what the game actually is. this could also aid in balancing and reduce the amount of changes necessary, since you can also get a more accurate picture of the performance of mechanics if people are aware of what they're meant for and what to do in some scenarios.
QUALITY
dead by daylight's quality, in terms of assets and immersion, has been outstanding. i have enjoyed the different artistic and creative expressions through the mediums (audio, modeling, environmental work, technical design, etc), introductions of the new and reworks of old and outdated content, as well as the storytelling and world-building that is being done. it's very clear that dead by daylight is still a project of love despite some ups and downs. it's also clear that there are some very talented people on the team who enjoyed putting a bit of themselves into their work. each part of the game is carefully crafted to represent those who have worked on that piece of the puzzle and gives dead by daylight the essence it needs as a universe.
(and yes! this even applies to sable and skull merchant. despite how seemingly lackluster these two characters are, they still have an identity that is worthy of exploring just like any other asset of the game.)
as an artist and a technical person who loves to develop, innovate, and engage with the things i come across, it was fantastic to see this game grow to be what it is today. there's a level of detail that tends to go unnoticed that the development team deserves credit for.
in reference to the actual gameplay, the game feels significantly more solid.
FINANCIAL HEALTH, PRIORITY, AND ITS IMPACT
with that being said, it is also noticeable when the business behind the game supersedes the passion of the developer team and oversight of the game's health. in BHVR's defense, money is necessary in order to even function. people also have lives and things they wish to see, so profitability naturally will be brought into question whenever a project for the game is started.
micro-transactions and sales are a common aspect in most live-service games, both as a profit-making tool as well as a way to promote support for the game. this is perfectly fine, so long as there is a balance between the corporation and the consumer. there are currently a few running examples in which the game's quality has been effected by layoffs, focus shifting (to funding and profits or lack thereof), and marketing tactics. this is noted in the pricing of certain cosmetics, DLC advertisements and releases, and traits of gameplay (bug fixes, accessibility to perks, addressing issues and allocating the necessary resources in a timely manner).
while i do not pretend to know how much BHVR gains or loses quarterly, nor am i familiar with the company's culture, it is distinct when an internal decision or change is made that impacts the health of the game. sometimes chapters, paragraphs, patches and hotfixes, and community events feel rushed or unfinished. other times, we would see unusual pricing for cosmetics or licenses that don't exactly feel consistent with what is regular to us as a playerbase.
the largest example of inconsistency in focus is the community's emphasis on the presence of cheaters. while cheating can never be 100% prevented (if it's man-made, it can be hacked!), it has been noted that dead by daylight does suffer from a lack of priority (or communication of priority) for things that are prominent. some issues are able to be addressed quicker than others, and rightfully they should be if they can be gotten out of the way. however, it doesn't feel as if BHVR is as responsive to major problems like this and that, at times, there's more of an emphasis on what can quickly overshadow the problem.
whether this is done to buy more time in preparation of a solution or not, i have no clue. as i am not a developer or a team member, i cannot confidently propose a solution to this problem either. this is merely just an observation.COMMUNICATION
something i am quite satisfied with in spite of that, however, is how much more communicative the developers have been as of late. while they cannot say everything, they definitely do provide information that is asked of them to incite and contribute to discussions or probe for feedback. this was a significant step up from how things used to be and it's clear that they are listening! the community managers at BHVR have done a wonderful job at providing context to scenarios and helping to establish a connection with the playerbase. it's not too often that you see a team be willing to talk to their clients (especially with a community that can be very opinionated at times).
sometimes, there is a bit of a disconnect in what is being discussed or asked of the team—for better or for worse—. but this is to be expected since… well, they have things to do! XD
additionally, developers don't always share the same vision as the player since this is a project they're actively working with daily and will see the game from a much different perspective, which is what i think a lot of the community tends to forget. how this is to be addressed is beyond my power. overall, i don't have much else to really say about this. it could be better, but it's not like it's a ghost town and they're not paying attention. they most definitely are.CONCLUSION
i think, for what its worth, dead by daylight is set to be what i consider one of the most interesting tales of game development i've ever witnessed in my lifetime, and i think it will become much more successful next year with the right amount of dedication and adjustments. after 7-8 years of non-stop work, the game is finding its place on solid ground and can only expand from here. i'm very curious to see how else BHVR will choose to expand upon it moving forward. sometimes i find myself wishing i could contribute to such a fantastic story in the making haha
Your Quality section perfectly explains how I feel. 💐
It was a wonderful write-up and I’m glad I’m not the only one who understands that Dbd is one of the greatest game/horror experiences of a lifetime.

To preface this: I very very rarely play survivor. Im mostly a killer main and have like 90% of my hours on killer.
Today I decided to do some challenges from the archives for survivor and the experience has just been absolutely miserable.
First of all the killers I got were some prestige 100 nurse and blights 8 games in a row, which I already find very weird since I would assume that my survivor MMR is super low since I almost never play survivor and if I do I rarely get out cause I'm not very good. So I would think that I shouldn't go up against prestige 100 S-Tier killers with 6k hours in the game but apparently MMR thinks otherwise.
What I found even more annoying was that 7 out of those 8 killers played the same strat, which is just down everyone, slug them, wait out unbreakables if they even exist and then let everyone bleed out for the rest of the match refusing to hook anyone. I mean my team would have lost anyways since when I checked their profiles most of them were players with like 100-500 hours vs 6k hours killer players. Noone lasted in chases longer than 20 seconds.
Both those things combined, the wonky mmr system and then losing one chase and literally not being able to do anything for 4 minutes just makes for such a miserable experience. No fun to be found.
At this point those killers are honestly just asking the Devs to make unbreakable basekit imO
It’s funny. As a Killer main I actually do want Survivors to have base-kit Unbreakable.

I can’t wait to see more twisted ideas in the Bloodmoon collection. I loved the vibe that last year’s trailer set with Lacrimosa as the music. It’s so eerie and romantically sadistic; scary and surreal 🩸😵🩸

I just wanted to share with you what a "crowd" killer would have looked in the game. Since crowded places can be quiet uncomfortable and exhausting, making some people even deeply fearing it. I am no game dev so the number maybe lacking or unbalanced but it gives an overall look of what it should feel.
Power: Crowded Place8 ”fake survivors” are spawned in the trial. They look like the 4 survivor players. Those fake survivors roam the map, fake doing gens, totems, chests, ….
After sometimes, fake survivor disappear and spawn in another place.
#Notes fake survivors do not have hitboxes and the game tries to spawn them out of sight from suvivors.Power: Embodiment
The killer embodies an “fake survivor” at the start of the game. When the killer is in “survivor” form he does not have a terror radius but can still be shown by auras.
Pressing the ability power button teleports you to the selected “fake survivor”.
When entering a chase, you reveal your true appearance and you terror radius starts.
#Notes Survivors have a “babbling crowd” sound when the killer teleport to a fake survivor.
Few addons idea: Remove the “babbling crowd” sound / Iri: When a fake survivor sees a survivor within 12 meters, it rushes to him. / "fake survivor" with no survivor within 48 meters will respawn closer to survivors
Killer Perks
Rush Hour
- After using your ability power, you gain the exhausted status for 15 seconds.
#Exhausted for killer: This status prevents you from using your ability power and blocks it from charging.
- You gain a 3% haste bonus for 3 seconds.
- After the hast effect, this perk deactivates for 30 seconds.
When you hit a survivor, this perk is shown for the rest of the trial to the survivor hit. (like dying light or thana's red icon)
#Notes This perk does not activate if, for example, you press the ability power and immediately cancel it. You need to: Trapper → set a trap. Pyramid head → use punishment of the damned. Spirit → When exiting phase-walk.
#Notes2 This is meant to boost killer with no chasing power or mobility. Killers with chase power will gain this bonus while they suffer from some exhaust mechanic of their power. Making it worthless for most of them like Nurse, Blight or Mastermind.
Enochlophobia
- When survivors are within 8 meters of one another, they become blind, oblivious and incapacitated for 8 seconds.
Hex: Anxiety
When a survivor is outside of the terror radius, this perk activates.
- An “illusionary killer” will spawn out of sight and roam near the affected survivor for a brief amount of time.
- If the “illusionary killer” has line of sight on the survivor, the illusion will run towards the survivor. “Illusionary killer” cannot be seen by the killer or by other survivors.
Affected survivors will randomly hear the terror radius for a brief moment.
And some survivor perks :
Investments
- When you deplete an item, the closest totem is revealed to you for 8 seconds.
- Cleansing a dull totem will replenish you item by 16 charges.
- Cleansing a hex totem will replenish you item by 32 charges.
Crypto Mining
- When you are working on a 50% repaired generator or more. Others survivors will have a bonus action speed for unhooking, healing, cleaning, blessing and opening chest.
Emergency Meeting
“Emergency Meeting” activates when a survivor is in the dying state.
Whenever an other survivor is in the dying state,
- You see the aura of other survivors.
- And you see the killer’s aura when the killer is within 12 meters of the dying survivor.
If you are the dying survivor:
- The auras of all survivors are revealed to each other.
- And your team sees the killer aura when the killer is within 12 meters of you.
I love this idea. Anything that is a swarm Killer sounds so fun.

What are some of your favorite builds? Meta or not tell me your builds and the characters you use them on (add-ons optional).
I have two builds for the Plague that I love running.
The first is: Batteries Included, Thanatophobia, Fire Up, Hex Noed.
I got the idea when going from fountain to fountain felt like I was doing some giant pentagram ritual spell. That led to my fascination with the concept of the Plague as one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I wanted to translate the idea of things getting worse for the Survivors as time went on. So in this way as Survivors get infected, as generators complete Plague gets stronger and Survivors get weaker. Even once the gates are complete Noed becomes this final piece that transforms the trial into a final apocalyptic setting. Bonus points if it’s egc and the Survivors are brave enough to cleanse the totem.
And for when I feel evil: Infectious Fright, Dark Devotion, Unforseen, Hysteria

I love running no perks or addons for a few games from time to time. It helps me keep my core killer skills up to par without relying on perks to do the heavy lifting for me. Yes, I will lose some games that I could have won with 4 slowdown, but going in with the intention to practice my skills rather than win 100% of the time feels great. Plus is 7 or 8 hook states really a loss?
100%
It’s so fun getting a real feel for the essence of a Killer playing this way.
How do you like using the addons that are detrimental to your power like padded jaws etc.? They’re my guilty pleasure.

alot has happened over the years with the community itself especially both sides of killlers and survivors. The game is more survivor sided for sure but also it depends on the type of killer that makes survivors go against which makes situations killer sided. Also think about map layouts which can be really bad for killer that makes survivor have the advantage. Also the perks on each side when there’s a thing called meta and both sides want a nerf just because it is getting used too often but reality the whole community use the same perks and tried to deny that they don’t when they do. The community is very hypocritical and also I want to blame content creators as far as pc content creators. They have a way of playing the new chapters for the ptb before live releases and the perks and killer powers sometimes either get buffed or nerfed to the ground way before console players be able to have the chance to test it out. But yes content creators do help the community when they notice a lot going on but at the same time it’s not fair at all for how toxic and hypocritical the community is. Also I want to point out there’s certain things you can’t do on console as much as you do on pc like the movements and how easily it can be on pc but not console gamers.
Players get used to something and have difficulty when it is changed.

This is a fun little discussion that I'd like to propose here.
It isn't uncommon for us to discuss things we wish had never been changed, like BBQ and WGLF. Or things that we wish would return to the game, with the best example being Old Freddy. Generally speaking there are a lot of things from the Old DBD we wish were still around.
But what about the opposite?
This is a question I think has never been asked. So imagine that I, GeneralV, have my way and suddenly we're reverting this game back to the Old DBD. Everyone has to return, there is no other option, but you're allowed to bring something from the modern DBD back to the old game.
What would you choose? One specific perk? One character? The add-ons would be included if said character is a killer, of course.
A modern event that you enjoyed, perhaps? A new map?
You can choose anything, but no more than one.
I would bring Garden of Joy back to the past.

Hello, solo survivor main here with nearly 2000 hrs-ish ! So, before we start, please be aware this is NOT a "killers are so op nerf them all" post. I think killers need to be stronger than survivors, and this is not a post crying about how unfair or how unbalanced they or the game is or whatever. It's a genuine question, because I feel like I've hit a wall, or fallen into a very deep, deep pit and my fingers are bleeding but I'm still not out. I don't blame the killers, they are better than I am and they deserve their wins, but It feels like I didn't have a chance most of the time.
I've been tracking my games just from the past 3 days or so, and I have won 11, and I have lost 35. So thats like a 25% winrate.
The killers I am playing against are clearly better than I am, their skills far surpass my own and its felt that way consistently for awhile. It's becoming very difficult to feel like I am improving at all when the losses far exceed the wins, when simple challenges take over 10 matches or so to complete etc. I don't know if I hit a soft cap or something but If so I wonder how I got there at all because my survival rates have never been very good. But simply put this feels like something is off. I know prestiege doesn't necessarily mean alot, but it does feel very disheartening when you're in a lobby with 2 p100 survivors, 1 p100 killer when you yourself don't even have a single p100, and you died with only 8,000 points. I feel like I truly don't belong where I'm at.
All that being said, does anyone know at what point the MMR will adjust or how many losses it takes to pit you easier opponents/teammates?
It is Wednesday, I am not wearing pink, but somehow I am sat at this table. 🙇♀️
So for me as Survivor I figured that I was able to survive without being good at chase. It worked for a bit but after a while I couldn’t do well in chase.
So instead I ignored escaping completely and just focused on chase. I would still help with gens but I would always try and rescue everyone and then give the Killer the kill by having one last chase as the egc timer ran out. Everyone wins in that scenario provided that experience is what I am gaining of value instead of escaping.
And it actually worked. I started with Killer shack and then started some of the common loops that others have mentioned to me on here. The Killer difficulty curve became significantly more gentle as long as I adhered to these rules.

Negativity aside, I know she has plenty of issues, but I really like her design. The music's also not so bad. I think with the right changes, she could be a very fun killer to play.

I have a few questions for you to start the ball rolling.
What do you like about the Houndmaster? It could be anything from clothes, to her pet dog named Snug, her weapon, anything.
What could be improved? E.g. power, bugfixes, etc.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
Her recolors and other cosmetics are insane! I love that she is so militaristically precise in her movements, I mean she’s the Houndmaster right? It’s very very good.
Story wise, I think her Deadly Cane description that says her desire for revenge went unfulfilled is terrifying!!! Like, that means that she will never ever ever rest. Like a perpetual machine that is self-fueled by revenge! It’s just so scary when you add it all together, the discipline, the endless drive, the inevitability… it’s horrifyingly overwhelming.
Then there’s Snug. I love everything about Snug. Bhvr somehow threaded the impossible needle of making Snug cute while at the same time genuinely frightening. All I can think of is “hellhound” whenever I see Snug or the poodle. The Legendary skin’s menu animation conveys tense feelings remarkably well.
I’m extremely happy with the Houndmaster 🐕🦺💀

The Yun-Jin and Yui cosmetics are amazing as well - every cosmetic looks so amazing and fits the vibe. I'm also a huge anime fan and was really exited when the developers announced the AoT collaboration two years ago and now another anime collaboration is so good. Gives me hope that more anime collaborations will follow.

I think my two top survivors to add would be Elvira and Buffy. I feel a tad bit more hope about Elvira after seeing her appearance in the Killer Clowns game. And Buffy really is the ultimate survivor. I think it would also be cool if we could get some legendary skins for her that are other Buffy characters--Willow, Giles, Xander etc.
My top killer to add would be Pumpkinhead. I know it's not the most well known of the horror franchises, but he fits perfectly into DBD. My other killer to add would be Blade from the puppet master movies. He's much smaller than Chucky and the idea of a reverse My Little Oni would be pretty hilarious.
My least likely to be added killer would be Dark Willow from Buffy. I think her look and powers would also work well in DBD. She's one of my favorite kick ass characters.
Great choices. I’d love to play as Joyce Byers from Stranger Things.

I guess that would be fine, but I still believe you're never gonna be able to carry the uncarryable, no matter how many buffs you give them. There's a breed of survivor who just run the edges of the map, hide, heal, and never do a gen after the first one. You can't help them.
It’s astounding how much free time a Killer receives when no gens are being done.

Old Freddy might as well of been a different killer, he didnt have Snares, Pallets, or even his Teleport.
Freddy could not harm awake Survivors, and was invisible to them as well. Survivors could tell when he was near since his lullaby would play, but it wasnt directional and couldnt be deciphered through distance.
He needed to manually tag a Survivor with sleepiness to pull them into the Dream World which took 7 seconds by default. During said transition he would be briefly visible similar to Sadako when she Manifests.
Once a Survivor was asleep Freddy could harm Survivors, their aura would be revealed to him if they were outside outside his Terror Raidus (which was 24m) and they would suffer a 50% action speed penalty.
The only way to escape the Dream World was through failing a skill check, or another Survivor waking them up. Alarm Clocks did not exist.
Might of missed something but thats most of it, @GeneralV could probably fill in the gaps if there is any

Well, I can help!
Old Freddy was completely different from the current Freddy, and in fact he was completely different from every other killer we've ever had. No character comes close to how he worked.
So, originally, there was no passive sleep. Every survivor started the trial awake, like what we currently have, but awake survivors could not interact with Freddy. They could be pulled off lockers, but that was it. They couldn't be attacked by Freddy and, mostly importantly, they could not see him nor his aura, even with perks like Dark Sense or Object of Obsession. Awake survivors could only tell Freddy was near them by paying attention to his lullaby, which wasn't and still isn't directional.
Once a survivor was manually tagged by Freddy's power, they would begin to fall asleep. That process was called the Dream Transition, and by default it took 7 seconds. During the Dream Transition, survivors could see glimpses of Freddy, similar to what Sadako currently has. This video can help you understand what I'm talking about:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQd087TtKMo&t=9s
After the Dream Transition was finished the survivor would be pulled into the Dream World. Now Freddy was free to attack them, but that wasn't the only thing that happened. Survivors in the Dream World would suffer from an action speed penalty of 50% by default, and, if they were outside of Freddy's terror radius (24 metres), their aura would be revealed to him.
In order to wake up survivors could fail a generator or healing skill check (sabotage skill checks wouldn't wake a survivor up) or they could be woken up by a teammate.
Alarm Clocks, Dream Pallets, Dream Snares and Dream Projection did not exist, all of them were added after his rework in July of 2019 (my worst day of playing DBD).
Edit: I forgot one small detail. A survivor that got healed from the dying state to the Injured state would automatically wake up.

I think that is everything, yes.
Unless we decide to discuss add-ons and strategies, then there is a lot more to talk about.
Woow how interesting. I’m going to take the time to dive into all the info. Thank you both! 🙏
Edit: Wooow okay so very different! Okay so why was he even changed in the first place?

Of course! I still believe the old DBD was, overall, a better game than the modern DBD. But that is just my opinion.
I don't dislike newer maps like Borgo (before the change, the red looked nice and I'll die on that hill) and Toba, but the themed exit gates, especially on Dead Dawg Saloon or Nostromo, just do not fit, imo. It makes sense for them to look out of place.
I know you’re right… but I just can’t let go of my theming 🙃

I'd like them all to look like the OG:

For me that would be perfect.
I remember those days. You’re in classic form GeneralV.
I’m torn. The old vibes were classic dbd but my hot take is that I love all the color in the new maps. I know it’s unpopular but it’s how I feel.
I escaped Toba a few weeks ago and I remember marveling at how the exit area looked in Toba. I wanted to discuss it here but I never got around to it.

I like it. Especially before the Realm Beyond ruined everything. Maps before the reworks were peak.
But I'll tell you a minor inconvenience regarding map design that I do not enjoy: the Exit Gates being made to "fit" the map's theme.
I don't think that should be done, because the Exit Gates don't exist in the memories from which the Entity created the maps, they should look out of place.
As much as I love themed “objects” like exit gates and hooks, you make a point that is hard to refute.
Despite it I still have to agree to disagree 😅 I love themed exit gates.

Borrowed Time and Unbreakable have always felt like game changers.

Well, for years I wanted Freddy to get his old power back. It was the very reason why I joined the Forums in the first place and it broke my heart when I learned it was not going to happen.
Now… I am not sure what they will do to my favorite killer this time.

His old kit had identity and uniqueness. I hope they bring the old kit with tweaks. Add Incapacitated status to the dream transition, keep his gen teleport, remove all the dream snare/pallet stuff, it’s totally just copies from other killers and adds nothing unique. If you want to keep one of them just make the dream pallets being added a passive that happens periodically and not an active thing. The manual putting survivors to sleep, unable to injure them till asleep, auras of asleep survivors outside a certain range and him being completely invisible to awake survivors was so unique and what we need back. His old kit had a solid core that only needed small tweaks.
Can someone please help me understand the differences between old Freddy and current Freddy?

I mean, I just think that good game design is balancing it for both sides…
If it had to favor one side, could you pick?

I am here to petition forgiveness for the disobedient Survivors in my trials who failed to obey me and my rules.
Sin #1: Felix did not go get his flashlight like I told him to. He had to be punished for being a bad boy.
Sin #2: Every Leon will look at me. The Leon that does not know he is mine will spend time with the Entity instead.
Sin #3: Slugged Survivors did not beg for the exit gate in a way that pleased me. I do not ask twice. They were left to think about their decisions.
To the future victims of my little game:
There is no repose for the faint hearted. Remember… I am the boss… of everything.

It’s less Killer sided than 1v4

Every match in 2v8 someone DCs max I've seen is two because they went down or I guess someone went down before the first gen went off and no its not their connection because I'm not seeing that red bar. Seriously if your going to DC during a game mode then don't play it and go back to normal matches.
At some point players have to take responsibility for their own actions. The DC penalty forces players into that responsibility. And I’m glad it does because loading into the match with the intent of having everything go your way just to DC when it doesn’t shows a deep misunderstanding of what Dbd is all about.
The match is never over until it’s over in Dbd. Anything can happen.

A map isn’t a guaranteed win though. I think it’s funny how no matter what offering it is or who brings it people assume ill intent. Even if a Billy brought Garden of Joy, I’m sure players would still get angry to see any map offering.
The backlash completely skips over and erases players who use them for non-competitive reasons.
