I'm not sure what your problems are or what never gets fixed that needs to?
"the lag, vaulting ,killers tracking everything we do even our HEALING."
Check the ping? Make sure it isn't red. There's always going to be some amount of lag, and if you have bad internet I don't think the dev's can help ya.
What's wrong with vaulting?
Killers can track everything... There are counters. Lockers, distortion. Bunch of perks to lose your tracks and/or faster. Inner strength hides your healing. etc. There are counters and playstyle choices to make.
I'm not entirely sure you seem to care about balance. But if you can make the video and show us, maybe that will help with some confusion.
So, if the nurse is not worse, you think she is the same or better? There's so many bugs on the PTB it's really hard to tell right now (for me).
Regardless, as of now, I don't see how the dev's are "more" killer sided. I don't see the "facts" to prove that statement.
-
What platform you on? I'm just wondering how they are able to message you...
And "harassment" is bannable.
Here is a link you can look at with the information : https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system
-
Oh that is true. You should be careful of people scamming you on those kind of websites. I've seen steam deals and humblebundle deals, I think the cheapest I've seen the game was $10.
Just be careful with using those steam key websites.
-
It does not currently exist. Nurses calling won't show you either.
You aren't actually like healing, yourself... If that makes sense... The action is cleansing the totem, and then going into a locker.
-
I feel like people just like making the same threads over and over, to talk about essentially the same things. Just... again.. *looks at this one..*
whistles
*slowly walks off..*
Ahem. But people like to complain, especially of any change, it happens. Just sit back let it run its course, I say. Nothing new.
-
I'm waiting for PTB to decide.
-
I felt that feature was more for the devs, they do keep track of stuff. I mean it'd be nice, but I feel like just being nice and saying it in chat is a good way too. I definitely see nothing wrong with the idea tho. I mean it definitely could be something to work towards or try to achieve type thing.. idk its interesting.
-
The thing with merciless is, you can't kill them too fast.... you basically have to play with your food..
It's based on an emblem system and you have to get certain amount of each to be able to double pip aka obtain merciless victory.
-
ROFL!
-
@Nutty_Professor To an extent pips are on you, but it is very much out of your control if everyone dc's and you don't even safety (aka lose a pip). I will never say that someone else aka Disconnecting, not participating in gameplay when you chose to, is in your control. It CAN be possible with a single disconnect to make pips work, but the point is that is not ALWAYS the case, and because it is not always the case, I view it as being a flawed system right now. Such as the times that If disconnecting forces the game to immediately end and you can't safety and therefore lose a pip, that does not seem right to me.
Basically, It should always be about you and your skill, and if its not always, then I view it as flawed. I think they very easily can fix certain things to make it more fair in those regards, but right now that is not the case. Like sure it works to an extent, I understand what you are saying. Just there are exceptions. And it's out of your hands nonetheless.
-
@ocafghanistan I was aware lol
I was gonna say tho, If you wanted to make a new perk called BRICK or something... lol
I'm just joking lol
-
peb·ble
/ˈpebəl/
noun
a small stone made smooth and round by the action of water or sand.
-
So, the current rank system isn't based on your own personal skill, and is determined by other factors you have zero control over, which sucks. Does someone decide they want to DC? Oh, well you now depipped. GG's. ( <- And that goes for survivors and killer) People decide to let their teammates die on first hook? Well you lose out on those points as well. Etc. And lets not forget the killer... you kill everyone TOO quickly, you lose out... lol.
Yeaaaa.....
Players that been here longer care less than new players. In most games rank means something. And rank, generally, is supposed to be about your skill and to some people that means something, whether or not there are "Rewards"... which the dev's said they will implement. So, more people will probably start caring that currently don't. -- And also people still try to get Rank 1 for the steam achievements etc.
Regardless of why you want to rank.. this, the lack of control, creates a great deal of tension in people. I believe the real issue is how the emblems work currently, once they fix that to be more in line with actual "skill" of a player, I feel like the tension will decrease, and you won't see people blaming others.... as much.... lol
-
Well, wouldn't they just toss it into the game without testing then? I mean, they've made alterations before. I don't know I still have hope, and I think the feedback would be key.
I mean I'd definitely value it.
It's also hard to hear the MAJORITY of players as well, like if it's so bad and known, you can't really ignore that lol. The optimistic side of me just says, stick around and see. And maybe they just need better ideas, like after every hit. /shrug
The nurse uprising will need you! (☉_☉) Hold out a little longer! lol
-
Well, they haven't put it into the game yet. Hopefully some nurse mains will stick around and give them feedback (especially if it is really god awful), and they may tweak it again for a better balance. From first hearing it, it seems like they are trying to fit the killers into the same sort of thing with cooldowns. But I don't personally know until I see/test it, I guess.
If it is really horrible, I do see them changing it though.
-
@Fallyn Holy crap, that is so cool! You did an amazing job! If you decide to cosplay huntress I hope you post the results too! You are very talented!
Thanks for sharing this!

I think a majority of people that I hear who underrate her just call her slow, and they don't like that. I mean hag isn't for everyone, but I know a LOT of people out there know how great she is as well. I think Monto just made a fun bodyblock video with her on Youtube which was awesome lol. And I know Cahlaflour, a fog whisperer on twitch, that's her favorite killer she loves to main (although she plays all of them too).
I think people just assume she's a camping killer and find someone place traps all around the hook and that's it etc. I mean I've seen her be amazing on maps, including haddonfield (blocking off the top level so people can't abuse their balanced landing etc.) You just got to be clever with your traps, and it's a blast. And you don't have to always place traps all over a map, either. If you do it in a certain "chase" area, you can still get devastating results. There's a lot of methods and tricks to learn and use with her. I've seen several different streamers use completely different play-styles, with amazing results. I definitely think she is top tier.
She has more potential than a lot of people realize, but I think this will change in the future. :)
-
@AlpayTr58 Ahhh. Okay. That makes sense. Yeah everyone that had deathgarden got the upgrade for bloodharvest. So, it's just Deathgarden bloodharvest now, I guess. lol.
Take care and you are welcome! Hope you enjoy it!
-
@AlpayTr58 Same thing. But it's listed as Deathgarden BloodHarvest, now, on steam or humblebundle etc. I think it was apart of their new update, like a re-branding of it, if you will. (They fixed the game up and stuff). I'm not sure where you see it as ONLY "Deathgarden", but it should be the same thing. If you are buying it from Steam you can always request a refund.
Steam will "issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours. Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it."
Just FYI.

LOL
Thanks for the laugh :)

Gaseous
- a plume of gas comes out of you and surrounds the nearby air, making nearby players hold their noses and point at you, while shaking their heads in disapproval. Wondering why you wasted a perk slot on something so toxic...
So toxxxxic.
-
Yeah, same as above. Out of those two, Resilience is better. Better to get used to the normal skill check zones now, and the practice will make you better in the long run in my opinion.

Thanks for the tips, its more frustrating than anything.
Yeah, completely understandable.
-
That is very unfortunate and I get how frustrating that is. What you can try to do next time, is after you pick it up again OR when you know he has franklins, jump into a locker. Let's say he hits you, you manage to get the item again. Jump into a locker before he hits you again, and it won't count as a hit, but a grab. And that way you won't lose the item to the ground. This gives you at least another option to work with.
Or if it's a killer like bubba or billy, their chainsaw and specials won't count either, so you could intentionally try to get hit with those instead... not that that's really better... in general you don't want to get hit, but if you are really worried about the item. Just saying.
Item's come and go, just take it as a learning experience, so chin up! :)

The new meta.... Just run straight.

I'm really good at Clown and Doc, was just hoping to watch other people play those killers.
Didn't know Edgar streamed, he's a cool guy
Otzdarva is a bro, never heard of Fungoose
Ah. Well if you want people that more consistently play those two in particular, I have no idea then.. Everyone I find usually just rotates through them. I'd probably check on youtube then. I know someone mentioned Monto, he has some nice builds and games to watch on youtube.
And ya they are a really nice bunch :) I enjoy learning from 'em. Nice, friendly communities too.

Maybe it would work, Chucky wouldn't be able to see jack #########, but survivors wouldn't be able to see him coming either. Kind of a messy free for all? Lol

They still look at threads by banned users from time to time and I don't think it's a perma ban given it goes Jail, Temp Ban, Perma Ban and I think they were only jailed recently.

Personally I think he'd work as a stealth killer (cause that's how he worked in the movies)
No idea what his power would be though, cause he'd certainly need something to make up for being Hag height
Yeah, his height alone would make him stealthy for sure, I'm sure he'd have some oblivious effects to him.

I feel like this is basically the main problem with the Chucky thing though. Not only that it was be very difficult to pull off, but even if they did, it would probably end up being "freaking hilarious" and not at all terrifying.
I mean, I think a lot of the things would be "funny", but also I personally could see myself scared with certain aspects done right. Like I definitely can picture him sneaking up on people, him being able to blend in with things maybe as well. Like I imagine him being pretty fast, he does have speed and I'm sure they'd add some "pitter-patter" in the feet sounds and that would be creepy. To hear that come up on you and fast. Like holy crap. I'd panick.
Someone mentioned pallets, and I was thinking he could probably run under/crawl/roll thru sorta thing, basically jump it like legion I'd imagine. HOWEVER, he is said to have 'proportional' strength, so he could get rid of a pallet like 'normal'. I know he usually uses knives, I've seen him with an axe.
He's kind of known for his trash-talk I suppose, so it'd also be interesting to hear random things. "We're friends to the end" "It's time to play".
I definitely see his height and speed, being scary factors. Like coming out of "nowhere" and stuff. It would definitely need to be done right, and I quite like how they did the demogorgon. So, I've got hope. I'd have to probably re-watch chucky to get better idea's but yea. Overall, I think it COULD be possible. BUT for sure a challenge.
I know people wanted to incorporate his human self, which I could see them going that route as well... like his extra ability being voodoo to control chucky or something... I mean there's that route too I guess. I was mostly thinking it'd be way more scary to just have to doll running around the map, personally. Altho, having the doll "lifeless" randomly around the place and you can "control it" at will. That'd also add a very big omg... Is it going to come to life and get me or am I safe? IS IT A GOOD DOLL?!!? Who knows?! lol ... anyways /end ramble.
-
Only if we get to hear, "I'm BATMAN!" in the lobbies.
-
@NMCKE lol. Good point.
No mither, baby! Let's go!!!!
-
Well. I'd disagree with the fact Chucky is impossible to add because of his size, I think his size would be fine, I think they would need to alter some things sure (some of which would be awesomely hilarious). I think there's several idea's and animations they can do to resolve things, and also new perks to help aid in things. But I guess there's no point to this thread anymore because the original poster got banned. And I didn't realize... woops.
-
I don't feel like it has to be a one or another thing. Like they will continue to create original characters. In fact I have a good feeling about the next DLC.... We shall see.
-
As long as Deathgarden is unlocked in your steam you get the mask, and I mean if the game is free on steam for the weekend or whatever, the mask will appear in your inventory in DBD as well. But yea the free mask is still on going, as long as you "own" the game. (In quotes because if its free you'll get it for that time period it is free. Kind of neat :) ) However, once the game is no longer free and you didn't purchase it (aka the game wont be in your steam inventory anymore), you lose the masks from in game on DBD, unless you purchased the game. Just FYI.
-
For Doctor I'd say edgaralanbrolive on twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/edgaralanbrolive
He has a skit "Doc's daily dose" that he does quite a bit. He doesn't exactly "main" him, but he does him play often for the 'skit'. It's pretty good.
Other's that are great teachers that will play all characters and you can actually vote for them too, are Otzdarva https://www.twitch.tv/otzdarva and FunGoose (https://www.twitch.tv/fungoose ) . Both are on twitch. But again they don't "main" any of them. However, they are very educational and I think you will enjoy them, if you are trying to learn which seems like you are. They also answer your questions as well, its super informative and I've learned a lot with both.
I don't know anyone that actually "main's" clown. Sorry.
-
Yeah, that too. If a survivor is acting "altruistic" they are considered SWF, when really you are probably just trying to get stacks for WGLF or something. LOL
@Mtom912 I respect that.
-
Well. The simplest, quickest answer is: They put a lot of effort into her, with putting her into the game, design etc. They would sooner change her/re-work her to better fit into the game, before just straight up removing her and trying to replace her completely.
Messing with her Line Of Sight seems to be the best way to deal with her. But that varies on the map and your current location. And also how many blinks she has (yay, omega blink).. It's always "fun" to juke the second blink only to realize there is a third one...as well. She's a killer that is, how do I say, very forgiving of killer's mistakes... You can make several mistakes and still get away with it.
Her stuns definitely are broken and need to be fixed, cause holy crap they be broken, yo.
And I definitely agree, there are other killers out there that can kill SWF's easily, if not better. I don't know why people only want to rely on Nurse, almost like a 'crutch' or something. /shrug
-
I thought on PS4 they can private message you or something instead?
I mean, PC you can close chat. I do it occasionally just to not deal with it and focus on playing the game. Although you can still get random steam invites, which is.. weird.
-
This is where I wish people could take a good hard look at themselves... and realize what they are doing/saying... maybe take a deep breathe before they start typing... Look at things from another person's perspective...It's just a game...
sigh
I like the to think the more experience people have, the less this happens.
Anyways, this is pretty much what I got too, when I did my Evil Incarnate Achievement. LOL
sigh
-
I think the biggest frustration is hitting struggle phase.
tap, tap, tap, tap, tap...
-
Does that mean Tony Hawk is going to be a killer then?

Generally, people feel entitled to win and to have each player play the way that they deem 'fair.'
If you took out egos and imaginary rulesets, we'd be seeing a 'gg' every game.
This. Good way to sum it up.
I think a lot of it comes with time too, or lack there of.
EDIT: Better phrasing is... They just are inexperienced.

Yeah maybe he could just grab the hook since it's low enough and hook them his self hook just lifts up, besides he's not that strong
yea, they could have the hooks sit low from the start. Hanging on a line if you will. Kind of like a fishing line and it brings itself up, If that makes sense. So he just stabs the survivor with the hook and the line goes up and the survivor hangs. Makes sense in my head atleast.. lol
-
I see it as their way to help pay and support themselves in order to make the changes we all want.
And I don't think they are prioritizing one over the other. I think they are working and trying to fix necessary things, but that's not always in the "open". They have different teams, working on different things. It'd be nice if they had time to keep us all informed and updated ALL the time. But them's the breaks at the moment. Maybe in the future they can be more clear, I don't know.
-
. Transporting the survivors when they're in the dying state
My thoughts is that he can grab their leg or something and drag them around lol (which would be freaking hilarious).
. Hooking the survivors
My thought is, you could change the hook. Maybe make a cage or something different? That or an extremely hilarious hook animation that throws them up there lmao.
. How saves work against him for example flashlight saves and pallet saves.
Those I imagine would be the same. Now flashlight blinds in general would most likely be harder and different angles. But as far as pickups and such they would be in the same position as other killers, in my view of it.
-
@Boss Yeah. I mean I do like it. But just trying to think of the balance.
-
@Boss But in that situation if a killer comes along, if I let go, then I get hit and lose progress? But if I stayed on it, I would just get grabbed and wouldn't get a chance to finish opening the door, (and also lose progress).
The ability to grab from the door makes it seem kinda unbalanced that way.
-
Bringing a toolbox is not going to get you banned.
Being in an SWF is also not going to get you banned.
Hopefully killers will be able to know soon in the end screen match whether or not they faced an actual SWF.
Understand that these killers are human and have emotions, they get upset and have rough games. Try not to take it personally, and try not to further incite rage from them. I would literally just ignore it, and if they keep making false reports I am sure they will actually be the ones to have to deal with those consequences.
Play by the rules, and you don't have to worry at all. If it's in game, aka items, perks, whatever. It is fair game. And that goes for killers too.
And bonus points for not DC'ing against a prayer bead spirit. Good for you for sticking it out!
