  • Because she has one of the most unique base kits, a lot of Killers are just variations of the same concept like Huntress, Plague, Trickster, Pyramidhead and Deathslinger (ranged attackers) or Hag, Trapper, Freddy (they set traps to close loops) etc and she while she is not as weak as people believe she is not easy-modo stomp-a-lot like Spirit or Freddy so when you get 3/4K you know you actually had to play well, it feels rewarding.

  • Myers is a bit different since he has changed and been rebooted a ton of times, if you go by the current canon (1978 then 2018 films while ignoring the rest) its plausible for him to get stunned by a pallet since he is not as durable or strong and he has no powers as in the other films, in those two most attacks stagger him and some do actually put him unconscious, except being shot by Loomis at the end of the first one and getting hit by a car most other wounds are superficial or non life threatening (some of them like the fingers being shot do HURT a lot tho).

  • The way DS is now the skill check should disappear and have a "Press active ability" button to escape during the pick up animation.

I'd like to tell you there is a secret move or a magic bullet. There isn't. The advice I'm going to give you is all correct in theory, but application of these tactics will still take you a lot of time and practice. Good pressure keys in on a lot of things. I like to be and honest and up front as I can. These things will help you, but it is going to take time to integrate them into your playstyle, and evolve the instincts you need to do them in the first place.

    1. Triage your map. This means you should immediately look out across the map and decide what Generators are not worth fighting for at all. As you become more familiar with the maps (which takes time) this becomes easier and easier. There are some Generators that appear inside areas and loops that are just too friendly to the Survivors. Consider that Generator that always appears upstairs in the "Ugly Room" of the Hawkins map. This is the room where the Upside Down is spilling over into the real world. It takes forever to get there, you have to go all the way in, up the stairs and then back around to get to the Survivors. They on the other hand have multiple holes to drop down on, a whole side to drop down on and go back up the stairs, and even a crazy little catwalk in the corner. Time spent in this room is largely a waste. Likewise, any Generator spawning next to the Pig Head Tree and the little Stone Wall is like swimming upstream when you face someone with even the basics of Looping down. There are strong points and weak points for Survivors all over the map, just as there are those for Killers. Once you know your maps, it only takes a moment or two to identify those areas which provide the most dead zones and advantage to you.
    2. Corrupt Intervention is your friend. Why not start the first two minutes of the match only having to defend four Generators? It gives you time to get a feel for the Survivors and a lot more time to do that Triage I spoke about above. It takes time to do Triage fast, but with Corrupt Intervention you have time to think until you have internalized the instinct. Sometimes you even get a bonus. Sometimes the three furthest away Generators are also the closest together. This means you can instantly see the best 3-Gen at the start of the game and you don't have to defend it yet. You can get your early hits and hooks in, and then if you feel you have to, shift to that side of the map and defend those hardcore and lock up the game. It is a dirty trick, and those three furthest aren't always the closest together, but at least a third of the time, they are in fact a great 3-Gen.
    3. Eat those pallets and take those early stuns. Lots of Killers are adverse to getting hit, so much so that they respect the pallet and it doesn't get thrown. Remember that Triage above (it all goes back to that)? I said you want to identify your strong points early (dead zones which favor the Killer) and in the early game you want to NOT respect the pallet in those areas so they drop them. So you get a brief stun, so what? The key thing is you have made that strong point into a fortress now and defending the Generators in it just got a whole lot easier as the game goes on. Take your lumps early to ensure they take their hooks later.
    4. Learn to Herd. Herding is another tactic, not unlike Camping, Tunneling, Slugging, etc. It just isn't very well known. Herding is the practice of chasing in such a way as to pick up more than one (as many as you can) Survivors in a chase as possible. In fact, you often aren't really chasing, only giving the appearance of it. You listen for those Generators being repaired, you keep an eye out for other Survivors as you chase, and then swing wide to bring them into the same motion. The more Survivors that are running, the fewer there are working Generators. Also, if you scoop up 2+ Survivors in a chase the chances are that they will get in each other's way allowing hits or downs, and/or when they do break into different directions, you get an option to cut the distance and go for an easier target than the one just pushing M1 and going in a straight line. Herding also allows you to nudge them toward the 3-Gen you want. If you just start chases (even those you know you don't intend to close) and keep running them off from certain areas, Survivors always gravitate to the Generators of least resistance, i.e. working on those you have written off anyway.
    5. Keep track of where everyone is located, or likely located. This skill only comes with time, countless hours spent playing the game. You get a feel for where Survivors are and you take note of when you see Crows in the distance, or you see one land as you move into an area. There are always clues that can tell you where people are even when they are being pretty sneaky. If you run up on a Generator that was at zero last time you checked it (not that long ago) and now it is almost done, it should tell you something. Even if you only see one Survivor running away, there is another there somewhere hiding and waiting for you to chase off so they can finish the job. Does this mean you have to have a good sense of time, check Generators are regular routes and do the math in your head roughly? Yes. Does this mean you have to pay attention to crows, even the ones you can barely see? Yes. You also have to take note of the Generators that are going up and in what pattern. Are your Survivors clumping together or are they spreading to the four winds?
    6. You have to study your Survivor reactions early. Are they altruistic or are they going to milk every hook for maximum Generator time? Altruistic types can be disrupted simply by hooking someone, and make sure you hook them in a backwater, some deep corner where there are no Generators or the Generator there is already done (if you can). This takes two Survivors off Generators (or more) for the longest time possible. Also, the further someone has to travel, the greater the chance they will run into you while you are leaving that backwater. Dead corners can be better than the Basement. Also, if you are so lucky as to hook two Survivors at the same time, hook them near each other if possible and in this case near a Generator or two you are defending. Then you can defend those Generators and camp at the same time. You will be pulling at least one and perhaps both the other Survivors in this case for the rescue and have killed three birds with one stone.

I'm going to stop there, because I've given you enough to think about and practice. There is more, a LOT more. These are just the things I think you will have the most power over early. Different Killers, of course, have options to Proxy Camp, Insta-Down, and various Regression Perks help with generator pressure too. I'm making the assumption you already know about those.

Pretty much what he said. Playing Killer is not only chasing people around, tunneling someone who can loop you easily on the best zones of the map, getting the gens poped because you cant diversify and coming to the forum to rant. Killer has a huge strategic factor that a lof of people ignore, you need to study the map in the first 30 seconds and prepare, for me the very moment the match loads, when the camera is spining around me in third person view Im already checking gen locations and which ones are important and which ones are not

Triaging the map right at the start is paramount, almost all maps have generators on clusters or in worst case scenario a map will have 6 gens in 2 thirds of the map and one lone isolated gen in the other third, this gen is of no consequence and while checking it is ok (pressure is pressure and you should never give any generator for free) you shouldnt obssess over it.

Locate the best places and try to focus on those gens, getting rid of the pallets early is very important for it will allow to pressure those gens easily, to achieve this lead the Survivors towards that zone, this has 2 benefits, first it will force Survivors to drop the pallets you want out and second, it allows you to have constant vigilance over the important stuff.

Downing people fast is also what pressure Survivors the most, if your chases last too long you might be running the L-T gyms wrong, trying to mindgame unmindgameable loops or trying to loop around a god pallet, you might be making a lot of mistakes that extend chases too much without even noticing, there are some videos around that teach the basics of looping as Killer to make loops last less.

Also if you are a low mobility Killer running BBQ & Chili because "bEsT p3rk eVeR [random streamer] sAiD sO!" get rid of it, BBQ sucks for low mobility Killers its one of the worst detection perks for them, its only benefit is the extra BPs but we are talking about pressuring gens not about farming BPs, if you want to farm you have to gimp your build and cant blame balance, Survivors or wathever if you have a harder time because you brought it on yourself by chosing a subpar perk for slow Killers, use Discordance, Thrilling Tremors or Surveillance, this 3 give you information on gens, which is what you want to pressure, going after someone at the edge of the map opening a chest is useless unless you can teleport or rush there.

  • Like they fixed Warcraft 3 Refunded in 2 weeks...

The Blizzard of old is long gone, the one that made Starcraft, Warcraft 2, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2, vanilla WoW and TBC does not exist anymore, Activison-Blizzard took the name but their philosphy has shifted towards EA levels of corporation shenanigans, they are a bit faster fixing stuff because for now they have unlimited funds but make no mistake, the very moment some corporate suit notices they can get a new jet by slashing the budget in half they will patch things whenever they can.

By no means this excuses the gamebreaking bugs we get every patch but you are comparing them to something thats no better.

  • I disagree with him in this one, while he is right that a lot of Reddit post are just memes or crap when someone does not post any of that and post a suggestion or a rant is extremely biased usually suggesting insane changes without thinking how theyll affect the game in other aspects and then you can see the sheer amount of upvotes which means they actually endorse that opinion. Until very recently the most outrageous suggestions for new content I ever saw were all from Reddit, the stuff people on Reddit suggest is so absurd that it may be mistaken with trolling or memeing but most of them are being honest, the thing is those are usually in between memes, "just leave" videos, "i finally got to rank 4 after 1 year of playing Stridor Spirit yay me!" posts and Ortz simping so it looks like they are tamer.

That being said, steam forums, official forums and generals on imageboards are usually equally biased and filled with absurdity too but they have less crap hiding the toxic posts.

  • Yun-Jin: average perks (they are usually rubbish) and decent design.

Trickster: weak power, reiterative mechanic (more ranged attacks? really? we had 6 out of 9 Killers with ranged attacks since Plague) decent perks, design wise is weird, I dont like the Kpop style but I do like the fact they added another deranged Killer (no more "boohoo they were mean to me so now I kill because Im a poor misunderstood being" crap) and I like to see someone who isnt body horror with gruesome malformations or life threatening wounds, also he looks like he had a shower before entering the trial, the last non dirty Killer was Myers 4 YEARS AGO!!, as I said I dont like the theme but I love the design direction, also solid voice acting.

Reworks: they finally fixed Blight POV and I dislike Wraith overall but I guess he needed something for him.

Bugs: Spirit Fury and pallets not stunning Killers are annoying but at least they are not as savage as Oni's basement bug, Ormond game crashes, Wake Up bug, Twins patch or others so it was a pleasant surprise.

Overall decent chapter even if the Killer is weak (they can always buff him).

  • The only buff I think they could give Trickster without making him way too strong is making him not lose all the knives hit after a M1 and just lose some of them (with a top limit like you can only conserve up to 4 hits), this way you could toss some knifes during vaults, get an M1 if you cant hit them with ranged attacks and for the second health state at least you dont need to start from scratch.

    @UMCorian said:

I would be OK with him having 115 as it would help differentiate him from Hunteress and Deathslinger a bit more.

Buffing his daggers would be like: "Eh. All right. So now he's just like Huntress instead of Huntresses' ######### little brother."

Making him an M1 killer with a ranged option would, actually, make him a bit unique... as I don't believe any 115 killers exist that can wound people at range.

Pyramid Head, Plague and Demogorgon (he uses himself as proyectile).

  • Nah I dislike it on both roles and I tend to play stealth Killers so imagine how much I hate it. At least as Killer I can go AFK on a corner and not play it, as Survivor I cant ditch the other 3 even if Im tempted to DC and eat the penalty.

  • Midwich is the worst map overall, nothing compares to it.

Could have been two had Deliverance and the third just got lucky on unhooking themselves. Or possibly one of the two that had deliverance unhooked the third.

Nah Deliverance puts you on Broken after unhook and you can actually check the perks after the game has ended.

It doesnt matter anyway its false, he claims he was going to get 3K and got nothing because 3 people used Deliverance, doesnt add up in the slightlest.

A gets hooked, B saves and gets Deliverance.

A gets hooked again, C saves and gets Deliverance.

Until now everything adds up, you have B and C with Deliverance but how did D get it?. If a gets hooked again A dies and cant be unhooked, D cant get it unhooking himself, if B or C get hooked and D unhooks they lose their Deliverance (it only works on 1 stage) on top of that he claims he lost a 3K so A was still alive.

He claims B, C and D unhooked themselves with Deliverance. How did D get Deliverance then? he cant unhook A again and he cant unhook B and C either.

  • Im implying you lied on your post. No scrap that, I know you lied.

  • Oh if it isnt the Killer version of Sluzzy, how ya doin pal? is your baiting going well today?.

The numbers dont add up also Deliverance is a rare perk, especially several in the same group. Next time try to do the math yourself before posting because its impossible you got a 4 escape with 3 people using Deliverance at the same time.

  • I fully agree with OP and I would like to add that since Plague we got 9 Killers which 6 out of them are played around some kind of ranged attack, either by throwing a direct proyectile (Plague, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Trickster) or by the Killer being the one being used as ranged attack (Demogorgon and Twins) it feels very uninspired.

It looks like someone took the reigns of the game mechanic design team after Legion and that person LOVED ranged attacks.

  • It depends, if Im playing someone like Spirit or Hag because I have a ritual I understand completely, if Im playing a more normal Killer I dont like it because they are ditching their teammates for petty reasons.

  • Sometimes when someone is being too derpy, tries to sell the others or is trying to being a useless jerk (people with flashlights following a Killer trying for blinds and failing miserably, they dont fix gens and they dont save the downed teammate).

  • Problem is not everyone is like you, me too I try to give a decent experience to the other side and my games even if I 4K Survivors end up with a ton of points (unless they behave like jerks then its sweating time) but there is always going to be a bunch of people ready to use and abuse wathever they can get their hands to stomp as fast as they can.

Old Legion main problem was little input from Survivors, whoever gets targeted first gets downed wathever he tries, there was no way you could escape a decent old Legion by yourself, you could only escape if the Killer made a mistake. I understand you like that kind of gamestyle but that kind of game mechanic was easily abusable by a bunch of jerks.

In any case I may be wrong and the change would be unconsequential, they could give what you suggest in the next PTB and see what happens.

  • Yeah I understood you want only the ability to drain Deep Wounds meter with sucessive stabs until people are downed and thats exactly what I dont want, for the Survivor it was impossible escape Legion for they outrun, outvault and ignore pallets, for Legion it was a slow way to down someone (similar to what happens with Deathslinger) so people knowing fully they couldnt win a chase and the chase was going to be slower than usual they genrushed. Also to reimplement that they would need to adjust stuff like timer on Feral Frenzy and stuff.

In the end games went like this, Legion found someone, people saw Deep Wounds, went into genrush overdrive, Legion being slow at downing people with their power and being a 110% speed Killer took their sweet time downing them and hook but people were commiting fully to gens because it was a pain to play against and wanted out. People ignored saves just to push gens, thats how disliked Legion was.

Old Legion was so disliked its said it almost killed the game.

  • There is a reason people speak of old Legion as the most unsufferable Killer to be released ever both as play as and against (then Twins got released and took their throne as the epithome of bad game design).

I play Legion a bit and I dont want the old one back.

I had to DC on the other times because I had to do stuff around my house, I was having a really bad day that day so that's why I DCed

I work shift and sometimes I get called to do extra time, when that happens I disconect, say sorry on postchat and go work, even with a volatile work schedule Ive never got a penalty higher than minutes. I believe penalties lower a step every 24 hours you dont DC if you got 6 hours you had way too many DCs without cooling down during that time frame.

The last one may be unfair but were the rest?.

  • You just keep making extremely Killer-biased threads, Ive lost counter. Are you sure the game is extremely unbalanced or are you overestimating your skill? You may not be as good as you think you are.

Survivors are not bots, they are players like you and players can outplay other players, if you are getting demolished either you instrospect and look at what you are doing wrong and what went wrong or stay the same and keep getting stomped because you refuse to learn from your mistakes or go play Solo Survivor and enjoy the overpowerness yourself...

I see these types of post come up all the time, and I'm both annoyed and vaguely amused at the same time. Some of them claim Killers are the red-headed stepchild, while others claim it is the Survivors. Both viewpoints are nonsense, and born of intense bias and an unwillingness to accept reality. I'm going to point a few things out to you. You can learn from these facts, or you can ignore them and live in a self-serving fantasy world.

    1. DbD requires both roles for the game to function; there are no Bots.
    2. There being more Survivors than Killers doesn't matter because without at least 1 per 4 there is no game.
    3. The DEV (and company behind them) do not have favorites; their job is to keep the Ques moving.
    4. If the Que bogs down or the game tips to far to one role or the other, they lose players, and thus money.
    5. BEhavior doesn't like losing money, and works very hard to keep things moving and roughly balanced.
    6. Most people in DbD play both roles, i.e. Killer and Survivor.
    7. Many people indulge in extremely myopic behavior.
    8. Many people indulge (or suffer from) confirmation bias.
    9. Myopic behavior and confirmation bias combine to create selfish, entitled jerks (all genders).
    10. Some people then come here and post nonsensical rants about favoritism on the part of BEhavior.

So which do you think is more likely:

    1. The DEV (and the company behind them) just like Survivors better, and are willing to flush their profits down the toilet and kill the golden goose to make them happy.
    2. You are one of those people discussed in 7-10 above?
    3. Or you are just frustrated and you let your emotions run away with you this time, failing to look at the big picture. And now that you understand the facts, you can consider things in a less biased way?

I like this post, I like it a lot.

I dont think I could have written it better.

Ruin still slows down gens to this day, and is way more effective than its previous version

It doesnt matter, there is something fishy with the stats always, ALWAYS, first it was crashes, when the game got stable then it was DCs after we got DC penalty it switched intentional first hook deaths then ranks pair people with potatos, or Moris inflating stats or "they said you have to take them with a grain of salt so that 75% kill rate on Freddy means he has 7,5%" or wathever insane reason people can come with.

The only absolute fact we have is BHVR said they looked at Freddy stats several times and noticed he was always outperforming so he is getting nerfed. Now ill enter speculative zone but I believe they were fully aware very soon how strong he was and it took them this much for reasons outside of their reach (he is a licensed character after all...).

I believe the reason BHVR does not release stats anymore is because people twists them to fit their narrative in the most malignant way and in turn it turned the forum into a warzone for a month.

P.D. I do believe they are also aware on how much Spirit outperforms and how little counterplay she has, this is pretty obvious, but they dont know how to change her exactly without gutting her power.

  • Because they are starting to get bored of playing Killer and I emphatize with that, I cant play certain Killers because how easy it is to get 3-4K (looking at you Spirit, Freddy and Hag) and I consider myself average (altough after reading the forums and Reddit I started to suspect Im better than average...) I cant imagine how easy is to the guys who are actually very very good at this game to get 4K after 4K and only having engaging challenges against the sweatiest of SWATs squads.

I think the only time Killer has been easier than now was during the ~4 months of old Undying+Ruin.

  • Dont tunnel trapped Survivors because they are not working on gens but if they happen to run into you or you see them in a box and they refuse to leave it go smack them, its free pressure even if you dont hook them.

When you down someone look if there are any nearby boxes where you are going to hook, if there are 2 maybe try to hook farther away or even dont use the RBT in that scenario for he could get unhooked and get the RBT removed very fast.

Dont abuse the crouch, while it gives you stealth it also slows you down a lot and restricts pressure, something Jigsaw already lacks so use it on loops or when you have positive confirmation someone is somewhere.

    @Northener1907 said:

Dont waste your traps early. Because that will make you lose possibly. Keep one of them before last gen. Use it before last gen finish. So that will make one of the survivors stay in match. I am not playing as Pig so much, that is best i can give you.

Ignore this, traps stall the game and help you reaching that last gen slower, especially if there are several trapped Survivors at once for they block eachother at boxes.

  • Yes, the developers said they will adjust Freddy, they didnt say when.

  • Since you are already asking for something as ludicrous you may aswell demand DS to deactivate when throwing pallets and vaulting windows because why not?.

    @[Deleted User] said:

No offense but you seem to really want this gone, can I ask why? I mean the fully healed survivor still can't do stuff to progress the game if they want to keep their DS

His whole post reeks of him tunneling hard and managing to eat a DS from a full healed Survivor and we cant have that now, can we?.

  • Actually its not, as long as you use decent headphones. Im not joking or trolling, I was surprised by how easy she was to play as when her Archive got released and got her with shards, so easy it gets boring very very fast.

  • Corn maps are 5 out of 35 maps so on average they appear 1 out of 7 games, they have a higher chance because there are more of them, same applies for Autohaven and McMillan maps.

Also Thompsons House, Rotten Fields and Fractured Cowshed are almost identical so it feels like you are playing the same map when you get them in a gaming session.

  • Myself I rarely get slugged, the other guy who gets downed when we are only 2 Survivors left gets slugged around 1 out of 4 games or so.

And no, Im not a coward who inmerses himself on a corner, Im just very good at juking and going undetected when the Killer comes check the gen Im working on so Im usually one of the 2 that are left for last.

So you're against a buff to make solo closer to SWF in terms of power, allowing them to buff killers on the basis of them being closer together?!

What the #########?! You're literally complaining about gen speeds being too fast, so why would you be against something that lets them buff killers?!

Not only that, the more enticed and easier it is the higher the chances people will cleanse dull Totems and the less theyll work on gens, getting all 5 Totems is 70 seconds of not working on a gen, not counting time spent searching and moving around, its like having to fix an extra gen per trial. Why would any Solo player try to cleanse 7 Totems? or try to find 5 totems in super hard places? is better to rush gens, after all NOED is not that common anyway, make it harder and youll get more and more genrush.

One of the reasons I dont go searching for Totems against NOED is because I know I wont be able to find all of them and I cant trust the other Solos so I just play defensively on the 5º gen, once its fixed I linger near the doors, wait until someone gets hit, rush the switch and 99% the doors, then I decide if I go for saves/conga lines or I get out (NOED is always get out ASAP). I survive more times playing scummily around the 5º gen like this than going for Totems.

P.D. I do cleanse dulls if I happen to pass by them but I dont go out of my way searching them, its not worth it.

  • "NOED isnt a problem its your fault it triggers"

So it was DS and look how well that perk ended.

  • The emblem system aims to reward good performance, take it as top basketball team or a top football team have a match against a amateur team of friends, they are going to stomp but they wont be proving anything.

If a Killer curbstomps the Survivors, downs them asap with very short chases, slug them for 4k and end the game with 4 hooks total you won, but you didnt prove anything because you got paired against potatos so you shouldnt advance the ranks, same applies to Survivors, if a Killer gets looped for 5 gens its because he is worse than the Survivors he is facing, Survivors will most likely escape all and win but they didnt prove anything either, they faced a potato with a knife so they shouldnt advance the ranks either.

You should advance the ranks by proving you are better than someone similar to your skill not by smashing very weak oponents.

That being said, a win should never mean a depip except in some especific cases.

P.D. yes I know the emblem system is busted and doesnt achieve that in a very good way but thats the intended purpose.

... if the game was truly balanced, no killers would have counterplay?

No no, you dont understand, the counterplay to Spirit is easy, you just have to play against a bad Spirit with no Stridor, the counterplay is there but entitlted Survivors refuse to even try to land on a lobby against a bad Spirit, its not hard to divine the future and learn if the Spirit is going to be decent or terrible, if he is decent you lobby dodge, simple as that... come on guys get a grip and git gud.

On a serious note, I think Spirit (and Freddy) are getting old Hillbilly treatment from bad Killer mains "tH3 MOST BaLanCEd K1llEr eVeR!!".

  • Wouldnt work because a lot of people consider toxic everything but curbstomping the other side, Survivors escaped? toxic, Killer killed me? toxic.

  • @Xzan said:

What if they just rework Stridor. Wouldn't this solve the biggest problem with Spirit?

Not really, a perk shouldnt be mandatory to be able to play against a Killer (or against anything) and even without Stridor you can still hear the footsteps and see the grass moving.

Perks should work as a help in certain areas not as the only option against something.

So it's been a year since the exploit was acknowledged and 4 years since it's been discovered by players. Brilliant.

Fixing the stretched resolution is going to be one of the hardest things to fix in this game, I think is so hard they are going to need something outside of the box to fix it like making high wall loops infinitely high or something like that.

Coding is not sitting on a chair and stuff starts working by itself, some problems are extremely hard to fix or impossible.

Sure. But in order to take an advantage from the killer, they have to take one from survivors as well. It's only fair.

That doesnt make any sense at all, for example DS got nerfed this patch so in exchange now they should nerf Killers too?.

The "you more!!" and whatabouthism mindsets hurt this game way too much.

  • I think its related to the fact Twins main strength is slugging which is an extremely unfun way to play as and against.

Myers isn’t filtered for everyone initially though, someone posted a screenshot on the first page, trying out different words that supposedly are censored but they could write all of them...

I know the filter works on a personal basis but as I said, I have never ever used strong language unless you consider "camper" something worth of being filtered yet I have Real, Myers and Name filtered, what kind of adaptation is that when I got 3 regular words already filtered without even saying any kind of insult or slur?.

The only feedback I can give to the filter right now ist that its trash, its not something in need of tweaks or QoL changes, it needs to be scrapped and rebuilt because it doesnt work like it should in the slightest and I studied computer coding, making a regular filter like the one on the forum is extremely easy.

I mean, offensive things were always not welcome and reportable.

many many people complained about toxicity in the chat, and they introduced a filter system that apparently filters a little bit too much. They can adjust their filter though.

it’s just another case of community complaining about anything instead of giving constructive feedback..

"Its just a case of community complaining about anythign instead of giving constructive feedback"

Words like "Myers", "Real" and "Name" are filtered words, the filter is absolute trash. I dont know what kind of feedback can I give about something that filters those words, the whole adaptative stuff is absurd because I have never ever used strong language on the post chat yet I have regular words filtered, what kind of adaptation is that? a preemptive strike?.

Just make a list with slurs and heavy insults and call it a day, like the one we have in the forum, easier, more reliable and faster to implement.

  • Easy doesnt mean strong, it means how easy is to use the power and perks, his perks are passive and his power is spamable enough to be easy to get hits with it, Trickster is overall an easy Killer to play as, it has nothing to do with his strength.

This applies to hard too, hard doesnt mean weak, Nurse is very hard but is by no means a weak Killer.

  • For looping a Wraith at a low-wall god pallet for 4 gens, apparently it was my fault he didnt break it and he had to teach me a lesson because entitled Survivors are way too entitled and the devs cater to them, best part is he was Rank2.

It was so surreal I had to pinch myself to check it wasnt a dream.

  • I probably have around 45-55% on both sides (fluctuates depending on queues) but I do acknowledge I resonate more with the Survivor plight because I play only Solo and it can be HELL sometimes so I come to the forums, read some things from mains and have to shake my head (and I also tend to have 3k on average as Killer so I dont get a lot of the complains).

  • Nah I dont use Enduring and I didnt get stunned by a pallet today so its not related, or at least Enduring is not the only trigger for this bug.

  • Not really, the Killer seems weak but his perks are decent, the Survivor perks are meh (usually they are trash), as far as I know there hasnt been any game breaking bug and the Killer doesnt have infuriating gameplay oversights like Twins mass slug, old Legion or CamperHead camping cages.

The worthiness of a chapter is not based only on having a strong Killer, stuff like decent perks, no bugs and no gameplay oversights also add.

As examples, Legion and Twins chapters broke the game and introduced a Killer that made people want to ragequit, Oni chapter introduced a bug that made people hooked on the basement unable to play after the unhook.

  • While sometimes I dont agree with him he does seem to be the guy who has the best grasp at mechanical and gameplay level of all streamers and realizes several problems with both the comunity, the developer team and the game itself, unlike other streamers who usually reek of bias from miles away (from BOTH sides) Scott tends to remain somewhat neutral when analyzing the problems he sees and he does manage to coalesce all the whining from the forums into some logical and well structured arguments.

He nailed the problems with Spirit, DS and PH for example, he was the person who managed to put together an argument, not against those Killers, but against the gameplay decissions the team was making where all what mattered was Killer input and Survivors did nothig but either pray the Killer was bad or eat a hit that they could not dodge (I believe Trickster was shiped as weak as he was because they really took the advice of looking for counterplay before releasing wathever crossed their minds, and I think is better to release something weak and then buff it than releasing something like first iteration CamperHead and then having to patch him twice).

In other instances (like the PGTW or the Big Data) I do not agree but he always has a valid point and several arguments in his favor, I use Pop since Clown got released and the 15 second nerf is barely noticeable and I dont think BHVR looks at Big Data much, if they did look several maps would have been already changed before the ones that got changed and a lot of Killers would have been nerfed by now since all of them broke the 50% intended balance treshold (for non absurdity lets say a 65% kill rate is acceptable and balanced, a lot of them were over 65%) and this was before new nerfs to Survivors, fixing of certain maps (except The Game) and buffs to several Killers which would have make the ratio go slightly higher.

  • And some of them had really problematic layouts for certain Killers or for Survivors, they needed several tweaks to make them more playable.

  • Ok this is INSANE.

"REAL" and "NAME" are banned words. I found after trying to write "Shape real name is a banned word".

    "Myers" is banned.

    "Facecamp" is also banned.

At this rate you may aswell get rid of postchat all together because we can only comunicate with "yes" and "no" (unless they get banned too which wouldnt be surprising after what Ive seen).

Of course it's on the killer side. If it was on the survivor side it would be a tech and not an exploit.

If it was on the Survivor side the forums would be flooded with threads screaming for a fix, like when the hook exploit was discovered.
