Why is SWF hated? because some Killers only want to stomp and stomping a SWF is not easy. They are beatable but full 4 SWFs tend to put up a fight, is very rare to end matches against them with 3 or more gens left
Also SWFs dont fall prey to scummy tactics like camping (they will genrush you if you do it or BT save the guy), tunneling or mass slugging, since a lot of bad players tend to abuse this against Solos they try it too against SWF but they get smashed, with their pride hurt they vent against SWFs instead of self reflecting.
-
I do like having this kind of matches from time to time, I usually have a good laugh, especially if they are full meme.
The best match of this kind was once I got a team like this and I was playing Scratched Myers on old The Game, we all got carried by the meme magic.
-
Seeing what we are gettign latelly Im going with something like this.
- Survivor Perk 1: useless.
- Survivor Perk 2: useless.
- Survivor Perk 3: very situational niche perk (Killers will make a huge fuss about Survivor Perk 3, claiming it will totally break the game and that it needs toning down, especially on SWFs, at least make it EXTREMELY situational or give half the effect).
Now for Killers.
- Killer Perk 1: useless.
- Killer Perk 2: gimmick overshadowed by older perks.
- Killer Perk 3: MAYBE decent on someone not related to the chapter (and its a huge maybe).
P.D. yes, this is a rant.

Because he is a licensed character and everytime someone unlocks stuff for him the license holders gets paid, if you could use iridiscent shards BHVR would get no money AND they would have to pay the license holder, effectively losing money.

Like I said to goodboykaru I think event cosmetics are tacky but guess I'm just fussy lol
Yeah, they are quite tacky but the Rift ones are recolors of other cosmetics, this last rift was the exception since we got the christmas mobile cosmetics but other rifts have been much better like Clown's plushy outfit among other ones.
-
They do give some stuff for free, the Rift has a free section with a few cosmetics, sometimes with certain events they also release free stuff, usually Halloween and Christmas events and the anniversary usually has free stuff too.

I watched the whole stream and it was actually a gold mine of salt.
This guy makes sluzzy look reasonable
I do believe Sluzzy is an elaborated troll act, the way he/she writes and how he/she explains their points and argues back is way too... weird? I dont know how to explain it but Sluzzy feels a lot like the way I write and argue when Im intentionally trolling on social media (it takes one to know one).

People, dont listen to this post, the best part starts at 16:40 not at 18:35.

People get tilted for such petty things...
-
Nah, it wouldnt work. Against SWFs or decent players totally useless, they would just go in pairs, against potatos... well you can go full M1 against them and still 4K so it wouldnt change much.
Current Trickster iteration may not be the strongest but at least he can get things done if you get someone on the open, on a dead zone or in low wall loops, your version would be powerless against something as easy as going in pairs the entire match, imagine being denied by people going as 2 and using 110% movement speed.
-
I dont think Spirit should be nerfed with fatigue as it would make her Legion with stealth or Blight without bounces. In my opinion Spirit should be nerfed around her ability to track, get tracked and overall ability to proxy camp. Dont know how they can achieve this but im not the one getting paid to think of solutions.
-
Demogorgon main strength is map control and shred to get easier downs, Spirit is far superior in both fields while being unlocked with shards and also having smaller TR and stealth.
Is not that Demogorgon is bad but his main strengths are extremely overshadowed by another free Killer so whoever wants that kind of gamestyle has a far superior option.

When someone goes afk, it doesnt say on top of your head the reason, you should know that. I've had people who go afk for non serious reasons.
Maybe if he told them it was bc his dog was choking, they wouldnt have had a problem with it.
So again, there's also others context, not just OPs
He did tell her on her twitch channel and she didnt care and said it wasnt her problem.

Watched some Myers on The Game and Clown from 6 days. You are not good at this game, sorry but is the truth, you still need to learn A LOT about it, worst if you didnt improve a single bit from that Myers from 2 months ago to Clown 6 days ago.
- Excessive amounts of slugging instead of hooking people, losing pressure because people just picked up their teammates, slugging stalls the Survivors but doesnt advance your objective, you still have to hook them 3 times.
- Trying to mindgame low wall god pallets, what are you trying to achieve? they CAN see you, you cant mindgame a god pallet, especially a low wall one where the Survivor has line of sight all the time, one of those you even lose an entire tier or EW3 with Bloodlust 2.
- Getting looped on Chapel god windows for a minute without breaking the walls and eliminating the god loop, this happens with other breakable wall god loops.
- 2 of the worst detection perks you can have for Myers and Knockout on top of that, also no stalling perk at all, what kind of trashy build is that? at least you put M&A.
- Rancor and M&A on Clown? really?.
- Missing almost point blank bottle tosses with finger, I can understand missing some of them but not to the extent you miss.
- Awful way of running the gyms, no wonder it takes you so much to down people.
- A paranoid obssesion with SWFs, you know if you see 2 people without little globes and 2 people with it and "randomword2342" nicknames means they are playing on console and odds are they are not a SWF? max they are a 2 PC and 2 Console but they cant have voice coms between all 4.
- On top of all of that, the Survivors you got werent even very good to begin with, the way they loop and throw pallets show most of them were average or lower than average skill.
Im sorry but you are in no position to suggest changes to this game, you are still very new or bad and too stubborn to learn from your mistakes and instead you blame them on an imaginary enemy (pesky SWFs when its obvious most time you are not facing 3 or 4 SWFs squads), first try to improve, play some Survivor too since that helps learn Killer better. Or play Stridor-Spirit since is ez modo stomp-a-lot and can carry you, that is until the day they gut her (it will come to pass eventually), in any case with those skills even Spirit wont carry you against real Rank1 Survivors.
Ill give you credit for posting your gameplays for us to check.

Ah, I see, that helps me paint a picture. Originally when I was making this I had someone rant how a monster like Nemesis couldn't work because Pallets wouldn't hurt him yadi yadi yada, I wanted to agree but then I wondered, how much do the Pallets weigh and how much force is applied when thrown. So now with all this info, I'm inclined to believe that this probably could stun him just a little though
Well the case of Nemesis, Mr X and the lot of RE monster pallets wouldnt work mainly because they are durable as tanks.
Nemesis was able to withstand a grenade at mele range and an helicopter crashing on him, Mr X survived being tossed into molten iron and being shot a dozen times in the face etc. RE monster are orders of magnitude more durable than DBD Killers, a pallet would be nothing for them.

Thx for helping clear it up a bit. so that could mean they weigh around 275 pounds, and say they move at a speed of .9144m/s. How much would that be? God this should be a video for game theory
Well to gauge the raw "strength" of how much force the pallet would apply we have to gauge the surface of impact and a lot of stuff, is not easy but 125 kg throw on someone by gravity alone is a lot of force, it may not be lethal since the distance is short but it still can crush or compress the chest enough to suffocate someone. That using gravity alone, ingame Survivors look like they apply some downwards force to the pallet to increase its acceleration.
Long story short, I believe only Trapper, Myers, Leatherdace and Oni would be able to withstand the pallets being throw on them and still be able to keep walking albeit injured, tall but scrawny Killers (Wraith, Plague, Deathslinger etc) would have a lot of trouble getting out of them and the small weak ones would be immbolized entirely (or suffocated by chest compression).
This using DBD pallets of course and not real life ones.
P.D. on a sidenote, real life pallets are very very durable, forget about breaking them with kicks, you need hammers to break the wooden beams, maybe a regular person you can break the planks if they are rotten.
-
@Dabihwow said:
So I'm not sure if anyone thought about this, but to kinda understand what I'm talking about I'll give you a scenario. Say I'm looping the killer near a pallet, killer gets to close to me and I throw the pallet on their head and that stuns them. I want to know how much pounds of force is being used when I throw down the pallet and how much pounds of force am I applying to the killer? If you confused for what I'm asking, basically I'm asking how hard does the pallet hit the killers' head
Depends on the pallet and who throws it, Force = mass X acceleration (not speed), lets say the pallet weights 10 kilos and you throw it with an acceleration of 10 m/s it would be 10X10=100 newtons of force.
Thats using random numbers, I work on an oil refiner and we use pallets, they weight more of what people give them credit for, they are made with 3 solid wooden beams and then planks nailed on said beams, an European pallet of 1200 X 800 weights around 25 kg or so.
That is for real life pallets, DBD pallets are much more solid and dense, they have bigger wooden beans, wider planks and they seem to be solid in their entirety, they look bigger too, they look like a stack of wooden beams nailed and tied, I believe they could be close to 125 kg or even more, I believe DBD pallets could potentially kill or badly injure most Killers when hit by them.
-
Actually I believe the esports serious people are ruining DBD, this is more similar to Mario Party than to Starcraft/Dota and cant be balanced at all unless you put a chatbox for Solo queue to write and comunicate with the rest of the team.

Suuuure...
Thats illegal in all of the UE and probably (dont know since im not from those countries) in Canada, USA, England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and probably most developed and developing countries.
Im sure BHVR is going to get into a legal mess of such proportions just because some of their playerbase see premades everywhere...
-
Asking the developers to do something about an external program that doesnt affect the game's archives is absurd, is literally imposible.
-
I think its for several reasons.
- God pallets can be used by almost any Survivor even by not very good ones while good vaults require at least to be decent at running the gyms so if you get bad Survivors you are going to have trouble even if they are not very good at looping, thats not the case on heavy window maps where bad players are easier to down.
- The chase someone, drop pallet, break pallet is quite boring, especially for Killers.
- A lot of players are very bad, the kind of players that dont realize 3gen setups (or dont care) or try to mindgame low-wall god pallets, this map punishes heavily bad Killers while doesnt punish bad Survivors as much so bad Killers have a much harder time than usual since they have to deal with their mistakes while Survivors dont, bad players tend to spam the forums with complains more than good players.
-
I wouldnt mind Breakdown breaking Hooks forever since 1 person using it is of no real consequence but the problem comes with 4 people using it, you can potentially get rid of of 8 hooks before killing someone and thats excessive.
If they find a way of balancing it, sure it can stay similar to what is now, if they cant it has to go.
-
Design wise while I dont like the K-pop theme I do like the fact we got a Killer with no deformities, no life threatening wounds and looks like he hasnt been rolling on garbage for days. I also like his voice lines and laugh EXCEPT that song he hums after hooking someone, dont know the name but kids use it to annoy other kids, I wish I could get rid of it.
Gameplay wise cant speak for I havent tried him but I must admit he does look like interesting even if he is weak, Im tempted to unlock him.
-
It is bannable but it doesnt mean you will automatically be banned for abusing it.
Take it as speed tickets, if you exceed top speed you may get fined or not, even if the cop stops you he may let you go with a warning instead of a fine.
P.D. I do believe exploit abusers should get at least a few hours ban as warnings.

over 200 hours.
to be more specific, and Please correct me if my math is wrong guys, but...
2 matches to gain 1 rift fragment x 10 rift fragments to gain 1 level of the rift = 20 matches to gain 1 level of the rift.
70 levels of the rift x 20 matches per level = 1400 matches.
average of 10 mins per game x 1400 matches = 14000 minutes
14000 minutes / 60 minutes = 233.3333333 hours of playtime.
233.3333333 / 24 hours per day (with lots of caffeine and no sleep) = 9.722222222222208 days.
233.3333333 / 16 hours per day (if you have no life, but still sleep 8 hours per night) = 14.583333 days
233.3333333 / 8 hours per day (if this game is your job) = 29.16666666666663 days
233.3333333 / 4 hours per day (if you play casually) = 58.33333333333325 days.
etc...
Typical Tome challenge averages:
11 multi-match challenge nodes x 3 rift shards per challenge node completed = 33 rift shards
9 single match challenge nodes x 5 rift shards per single match challenge completed = 45 rift shards
33 + 45 rift shards for completing tome 4 lvl 1 challenges, + 10 rift shards rewarded for completing tome lvl 1 = 88 shards or 8 levels of the rift and 8/10ths of a level.
Total time to get every challenge done, assuming you get each multi match challenge done in 2 matches, and every single match challenge done in 1 match: 2 matches x 11 multi match nodes = 22 matches + 9 single match nodes = 31 matches.
31 matches x 10 mins per match = 310 mins
310 mins / 60 mins = 5.166666666666667 hours.
70 rift levels - 8.8 for completing the rift = 61.2 rift levels remaining
20 matches per rift level x 61.2 rift levels = 1224 matches
1224 matches x 10 mins per match = 12240 mins
12240 mins / 60 mins = 204 hours
204 hours + 5.166666666666667 hours to complete the tome 4 lvl 1 = 209.1666666666667 hours
209.1666666666667 / 24 hours per day without sleep = 8.715277777777778 days.
209.1666666666667 / 16 hours per day with 8 hours of sleep = 13.07291666666667 days
209.1666666666667 / 8 hours per day = 26.14583333333334 days
209.1666666666667 / 4 hours per day = 52.29166666666668 days
One match gives roughly 500 points, one rift fragment is 800 points, 2 matches give you 1 fragment and a bit more, to gain one level you need 8000 points, that translates to 16 trials per level ALSO you have to take on account the "first match as Killer/Survivor" bonuses that give extra 300 points each so the first game as both roles gives you a fragment each, going for a level per day with no challenges you need around 15 trials per day over 70 days. Using your calculation of how many fragments challenges give and how many levels you have to grind it amounts to 15*61,2=918 matches over the span of 70 days and assuming you play at least 1 game of both roles each day.
The grind is insane but is not as much as you calculated.

Nah I think the Trickster is a test in a new game design approach, before him they would release wathever they got without much testing, if it was weak it didnt matter that much because people have other 20 Killers to play, if it was broken Survivors had to endure game after game of unfair mechanics because everyone would flock to the new stomping FOTY then they would have to nerf it as fast as they could, sparking outrage about "DeVS aRE SurvIvOr Sid3D!!".
Lets take PH as an example, when they released him he was riddled with problems, the cage bodyblocking and the M2 into M1 instant attack made him broken and extremely easy to stomp with so people naturally used him a lot, in this scenario you have Survivors playing against a lot of the same broken Killer which in turn makes them go to the forums and complain or they switch to Killer until PH gets tweaked.
In the case of Trickster, they released a weak Killer, people tried him for a bit and then went back to wathever they played, in this case you have Survivors playing against what they used to play and Killers coming to the forums to complain that Trickster is weak, but they still can play their old Killers of choice, you still had wathever you played before him, and once Trickster gets buffed people wouldnt throw the same fit they usually throw when they nerf stuff.
As a proof, when PH bodyblocking cages and M2 into M1 got nerfed we did have threads complaining about said nerfs, when Trickster got buffed almost nobody complained it was going to be too strong, its easier for them to first release something weak and then buff it than releasing something broken and then nerfing it.
-
The worst part about that situation is the slugged guy is not even aware of how much of a throw that is, picking someone up from the ground is a huge blow to the Killer, you are essentially depriving him of 1 hook state plus a charge of BBQ, PGTW or Devour Hope... especially if you do manage to heal him to healthy afterwards (god bless Autodidact for some superfast pick ups).
-
We should pit Sluzzy against Lord_tony, it would be a battle of titans.
-
"So what do killers want from survivors?".
Good question, it has a different answer depending on what kind of Killer you got.
- A decent match with no lame stuff.
- An easy stomp with no lame stuff from the Survivor side (its fine if I camp but dont you dare genrush me).
If you get 1. they will usually say gg even if they lose or just skip the postchat and onto the next trial, if you get 2. you will probably get salt even if they 4k because some people get angered at anything.
P.D. In this case Im inclined to believe the Survivor because he died and got 18K, you dont die with that amount of points by staying inmersed on a corner, real inmersed players rarely get more than 10k if they die.
-
Nah they should reduce the grinding so people dont feel like custom games should award BPs.

that gotta be the weirdest question.
"why would you play another killer if you are so good with Nurse?"
Maybe cause they want to test something new and different which normal Blight isn't, you might as well just play billy at that point tbh.
The thing is you are fearmongering by saying by removing Blights flick those players would have to return to play god Nurse, so by asking a fix for an exploit Survivors are actually dooming themselves.
Thats what I find a bit absurd, if a player resorts to use an exploit to win is either a bad player or a sweatlord, first case if they are bad they wont be good at Nurse, second case if they are sweatlords AND good at Nurse they wouldnt stop playing her anyway, because she is much stronger than Blight with flick.

Welp when that happened all jflick blight mains I know will probably go back to slugging infect fright Nurse or Stridor Spirit cause those were their old mains. Blight without jflick is such a limited, lame and boring killer. The flicks added some spice into his gameplay
Someone who relies on using an exploit to get kills is probably not that good with Nurse because if they were good enough with her to put an entire team on slugging with Infectious Fright why would they be playing Blight in the first place?.

No, it's to give survivors a totem count which is a huge nerf to noed, in the form of a perk.
Not really, NOED is rather rare and equiping this perk only for the totem counter is absurd, Detective's Hunch also gives number of totems left plus chests and gens.
The only good thing Small Game had over Detective's is that it gave away traps, now is totally outclassed.

I dread when other survivors bring keys because it's usually a sign to the killer to go no holds barred lol
Not only that, on Solo queue people with keys tend to play in a very peculiar way, unless the Killer is getting decimated once there are 3 or 4 gens fixed they usually disappear never to be seen again near a gen, waiting for people to die so the Hatch spawns and they can use it.
Its odd, keys are supposed to increase my chances of escaping yet when I see a Survivor with them (unless a 3 SWF team) I tend to die a lot more.

I still don't understand why shifting meta is a bad thing. I'd rather face someone with lucky break, so they drop a second chance perk. You will need to run it with iron will in order to make it really work.
The thing is a lot of Killer mains are not against shifting the meta, they are against shifting the meta by buffing other perks. They want Survivors to switch builds by nerfing the meta so bad they have to stop using the perks not because other perks are now interesting or useful.

I know, I was being sarcastic because when they announced Spirit "nerfs" the forum got choke full of mains complaining she was now worse than old Clown and it turned out it was still one of the strongest and easiest Killers around.
P.D. old Prayer Bead was super broken, it made the wooosh effect silent when she is phasing, it made her invisibiliy better than current Wraiths invisibility.

So then don't nerf coms, buff killer who goes agaisnt an SWF. Making the killer stronger agasint SWF doesn't touch the SWF itself. So give a killer who is going up agasint SWF some extra perks to equip. It just evens the playing field.
Then SWFs wouldnt use the tool to enter as SWF and they would just lobby dodge like the did before it was implemented.
-
SWF strength comes from voice coms, its IMPOSIBLE to nerf voice coms for its something outside of the game, the only way to nerf SWF is by changing things in the game like removing loops or pallets and in turn it nerfs Solo too.
Solo weakness comes from lack of voice coms, if you manage to give Solo a similar amount of information as SWF both queues can achieve a similar status which in turn will allow BHVR to buff Killers or nerf Survivors accordingly.
