I have around 1000 hours of Solo playing, here are some tips from someone who has seen EVERYTHING.
First and foremost, stealth is not as bad as people parrot, the first line of defense is not getting caught, let the more attention seeking Survivors be the ones to be caught first. Try to stay stealthy the first ~20/30 seconds, until the Killer starts chasing someone, this doesnt mean going to the edge and crouch while doing nothing, it means not leaving scratch marks, not going towards the centre of the map or open areas where you could be easily be seen and never start fixing a gen the very moment you load because it may be the first one to be patrolled and if the Killer sees a gen that has been worked he may patrol the zone and spot you.
You have to be egotistical to a degree, equip perks that benefit you as Solo like DH/SB/DS/IW/SP etc, others like BT, We'll Make It are supergood but they are geared toward teamwork and while thats great in Solo you may get paired with someone unwilling to tank a hit with BT for you etc.
Letting people die on the hook is a no... unless there is 1 gen left and you are confident you can fix it before the Killer catches you, even if the person hooked has to die to power the gates.
Identify what the Killer is using, you can usually guess the most used perks just by seeing how he plays and play around them for example for some reason he always catches the gen being worked on by 2 or more? he has discordance, avoid working as team on gens, let the others trigger it while you work solo, he always comes back after you gentap? he has Surveillance, tap and hide several times to make him give up, Killer downs someone and refuses to hook during EGC? Bloodwarden alert, EXIT TRIAL ASAP, gen at 70% and Spine Chill activates for more than 3 seconds? Tinkerer, work up to 75% and hide, let him kick, return to work, Killer sucks? NOED is probably ingame so go stealth when there is 1 gen left.
If you dont have all totem spots memorized bring a detection perk for them, Solos may get the Ruin or DH at the first 30 seconds or dont give a crap about it the entire game, sometimes you will have to be the one cleansing hexes because nobody else will do it and they are direct interference on your odds of survival.
TL/DR as Solo not getting caught first or second is the first rule to surviving the trial, the second is dont be overaltruistic.
-
Not that rare, first of all you dont say how much time it took you to down someone, if it took 3 minutes or 15 seconds, second, Killers have been relying too much on the combo Ruin+Undying so a lot of the Survivors either run a Totem detection perk or check the usual spots right at the start because they have adapted and third you may have a string of very bad spawn points which makes Hexes last too little.

It‘s not beneficial for the team tho?
Depends, if he goes down asap its more detrimental to the team than cleansing.
-
Some people are better at stealth than looping so its on their benefit to cleanse.

I think the Exit Gates things is intended.

It should be killswitched. It's a killer add-on that doesn't work and gives survivors an unfair advantage of not having to deal with a killers Powers. How is completly negating a killers power not an unfair advantage?
The conditions for killswitching are if YOU use it, YOU gain an unfair advantage, on the case of the VHS if YOU use it, THEM gain an unfair advantage, you can always have the option to not use it to not gimp yourself unlike the first case.

I don't really think the slippery slope argument applies here. This isn't asking for something annoying/unfun to be disabled. It's asking for something very noticeably bugged to be disabled.
I dont think BHVR would get to the point of killswitching perks because anyone asks for them but I do think people would spam the forum with "disable this, disable that", half the post in this forum are already "nerf this, nerf that" and "BHVR Killer/Survivor sided".
In this case I believe they should just make an announcement on the News section of the game for everyone to see and call it a day, even if the addon bugs sometimes and doesnt kill, some people may be curious about how it works, most Jigsaw players should have a ton of them since its a conversion from the VHS yellow one (I have 80 of them, I can afford to throw away some of them if Im curious about how the game flows with 4 traps from the start).
-
On top of what Mandytalk and Jesterkind say take on account if they killswitch this people will ask to killswitch something else, if they do then something else then someone will start asking to killswitch stuff they find obnoxius (certain perks and Killers) because they found a bug that only happened to them but they dont have logs or videos about said gamecrashing bug but "trust me it happend, ok?".
Imagine all the threads about "killswitch Spirit", "killswitch NOED", "killswitch Dead Hard", "killswitch tbagging at the Gates" etcetcetc

By the way, remember how everyone was sure it was a scam and fake news? Where are those opinion pros now?
You cant really blame them, I tought it was a scam too because I didnt think the higher ups would get into something with such bad press as NFTs, I guess they were greedy enough to stir the wasps...

How? They have no legal weight.
They just, ok? trust us on this, NFTs are the start of a golden age, NFTs will die for our sins and redeem gaming.
-
Figured as much... I hope the tshirt selling webpages start ripping all the NFTs from the web and selling stuff, making the "owners" go mad since they cant enforce anything or demand compensation.

If ppl are concerned about the environment then what do they think millions of DBD matches do in comparison to a handful of NFT purchases? Talk about misplaced outrage.
DBD matches provide some usefulness to the world in the form of entertainement, they are a form of leisure and people need leisure on their lifes. NFTs contribute nothing to society, they are just overpriced .jpg receipts that require a ton of energy to be generated and in the end anyone can "save image as" instead of having to resort to a blockchain. Plus Im willing to bet all those transactions consume much more energy than all DBD servers by a large margin.
On sidenote, I wonder what would happen if people start using NFT images ripped fom the web to print posters, tshirts etc and sell them, are NFTs recognized by any goverment? can you actually sue people saving the image from your NFT and using it without your consent? are NFTs legally binding in any way?.

Can confirm this, just crashed when someone activated a Boon Totem, heard the noise notification one second later game crashed.

Don’t we pollute the environment just by driving cars as well? No outrage over that though, huh?
*Disclaimer: not a scientist, obviously*
A lot of cities are taking efforts trying to curb the sheer amount of cars in their roads by eliminating lanes, making entire streets pedestrian only, allowing only even license plates one day, odd license plates the next one, increasing number of public transporation buses, increasing bicycle lanes etc.
And like someone already said, cars are actually necessary (to an extent) for humans, same as plastics, electricity, oil, cement etc (to an extent too, you need plastics but you dont need a plastic bag of cookies where each cookie comes with its own plastic envelope, you dont need to drive your car if you can reach your destination on foot in 10 minutes etc) NTFs on the other hand provide nothing, they are completely useless and have no useful aplication at all, they are just a vehicle for speculators to make a lot of money out of people who want to play the bitcoin game but got in too late.
Its not about living like ascetics but being reasonable and not overconsuming, do you/me/anyone really need to eat beef every day? do we really need 2 cars? do we really need to have the air conditioning at 12 ºC in summer and heating at 28 ºC in winter? and a long list of etc, just think where you are being wasteful and try to reduce it, even if its a little, for example put a sweater in winter instead of setting the temperature super high, if everyone acted like this we could at least slow down the problem instead of going towards it at match speed 3.

Yea, I would love a refund, actually.
I'll never play Pinhead again despite owning him.
You may ask for one since the DLC has features that werent listed on the eshop page, I dont know if they are obligated to but at least you can try (I know I would if I had bought it), you may be lucky especially if you live on the EU.

I don't think anyone in the community is supporting them, this is 11 pages of hate about it. Also, please don't make it Killers vs. Survivors, or else it will end with a pig and decisive strike nerf and not a fixed game.
I think Sluzzy means supporting as in giving them money, BHVR releases a licensed character and people buy it blindly not even checking how buggy, poorly designed or reiterative the characters are, the last licensed characters have been anything but harmful to the overall health of the game Pyramid Head had to be changed 2 times, Nemesis is Pyramid Head 2.0 and brought AI controlled npcs and Pinhead came out with NFTs under the arm (plus for some reason licensed maps are usually awful gameplay-wise). People can complain on the forums all they want but if they still buy the licenses they are going to achieve nothing at all.
In my opinion after this, nobody should ever buy another licensed character again, people should vote with their wallets.
-
If licensed characters means NFTs Id rather not have licenses anymore, plus we would have the added benefits of not having to deal with maps like Hawkins or RPD, not having to deal with the license holders being unreasonable, tweaking and balancing would be easier, licenses retiring their characters (Stranger Things chapter) etc...
Licenses were great for a time, when they were a few and released like normal DLCs/Expansion content but I believe DBD has outgrown their usefulness and right now they bring more trouble than benefit for the players.

It's also a pyramid scheme
Plus it preys on people who are prone to spend way too much money on this kind of stuff, the so-called whales who behave in a way similar to gambling or substance adicts, which surpise surpise, your genes have a lot of saying on how much of a potential adict you can be so its not just "just dont buy it", some people are naturally weak against this kind of schemes (same as some people are naturally weak against flu).
-
We dont have enough data about the whole affair yet but depending on how it develops Steam may get rid of the game if it violates their new policy.
I said this on other thread, China is taking steps towards a ban on cryptocurrency and if they decide to ban NFTs too Valve could face a serious problem in China which is a HUGE market for them, I doubt Valve would risk their position there and if they have to ban a game they will, wathever DBD or any other game earns for Valve is nothing compared to the whole chinese market.
Like the church guy in L4D says: "better safe than sorry".
P.D. at this point they should just remove Pinhead and refund the money because its being more damaging than anything else.
-
This kind of stunts is why I dislike licensed characters so much.

I really doubt Steam removes DBD over this. Bear in mind this isn't what i think SHOULD happen, but rather what I think WILL happen. I just don't think Steam will remove it. If forced to respond, they'll say that BHVR isn't selling the NFT's directly on the platform.
Steam is a colossus on the online gaming market, I believe they can twist BHVR arm and not the other way around, what Steam makes from DBD is peanuts compared to the problem NFTs could potentially be since China is banning cryptocurrency, wouldnt be surprised the UE starting to look onto crypto stuff soon too.
Imagine China decides to ban NFTs too and companies using them, then they decide to give Steam trouble because several of the games sold on it have em, I think Valve is being smart by playing the whole affair on the supersafe side.
-
Very hard to tell without seeing how you play, what you are facing, maps etc...
There has been instances of people claiming Survivors being superbroken and the game barely playable and when they post their videos the main reason is the player being bad (bad to an insulting degree sometimes), by miracles of old rank system since they played a lot and stomped boosted Solos (who also ranked by playing a lot) they reached red ranks and had to face from time to time good players, supposedly MMR should fix or aleviate this problem.
First of all you should try to identify what gives you the most trouble and try to work a solution, sometimes is just poor L/T running or bad decission making.
P.D. I do believe the game is skewed towards Survivor at the highest level of play in SWF, especially the SWAT teams but for average players is not THAT bad, most of the time what really weights the results are maps, especially certain combinations which can be hell for a side.
-
Bamboozle is very strong on Myers, it makes his vault speed almost as fast as Survivor medium vaults when you are on EW3 and it also blocks L/T walls, "god" windows and forces faster shack pallets drops.
M&A is also very strong, it makes his TR on EW2 so small you can pretty much sneak upon anyone unless you are on the open and it also fuels his biggest strength, being able to sneak into the strongest Survivor with 99% EW3 and down him in seconds, a chase that could last 2 minutes or more suddenly lasts 2 seconds.
If you are using BBQ get rid of it, is worthless on Myers, there are much better detection perks for him like Thrilling Tremors or Discordance.
Ruin is also not very good for it works better in the early game with high pressuring Killers, something that Myers sucks at, PGTW works much better.
-
Corrupt Intervention is better for Killers that require setup or start slow like Hag, Trapper, Myers and Jigsaw, Lethal Pursuer is better for Killers that require Survivors to fuel their power or gotta go fast like Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Blight and Plague.
-
Some of the weaker Hexes could become normal perks but there should be a way to get rid of their effects.
For example Third Seal is not very good and it could become a non-hex but they have to give the Survivors a way to get rid of their effect, maybe by getting healed, or fixing a gen for X amount of time or something else.
Others like Ruin, DH, NOED, Plaything or Crowd Control cant be made into normal perks without gutting them.
-
Then youll downrank your MMR until you get people who are more close to what you should face, its a multiplayer game where 2 teams opose eachother, if the reward for getting better is having easier matches against the people you already beat it would be very unfair to the other team, why should they keep playing against someone who already beaten them badly? where is their reward of having easier matches?.
Onto the topic, if you have problems with gens yes, run 1 perk of gen stalling but since we didnt see any of your games, we dont know what Killer you play, your build or what mistakes you are making the advice is going to be really really vague, this game has a ton of variables and not everything works for every Killer but if you believe gens are your problem then, depending on the Killer, run PGTW OR Ruin (dont run both) and one detection perk (most people uses BBQ but it can be awful for certain Killers).

You must be new here.. Remember, they very rarely change anything from ptb to live. The devs and mods have even stated that by the time the ptb goes live the update is already finalized, the changes they make are minimal.
Not true, some stuff does get changed before going live, some examples are Lucky Break, Trickster, Surveillance, Hangman's Trick, Blight, Hillbilly etc and Im 99% sure Circle of Healing will be changed because right now is completely broken, it may go live being strong or weak but its not going to be as strong as it is right now.
-
Your reward for improving is you get to play against better players which in turn are harder challenges, if you get better you get to play with even tougher people. Games are fun as long as they keep being a bit challenging, curbstomping all your matches is fun for a while but it becomes boring fast after a while, same as getting demolished over and over.
Its the only kind of reward this game (or any game at all) can offer since most players will never ever be able to get to the big reward, becoming a profesional who gets paid for playing a game/sport.
-
Wouldnt work, SWF giving less BPs than Solo could earn you same or more in the long run in the form of longer, more fruitful matches.
You get a good match as Solo and get 18k which turn into 36k then you get 3 matches where you are the only one fixing gens so you get found first, get hooked and you see 3 bots on the corners of the map self-caring and you barely get to 7k which turn into 14k.
While on a decent SWF you get 18k, 18k, 21k, 15k, 19k, 18k etc on the long run you get more BPs and less stress plus coordinated BPS from your friends.
Even if you triple the BPs, people who play with their friends are more interested on playing with them than BPs.

Badly Broken Gens and Generator Parts
- A few generators in every trial are randomly in worse condition than regular broken generators, and require a longer repair time with more difficult skill checks.
- Survivors can scavenge generator parts around the map. The right part can turn a badly broken generator into a regular broken generator, and instantly provides something like 20% progress to make up some scavenge time.
- The parts should never spawn close to the generator they fix, to avoid accidentally helping the gen-rush with lucky spawns.
- The amount of badly broken generators can be different for each killer according to their capacity for map pressure.
Problem with all those changes is they are forced onto the gens with no way to bypass them and you may say "yes, I want gen speed increased" but that brings another problem, facecamping would be orders of magnitude stronger than it is now since the only real counter is to genrush so then they have to nerf facecamping either with a new mechanic or slowing timers on hook but then gen speeds will feel too fast again then they increase it, then facecamp etcetcetc, its a vicious circle.
On the other hand, you can increase gen times and change the mechanic around hooks but that means changing a core design which is very dificult per se and may bring unexpected forms of abuse from both sides which in turn will need aditional patches to refine to reach a good point, plus really big changes in games may kill them by alienating the playerbase (has happened to a lot before).
What the devs are trying lately with gen timers is leave them as they are but trying to give Survivors something else to do that may be worthwhile doing, they tried with Elodie perks and failed miserably, searching chests is pointless with how time consuming it is and how little reward they usually give, they tried the "Clown Army" approach, give Survivors tools to mess around with Leon and Jill perks, worked a bit better but still not many people care about Flash Bang, Blast Mine or stealth stuff, then they put Pinhead and Hex: Plaything which forces them to go hunt a totem, this perk is pretty much designed to make people waste time, thats why the lit totem ends up showing the aura so the Survivor feels enticed to cleanse it, good players with Spine Chill are barely affected by Oblivious but if even they may go after the totem if they see its aura after some time.
Now they are trying with Boons (wasting time sarching a Totem, blessing it, going back to gen) which may or not may succeed but if they are too weak then you get back to square 1, which is old meta perks and slam gens while someone loops the Killer and 80% of matches get decided by how fast the first and second person go down.
P.D. before you all go bonkers and call me biased, Circle of Healing needs changes, its way too busted especially on SWFs who will abuse the hell out of that 4 second healing, especially since you can body block the Killer and stop him from reaching the Totem, Shadowstep cant comment, didnt try it enough, in some maps looks devastating (The Game, Lery's) and in others is absolute garbage (Swamp, Red Forest), it may need tunning on both ends.
-
Judith's Journal hasnt changed, it just words how much it increases stalking speed, you could always change Obssession with stuff like Decisive Strike, Nemesis etc and it would give you increased stalking speed.
-
David looks bloated and nothing like David, Kate looks she had way too much plastic surgery, Quentin looks made of wax, Jake looks way too "CoD main characterish" if thats even a term, Nea eyes look weird, Feng is ok.
-
"How about you try it first before panicking that everything is OP"
And losing a tradition on this forums? nah...
-
My guess is if they changed the names is because they had to, maybe there was a clause like "if the license is lost you keep the game mechanics of the perk and change everything else about them" maybe that everything covers even the name or maybe not but BHVR prefers to err on the safe side than to risk a lawsuit, which is the smart move imo, legal trouble, especially trademarks/licenses/copyrights, can be crippling for a company.
-
I smell a legendary auric-cell only skin in the making.
-
I find weird Amanda's Secret wasnt reworked, right now is probably her worst addon plus one of the most expensive.
-
Moris, before the rework you saw a hidden offering you knew you were heading towards an unwinable match because someone would get tunneled out before 2 gens were done.
-
Cant really say much, Workshop Grease is old Video Tape, Jigsaw's Sketch looks good but old Jigsaw's Sketch is already one of the good addons, new Video Tape is much better than both current Iridiscents but looks like you will start without traps and is just having a massive early stall vs having midgame stall, it may work as a substitute to Corrupt Intervention tho.
Unless they show what they did to the worse addons I cant really judge the result.
-
@DoomedMind said:
Well no, in team it will be unleashed, imagine 4 green toolboxes (the one with 32 charges) with repairing speed add-ons, and Prove Thyself. After completing your gen in 25-30 seconds, you go in a locker, then go on another gen, and repeat.
Also I think the toolboxes would have enough charges to not be depleted so... You can probably do almost 2 gens if you're with someone doing the same thing.
You still lose 2 seconds of progress with a commodious (the most effective one with new BTL) for antyhing like what you suggest to actually benefit Survivors they would need for all to spawn at the same place, with a Commodious with charge addons and everyone using BTL and even with such setup IF you manage to pull it off you only shave 6 seconds per person in an optimal way which is impossible since you still have to find 4 lockers, everyone get inside, get outside and walk to a gen which will, in most cases, take more than 6 seconds.
New BTL is actually a nerf in regards to toolboxes.
-
I underestand their fears, Boon Totems are something new and unknow and people tend to be a bit uneasy around stuff they dont know also Behaviour has a track record of putting things on the game that are a chore to deal with or very unfun/broken and being very pigheaded about changing them back (for both sides).
If Boon Totems are a pain in the butt to deal with as Killer or very broken its going to take them several months to start tweaking them making the game worse during that time, examples of this happened with MoM, Undying and Twins.
-
Nah new BTL is only worthwhile with purple, yellow and green+charge addons medkits, with anything else you either dont gain any significant time (toolboxes) or items rarely go out of charges (maps and keys). If you use new BTL with a toolbox unless its a commodious stacked with charge addons you are actually helping the Killer because it takes more time to refill them than said toolboxes shorten gen timers.
People are overreacting as always, Lucky Break, For the People, Soul Guard, Desperate Measures, Fast Track and Any Means Necessary were going to break the game and be so unbeliable broken that all Killer mains would be forced to quit the game or switch to Survivor because BHVR doesnt know anything yaddayaddayadda... in the end all those perks were pretty bad and not usable outside of memeing or extremely niche situations where you got to use them once every 20 games.
P.D. even with the medkits is not really that good, sure you can have a purple one with charge addons and with new BTL you can get up to ~6 heals but lets be honest, how many times people get to use a medkit that many times? in the end 6 charges on a medkit are only useful if the Killer smacks people and breaks chase on a continous basis, which isnt very common nor a great strategy.
-
"Pig players: How useless are her Add-ons currently?"
Jigsaw has a few very good addons that have inmense synergy between them and then she has a lot of rubbish that have 0 effect or are even detrimental, examples of these are the skillcheck in boxes (missing them is super rare as decent player and great do speed up the search), Amanda's Secret is literally useless, cant think of any time Ive used it and has served any purpose, the status ones are also rather meh except the Exhausted one, both Iridiscent are bad, Rules Set makes Survivors focus on gens and Amanda's Letter is just for hook camping and if you are going for that may aswell play Leatherface with Insidious.
-
@Mat_Sella said:
4 SWF survivors all bring medkits, killer currently has massive pressure. All survivors decide to reset and heal with their medkits.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
The survivors win.
For that to happen the Killer should be splitting the damage into 4 people without hooking anyone which is very rare and a bad strategy overall unless you are Legion.
Also a SWF doesnt even need to use them, medkit main strength is it negates the time you waste looking for someone to heal you which coms already do "im hurt in shack gen, someone come heal me and help me finish this" and as I already said in the thread, is very rare for a purple medkit stacked with all charged to actually get empty, if you want a second purple medkit is much better to just bring a stacked one and a meta perk instead of a regular purple and new BTL.
-
Yeah new BTL with toolboxes is actually damaging to your team but a lot of people are flipping their minds because they didnt even stop for a second to do the math.
With Medkits may be worthwhile with yellow, purple and green with charge addons.
-
@Adeloo said:
i'm less worried about the toolboxes than about the medkit. Right now it's already possible to bring a medkit and get 2-3 heals out of it. With a special build it goes up to 4-5, with this new version of Build to Last, i don't want to think about it.
Medkits are the strongest items of the game (after keys but hey they are nerfing them), you can use them to deny the killer pressure. Being able to self-heal 4-5 times during a game is huge. So until i see how it plays in the PTB i'm a bit scared.
Doesnt really matter, you rarely get to heal yourself or others more than 4 or 5 times in a normal match. I rarely do unless the Killer is going overboard with split pressure with the hits (which is already a risky tactic in most Killers).

Not at all, when the killer knows where the hatch is, they know if they can reach it before the survivor is considered dead. Getting to the hatch nearly guarantees you can shut it regardless of whether the survivor hangs around it or not. Now I don't have that choice of finding the hatch while you still get to play the game. If I want to guarantee you don't get it, I can no longer just look for it, I have to slug you. Especially with the fact that the hatch still spawns invisible in matches and you can find it by walking over it, which is a hell of a lot easier as survivor.
Nah a lot of Killers slug anyway if they see the doors are too far away and they have low mobility because the last pesky Survivor may be able to open them after EGC has started.

The Interlocking Razor is complete trash. Who misses skill checks on Jigsaw boxes?
The other two I like.
Its a brown addon after all, they are supposed to be weak.
-
Actually the new version is a detriment to the team in most situations.
Any toolbox shaves less time than it takes to refill, Commodius toolboxes (the most efficient ones, even more than purples) save 10 seconds tops and it takes 12 seconds to refill, you lose 2 seconds (even more since you have to actually walk to a locker and then walk to a gen).
Maps wont benefit, you rarely run out of charges and they are used mostly to track totems in totem hunting builds, by the time you would run out of charges totems are long gone.
Keys only blood amber may benefit since its the strongest aura reading of all, the rest are meh and not worthy of wasting 12 seconds on a locker.
Flashlights rarely run out of charges unless you are there just to annoy the killer and spam them and people that sweaty will still run meta perks because they are stronger.
Medkits are the only interaction where you may see some utility albeit not with all of them. greens and browns have 16 charges which are a health state, if you refill them they get 15,6 charges, which isnt enough to heal yourself, using that 99% heal on others speeds a green medkit heal up to ~12 seconds (the amount it takes to refill it), only yellow and purples benefit from it.
The only use this new version has are with purple, yellow or green full of charge addons medkits and toolboxes full of charge addons and even with that is not even that great, a purple box with both charge addons saves 18 seconds, you refill it you get roughly 18 seconds again but it took you 12 seconds on a locker to refill it AND you still have to walk to a locker, get inside, get out and walk to a gen, the optimal net gain is 6 seconds but it will never be optimal also you refill it again you are already losing time since second time gives only 66% charges, so you need a rare item, 2 perishable addons and a perk to save a whoopity 6 seconds off a gen.
Sure you can go full item efficiency build, streetwise, build to last, best addons etc but you are making a build dedicated to something that will save around 10 or 15 seconds of working on a gen and at the cost of having to opt out of 2 or 3 meta perks.

That's the thing in the morning over 50% of player are either in school or at work making swf less likely so more survivor "mains" are willed to play killer while some killer "mains" also still play but both groups have to make do with the smaller amount of survivor ready thanks to the reasoning above.
And then you have evening/night time aka prime time when the biggest number of players is available and killer queue is close to instant which goes to show that overall the percentage of killer "mains" is less than the necessary 20% for the 4:1 ratio.
Also a fun fact is that most killer achievement in steam have a less than 10% completion rate showing even worse ratios. The most common killer achievement of playing a round with a full load out has a roughly 50% achieved rate while for example i managed to obtain the "hit 30 times with blight rush in public games" and that has a (i guess PC exclusive since it steam) has been done by hilarious 1,7%.

And that is not the only one. Here are some others (glowing achievements have been obtained by less than 10% of the global steam community)

Left to right: adept spirit (1,5%); adept pH (0,8%); 25 gen Fraps (2,5%); hook before first gen (12,1%); adept gf (1,2%); adept legion (1,5%) and adept nurse (1,9%).

For comparison the most obtained survivor adepts are meg at 8,6% and adept Claudette at 9,0%.
And for general information the most obtained achievement is "Zealous" (get more than 8k BP in one categorit) with 53% and "it wakes" (level a character to level 10) with 52,4%. Showing that close to half of all accounts owning the game have never really played and all percentages wouldve to be doubled to roughly represent the state of the active community.
Achievements are one of the worst indicators about people playing this game since global achievements take on account people who bought the game and didnt play it for more than 1 hour, people who bought it in 2016 and moved on in 2018, people who got it gifted or in a bundle and didnt even install it, people who play regularly but dont buy certain DLCs (I dont own Twins or Leatherface)
Not only that, Killer and Survivor achievements are not really relatable for example Survivor adepts are MUCH MUCH easier than Killer ones and you should compare stuff that was released roughly at the same time, Felix adept has 1% completion while Blight has a 0'7% completion, but since you need 4 times more Survivors Felix should have 2,8% completion (0'7*4=2,8), Yun Jin has 0'8% completion, Trickster has 0'6, same logic Yun Jin should have 2,4% also add into the mix Trickster is arguably one of the weakest most map dependant Killers with perks that have awful synergy with him.
TLDR, Achievements are useless to gather any kind of data except how many people played the game for more than a few hours.
