Hex Totem Burn on The First of Game

Is this some kind of a bug, i play as killer and not have hook any survivor but my devour hope already cleansed. Strange??

    Not that rare, first of all you dont say how much time it took you to down someone, if it took 3 minutes or 15 seconds, second, Killers have been relying too much on the combo Ruin+Undying so a lot of the Survivors either run a Totem detection perk or check the usual spots right at the start because they have adapted and third you may have a string of very bad spawn points which makes Hexes last too little.

    damn this is devour hope totem. it will burning after survivor unhook some of their friend 24 meter aways from killer. What the hell is this totem burning on the first of the match. this is not ruin or any other totem

    All hexes burn immediately. New to the game?
