  • Tossing my hat in for the clown.

I like when I toss a bottle and the survivor just swerves away from the gas entirely. You really have to end chase quick with him but with the right amount of hustle he's not too shabby.

I like his simplicity though. No gimmicks. No traps. Just a man and his bottle. Honk honk.

  • Doctor and Spirit: You know that feeling you get when you think "Okay I can do one more loop." No. Drop the pallet. Right then.

At the killer shack? Spirit phasing? Drop that pallet.

You can treat the doctor like a normal M1 killer looping wise, you just have to play it safe and drop the pallet a little sooner than you normally would (assuming you know how to run tiles).

You used to get body blocked by a phasing spirit, but now you don't have to worry about that. Run to a loop, then immediately avoid it and run to another position. Keep her guessing.

No matter what you do, you'll probably go down eventually just due to the nature of the game, but if you can just keep doing that, the other survivors will have time to crouch in the corner and self care. Er, I mean, do generators.

A lot of it comes from game sense. As a killer you recognize plays that you saw, but the more you play survivors you'll see a lot more that you didn't see before. Maybe put on Bond so you can watch your teammates stare directly at a box for minutes at a time. Er, I mean, juke the killer.

    Hope that helps.

  • Same. I'm doing the hatch challenge now using plunderers instinct. Do I have like 15 keys? Yes, but I don't want to use them.

My matches go (Did Plunderers give me key?) -> (Okay, can I find the hatch?) = no. You can't.

Rinse repeat. I'm getting some neat toys out of it but when Tome 4 comes out and if I still don't have it, I'm skippin it or making it a background play challenge.

  • I just use Dead Hard to get a little more distance to a pallet. Using it to dodge a killer's hit tremendously increases your chances of spasming on the floor and getting the exhausted debuff.

  • It's fine. You need a Merciless Victory, all 4 iri emblems, and all 4 survivors dead using only your 3 teachable perks.

If you're missing Gatekeeper that means the generators got done too quick.

If you're missing Devout that means you didn't kill all 4.

If you're missing the 3rd or 4th emblem it's because you need to hit and chase them more. For killers with one shot downs this is a unique problem, especially for plague, because they cut chases really, really short.

For Wraith though, just get away from the hook and down healthy survivors. I believe in you.

  • I like imagining every trial as an ongoing story, so I try to give everything done some purpose.

I also like bringing perks a lot of people don't expect. Lately it's deliverance but sometimes a pebble or cruel limits can really catch people off guard. I find those moments entertaining.

  • I like Trapper because he was my first and made me decide I liked the game enough to keep playing. Trapper is played against so rarely nowadays nobody knows about his common trap locations and he can shut down games in minutes sometimes.

Clown is my favorite right now though. No gimmicks. Just walk forward, throw bottle. Hit M1. It's simple but I like it.

  • I've been fighting rank 13s and rank 1s tonight, and my survivor teams have been pretty good at landing on the hook. It's not just you. Tonight's one of those nights lol.

  • Just to be blunt, consoles come out with a new generation every 3 or 4 years. When you buy the next generation console your current one will likely stop being supported.

If Behavior wants to keep you guys on board before the next Switch or PS5 or whatever comes out, they need crossplay.

  • David. No Mither every match. He has dead hard sure but he can't use WGLF because he can't really take protection hits or go for unhooks so...yeah.

I expected less than positive responses. But for the most part, everybody has not scolded me for what I said. Thank you.

You're welcome now let me lick your eyeball.

Nah. If you look past the drama, a lot of people are pretty chill in and around spidermurdergame. A lot of people have agendas, so they'll be as dramatic as possible. I just want to meme.

  • My favorite Wraith build? Distressing Play with your food, brutal strength and enduring. Add ons "The Beast" - Soot and Bone Clapper

Never stop ringing your bell the entire match. Ever. Even in chase.

    It's surprisingly effective.

  • Decisive is actually really good because it teaches killers the value of slugging. Just leave the dude on the ground for a minute. One of the survivors on the generator has to come get him, and you can chase someone else.

Flashlights used to serve a similar purpose but they're so weak nobody really uses them now. (be honest) It's exactly the same as someone being in position for a flashlight save. Ya dun gone picked up that survivor real quick and didn't think about it for a second, now you're in the chase phase again.

Having someone on a hook, someone slugged, and currently being in a chase with someone is a very strong position to be in. Learn it. Use it.

  • I still use Ruin on some of my killers. It still gets survivors out there looking for it, and it does chip away at generators over time. If I start a chase with the gen jockey and nobody goes behind him for a lil bit, gen is ded. Didn't even have to think about kicking it.

That would make it pretty nasty if they couldn't do anything about it. What should they do? Push the gen or go save their buddy? Oh no it's my terror radius, but if I run away and crouch my gen will regress, what do I do? I need to find the totem!

I dunno. A lot of veteran survivors just hit great skill checks all the time anyway. I'm okay with it as it is, but for some reason people like the red circle.

  • As a hybrid I caution against listening to me all the time. I may be memeing.

The way I see it though, if you play only survivor or only killer, you're only playing half the game, and playing one role makes you better at the other.

I do try to legit help where I can though. My heart's in the right place. *click click click throws hatchet*

  • Seemed like a pretty legit match to me.

Can we talk about the map drop though? Is that the new meta? What a power move.

    Clarification edit:

Ya dropped the map, then the map dropped you. LULZ

  • There is! It took me a minute to figure this one out. So, you can't click the top right profile icon on mobile, but if you click your profile picture in a thread. (Like say, the Legion next to your name in this thread) It'll open up your profile.

This is not an actual mechanic. She lied to you.

I can't believe a killer would do that to a survivor.

Just going around and telling lies to newbies :'(

  • I want an exit gate made of flesh that tears away after you power the exit gate.

Just an entity themed level where the floor is flesh and those corrupted pustula plants are everywhere.

Like the entity just wasn't in the mood to create a level this time and just decided to put you on the dinnerplate directly.

  • Lerys and Hawkins both sides. Even if I know a generator is there as killer I'm going to pick the wrong way into the room and bounce against the walls at least three times like a moth before I figure out the way in.

Survivor I just end up wasting time wandering trying to find the last few generators. First ones are generally fine but then you get the ones that are just well hidden.

Most other maps have lights outside so at a glance you can tell if things are on or not. Indoor buildings its a coin toss.

  • I always go for it. I'm at the point in the game where I don't really care if I die. I don't die needlessly mind you, but if I think there's a 1% chance to break the noed totem and go for the save I'll try it.

Unless I'm on a mission that requires me to escape. I'll remember ya little buddy. Fly little shadow thing flyyy be free!

  • Thanks fam. It was back in yonder day when the only pip requirement for survivor was getting 10k points in a match. Rest assured hundreds of hours later I am still trash.

  • Hillbilly when he chainsawed too hard and yeeted into the sky. It just kinda...died.

  • Our internet dolls waiting for us to interact with them. (They're not dolls mom they're internet action figures! Violent killers and super survivors!)

@Peanits said DBD was a poo poo game on stream. >:(

This is simply a joke thread, please don't take it seriously.

Derp by Daylight is an incredibly serious and immersive experience.

I'm afraid I must banish you to the meme zone.

Honestly, the whole Shrine of Secrets idea needs to be scrapped. It feels very scummy and manipulative when certain licensed character perks just happen to show up on the shrine very rarely. I own all the DLCs, but I feel awful for anyone waiting on something to show up in the shrine.

Just make it a consistent shop- buy any perk, any time, for 2k. Hell, make it 3 or 4k and have the shrine be for perk "sales". But let people consistently unlock gameplay relevant content.

    Devs hire this man.

  • Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Killers used to have to pay for hag to get ruin (nobody ever plays hag)

Unless you really wanna wait for ds to show up in the shop thats still a big deal to have available to you. It can be the difference between life and death.

The default killers and survivors are strong yes, but if you want to go meta real quick you're probably throwing down money.

That said its nothing like Maplestory or black desert online. Once you get the perk its just outfits and whatever.

  • You want discordance at level 1.

Just trust me. Truuuust me. I'm trustworthy.

  • Probably laugh irl and move on to the next match.

My chats are generally kind since I'm a memelord but I do tend to fan the flames and antagonize if I think it'll produce funny results.

  • If it doesn't have a lore note attached I skip egc challenges. Like if I have no other challenge for killer to do I'll pop it on but its not reliable y'know?

  • I dunno man. Steve already gets all the chicks. If you change his perks he might become truly unstoppable. No ones going to even want to hit him. Matches will just be Steve standing in the center of the map while the other 4 in the trial give him all of their bloodpoints.

    Is that what you want?

God. Don't get me started on if there are TWO Steves.

(Would be nice to see more Steve perks out there though. No one uses them.)

  • Same. My killers fight the entity and spare often. Into the hatch they go.

  • DS is nice when you're trying to play seriously.

You'll notice a pattern. New killers will hook and camp, gens will get done, they'll find the role unfun and complain.

It's cause you're just standing there or doing laps.

Who cares if a survivor gets rescued and healed. They're off gens for at minimum 30 seconds. When they don't heal you know they're going for gens and you need to check the 2 closest gens to that hook.

I dunno I feel like its hard to explain. I'm too much of a memelord to be a teacher too.

  • FIRST ONE IN LAST ONE OUT.

BORROWED TIME MAKES THE KILLER POUT.

    DWIGHT DWIGHT STAY AND FIGHT

    RESCUE EVERYONE DAY AND NIGHT.

PIZZAWHAT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR FOREVER.

  • I hope the devs never add a killer that can come around the corner and shoot survivors teabagging at the exit gates and pull them out.

That would be a real shame.

(Crouching and nodding your head is much more efficient at the exit gates btw)

  • The only battlepass I'm gonna buy is the summer beach bod battlepass with lots of cleavage from both kate and clown.

A little shards won't hurt anyone unless you step on them.

  • You generate a lot of pressure from slugging. Its actually really helpful. Also sometimes when I don't have ds I jump into a locker anyway to make killers ignore me. Its really effective. Sometimes it works every time!

I know tunneling the weak link out seems like a good idea but let them go. They'll be easy to catch later. Its the gen jockey you need to get on that hook asap.

    Theres never enough time. Ever.

But I believe you can get those phase hits. You got this.

I did the deed! I deleted all the survivors too fast though so I had to meme a bit to get the phase hits.

10 second chase with claudie, haunted grounds got popped. Bill bit the dust, then meg came to help the 2 in the basement, got nommed hard.

Jane came in last and didn't want to meme around so she volunteered for hook duty, but during the memes I just started phase attacking them while they healed. Then they all died and I let Meg escape. Was a thrilling few minutes!

Edit: Tomorrow it is time for some Solidarity. (I...I'm totally a survivor main guys. I have Dwight as my profile, and has nothing to do with him being an absolute legend.) It's just healing someone, but we'll see how it goes.

    Totallyasurvivormain.png

  • I thought dead hard just made you have a seizure on the ground after the killer hit you. So you can die harder. Exhausted.

Memes aside hits usually give priority to the killer. For this one special instance give to the survivor. Heck, let the survivor make the 'I'm about to faceplant and everyone in the match needs to know it' scream play but let dead hard take priority.

Also if I'm more than 4 feet away from a vault please stop letting killers throw their weapon at me kthx.

  • Pretty good. Today was a pretty good day of memeposting. Stocks went up by 1% and I made some progress on this and that.

I actually haven't played today due to time. (There is really never enough time.) I've been working on projects and earning money.

Tonight though I need to hit 2 people out of phase with the spirit. I don't think that'll be too bad but it's a thing.

  • I'm not a fan of facing the Iri heads. I don't think anyone is. If I was to nerf it I would make it like the Deathslinger's ultra rare.

If you hit your target from 15 meters away or more they go down instantly.

    There. Perfect.

  • I play a lot of other games, but this one's fun. It's evolving, sure, but the core premise is still the same. 5 players enter the same match and all find new and exciting ways to hate each other.

That's pretty timeless if you ask me.

  • I got shot.

  • Neither. Snowball potential and map size are the two big ones.

If someone disconnects or dies early on, survivors are at a big disadvantage. If everyone gets 2 hooked the killer is probably going to lose. There needs to be that feeling of hope that if 2 survivors are left they can turn it around, and if all 4 are alive and 1 gen is left there's still a winning chance to kill them all.

  • Memepost on the forums or watch YouTube videos with my mouse hovering over dead by daylight icon so I can see when it pops me in a lobby.

Queues are usually only 2mins tops when I play though.

  • I like clicking left mouse button and watching the person fall down.

  • I'm on PC. You get a wide range of survivors. I'm gonna echo someone else and agree that it's map size.

Not everyone can be a rank 1 killer. Everything is on you all the time. You get zero help.

If you want rank 1 killer for the achievement though? Level up doc, get 100 the game offerings and 100 calm add ons and just mop up survivors. There are ways to cheese it.

Shockwave every time it comes off cool down. Its amazing.

But in general you have to remember its another person on their computer playing that survivor. Watch them play, see if they react to things. Get in their heads.

Survivors will even give you free sacrifices if you're having a bad day. It's not the uphill slope some make it out to be.

  • I like him a lot. I have no idea if I'll actually be good when playing as him but if I can manage my aim there's going to be a lot of fun to be had.

I'm trying to figure out how to even loop a deadeye outlaw. Even the shack is gonna be risky. If you break away from the loop to throw off his aim he'll catch up but if you do it normally he has a straight shot on you.

    Definitely the thinking mans killer.

  • Here's my thing, and its going to be an unpopular opinion, but if survivors are not on a generator and following me around doing hooks, that's just like someone trying to play flashlight hero.

Just go after the cheeky saboteur hang him up. If necessary leave someone else slugged. That means someone else has to come off a generator to go get him.

    Its what, 30 seconds? Meh.
