I'm pretty sure the only reason Trickster is doing so well is because he's new and hot. Nothing about his mori is good, especially compared to Oni, Spirit, Hag, Legion, or the other awesome moris in game
-
Claudette, because I'm also a science major in college. I also like Felix because I speak German.
Pig is the first Killer I main'd and I still love her, fun gameplay and SAW is my favorite horror movie franchise. Blight is by far my favorite from lore though, his story is amazing.
-
...I was a bit of a scumbag getting it. This was way back when I was trying my hardest for every achievement, what I did was wait for a game where there was 1 gen left and me w/another Survivor. I'd 99 all the gens and wait for the other Survivor to get caught and killed, then as soon as they died I popped the gen, opened a gate and leave. Only worked once, where it was a Huntress on Lery's with the doors miles apart. I waited till she left one door then opened it and left right as she got back.
-
A. Deathslinger
B. Ghostface
C. Hag
D. Oni
E. Spirit
F. Trickster
I love violent moris, but the showmanship and narcissism that Trickster and Ghostface have is really good too. Of these six my favorite is probably Spirit's.

None, every perk in the game can stay but needs to be buffed or nerfed so no perk is oppressive and they're all at least a little viable.
Object of Obsession, DS, Unbreakable, and BT need nerfs in one way or another (I'm really excited for the DS nerf, I think this will be the one that'll finally balance it out). Alternatively, perks like Vigil, Up The Ante, No Mither, and Boil Over (there's a lot more but these are my pet peeves) need buffs to be more viable.
Same goes for Killers- perks like NOED or Ruin could use some nerfs/rebalancing, but there's still a lot of perks (Gearhead, Beast of Prey, Cruel Limits, etc.) that need a lot of help too.

Expectation is not the same as an official release date though (Don't get me wrong, I understand what your saying, but "delayed" is not accurate in this case).
At this point you're arguing over a technicality. I'm not taking sides but at this point the one sure thing we can all expect is BHVR letting us down over and over again.

This perk will be most likely used with Agitation, Mad Grit and Iron Grasp for memes, I cannot see it in an actuall game tbh.
I'll be using this build, but swapping Mad Grit for Hangman's Trick- seeing auras will be much more useful than spamming attacks, since I can reliably apply Exposed that way.
-
I'm excited for everything in this chapter BUT Trickster.
New Survivor and Killer Perks? Look like fun, some might even be viable!
DS Nerf? Thank god.
Wraith buffs? Hell yeah.
Blight POV fix? Bless you BHVR.
But Trickster himself? Flaming garbage, needs buffs asap.
-
Any level, but you have to meet some requirements:
1st, make sure you've leveled up Claudette to at least Lvl. 40
2nd, buy Self-Care as a teachable in Claudette's Bloodweb. It should show the perk in orange. Once done, it'll spawn in every Survivor's Bloodweb.
3rd, start grinding Kate's Bloodweb until you get it. It might take a while due to the RNG of what spawns in the web, and you'll have to buy it multiple times to max out its effectiveness, but you'll get it!
EDIT: Spelling
-
This is nothing compared to some of the harder challenges ingame- I think I spent more time on Left Behind than over half of all other achievements. I pretty much had to half-throw to get the achievement, and play like a Blendette until the last guy died (I 99'd 2 of the last 3 gens before it happened).
If this is a problem on BHVR's end, shame on them. Then again, this is the same group that keeps Killers like Twins, Clown, and Legion super weak, allows both sides to have unfun perks like DS or NOED, and take weeks to make the smallest of changes. I wouldn't hold my breath for achievements anytime soon.

So I had a fun idea since I've seen a lot of people want to take a break lately here's a good game answer these questions as honest as possible
1. Survivor you would send to the void
2. Killer you would send to the void
3. Killer main
4. Survivor main
5. Would you like to play as the entity in a trial?
6. Most hated killer and why
7. Most hated survivor and why
8. Huntress or Death slinger
9. Favourite Hex
10. Favourite perk killer or survivor
Have fun and remember we're all stuck in the fog together so play nice.
- Quentin
- Plague
- Initially Pig, now its probably Hag
- Kate
- Probably not, I like a challenge from time to time. Would be nice against death squads though.
- Bubba, 2 out of 3 times when I go against Bubba they're terrible and resort to the most annoying tactics (like facecamping), not to mention they're the Killer most likely to bring perks like NOED or Insidious (in my experience).
- Feng- she's everywhere in this game, I see her more than the default survivors. Not to mention I never know if they're gonna play like they have 5000 hours or 5 seconds in game experience.
- Deathslinger, my FPS days are relived through him.
- Right now its Retribution, but I have high hopes for Crowd Control when it comes out.
- Survivor perk would have to be Autodidact, bc it counters (and in some cases is aided) by all anti-heal perks. For Killer it'd probably be Dark Devotion, I can always trick Survivors with it no matter their experience ingame.

Imagine being so petty over a optional video game character.
Spirit and Blight aren't my personal favorites, but at least I give them their positives and respect their existence for their fans.
The problem is that Trickster has no positives. I respect that people like K-Pop, but unless they're also masochists this Killer isn't gonna se much play till BHVR does something good (not like his last 'buff').
-
You just have to get good. It sounds rude, but the better you get the less you'll get bullied or crushed when dealing with those problems.
Alternatively, when it gets too much for me I like to run the most toxic build I can. My best Killer (Hag or Spirit) with a Memento Mori, OP addons, NOED, Franklin's, Devour Hope and Corrupt (I like the time it buys me). Not a guaranteed win but its refreshing, albeit toxic, to hurt Survivors the way they hurt me.

YOUR BETA TESTERS !
We are players that have bought the game and we deserve quality. PTB is the platform where you can test your new features but the normal game should never be considered as a test playground.
We have paid the game, the full game to play it and enjoy it. So we deserve a few things :
- that you listen to the community when we tell you something, but seeing the state of the game you don't listen much...
- that everything works fine when you release a patch or a new feature
- that you don't change our game experience with your tests
Hire Beta tester as developers were doing 20 years ago or use your PTB.
3 things:
- EULA means you have to play the way they set. If you don't like it, don't play. Otherwise you're as much a 'sheep' as the rest of us.
- Have you seen how the devs treat the PTB? The last time they made a good change to something big was making Ghostface more difficult to reveal. Any MMR testing would be completely useless.
- Finally, people play the PTB inconsistently and there's only a significant number of players with a big update (usually a new Chapter or Killer rework). Results from the MMR test will be skewed and again, useless.
Honorable Mention: The test is only for 24hrs, if you hate it that much you can wait a day.

That's not really the truth.
Basically as McLean told it on stream once (shortly after Scott Jund made his big video about the topic back in July), the issue is that when DbD was originally conceived they relied heavily on Unreal Engine Blueprints to run the game's various functions. It was fine at first, but as time went on, these Blueprints became too restrictive for what they wanted to do with the game (and maybe too cumbersome?). So they started converting said Blueprints into C++, a process that's likely still going on to this day. That process has been what has causing a lot of the issues.
I don't doubt that some problems can be chalked up to Blueprint spaghetti, and my interpretation could be off, but I think it's unfair to keep crying "spaghetti!" when none of us have actually worked on the programming of the game ourselves.
That's fair- can't be as critical when we're not the ones programming the game, but you can't deny that they could have done a smoother transition, or at least put in a health chapter or two to fix major issues in the game.

I meant for baiting a hit- which is what DH was originally intended for. Ofc you can gain distance, and sometimes you'll get enough for the next pallet, but yeah its not as powerful once the Killer knows you have it.
You want real distance, use any other Exhaustion perk besides Head On.

Depends on the Killer, but my all time most hated maps are Haddonfield, the new Meat Plant/Game, and the Swamp maps.

Why? I have played for 5 hours today and every single game I have gotten tunneled. I’m just trying to get my adept. I don’t have decisive and I’m not planning on getting it either because it’s getting nerfed. I went from rank 3 to rank 7 in just one day and I just want to get 1 normal game. Please stop tunneling.
Murphy's Law- anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
If you try for an Adept Survivor you'll get a tunneling sweaty Killer, Adept Killer and its a 4 man toxic SWF SEAL team.
Rift Challenge? Daily Ritual? Hard Achievements? Same always happens.
-
I'm always getting the sound bug of hearing sacrificed Survivors near the hook they died on, and occasionally I sometimes get Survivors who make no noise on the ground. But yesterday I got a really weird Killer sound problem- was playing against a Clown on Chapel and couldn't hear his TR all game. Not a status effect like Undetectable or Oblivious- I could always hear a heartbeat but he had no TR music, themed or otherwise. One of the weirdest bugs I've gotten in a game.
-
Killers are already careful about not getting stunned (unless they want to w/perks like Nemesis or Spirit Fury), if they realize you have Smash Hit they're not gonna let you use it so easily. It's like Dead Hard or Head On- once you show it, a good Killer will almost never fall for it again in that match.
-
If I run Self-Care, I never run it alone. During the challenge I had to use it I also threw on Botany Knowledge and Desperate Measures (sped up the heal speed so much) and I carried a medkit to heal me twice (almost 3 times with addons+efficency boosts from Self-Care and Botany Knowledge).

so uhh, why arent they fixing it?
I literally just got on the forums when you wrote this lol.
Basically it was a mess when they made it but 5 years and dozens of fixes, updates, and versions later it compounded to an even larger mess. The longer thy go w/o fixing it the worse it gets.
-
BHVR also has a game where everything is essentially 'spaghetti code'- meaning one change can affect a slew of different functions, and like spaghetti its not neat and it can create a mess real quick. This is a big reason- and failure- why the devs take their time on updates, because their changes like this can quickly and easily break the game with hundreds of bugs.
-
I'm ok with it, I often watch the VODs to improve my gameplay. Only problem is when the streamer is an a-hole that insults me/gets salty afterwards. It rarely happens, but it does- I had a Fog Whisperer call me a dumb ######### in game because I kept taking protection hits- while running MoM, SG and a styptic. Real nice guy.

xQc is toxic at times, but he's a huge streamer that would bring a lot of attention to the game. The only problem I see is a big spike in toxicity- if you look at his audience a lot of them are pretty toxic.
-
Cursed Treasure is a lot like a pirate perk I designed a while back
Dead Man's Chest
Any Survivor that interacts with a chest will scream and reveal their location to the Killer. They will also be affected by the Exposed status effect as long as they are unlocking the chest, This effect persists for 10/15/20 seconds after unlocking/stopping to unlock a chest.

I'll do 5 from each side,
Killer:
- Corrupt Intervention- 2 minutes guaranteed slowdown, if you know what you're doing then no progress will occur in those two minutes. If its a Killer that needs to set up (EX: Ghostface, Hag, Trapper, Demo, etc) it really helps.
- Whispers- Best tracking perk in the game.
- BBQ&C- Ez BP and decent aura reading, at least encourages me not camp.
- Blood Echo- Fun perk and concept, I love denying those annoying Exhaustion perks.
- Starstruck- Its still super early in the PTB, but I love this. The snowball potential on a Killer like Nurse, Hag, or Spirit is insane, not to mention it triggers when another Survivor enters the TR, NOT when you immediately pickup. More perks need to be like this, where there a reduced or no cooldown if no effect is applied (looking at you, Dragon's Grip)
Survivor:
- Lithe- My Exhaustion perk of choice, works pretty well on almost every map and not as infuriating as DH is sometimes.
- Soul Guard- NOED counter and super useful to not get tunneled off the ground.
- Inner Strength- a self-heal that takes 8-10 seconds that's unaffected by perks like Dying Light or Colurophobia? Yes please.
- Deception- So fun to use and mess with Killers in a way that isn't spammed by the community (like having all meta perks in almost every game).
- Kindred- The BEST solo survivor perk. Tells you what teammates are doing, if the Killer is camping, and where to go next depending on what your teammate's actions are. IMO perks like Camaraderie should get the same treatment, but I digress.
-
I still have to get my Adept for them, I've been dreading to use them after their 100+ bugs and getting destroyed before and during release. I'll try them out though, maybe I'll get lucky. At least I'll derank to hopefully get to a good rank to try on the reset.
-
Hag has a unique playstyle that no other Killer matches. Even Trapper, whose power is the closest to hers, still has to chase and loop. Hag doesn't- chasing as a 110% killer will throw games. Since she can't use a fast movement ability (Nurse or Spirit) or use a ranged attack (Deathslinger, Huntress) her TP and individuality makes her one of the strongest killers in the game.
Plus, any Hag that places 5 traps near a hook is usually bad. You only need 1 good trap to make it work.
-
I play competitve when practicng for an achievement/daily/rift challenge. Otherwise I'm pretty chill, don't really go all out unless I' against players I know will be toxic.

Honestly with all the discussion about "blank" either being too weak or strong, let's just have a calm discussion on why you chose your main. Did you like how they looked, related to their backstory (this is concerning for killers), thought their perks were good, or specifically for killers, thought their power was cool or meta?
I'll go first, I've mained ever since Hillbilly shortly after the release of the console versions of dbd (I held back from buying it immediately since Friday was a thing). I've been following this game since Trapper was the only killer, so come time when Wraith and Hillbilly were released with the full game, I decided I would main Hillbilly out of the three, my decision didn't change even as more killers were released before the port to console and now while I do play other killers, Billy-boy will always be my number one.
The first Survivor I picked up was Claudette, though it was for her healing perks. I hate the immersed stereotype and never prestiged her to distance myself from that. I ended up going with Kate as my full main bc I like her backstory and design.
First Killer was Pig, who's fun but the stealth gameplay got boring after a while, especially with better stealth killers like Ghostface and arguably Myers. However when I really got good with Hag I loved her gameplay- not the traditional chasing that other Killers do, but instead setting up and ending chases before they begin. Makes me feel like a genius everytime I pull something like that off.

Hopefully the Devs are looking into the chapter as it has been a very controversial chapter. The perks are no where near as good and the killer is a cool concept but definitely needs another look at. Their power is great but the only way for it to be impactful is to camp (something that should only be done is certain situations).
For the most part, their perks got nerfed from PTB to live and it is very disappointing. It not that hard to buff them honestly. Hoarder should reveal auras and NOT the location. Opression’s Cooldown should definitely be lower, maybe 40-60 seconds. And Coup de Grâce should be, “gain a token per hook,” maximum of 8 tokens. The Twins and The Plauge are probably the most forgotten killers and definitely need to be looked at.
Personally I don't think Coup de Grace is that good. A better buff would be to have it work like Fire Up, where you get a token for each gen and each one increases your lunge slightly.
-
165/167
I'm only missing Adept Twins, which I'm waiting to do for rank reset, and Myers' 300 tier up achievement. I don't like playing Myers so eventually I'll sit down and grind some games out to get a bunch of tier ups.

Slugging for the 4k is petty. Who really cares, you won and you'd get more points for time invested by moving on to the next game, but you want to sweat for the 4k. In this same situation I try to hide as well, because you wasted my time, so I'm going to waste yours and try to deny you some points. Don't be a time waster and then cry that others are wasting your time.
I can't speak for all Killers, but if I'm having trouble finding someone I just give up and do other things for BP (use power, break walls/pallets, etc.). Die on the ground for all I care.

I heard it was inspired by a late 90's film called Perfect Blue, follows the plot of a singing star that turns to violent means to keep her fame.

I'm tired of original male killers. Of the last 11 killers, only one has been purely female (Legion and twins are split) -- Plague. The female killers tend to be the better killers, too.
This is a bit different- not saying women aren't as good as men when killing (equality for killers!) but for every 5-10 male killers theres only 1 female killer. Just look at serial killers- I can name a dozen male ones easily, but only a couple of female killers.

Got it on my second try, you just need to wait for a Killer that won't be a tunneler and who respects DS. I got one early with Unbreakable then picked 2 people off the ground with WGLF. Obviously I had Empathy, which made it easier to pick up slugs cause I saw where they went down, and finally I brought DS so there would be an Obsession and (hopefully) the Killer would respect it for everyone.

In the second example he left the hook entirely to check Generators and in the third he was simply chasing Survivors who didn't wait for him to even leave, they can't possibly be instances of camping if he's very blatantly doing other things. Even the first one is a bit iffy or at least 100% justified, since he really has nowhere else to be whatsoever (assuming EDC means the Endgame Collapse thing). Is it really "camping" to not walk into a corner and watch Survivors escape?
Unless the definition of camping is punishing dumb actions by Survivors who expect Killers to just let them speed by? Surely that's not right, but I have not been part of the community for long I suppose.
Yeah my bad, 2nd one isn't camping. The other 2 are though, since he's staying pretty close to the hook.

Jason obviously, FNAF if (and its a big IF) its well implemented, or a Killer with a futuristic/tech vibe (could be as simple as a cyborg or rogue robot, just has to have a good aesthetic and a viable power.

Okay, so I must do the following:
- Assume BBQ is always there.
- Equip a counter perk for that exact perk.
- Hope other random survivors do the same.
Got it.
But I hope it works.
If I'm playing Killer and there's an Obsession, I have to assume every Survivor has DS. Why? Because its popular and I can't tell otherwise. Best advice is to adapt and move on.
Personally I don't mind that Survivors use meta perks and SWF. Every tryhard abuses everything they can to win a game, I've done it so why wouldn't they. Just learn from it, change your playstyle to counter or get used to the meta.
-
Victor has huge snowball potential if multiple Survivors are injured, just be careful is multiple Survivors are around cause they can kick you regardless of whether you landed a pounce or missed.
If you're going for Adept, Victor doesn't accrue Hunting points/does not start a chase. Also someone might have to correct me but having him guard a hook may affect your emblems if its considered camping by the game.
Like Demo or Pig, their best addons are brown (Toy Sword and Tiny Fingernail), although perks like Madeline's Glove, Stale Biscuit and Forest Stew are also really good.
Finally, if you know a gen is about to pop, release Victor and have him go- he can get there faster. If its 1 Survivor they'll either be downed or Incapacitated (can't finish the gen).

I've gotten plenty of messages where I'm called a camper and think people throw that term around way too much.
Three examples
1. Had a survivor on hook, EDC was active, exit was right by me, hatch was by me, and two survivors were trying to save their friend. I personally don't view this as camping since why the hell would I leave the 3 survivors for the one across the map
2. Had a survivor on hook went to go check on a few gens a good bit away and would go back to check on hook. To me, it only makes sense to not just blatantly give away free unhooks totally unprotected
3. Played Freddy's map where I hooked a survivor in basement, I'd try to leave the school but would see scratch marks leading to the basement as I'm going upstairs. Downed a player and hooked. Hapoened again with another player. I'm just not going to ignore players being careless.
There all instances of camping, but you need to get it out of your head that its a bad thing. Camping is only toxic if you do it for the wrong reasons- ofc you shouldn't let them easily unhook, and if there's multiple points of interest near the hook (hatch, exit gates, other Survivors, etc.) there's no reason to leave. You're completely in the right here.
-
You can also save BP by completeing daily rituals and rift challenges but NOT cashing them in, so in reality you could have an extra 200-400k BP (IDK how much total you can get from the first 2 sections of the rift but thats what I get from pages 3 and 4).

-
T bagging fellow Survivors can mean Hello or Thank You.
If you really want to say thanks to a Killer after a match, you drop your item in front of them 'giving' it to them.
Nodding your head is more often BM than t bagging.
While Killers can easily show they want to farm (EX: hitting a gen, letting themselves get stunned), Survivors almost never get their point across doing the same.
A Trapper or Hag standing still mid chase is sometimes more scary than Spirit doing the same (just me? idk lol).
