If I use or see BPS I will make sure to get a lot if points and I will do that by tryharding. Nothing is more boring than farming, I will never farm no matter what. I can remember myself farming 2-3 since 2016, in all 2-3 times it was a combination of double bp event + 5 bps dropped. But even if this would happen nowadays, I wouldn't farm.
I play this game for fun and not to collect numbers.
-
Watched the clip: I agree with him. Stupid change, wasn't necessary and makes playing survivor more boring as it already is.
-
This change also removed the skill of survivors a bit. The old vault tech was quite difficult on difficult windows, not everyone could pull that off. Not even some players with 1k hours. Sadly, it's getting more and more casual in terms of detailed skill, timing and tech performing

Funny how it's always the rest of the people who play bad. Not me, of course. Them.
Ofc, you think people can't count 1 plus 1? If you run the killer for straight 3+ minutes while beeing efficient with pallets and tried to keep the strongest up, get downed while 1 single gen was done, noone tries to rescue you, all urban evading around and once spottet they get downed in 10 seconds by a M1 killer even near pallets. U wanna say that Im the bad player in this match? F off man. Everyone experienced it and everyone knows it. Even killer mains. To many potatoes are playing this game and it's extremely frustrated in solo Q to have them in your team against a decent killer.

I noticed that the killer can move for a very short split second before DS stuns the killer. Out of fear that my DS would be wasted if the killer picks me up in front of a hook, I try to go down away from hooks.
However, I agree, it should happen more early to prevent this from happening.
Everyone tries that, but unhook i-frames don't work in the way to move far away from the hook before getting downed against nearby
-
Weren't killers like you always complaining about survivors doing 5 gen runs on them back then? So what do you want? Survivors having all the pallets and vacuum back doing 5 gen runs on you + escaping or do you want a balanced game with perks like DS punishing "bad behaviour"?
I really hate this "don't get caught" mentality of killer mains but as soon as they get dominated and couldn't caught a survivor they come here crying.
@RoKrueger said:
Do you know what it is that fully counters hard tunneling? Not getting caught. You have to try that out

Yep noticed that aswell, it's insane

It's too niche to be on the radar of the Devs. There are bigger issues at the moment, and honestly if you're being tunneled that hard, you did something to deserve it. Or your teammates are stupid enough to farm you.
So, it's my mistake if DS, also known as ANTI-TUNNEL-PERK doesn't work in a scenario when I get tunneled? Seriously, are you mental? This is ridiculous.

What's your point? This bug only happens in certain scenarios so don't fix it?
Ikr, he confused me. Whats his point lol
-
@Peanits said:
It was tweaked, although for some it is significantly lower than it should be (to the point where you can barely hear it). This is a known issue and we're currently looking into it.
Honestly, I dont mind it beeing like that. Even with the low chase music it's still very difficult to track survivors with your ears cuz it's still buggy. Not even talking about foot steps because that's nearly impossible.
-
@Blueberry said:
This is an extremely niche scenario.
If when he standing right in front of the hook, the time for the person that saved you to move and him to pick you up is enough time to crawl just enough to get it off in time for it work. This is also assuming he just completely ignored the unhooker and didn't even hit them at all which is also very rare.
I've only ever had this happen to me once and that was before I never knew it could happen so I didn't try to leave the hook. Now that I know better this has never happened since and I always run DS.
Knowing this doesn't change the bug lol. The killer picks you up and your DS can't be used. No rocketscience. In case you tried to justify this.

I disagree with removing perks from the original characters. I might want to use agitation without pumping a bunch of points into trapper.
"bunch of points"
Unlocking one teachable is easily done with bloodpoints. Takes one day, with BBQ&C and some puddings it's done in 2 hours.
I will take unlocking teachables with bps in one day playing instead of waiting months over months to get access to perks behind a paywall

This thread is basically telling people not to buy, and that comment cements it. I am not part of the problem as I do not have a side in this matter. I buy what I want regardless of another person's opinion.
The perks are kinda alright, they need number tweaks and maybe restriction removal, but they are generally fine.
With that logic: you r telling people to buy it lol

@HavelmomDaS1 Balanced Landing, I agree. Lithe is definitely better than Dead hard though. Dead hard saves you from messing up, but with Lithe you're usually not in a position where you mess up. Lithe can get you right out of deadzones which is so underrated about it. It can also help you rush to a hook, gen or something if you wont make it normally.
It can save you from Billys because of this. Huntress can counter it, but not exactly, you can still relatively easily activate it, it just takes thinking. That's not to say Dead hard is bad, it's really good, just not Lithe tier.
For me it's:
Balanced Landing>>>>>>Lithe>>>>>>Dead Hard>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sprint Burst (these four are solid, now it's for me bad ones)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Head on.
I don't really count Adrenaline as one btw.
@Poweas yeah I can see where u and the others are coming from with Lithe. It's probably the best perk to get away from dead zones cuz windows are common.
I personally try to avoid running into dead zones in the first place. My goal as survivor is to get chased first (automatically I know where pallets exists cuz I'm the first one who will use them) and extend them as much as possible while beeing quite greedy with pallets for optimal chase potential of my other mates once I'm downed. And that's when DH comes handy and outclasses all other perks. It gives you a tiny but very significant difference to extend a chase during looping when you misjudged the killer speed (bloodlust usually kicking in).
-
Imagine putting sprint burst that high in 2019.
The ultimate looper exhaustion tier list is to put balanced and dead hard on 1. Place
-
Nurse existence is relevant. She's basically the backup for bad balancing. So basically she was the backup forever, cuz balancing was always an issue.
-
@Bongbingbing said:
I agree, the concept of having a killers power in the hands of a survivor is just idiotic.
They obviously had a shift in how they want to make powers, ever since clown every killer has had a power gauge to limit their powers and multiple downsides for using their power. I hope the past two killers being influenced by survivors isn't a sign of how they want the next few killers to be.
It's just sad that such well designed killer like Plague and an iconic killer like ghostface had to be "abused" by the devs like that. Really wanted to buy Ghostface cuz I liked his stealth potantional.
-
@Shad03 said:
While I do agree, you can't really convince people to not buy Ghostface.
They're gonna buy him, as will I cause I want his perks.
I'm not convincing anyone, everyone has his own brain. However, I want to mention that u r part of the problem.
Btw, his perks are garbage anyway. I personally wouldn't even take them in the shrine once avaliable, just makes the grind heavier without real benefit
-
Something beeing nerfed multiple times doesn't say it's balanced.
-
I liked playing her before the sound bugs.
I don't like versing her tho, and her sounds from survivors perspective are a bit annoying.

There's a huge issues with the first one: That is going to massively skew the stats. People aren't going to disconnect if they doing well, but as we all know, there are many people who will disconnect the instant they go down. If you exclude matches where anybody disconnects, you're excluding matches where someone does poorly and rage quits and only focusing on ones where the survivors do well.
We can only do so much when providing stats, and any time you exclude things the stats get more skewed. This is why we give general stats rather than picking and choosing what to include. This is why we recommend not drawing any conclusions based on stats alone.
The other two we could possibly look into if we release stats again, though.
Why not showing both? Matches including disconnects and matches excluding DCs? Would also show what a big difference it can be to dc and screw your mates.

A few months ago we had a survivor streamer with a full SWF squad playing against a doctor.
Doctor played 3 gen strat and they called it taking the game hostage.
Match took 1 hour, during which the killer didn't fail for bait. He didn't let himself drag away but tried to down and hook survivors.
Those survivors held the game as much hostage as the killer did. No one wanted to give in.
In the end, the killer let them do the gens, to end this. But the survivors wouldn't leave. They stayed another 10 minutes at the exit.
Do you have the VOD link? I'm really curious lol
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
I think it's an unfortunate situation... but if you play it right, you could flip it around and gen bait him. It sounds crazy I know, but you can pull it off with the right teammates.
Swf, at best. And if the doc sticks to his strategy even swf won't do #########
-
Yeah why not. At least dropping. So mates can use my flashlight to attempt a save or whatever. Shouldn't be that complex to detach dropping/picking with using.
-
Not as frequent as I used to. Sometimes I just do my daily quickly (1-2 matches) and quit again.
-
@ba_tetsuo said:
The game is still winnable. None of the survivors are prevented from attempting gens. They shouldn't have 3 genned themselves
See, here comes my problem with "they shouldn't have 3 genned themselves" cuz the whole build is around 3 genning. The killer patrolled the closest gens since begging. Either do other gens or do nothing. This is not in the hand of the survivors.
-
@Groxiverde said:
That is not bannable, and if BHVR bans people for doing this strategy, I'm uninstalling the game right now.
Please do so, noone needs players with such a mentality
-
Should be high priority. It's to misleading and they spawn to late. Combined with the current sound bug it's ridiculously difficult to follow survivor's movement.
-
This community is like no other community: it can abuse everything.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It's been like that for a few months now.
I've been hearing that it's been fixed now but I have no idea if that is true or not.
So it's officially a bug and not intended? Better so, it just promotes boosting potatoes, annoying af
-
As the devs said: ''We are currently reviewing Ghost Face internally and coming up with solutions to the problems listed above.
Where did the devs said that?
-
Hex perks are only Really strong on THE GAME (especially with toth and omegablink Nurse, good luck destroying the devour hope lol) and eventually the hospital because these have some really good hiding spots. Other than that, 90% the totems will be destroyed in under 2 minutes, to often in under 60 seconds.
-
Is the PTB closed already? Damn, I wanted to bully ghostface more lol
-
@se05239 said:
Or you could remove perk levels altogether. Would also solve a lot of the perk grind.
This would be the best attempt imo. Only thing I want with that: some kind of compensation. Something like legacy, but obviously different. Maybe that glowing from the last event? Idk, just anything so it doesn't feel like a massive waste of time to be one of the players who p3lvl50 with all perks unlocked all perks before the grind cut off happened.

Billy is balanced against SWF..against solo survs however...
The only issue with solo is to many potatoes are in high ranks + we are still waiting for specific solo buffs (for example basekit kindred, totem counter in the UI, chase information in the UI etc). This is absolutely necessary in order to balance DbD anyway.
I personally don't have issues against Billy in a 1v1. I can loop him for very long. It's my potatoe mates who F the match up
-
Hillbilly is the most balanced killer in the game. Probably since release, because I can't remember a time frame when Billy was to strong or garbage.
Billy has plenty of counters, has some high skills, mindgames and is loopable.
IMO anyone who sees Billy as unbalanced has 0 clue about DbD and should stop talking about balancing in dbd.
Billy should be blueprint for all killers. He should be loopable, mindgames possibilities, some dangerous m2 attack and high mobility.
-
Those for killers/survivors I haven't bought.
-
Pretty much agree. Spirit is a difficult one, if your opponent guesses every time right you will look old.
Huntress is EXTREMELY map and loop depended. For her inconsistencies I would put her own tier down for anti loop
-
Not every single perk needs downsides. It can be not strong enough, to situational, counterable etc. DS fits into the 2nd and 3Rd category I mentioned. No need for downsides.
Also, one downside of obsession is rancor tho. Use it if you want to punish obsession survivors.
-
DS is a QoL perk mate. Nothing feels more unfun to get tunneled for no reason (with 5 gens up for example).
Don't feel bad, DS became my main perk since its rework together with adrenaline. Must have imo, u never know what kind of killer you get.
-
The whole bloodlust mechanic is a lazy attempt to band-aid fix extremely bad map design (long loops).
Since the devs announced map reworks (removing ultra save pallets and adding more mind game pallets) this mechanic is hopefully soon history again. Depends on how good and how fast the devs rework all the maps

You mean like how most killers HAVE to run RUIN or HAVE to waste 2 slots with Spirit Fury/Enduring? Yeah...
Prayer Beads are fine. Use a Mandatory slot for Iron Will like Killers have been doing for RUIN since Hag release.
But the perks u mentioned for killers are useful in every match. But premonition and spine chill to actually counter one single killer... NO, not a single killer, a single addon of a single killer. That's to much.

Age and moral issues aside the drawing is only average and breaking your arm isn't really that bad. Certainly not deserving of videogame immortality anyhow.
Ridiculous, are you mental or something?
-
I would totally stand behind this. Would make the map more interesting to explore "easter eggs"
-
I wish they would in general use some high quality renders as background for the loading screen. Something to watch, something interested. Since forever I'm alt+tabbing to youtube during the loading screen cuz it's boring af and takes long. Just something to please the eyes, why not right? Other games have this aswell
-
Watch zubatlel youtube channel, he has a prayer beat match and calls it bullshit (-> unfair, unbalanced).
The only real counter to prayer beats is gentapping, unless you are swf communicating spirit actions, or obvious situations (someone is getting picked up and is about to get hooked). Extremely unfun and basically better than ruin itself (gentapping takes around 2x as long as normal repairing).
I personally have the opinion that prayer beats is bullshit, takes away the skill + "ez mode" gengrabbing nearly everyone without having a real chase.
-
The optimal genrush requires survivors to work on gens alone. So your suggestion is just promoting genrushing actually (besides at the end of a match eventually) and it makes toolboxes a useless item.
-
The only big issue I have with Myers:
- Stalk takes to long (both stalk speed addons should be basekit, I use them in every match and he is actually really depended on that)
- stalk limitation (survivors are to fast "juiced" up)
- Cornfield. Literally can't stalk survivors in the corn not even 5 meters away from me.
Other than that he is probably the best "basic" M1 killer and by far the best licenced killer.
But he needs some tweaks for sure.
My current build: BBQ&C, ruin, enduring and spirit fury. Very solid in 99% of all matches.
-
BMing is part of every pvp game. It's actually good that it's exists (to a certain extend) because it's challenging you mentally and can be seen as part of a tactic: getting your opponent tilted will lead to more mistakes of him and you can take advantage of that.
-
Just for you information... NO Game will ban you for changing your monitor settings cuz there is no way fro eac or any other anti cheat program to detect that. And they don't care anyway
