So what was this mythical DBD Golden Age actually like?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2827969#Comment_2827969
How? What made it so special?
No mmr, no realm beyond, old Freddy, less balanced yet somehow more fun, the fog, old Billy etc.

Which maps are unfair in favor of the killer?
Midwich

I was . . . but I'm starting to get a little annoyed with all the delays. At this point, just stop announcing a date until your game is ready.
I agree with this. Especially since ash vs evil dead is very popular
-
Care to specify how?
-
I sigh and just want the game to end.

Only someone who never played against Twins would say "I wish I saw more Twins".
Not really. I have fun every time I go against twins.

...then your not using it right because DS is one of the most useful Perks survivors have. Please pre tell is your reasoning on saying it's a wasted perk slot. I'm being serious and curious.
Probably he gets tunneled, brings ds the next match, then doesn't get tunneled.

@Cybil said:
I'd play as them more, but Victor is just so poorly implemented.
-Can't land on top of anything
-Survivors can kidnap him
-You can't willingly summon him back
-He can't stop someone from going through the exit gate if they're already injured (I think)
Admittedly I haven't played as them very much but it's for these reasons that I've been prioritizing learning Michael and Ghost Face instead. If they're so difficult to balance then I think they should rework them. Also, having them stand around is just weird and seems like a bit of a cop-out.
also Vic's hitboxes are just #########

I agree

Eh it was a killer that could shape-shift into survivors.

omg that would be hilarious

LF is a pretty popular killer and almost all of them I go against face-camp, and it needs nerfed. It sucks just hanging on a hook for the entire game knowing that there is no way for your teammates to help. It's boring for everyone.
I normally don't agree with you and I don't usually have a problem with camping but I do agree with you on this. He needs his camping potential nerfed because his power is just too good at it.

used to be able to run away for longer periods, now it seems like you get 10 steps and your down or hit. had at least a little bit of a chance to loop, now it seems like the only way to loop is in the killer shack and even that's gotten a lot tougher. just not fun to lose every game.
Then yeah that's just you. I'm not seeing any faster killers. Plus I'm also seeing people loop for incredible periods of time. The only way killers could be faster is with subtle hacking or certain perks. So yeah probably just you.

This new game will definitely take some players away from DBD, also funny how they do a bloodrush(again) right after it is released. Someone is scared at bhvr and instead of fix the game they are like "come get your extra points" smh
Same thing happened with VHS beta. Around the same time too.

Because if noed isn't threatening then the entire concept of dull totems breaks down and other perks like Pentimento get nerfed as a consequence.
Noed exists to make survivors want to cleanse totems, not to give killers a one hit down.
This is really the only good reason I've seen for not nerfing noed.

More like why so many people hate this perk much?
It doesn't do much, nor hard to counter, I don't see reason to get mad over it.
the same reason dh is so bullshit. "You see all that work you did for you team. Yeah ######### that #########"
-
This is why the basement is usually so close to a powerful loop. You can loop the killer at a shack or building for a while but if you misplay or get outplayed you get punished by one of the strongest hook places in the game. Also the basement is probably the easiest place to cause the killer's auto aim to go crazy and hit the hooked survivor. Aside from that trapper is one of the weakest killers and doesn't need a nerf in any real way. Bubba in general just needs something about his camping potential and I don't feel like Hillbilly is in general a fine killer.

Yeah... Except I only ever DC right before hook 3 when a killer camps and tunnels all game, it the only fyou guy a survivor has, as reports do nothing even if the killer or survivor is holding the game hostage/sandbagging etc.
I run MoM, breakout, plunderer and appraisal and have some really fun games with killers playing really well and I would not Dc if they play good. Toxic teammate sand bagging I don't have to DC I can let them die on hook as punishment,

Again basically behaviors fault for allowing Terrible gameplay that only 1/5 of the players in match enjoy i.e. camping hooks, it's basically social conditioning, and when 1/5th of a match can ruin the game in 87 different ways for everyone else there should not be a DC penalty, and almost every reason everyone is saying someone dc's is behaviors fault. If a killer proxies all game there should be a huge blood point penalty at least like 6 hook states? Yeah 1200 bp the dude just ruined the match everyone sat on a generator or hook all game. Frickin mechanic simulator but worse
And this shows just how much you aren't reading the comments. Never did I mention camping and tunneling. That is just you trying to justify a DC. And no it's also not bhvr's fault. Being the first getting downed us not something BHVR has control over. Nothing I listed BHVR has control of. It doesn't matter when YOU DC. The state of the matter is that people are going to DC the moment the match isn't going their way and that's why we have the penalty.
You constantly bring up camping and tunneling. But that is the thing. You don't have to camp, you don't have to tunnel, you don't have to be a bully squad, you don't have to go clicky-clicky with a flashlight to get someone to DC. All you have to do is find them first, down them first, down them once, hook them once, go to Haddonfield, go to Midwich, do a generator, destroy their hex totem, bring ruin, bring dead hard, or play a killer they don't like facing for people to DC. The difference between these events and camping/tunneling/being a bully squad is that everything I listed is playing the game normally.
So Tl;dr: It doesn't matter how you play the game, simply playing the game is enough for people to DC. The only thing stopping people from dc-ing simply because the other side is doing their objective or people don't like something in the match (perks, killers, maps), is the dc penalty.
-
No this game was not. When the dc penalty was turned off during the RE release there were dc's every match.
1 generator done-dc
Hex totem gone-dc
First hook-dc
First down-dc
Certain Killer-dc
Certain perks-dc
Certain Map -dc
Without the dc penalty people would dc the moment the match wasn't going their way. A killer dc the match just ends so all that loading and preparing was a waste of time. Survivor dcs pretty much guaranteed win for the killer. When I play killer dcs take away the fun when I play survivor dcs take away the fun. Even with the dc penalty on there are sometimes multiple dcs a match. Plus nothing is stopping you from dc-ing. You can still do it. If the match is that ######### for you the button is there for a reason. But dc-ing is the worst kind of bad sportsmanship. The only good excuse for there not being a dc penalty is the hacker epidemic. Other than that there is no reason for the dc penalty to be turned off. Aside from just actually cheating it is the lowest thing you can do in this game.

Ah one of those who just didnt got the issue. Always appreciate your folks.
You're welcome buddy.

dead hard is the only perk I have a problem with.
The slightest change to bt would be to make the person with endurance have no collision so they can't body block the rescuer.

just ignore it and move on. You don't have to interact with them......unless you like the taste of some salty feeeeesh 😎

Just be honest. Playing NOED is a sign of no skill. Youre purposely giving up a perkslot that could help you playing well the main time of the game for a perk that can completely change the results of the game at the very end and requires zero input from your side. Its hilarious how people still defend playing with their training wheels as killer.
I think noed is only a sign of skill if you use it on twins to force people to die to EGC on RPD 🙃
-
Ah yes you're back with these. Missed em
