Sole Survivor doesn't make sense.
-
I don't plan on making it easy for her, but I learn to lower my expectations when I hear the scream.
-
Reminds me of when me and a Pig practically brushed shoulders as we crouched past eachother and neither of us noticed, 'cause a tree was right in the way.
I learned to invoke the cross after I looked back and saw her.
-
Oh my God, I just remembered.
Deathslinger.
Good luck DH'ing my shots, dumbass.

Hey at least they would be stuck in the animation and unable to do anything, the 150% speed boost still sounds so overpowered because you can just run away in a straight line. You won't even need to vault pallets or anything if you can just Sprint Burst BT.
It all depends on how the DH interaction actually plays out. If you have to finish the animation before you can do anything, its going to be a whole lot better, since now you can't just DH to make a window or pallet vault. A pallet drop might still be iffy, though.
-
Shockingly, the one who tries to stack everything in their favor the hardest is the least prepared for things going wrong.
-
All they need to do is prevent you from interacting with pallets or windows for 2 seconds and it'll be golden.
And if nothing else, at least getting successfully DH'd puts them in deep wound. Messing up before would get you absolutely nothing.

Down

BUBBAAAAAAA
OOOOoooOOOooooo
DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU CRY
-
Endurance doesn't do anything against traps, so your trapper is good.
My killer games'll definitely be a little simpler, from the looks of things.
-
That's just the nature of people in multiplayer games. You can't reach through the screen to knock their teeth out, so they get to vent nastiness consequence-free.
-
Yes. It also didn't deactivate upon performing any action, nor getting to the endgame. With these current stipulations, 4 effective seconds seems more than fair.
It being that way once shouldn't be the sole reason it's reverted, unless you wanna go all the way and run Enduring for the rest of your life.
-
Bhbhbfhbfhhfbbbut I need a sick save for my sick compilation vid!
-
Yup, it's been extremely funky.
Not 4.5 funky, but funky nonetheless.
-
If you're doing chests and totems far from the killer, you're just slowing yourself down for free.
If you're doing chests and totems close to the killer, why are you doing chests and totems close to the killer.

Ngl anyone DC'ing in an event is hilarious. Literally had a killer dc after 1 gen was done even though 5 flans were brought lol
Had a killer bring a mori against our Flans, facecamp the first person he downed, tunnel that person off the hook, still get looped by them for long enough for us to finish all the gens and gates, and DC immediately after mori-ing them.
It was an experience.
-
I have very cute pictures of Baron and Tess that you'll NEVER see if you don't extend the event.
Like this one.
You didn't see it, though.

Oh please leave dabbing in 2016.
Freezing the killer in place with cringe is the ultimate mindgame.

Congratulations for your video gaming experience.
-
Make the survivor stop in place and dab.
Then I might actually use Dead Hard.

I play both sides. As survivor, I don't rely on Decisive Strike, yet I'm with the people who think the nerf makes no sense.
Lowering the stun to 3 seconds? Defeats the purpose. It's an anti-tunneling perk, meant for you to get distance away from the killer so they'll give up on the chase and go do something else. Not to mention the survivor is also stunned for a second during the drop animation, so they don't get the full 3 seconds lead. To make things worse, it's affected by the poor netcode of the game, so if the killer lags, survivor gets even less time to run. I've had it happen where the killer lagged so hard during Decisive that he was able to swing right after the drop. Extreme case, but if the stun duration is 3 seconds and survivor is stuck in a 1 second animation, then even 200 ping would take 10% away from the intended duration.
Disabling Decisive Strike during end-game collapse? This is more fair. I've seen so many killers struggle to just get a single kill at this phase, so trying to secure the kill on that person who just got unhooked before they reach the exit gate is much more fair. However, there have been times where I've used Deliverance + DS + Borrowed as an "anti-face camping build". allows you to unhook someone who's being face camped during end-game collapse, then you take the hook on purpose, Deliverance off, Decisive strike, and leave through the gate. In this case, it's a counter towards bad killer behavior, so it's unfortunate this won't work anymore. But overall, i think it's a fair change to disable it during end-game collapse.
Solution for killers who hate DS:
Don't tunnel. I have no complaints with DS when i play killer, because i try to not go after the same survivor again immediately after they're unhooked. This is EXACTLY why decisive strike is needed, so that a survivor being tunneled gets a 2nd chance. And it's supposed to be a big punish to the killer, because if you single out a single survivors, then you're sucking the fun out of the match for that person. It's easy to forget that we play with other people, and both sides have behaviors that ruin the fun for others. And when the easy counter/solution to a perk is "don't be a dick and the perk won't affect you", then nothing needs to be done to the perk.
I'm shocked that everyone forgets that the 3 seconds doesn't start when you start running. Like how the basekit BT is really going to be closer to 4 seconds since you get the endurance when the unhook bar fills up, not when you can move again.
A Nurse or Blight will literally be right back on top of you in one second with a 3 second stun. For everyone else, I guess everyone just assumes they'll get DS'd in the middle of 10 loops with 0 used pallets.
5 seconds is completely fine. I've only gotten hit with it once in the past week, and it was because I literally couldn't find the unhooker.
Hate it when they hide.

It's not about protesting the maps, it's about pointing the fact that can you really blame them for playing these ways when BHVR practically forces it with the way they design the game.
I don't really blame you for anything. It's a game, you have options, if you never want to have a match out of your favor again you can pick as much Nurse as you want. You don't need to defend yourself.

Several people play even basic m1 killers without camping and tunneling and still have successful games. Sounds like a skill issue
Look, when you get The Game as Legion, there's probably just not a lot your skill's gonna be good for.
But yeah, I don't really know if protesting maps by maining nurse or going facecamp Bubba is gonna help much.
"I sacrificed your lives for you, and this is the thanks I get?"
@Cybil said:
I can and I will.
Anyone who runs starstruck nurse is a pathetic loser and deserves to be messed with. You don't want to play DBD and just want a win in anything you can get your pathetic hands on. I genuinely think you should be banned from any online game to ever exist. It's not about you winning a game but rather you want to ruin someone else's good time. You are as small as the universe is big.
It honestly sucks that I have to legitimately wonder if this is real. Thanks DbD forums.
-
I wish I found all the god pallets at Lery's. I'm pretty sure the map subtly shifts around when I'm not looking to remove all the windows and pallets from my path.
-
Can I not have to download the entire game again to do so?
-
Nurse and Blight do absolutely throttle balance decisions, but what's even stupider about the giant DS nerf is that they introduced a perk that does its job, better, on both hooks, that doesn't deactivate on endgame.
You're gonna hate that one more than you EVER hated DS if that makes it to live.
-
Yeah alright sure, I'm just gonna get 3 iridescent chaser/evaders, not like that's gonna be something that happens when I actually need them.

You realize thats what made ds op right? Just being able to work on a gen in front of the killers face and they're able to do nothing about other than eat a 5 second stun or wait out the ds. Either way I don't consider it tunneling if you're doing your objective and I've hooked people before I came back to you.
I don't consider it a problem for a survivor to hit you with a 5 seconds stun 50 seconds later. Because they did nothing for 50 seconds. That's the beauty of it deactivating on doing anything now.
5 seconds with all the perk's current stipulations seems plenty fair. Plenty of people seem to agree.
-
That's what I usually do, but I'm sorry, if someone stops mid-chase to boop me, my inner clown takes over.

And that's where my ######### pet peeve is
They gave the choice, sure, you can have the P3 icon on your character, but you gotta say bye to your flans, the bloodpoints you used to buy them AND the bloodpoints you could have gained from them, because there's NO WAY you'll manage to use 58 flans on every character AND prestige everyone to P3 before the event ends
And all that for a ######### shiny pin in the endgame screen? Hell no, ######### off BHVR, I'll level up everyone a couple of times to get flans and event items and then stop playing until the new system rolls out.
I mean like, maybe if I didn't have a full time job and friends ready and able to snatch me away to Divinity and Ark I'd be able to get the rest of my killers to P3? Bill's already at P3, I don't care about the other survivors.
But it's looking dodgy.
-
It hasn't felt as bad as the survivor movement/UI update that basically had our past selves from a second ago getting us hit and downed, but it's felt pretty bad. Plus the random silent vaults, jittering, warping around a little at random..
-
@Lycidas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3022651#Comment_3022651
Ah you're right, you need to ignore the first 60 tiers because you're at P0 while you collect them, so the conversion should be something like:
0 - 59 perk tiers: No prestige gained
60 - 120 perk tiers: 1 prestige gained
121 - 179 perk tiers: 2 prestiges gained
180 - 239 perk tiers: 3 prestiges gained
240 - 299 perk tiers: 4 prestiges gained
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3022586#Comment_3022586
I feel you, and the main reason I'm complaining about the stupid icon is that I basically feel like I threw away my items from old events and I will never be able to get them, for nearly nothing.
I'm valuing the fact that I could have had some Pustula Petals offerings on my characters more than an icon in the endgame screen.
Preeetty much.
I wish they let us share offerings before they gave us hundreds of flans and told us to prestige our characters.

You should be able to get it even if you go over level 50 far enough with Myers without burning all you offerings, addons and perks, and since the new system will "play catch up" it means that if you keep levelling up myers over level 50 you'll find him at prestige 3 in the new system
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3022566#Comment_3022566
Prestige will not be optional anymore.
It means that every 50 level you get a prestige level.
Translating how many perks you have into how many prestiges you have shouldn't be hard.
From level 1 to level 40 you get 1 perk per bloodweb (the bloodwebs that generate 2 perks eat one as soon as you take the other) and from level 40 to level 50 you get up to 2 perks per bloodweb.
So from level 1 to level 50 you get 60 perk tiers.
Count your perk tiers (NOED tier 3 counts for 3, BBQ tier 2 counts for 2) and divide the total by 60, you get an idea of the prestige level you should gain (if BHVR does things fairly) once the new prestige rolls out.
Look man
I can't rationally justify it, but as long as I have at least one flan, my inner completionist is satisfied. I can have the one in my vault to look at next to all the pins and say "yup, I have those".

With the survivor meta getting buffed and basekit BT + SB. I'm afraid, the kill rate will go down.
Calling a 5 second 7% speed boost after being unhooked basekit SB is.. a stretch, at least.

I don't know, I haven't played DBD mobile in awhile. They have the hearing accessibility options because people are more likely to be playing mobile games in loud places so won't necessarily be able to hear the game well.
Makes sense.
Just feels like, with a game like this, there's only so much you can really account for with accessibility settings before you have to accept some people are just going to have natural disadvantages, light or heavy.

They have visual heart beat when killer is near.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Q0XDF86TUFUF/20220624-031005-jpg.jpg
Does it still go off when the killer is undetectable?
Michael, Ghostface and Dredge all make sound that can save your life if you're attentive enough to pick up the it.
-
Aaaaall it needs is 1 second of Endurance and 2 seconds of Incapacitated. That's it. DH at pallets and windows, fixed.
Did you fail to read the DH? Hit endured, they speed away, all is well. Did you successfully read the DH? They can't pull the pallet down or vault the window, got 'em.

@bm33 said:
They REALLY need to get better accessibility options in this game. It's sad that in 2022 all they have done is add some colorblind options and change wiggle/struggle to skill checks.
They shouldn't be nerfing Spine Chill before adding accessibility for those hard of hearing. DBD mobile already has something for those hard of hearing so really no excuse to not add something into the pc/console version.
Adding minimal colorblind options but not thinking about those that are colorblind when making event gens orange even though there are killer perks like discordance that makes the gens yellow which can be difficult to see if colorblind.
So many times they've needed to update photosensitivity issues after PTBs because they don't consider it during any of the prior discussions/testing before having players test it - atleast I hope it's them just not considering it and not just blatantly not caring until players complain. Just lack of photosensitivity options as a whole is sad when it's brought up so often.
FOV for killer causing motion sickness for some and only fix is using a perk slot. Imagine if they nerfed this perk without addressing accessibility like they did Spine Chill.
It's depressing I can make a list of the accessibility issues in this game that have not been addressed by the devs.
How do you add accessibility for being hard of hearing?
-
Was damn annoying, but I don't really think it needed a nerf. Or at least, not a nerf as hard as this one.
I would've more liked other hexes buffed to usability than Ruin smashed to their level. Why does Lullaby exist, again?
-
Please and thank you, BHVR.
