Bottom line, if it's Bubba, throw altruism out the window and SURVIVE.
Or do one really good chase and not even have a chance to help others? Barely had one chance thanks to Unbreakable.

I despise killer adept achievements; not only for myself, but for others going for them. Thankfully, I just got my last one (Blight) yesterday. Until the next killer comes out...
A 4k with three unique perks can be bad enough on its own; but throw in the complexity that is the emblem system, and you can all but lose hope. I can't tell you how upset I was to lose mine as Blight yesterday because someone wanted to hide rather than unhook the other remaining survivor in a gen lock situation (one gen left to do with three closely situated generators). After closing the hatch, the two gates were too far/hidden from view to manage, and the last survivor opened the gate and got out.
I lose my killer adept achievement... to that?

The hemmorhage buff idea is rly good
We also already have a little status effect called Hindered. No reason to merge it with Hemorrhage.
As to blindness, you'd be surprised how powerful it already is. I was running Third Seal a few days ago and was told in post-game chat one of the survivors died because the others didn't even know where I hooked them. The time is already so brief that they see that notification bubble. Blindness is powerful.

And? Killers can get no kills and get plenty of points by just getting lots of hooks without ever third hooking. Should we change hook points so you only get 2000 sacrifice points on a kill and that's it so the only way to max sacrifice is by 4king?
Yes, they can, but I don't think they can max out the sacrifice scoring category with only two-hooking the survivors.. can they? The same vein of thought should be true of a survivor escaping or not (for the survival scoring category).
-
As a survivor main, I prefer this stay RNG. Certain killers are powerless when the gates are far apart. You wouldn't see anything at all but high mobility killers if this change was implemented. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose (both killer and survivor).

@SkeletalElite said:
I'll always give a +1 to more ways to get survival points. Survival points are the reason killers tend to get more BP than survivors on average, survivors have a whole category which is near impossible to get points in except for 5000 you get from escaping.
The thing is, there needs to be a heavy weight to escaping or not as a survivor. If high values of survival bloodpoints are too easily acquired, you can escape or die in the trial with no real consequence (pointswise).
-
If you or your teammates are self-caring just for the survival points, you've most likely already lost the trial at that point.

So his own perk doesn't even mesh well with him. Nice. Thanks!

In mobile, there are hatch dailies and weeklies for both sides - and even opening gate challenges as killer!
-
Without a system like Overwatch, where Blizzard tells you if and when action was taken against a reported player, the fair assumption is that reports go down a rabbit hole.

I think they're saying that the tooltip is worded incorrectly, in that it implies that 25% of whats already been accomplished is removed, rather than a flat 25% of the gen's completion. So if a gen was 50% done, the tooltip's wording would remove 12.5% of its total progress, not half of what's been done.
Yeah, dat makes sense!
-
Just MacMillan? Seems to be the norm for every outdoor map these days. Not one single vault or pallet for several meters.
-
Some of the new totem spawns are crazy. But then yeah, then there's this still. On this very map, I struggled to get across to the other side of the hourglass as soon as the match started, just to see if my hex totem had been spotted. Sure enough, I bet it was already halfway to being cleansed when I found a survivor cleansing it and another survivor bodyblocking them.

Or, instead of lowering the BP-Costs, they can double the amount of Bloodpoints for the Category-specific BP-Offerings. For brown ones, instead of 50% in the Category, 100%. For yellow, instead of 75%, 150% and for green instead of 100%, 200%.
Completely unrelated to the increased costs of the Perks, but something that I wish for a long time.
I would welcome this bump to the BP offerings also, but it still won't help how expensive items, addons, and offerings can be in relation to the return value. For example: if I bring a skeleton key with two very rare add ons and a White Ward into the trial, and escape; I can still come out less BP than that item and offering combination costs (25,000 BP)? Hmm, ok.
-
Thanks! You are correct: they stated they are introducing new ways to get tokens for WGLF... but these were already ways to earn tokens? I'm at least happy about the secondary effect that it's been lacking for years. These notes have BHVR written all over them.
-
Huh? I thought this was already a thing?
-
Link to said numbers and such, please?
-
-
It would be impossible to gain tokens unlocking the hatch, as doing so forces you down the hatch first. You've already left the trial at that point.
They've already announced that they're adding new ways to gain tokens here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/194208/developer-update-september-2020#latest ; but I don't see it explicitly specified how.
-
They are on mobile! Even between survivor and killer in cases of map and mist offerings!
-
Not a bug, as a cage rescue is not a hook rescue. It even scores in the boldness category for uncaging.. yet the safe uncage points are in altruism. Yet another reason to hate on the cage function.
-
It's rather idiotic. The highest cost item would be a skeleton key + two rare add-ons, costing a whopping 19,000 BP. All a killer has to do is use one perk slot to potentially delete such an expensive item in the trial? I mean, you might not even escape the trial earning that much. New Franklin's is bogus.
Edit: Figured out PI is Plunderer's Instinct. Duh.
-
Just had this happen again. I completed a bloodweb while in a pre-game lobby. It did not move on to the next bloodweb, nor could I change my survivor. Had to force close the game as I did not want to play as that survivor - only spend points on them.
-
Could someone please provide me a link where I can read all the upcoming changes?
-
Yeah, a successful killer attack cancels a sabotage. You were seeing things. You just have to have amazing perception about which hook(s) the killer is headed towards in order to get the sabo off early enough to not take a hit and be helpful.
-
Boy oh boy, happy news! Was this on a stream or something? Link?
-
Huh? Lock three perk slots in order to create "room for diversity"... got it.
Hard pass.
-
I personally save most of my offerings for SWF. No telling if the killer or other survivors will BM me, disallowing me from making the most of it (BP bonus offering or otherwise).
For solo queue, my fellow survivors are typically only getting lessen the mist to remove them from my view. Sorry fellas.
-
Oh, I thought you were going to say I could NOED fellow survivors bodyblocking ME in a corner.
No. Survivors already have to sacrifice a health state, or two, or even three, to help a fellow survivor being carried. Unless that survivor is dead on hook (or even wiggles off for that matter), most of the time it isn't even worth it; and I don't understand why they do it.
-
Repressed Alliance needs to be brought down to 60/50/40 at the very least, to be a more valuable perk.
I also think that your proposed aura reading to Small Game is too strong. I think if they instead just keep the current function and noise notification, but also show the aura of the totem for five seconds, it will be fine. Along with a counter for totems destroyed or remaining.
-
I thought I was just becoming one of Orochimaru's newest experiments!
-
They probably felt compelled to do it to give him two Hex perks, due to the nature of Undying. But yeah, as a hex it's rather garbage. I don't agree with making Dragon's Grip a hex either though. Unless they remove the cooldown, and it works every generator kick.
-
-
Survivors don't get to see what killer or add-ons are being played going into the trial, and this is their only defense against perks such as Franklin's. I'd be fine with survivors being 'locked' before a trial, but only if nothing at all was shown to a killer beforehand as well. Certainly hiding the names and items of survivors would be an improvement to stopping lobby dodging.

So make sure you're awake when you're unhooking and you won't be oblivious. It has counterplay, it just requires some planning.
Again, a camping Freddy negates this argument, as even if you approach the hook while healthy and awake, it's either taking a hit while unhooking or being grabbed trying.
-
I mean, I took a picture but it won't really do justice (as you can't see who the killer is, etc.). Didn't have any video recording software running at the time.
I'm not 100% certain, because I think the only times he hit me during the match were a spear shot he let me off of, then another hit after that. I don't think I was hit by a regular attack or reel in during the match. 100% a visual bug at the least, not sure if I was actually exposed or not though.
-
Ruin + Undying has brought the most stale, boring gameplay I've ever experienced in Dead by Daylight since I began playing in 2016. I miss old Ruin right now.
-
Unfun killer gameplay styles (since I have to encompass it all into one thing).
-
Heck no. Especially with the introduction of Undying. Totem progress already resets whenever the cleansing is cancelled.

You say that knowing full well that they added these Blueprint offerings here recently? You don't think the Killer would like to know if Survivor's used a Shroud?
Or if a survivor is going to be tunneled off their first hook, just to be immediately eliminated from the match?
-
A lot of killers throw in Tinkerer too, and if they have high mobility, you can't even complete a gen by committing to it. Funny thing is, it actually encourages gen rush even stronger. I bet a lot of survivors are missing old Ruin about now. Matches are so stale and boring these days. If killers aren't running this combo, they continue to camp and tunnel.

Can someone please tell me how to make discussions in general chat? Ever since the last forum update I can't seem to figure it out.
Experiencing the same issue. Guess their bugs don't even give the forums a pass.

Ah, ok. Still not agreed though, sorry.

Very overpowered, hard no from me. Besides that, how do you supposed a missed attack with no cooldown would look animation-wise?

If a survivor get camp by a freddy its simple you wake up and go for the unhook like that BT work
Not if he hits you during your unhook attempt.
-
@Bullettimegod said:
About the bt. I disagree. Bt is abused enough. Sorry it is. If im chasing a survivor and he just unhooks infront of me. Its bs. With freddy, its basically "well you ######### up now. Gg dummy"
We shouldnt reward that type of gameplay. And freddy punishes it hard.
And when the killer is simply camping/the hooked survivor is not being hookbombed? BT has one function, and it shouldn't be denied its only use if it's going to take up a perk slot.

Thats not how the alarm clocks work. You can wake up at any of them, but only the farthest one is highlighted.
Wrong. You can only wake up at the highlighted clock.
