Yeah, P3 will get you all the rewards for that character when it rolls out and there won't be a cap to prestige in the future. I just wonder if those who haven't prestiged will also get these rewards.
We've gotten confirmation now. People who do not currently have the characters P3 before the prestige catchup system is implemented will not be eligible for the rewards.

I think the devs should really undo undying. It gave survivors another objective which is to break all the totems. Survivor mains complained that they couldn’t find every totem, but really it’s because all they want to do is rush gens and bully killers during EGC.
Any arguing against old Undying is shot down by maps that see killer belongings. Counterforce. Detective’s Hunch. Small Game. The devs nerf everything good/different until all that’s left is meta. 🥱
And until the power disparity between solo and swf is fixed Old Undying will forever remain a fundamentally broken perk.

Masquerades are anything but sketchy underground places. They were basically fancy costume parties for the wealthy.
That aside, I love the look of the masks but I am disappointed with the survivor choices. Especially since it's not just Dwight and Ace who released in the same year, it's also Yui and Jane. Only Mikaela and Elodie were released in different years.
Dwight and Ace I have no defence for but to be fair Yui was December 2019, which is DBD Year 4, and Jane was March 2019, which is DBD Year 3

People who try to argue it isn't survivor sided now always pull the "what about back in ye old days" card. As if that proves anything.
Oh no it definitely is still.
However, OP's title suggests that this current point in time is the most survivor sided it has ever been, inherently forcing the comparison to the older days of DBD when the game, objectively, more in the survivor's favour than it currently is.

Can I just say that, unlike the 5th Anniversary, having actual dates to look forward even if they change and the promise of further communication feels so, so refreshing and good and even if it doesn't happen that often in future too just knowing roughly what to expect and when, as well as most of the changed being things that were requested, is such a massive positive.

No I'm almost certain that the nerf from 65/70/75 to 40/45/50 was the most recently mentioned one, which they brought forward from a future patch due to high demand

If you have all characters P3, the new character will have all of their perks unlocked at tier 3 by default.
If you have a character at P3, their perks will be unlocked for all other survivors at tier 3 without needing to level them up beyond level 1.

Easy way to test: are you able to access the Custom Game mode without obtaining an online subscription?

Yes and no.
If you want to grind someone normally, you still can. Get them to P1 to get their perks on all other characters, at which point they can receive the T2 and T3 versions as normal in the web.
The grind to get to P3 will also be less now, too since inventories no longer reset. So if you get WGLF the first time round (or got it from the Shrine) then you keep it forever now, no more being cucked by RNG.

It feels like that's the case - you'll get the prestige catchup but not the reward for those already at p3

"It's better than nothing" is such a crap statement, when they could easily be more lenient with it. With the constant additions of both outfits and chapters, the current speed is a bit too slow.
And others doing the same makes it okay?
"it's better than nothing" when it comes to free things in a game made by a company with monopoly power (and honestly, dominant monopoly status) when profit maximisation is easy to do isn't as crap as you think.
Companies are not your friends, they don't want to hand out free things. That they offer them at all is honestly a blessing, considering their costs are also higher than most game firms since they treat their employees like actual people.
As much as I would love to have more free things introduced, I also have to think realistically, and from a microeconomics perspective the current system is already better than one could reasonably expect. They have to make money somehow, and DBD is their biggest earner.

1) a "prestige catch up" will be present, which will look at the tiers of perks unlocked and automatically raise your characters prestige based on this. I don't know the exact details though.

Yes, as you'd know by reading the summary or watching the stream, the grind was in fact addressed via the prestige and shrine overhaul.
Prestiging a character for the first 3 levels will unlock their 3 unique perks on all other characters for that role (survivor/killer respectively), with the level of the unlocked perk corresponding to the level of prestige reached.
Prestige no longer resets a characters inventory. You may keep all perks, items, addons, and offerings unlocked.
The Shrine of Secrets will no longer sell Teachable perks, but you can purchase perk tiers for automatic unlock on all other characters. Higher tiers will cost more, however owning previous tiers will discount this (say, for instance, you have Felix P2 and Built To Last appears, getting it tier 3 on all characters will be far cheaper than if you did not have him P2).

Well that depends on what part of the world you're in. Summer is nearly there in October for those of us in the southern hemisphere.
And if you're in the north it's a week to summer?
BHVR are in Canada and have always used the northern hemisphere for seasons before, I don't think they'd change it to the southern hemisphere for literally zero discernable reason??
Summer for us begins June 21st and continues until September 23rd.

Once while typing hurriedly in a discord thread to keep other people up to date and secondly while writing it all down
I'd have included gameplay of playing as + against Dredge, perks in action, mori etc. but it reached a point where I wanted to get it done and out because lets be real it's the anniversary chapter and gameplay will be everywhere within a couple hours lmao. Plus I have a busy day tomorrow so it's either get it done now or eat into revision time later.

PTB, no penalty, but I also got Steam Maintanence and was kicked from the game.
