Sure, as long as you and everyone who agrees with you pays everyone who bought her every single day due to them not being able to play their character.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Huntress, along with David, free?
-
Everyone's saying they don't experience being targeted for your clothing but I've had the opposite--whenever I play full prestige people I get facecamped but whip out the black jacket (which blends in better) on claudette and its fine, or David's beard (god bless), or even Jane's hair from the previous archives.
As killers, it can be really helpful though since it does make you harder to see. This makes sneaking up on people a LOT easier.

A mindgame is out-thinking your opponent. A battle of the minds. You use whatever information you have handy to try to guess what the other person will do, and what you think they will think you will do.
It has nothing to do with needing 'equal information'. You use what you have to make your move. See the grass move? Congrats; you use that visual information to see that Spirit did vape, and she is over there.
She stood still and you jumped into her arms over a pallet? Congrats; she tricked you into thinking she vaped, and guessed you would jump the pallet instead of running away.
Both are mindgames, even if salty Survivors don't want to admit it so they complain about how 'unfair' it is that she does not scream 'I'M GOING INVISIBLE NOW! I TOTALLY WENT INVISIBLE! THIS IS NO TRICK!'
Okay so spirit doesn't move grass and I don't know where this came from, but she doesn't.
Also this thread was on the new killer being confirmed (which, btw, defo agree with op :p), perhaps it should stay like that.

If it gets a hit; you were mindgamed. They tricked you and got a hit.
Not the Spirit's fault you fell for standing still. 😋
Or, and hear me out, standing still isn't a mindgame, because a mindgame requires both sides having equal information?
If I'm uninjured or I'm using iron will, spirit is fun to face and I can enjoy matches. When the spirit uses stridor it removes all viable counterplay and it becomes one of the most boring games I'll play, on-par with old Legion or a no-hook-full-slug nurse who can play the game.
-
From actual use, BT takes priority, and you are placed into the Deep Wounds status. From there, MOM will not activate until you mend. This works the same with a Styptic Agent (Bottled Time).

It's not what they plan on doing, that's a conspiracy theory made up by players with no basis whatsoever. They're replacing ranks with an MMR system, which is planned to not only be a more accurate reflector of player skill, but also rewards or punishes players proportionally to the difference in skill between them and their opponents (for example, you will lose fewer MMR points if you lose to an opponent who is better than you are). You can find more information about the upcoming changes in this post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/124795/status-update-matchmaking-changes

Because standing still is a very skillful mindgame lmao

Don't know if you are newer to the game. But they don't do blood point events very often. Before the 3 week one... It'd been a very long time since they'd done one. At least that I remember. I'd say you're not seeing another blood point event until maybe 4th of July.
I'd hazard a guess and say they'll probably have a BP event for the 4th anniversary

this is already month change.... and quarantine more than 3 weeks as u know.... already new rift also .....
better give us 2x bloodpoint for whole month...
So firstly, devs don't like doing 2x BP events for a long time because they flood the economy. Every game is either a mori with double ur addons or a SweatWithFriends™ death squad who want to use the best everything. Hence why it was 1.5x.
Secondly, you had almosy month and didn't take advantage of it. You sound just like the people on the forums at the time saying "only 3 weeks/only 1.5x" bearing in mind the developers could have done NOTHING. Be grateful we had something, don't demand any more.

Seems too stromg..gives way too many strong benafits for one perk..no killer per gives this much value even
But at the same time it uses a perk slot, requires a survivor to have an item with no addons, and only gives one of these bonuses at a time.
Personally, I like the idea.
-
Whilst I don't agree with dance emotes, I think that more ways of communicating other than "point point" or "wave wave" would be incredibly beneficial for solo q.
-
I believe these are actually scrapped ideas found in the game code from ages ago; apparently they were never removed.
The ruler was the power of "The Teacher", a scrapped killer.
The apple was, I believe, a scrapped perk.
The hat was a scrapped perk called "Detention".

Yeah sorry apparently you managed to miss the 3 week long bloodrush they had going on, so sorry.

Yea right if you believe that crap you have a screw loose. Matchmaking has been busted since the ghost face chapter I don't see it changing any time soon. And I don't believe ANYTHING BHVR says untill they do it, well if they say cosmetics are coming soon I'll believe that since that is all they care about
I mean, believe what you want to believe. I still have hope that they're actually working on something.
-
I would:
-Remove oblivious in Freddy. He shouldn't be able to camp easier than everyone else
-Add a totem counter to survivors
-Allow survivors to see each others' builds in the loading screen
-Shrink Mothers Dwelling tenfold.
-Shrink Family Residence a lot
-Make Yamaoka brighter
-Delete all corn and replace it with other tiles
-Stop both windows being open in Cowshed
-Delete the meat tree
-Shrink all coldwind maps
-Rework the entire Disturbed Ward
-Nerf/change Hex: No One Escapes Death
-Nerf/change Decisive Strike
-Hide totems better.
-Give a higher insentive to cleanse totems
-Hex perks can respawn after doing x y amount of times
-Revert Nurse's basekit change but go through and change her add-ons yet again.

For what? For exposing your build?
No because I used noed in it. I never use noed, ever, and rarely use add ons. The surge/surveillance combo is there in my usual build but then I also end up using STBFL and it I'm feeling adventurous might stick on a cheeky Devour Hope.
You asked for the strongest killer builds. This, when played correctly, is the strongest build that's the easiest to use.
-
I'm going to hate myself for this, but here is my objectively strongest killer build I've ever seen:
Killer: The Nightmare
Add-ons: Nancy's Masterpiece (Rare), Red Paint Brush (Ultra rare)
Perks:
-Pop Goes The Weasel
PGTW is just an amazing perk on Freddy because of his teleporting ability. It helps save gens that are close to being done and buys heaps of time over the course of a match.
-Surge
Surge seems a bit weird here but it combos well with the next perk, and makes you a lot more effieicnt since you don't need to kick gens. Playing right you can stall gens often, meaning survivors will remain injured to rush faster, letting you get easy free hits.
-Surveillance
Easily my favourite perk on Freddy, the information it gives you is unrivaled and IMHO it's better than BBQ in terms of gen tracking. Plus, it allows you to hear gen repairs easier, letting you start your first chase faster.
-Hex: No One Escapes Death
Despite my burning hatred of this perk, I can't deny its power. When playing this build right, survivors will be pressured beyond belief, leaving them no time to cleanse totems and to complete generators. This means that even if it is a death squad rushing gens, when playing right they'll be hit with NOED or you'll have enough time to kill a lot of them off.
For the most effect, play on Hawkins National Laboratory because most of the pallets there are unsafe.
-
I've seen survivors win these before actually; if their ping is decently better than yours then they win since you're taking too long to communicate with the server
-
Yamaoka and Mothers Dwelling.
-
Doddle28's unique perk:
Trial and Error.
You learn from mistakes, and are better because of it.
Chances of triggering a skillcheck are increased by 30%. Skillcheck regression panalties are increased by 10%.
Whenever you miss a skillcheck, gain a token, up to a maximum of 4/5/6 tokens. While repairing or healing, press the secondary action button to consume a token. Each consumed token applies a 10% bonus to the next skillcheck you hit.
"Oh ######### hell." - Doddle28
(may have to tweak some numbers, basic premise being that I make a lot of mistakes but I feel like I grow from them and come out stronger in the end. Make a big mistake and the next time you're in that situation, you instead excell forwards.)
Edit: Thought of another two lmao
Lone Wolf:
You've always worked better alone.
Gain a 30% boost to repairing, healing, unlocking, cleansing, chest searching, and sabotage speeds.
For each survivor remaining in the trial, this bonus is reduced by 10%/8%/6%. Co-op actions are not affected by Lone Wolf.
"Just piss off and let me do this by myself, alright?" - Doddle28
Unfit:
You've never been the most fit person out there, but you'd be damned if you can't take a beating.
Sounds of breathing are increased by 50%. Suffer from the "Exhausted" status effect for the duration of the trial.
Every time your health state changes, gain a token, up to a maximum of 10 tokens. For each token, your hook timer is increased by 6 seconds.
All tokens are consumed upon use.
"I'm... I'm good... Just give me a breather..." - Doddle28, supposedly after having climbed a flight of stairs.

PTB bug report. They ######### up because they went live with this being broken. Imagine being able to play your killer just fine but then update comes out and he s all of sudden not playable . How would you feel?
Considering how they also did this to wraith, someone I main, pretty annoyed.
Just because they were aware of the problem doesn't mean they could fix it. They've confirmed they are aware of the bug, and have been working on it. They didn't get it fixed in time for the hotfix, however, and so it wasn't patched.
Be happy that at least yours was confirmed by the dev team. I have yet to see or hear of a response confirming that they know wraith is bugged right now (though if anyone has evidence of this I'll gladly retract this statement).
-
It also gives more unhook attempts and is pretty good in the Kobe-but-i-hate-deliverance build.
-
@Reborn2020 said:
And leave negative review. Hillbilly is broken . They ######### up really bad.
They've addressed they're aware of his issues and are working on a fix that doesn't break the game further. It wasn't ready in time for the hotfix.
Also I'd love to shut my wallet but they made a David skin and I really can't refuse.
-
No, I just play like normal, sometimes even go easier cause I know a lot of killers like playing MoriTheStreamer (I know this because a while back I was trying to get moried for a challenge between me and a friend and the way I eventually did it was to set my steam name to MoriTheStreamer.ttv).
I've even met a bunch of good friends through being nice to streamers. It's amazing what a little kindness can do.
-
I bought it when they reworked it from the ground up. Me & a friend used to play it when dbd annoyed us; we were awful at it, definitely, but loved it all the same. I'm really sad it shut down and all I have to remember it by is a Meg mask.

Why did you bring this back?
-
Yes, on both sides. I think my current ones are the Vial, the David doll, and the Iridescent Coin (I wanted that David skin). As a killer replace the David doll with the Entity Phone (though I'm considering using the phone over the Vial soon). While they're not the most visible in-game, it brings me a stupidly high amount of joy to slam a pallet in a killer's face (or a locker) and see my charms whipping around. On killer they bring a lot less joy since they sit there on hooks, but I still like them.
-
Okay so I'm biased against spirit because I hate her lmao but here's my take on the matter:
When I'm equipped with iron will and the spirit is good and doesn't have stridor, I can sometimes have a fun match against her provided my team aren't pepega. I can be random, I usually have Q&Q in my build for more juking potential, and when the spirit does outsmart me I'm not salty because I've had a chance and blew it. It was a guess for her as much as it was for me.
When a spirit uses stridor... Forget that and throw it all away, burn the remains, move to Mexico and start a vanilla farm. Stridor on spirit is an absolute disgrace and anyone who uses it instantly becomes one of my least favourite people because it removes the one thing you can do against a spirit while injured; walk. She knows where you are. You're screwed. It's game over before it begins.i despise stridor spirit more than an old 4 blink noed/ruin/infectious/sloppy nurse on the game. She is the antithesis of fun and I hate it.
One of two things should happen to spirt IMO (again OPINION):
-Indication when she's phasing. This doesn't need to be some neon flashing sign saying LOOKIE HERE I'M PHASING but something subtle yet noticeable from across a loop would be amazing. Therefore you know she IS phasing but she could be stood still waiting for you to re-vault, or could be circling around.
-Injured survivors' moans of pain are omni-directional. You can tell how close they are but not where they are just from their moans. Footsteps? Fine. Scratch marks? Fine. Just not the moans of pain. This removes the one thing I hate about spirit above all else- the uncounterability of stridor and I'd happily take this any day of the week.
-
You know the devs addressed this right? They didn't have enough time to edit every single existing map to Springwood/Lèrys standard, so. They tried to fix the most problematic issues. Those being god loops, map sizes, and tile spacing. These were addressed (except mothers dwelling is still ######### and don't get me started on yamaoka) and more will be in the future. The only one that didn't really get a change that I can see is Haddonfield- fences were meant to get smaller but I've seen at least three GreatFenceOfChina™s on a single map before (wish I took Screenshots lol).
Honestly if you get crushed this badly every game maybe it is you. Like, I get having bad games once in a while but it's statistically incredibly improbably you're matched with a death squad every game you play on an uber-safe map like Haddonfield.
Also full haddonfield rework leaked a while back fingers crossed.
-
I mean, as a solo survivor I've noticed games have gotten harder. Rank 1.
As a killer (rank 1/2) the maps I struggle most on are yamaoka (because ######### yamaoka), mothers dwelling still because of the sheer size of it, and gas heaven. The reworked maps (except dwelling) are now really easy to play on and my best advice is to literally play better. Learn when to chase and when to drop, when to find a gen lock and keep it; the only gen that matters is the last one.
Also, don't use noed. This isn't because of some entitled survivor main death to noed reason, but because it sounds like it's actually becoming a crutch perk to you like it was to me. Take it off before you become too reliant on it- I managed to get to rank 4, removed noed and found myself playing at rank 10 levels again. For the bettering of your killer experience in the long term, don't use that perk. It's a short term solution.
-
So my personal rule set aims to make as much fun for as many players as possible:
-Don't tunnel (this one I follow pretty hard; if the survivor was unhooked recently I'll slug them provided there are more than 3 gens up. If there are less & they were unhooked a while back but I haven't seen anyone else then I don't class that as tunneling).
-Don't camp (I define camping as staying around a hook for a prolonged period of time with no real purpose. Chasing someone? Fine. Looking for someone? Fine. Just standing there? Nah.)
-Slugging is fine.
-Don't use NOED. (I have a personal hatred for that perk because once upon a time I became overly reliant on it. I know a bunch of people currently are reliant on it, which is why I really want it changed).
-If a survivor decided to be toxic, do my best to not react. Give a gg, move on, and they'll see I wasn't hurt by it. Best way to respond.
-
I, personally, consider camping when a killer remains around one area for a prolonged period of time, despite a lack of survivor activity. They could be camping their totem, a gen, or a hooked survivor, doesn't matter. If nothings happened and they refuse to leave the area, I call that camping.
-
I don't think the rift pass should be shard available. While I dislike it, at least it's good value if you enjoy the skins and you've played enough. What I do think, however, is that when rift skins are released into the store (after minimum 6 months I remember being what they said) the outfits should be available for shards to not alienate the people who couldn't purchase the pass beforehand, due to lack of time, money, or weren't playing the game.
Plus I like my charms shh.

I'm not entirely sure that adding more entryways to the basement would be the right thing to do, after all the basement should be the most feared place by a survivor, and having only 1 entrance contributes to that in my opinion
Maybe they could try adding an hook spawn in Badham Preschool and Haddonfield in the house with the "fake" basement? The one that has 2 sets of stair to get in and out
Oh no i meant being able to drop down from several angles not literally have multiple stairways.
-
I mean, any spawn but shack has them. And personally I'd prefer if they didn't; basement hooks are more fun to rescue from and if they had multiple entryways then it would make basement defence a whole lot more fun too.

I knew her lullaby was Russian but never actually bothered to what it meant. That would be scary to think that as a child.
I'm just going off of what I heard back when I joined-- as a brit I've no clue on Russian folklore unfortunately
-
If I remember correctly she was inspired by a Russian urban legend instead, which is what her lullaby is based off of. Both the lullaby in the myth and her lullaby are the same, just obviously different people singing it.
-
Doctor is fine.
I don't like Shape at all so I think his URs need changing but honestly I think the entire character needs a rework to being him up to modern killer standards.
Freddy's lunge is identical to all other killers. It looks longer because he has a shorter weapon, and so much yeet himself forward a lot further than, say, trapper since his weapon is pretty hefty.
Please nerf iridescent heads when used in combination with infantry belt. It's about as fun to face as a bully squad if the huntress has more than 2 braincells and a mouse.

I want you to stop and think about the number of hours you're talking about here.
Maybe 1000 hours is nothing to you, I don't know what your life is like, but that's not some tiny amount of time.
Also, yes, low rank - completely new - killers will get matched against purple-red ranked people in groups of 4. It's not some unheard of thing, it's the norm, actually.
Believe me, I'm aware of the matchmaking issues. I said that it was currently being worked on, which is not a lie. Look at the January Dev update if you don't believe me.
1k hour sis a lot. 1k hours over 1 and a ahkf years is a lot. I brought this up because the person I was referencing said that after 900 hours, they didn't have a single character with all perks after NOT prestigeing them, which I marked (and I quote) as "interesting". Then I finished off by saying that they're probably just listing every negative thing to their friends without having ANYTHING positive to off-set that negativity. And if that's the case, and they can only think of negative things to say, then why still play the game at all?
-
Use that evidence and file a report, as well as filing an in-game report. As shown in the Screenshots, and what Peanits said, this is reportable since it was happening since before the EGC. There's nothing you can do to save THIS baby dweet but you can stop it happening to other baby dweets in the future.

@Axx said:
Every person I have tried to get to play the game has said no, or has quit due to fixable reasons. When they say no to joining me the main reasons why are the balance and grind. They ask me about the balance and I tell them the truth. The game is not balanced well. The new killer experience is awful. You face red rank survivors a lot. I tell them that even good killers can struggle due to the maps, and gen repair speeds. I talk about the meta, and how stale it is. I get into the topic of meta killers, and how most of the killers are weak when facing decent survivors. Then I move on to what SWF is, and how it can cause a lot of balance issues. After that I talk about the solo survivor experience. I tell them that solo survivor can be really fun, but dealing with the skill level of random teammates can get frustrating. Especially once you get decent at survivor. I inform them about face camping, and mori etc.
I talk them about the toxic nature of the community as well. Then the grind talk comes. This is by far the most off putting thing. Even with being able to get 2 perks per web at level 50, the grind is still huge. Currently I think DBD needs a lot of things done to make it more new player friendly. I have almost 900 hours and I don't even have all perks unlocked on one survivor or killer yet. I also never prestige. 900 hours is a lot of time to invest in a game. Most games you play by 900 hours you can have everything unlocked. No one wants to be at a disadvantage, especially for too long, and that is what the grind is like for new players. It is a huge disadvantage because you will be paired against people with perks. It makes people feel like they are being cheated.
Now, we have the matchmaking. The matchmaking is very bad for new players. On the steam forums we have multiple posts almost daily about new players, specifically killers, going against red rank survivors while being rank 10+. This is another thing that makes people feel like they are being cheated, and are at a disadvantage. No new fresh killer player wants to face experienced survivors with a full kit of meta perks. Players want a fair experience. Overall, if person asks me if they should get into DBD, I tell them no and tell them why.
That's interesting actually.
Maps and balance in general are currently being worked on; we've just has a massive patch as I'm sure you know where many problematic maps were fixed, or at least made a lot less problematic (cowshed). Matchmaking, as well, is currently being worked upon.
Swf definitely is an issue but only at higher ranks; at lower ranks killers dominate the survivors, so for a newer player that shouldn't even be mentioned as an issue yet. Particularly if you're trying to get them to play with you- they're going to be part of the swf.
And about you not having all the perks unlocked yet- that's definitely very odd. I had my first survivor P3 50 all perks by ~360 hours, and my first killer shortly after. I'm now at about 1k hours, and I've got 3 survivors P3 50 all perks, 2 killers P3 50 all perks, and I'm working on my third killer. The grind definitely exists but it's not as bad as you make it out to be; I wonder why you're suffering so badly?
Overall, it sounds like you're intentionally trying to paint the game in a negative light, instead of trying to convince other people to get the game. Its less of a "Oh the game is flawed because of x y and z, but it's really fun and I enjoy h b and k" and more of a "here are all the flaws of the game with no positives to counteract it, you'd basically be wasting your money."

- DS Activates because the killer allows it to. Stop complaining about DS, it's perfect in its state.
- Borrowed Time? Target the damn unhooker.
- Adrenaline lol A 1 time use perk only at end game, Jesus Christ the survivor is running 3 perks for a CHANCE at its activation and it doesn't guarantee an escape.
And I'm a killer main lol
I mentioned these perks because they're the ones that I see complained about most often; the only one I have a slight issue with is DS.

The team have stated their reasoning for removing the ability to disable AA in the config files; people were able to change other settings to gain an advantage. The developers are aware of this and if I remember @Peanits correctly then a fix is being worked on.
