The only time the developers will listen to you is if you are a rank 12 to 15 Survivor main who are mad that you can't beat one particular killer.
Damn didn't realise it was rank 12 survivors complaining about God windows being op and Bubba being weak, thanks for the update!
-
We're all gonna quit if these changes go live
Funny didn't realise you know what I'd do before I did, thanks for the update.
Personally the fact the devs listened to the feedback to make adjustments, and have said there's a chance of further improvements/add-on improvements in the hotfix afterwards shows they do listen. This game is a live game for a reason and anything is subject to change whenever.

i wouldn't be against it, but i do kind of feel like that will screw killers over more then anything, if SWF bully squads are allowed to decide who they will face then every single match will look like this
-Clown
-Clown
-Leatherface
-Clown
-Clown
-Leatherface
-Leatherface
good idea in principle, but not something i'd hold my breath over
Yeah but those same SWF bully squads would have to stream snipe them to enter their lobbies and firstly win the vote of playing killer. Especially since they don't know who they're facing until one of them dies.

Yeah but wouldn't it be really cool to see this on other platforms, like being able to easily vote on it on Twitch like you can in Hyperscape?

Probably because the majority of people who would buy this game either have or would rather buy it for PC or console. Giving the Stadia version a few exclusive features may encourage people to buy another copy or sway some newcomers to get it for Stadia.
I can't imagine any other reason this would be exclusive.
Me neither, and it's a royal shame cause this'd be sick to see.

it's already on... mobile? I don't know which platform it was just checked through the video. so i'd guess there will already be different indicators for killers and survivors alike?
anyone playing on the platform in question can give some input?
Yep it's on mobile. You also get indicators for nearby generators because usually you'd be able to hear it, for both killers and survivors. You get injured sounds shown too iirc, as well as hooked survivors. Also as survivor is the heartbeat, as you said.

If you see him getting close, run. Hold W and book it in a straight line as far away as possible. Sis can't hit you if he can't catch up, and will most likely be drawing some trenches too which slows down his distance gaining even more.
Don't try and loop. Pre-throw pallets then run away. Most good Pyramid Head's won't break any pallets unless they must (god pallets) and will try to force you into an animation. Don't take the bait and hold W- Scott made a decent video about how good holding W actually is.
Basically book it as far as possible, don't try and loop.
Also- many Pyramid Head's will use the perk I'm All Ears, unlockable at level 30 from The Ghostface. For those who don't know, it reveals the aura of any survivor who performs a rushed action within 40m for 6 seconds. This perk is countered by Quick and Quiet- so if you're having extreme difficulty juking him that perk can be a life saver (since him having wallhacks on you whilst being able to hit you through a wall isn't the best).
Don't group up, either. He can snowball easily by downing 2 people in quick succession and caging them both, sending them to opposite sides of the map sometimes. That action alone can win the entire game then and there. If you do group up, same as tip #1- if you see him approaching ######### leg it.
Good luck man, Godspeed.
EDIT: One last thing. If you must vault a window/pallet, run one way then instantly change direction. Many will have to predict you keep heading one way and fire just to your side. Changing directions that quickly will throw them off and cause them to miss, putting them into a 4-5 second cooldown in which you hold W and yeet yourself away. 20m of distance takes a long time to cover.

Killers: 266 (146 of which are on Pyramid Daddy)
Survivors: 143

I mean, go for it. Play how you want.

Pretty often, but how can I blame them? Their work is to do gens and so they do. I blame behaviour for making such an unbalanced game where survivor is hella easy and killer is often frustrating
Interesting, I haven't seen a team like this in months. The only one similar tried to do it on Ormond and still took 9 minutes for it all.

Remove negative healing from Autodidact. Make Boil Over stun killer every 3s. Buff fixated.
Monstrous Shrine automatically skips 30 seconds of the sacrifice phase and is applied to all hooks. During the struggle phase, survivors must now hit skillchecks. For each skillcheck they miss, they lose 15% of the total timer.
-
@gatsby said:
Generally, the area around a hook has been cleared of pallets or is just naturally unsafe because a Survivor was downed there. So its relatively easy to get free hits. Even top tier Survivors can't survive very long in dead zones.
However, if a Killer gets hit with Decisive Strike, the five second stun can easily give a good Survivor a head start to make it to safe tiles and areas with unused pallets. So even though they're injured the positioning they gained from the stun can create upwards of 30-60+ seconds of chase.
Most Survivor players don't realize how many times Killers get free hits because of positioning not actually because of winning chases or loops. Decisive changes a free hit into a nearly full length chase. It's like the equivalent of hitting someone working on a dead zone generator and having to loop them at the safe tile they used the speed boost from the hit to reach.
So basically, Killers aren't afraid of a stun. They're afraid of turning a free hit and slug into a full length chase.
So... they're afraid of the stun. Because it causes all of that.

Nah Wraith is fine. He could do with like, a small buff, but he's actually a lot stronger than people give him credit for.
Trapper just needs to start with more traps and be able to carry more than one without needing a bag. Also trap spawns need to be nicer to him.

I mean, you can go through my post history and see that I've always said that "genrushing" complaints are silly because they're just the survivors objective so of course they want to complete them.
Using anything "meta" is just smart. I might not LIKE certain perks design or gameplay implications, but blaming the players for using them is wrong. If they piss me off, it's the developers I need to blame.
As for toxic actions, that's a different animal. I don't go out of my way to be a jerk, I just don't (usually) think about my opponents "fun" when executing my strategy. (I let a metric ton of people out early in the crown event though, for instance. That was less about beating my opponents and more just a personal thing.)
In which case my respect for you has gone up pretty dramatically.

@Bovinity said:

That's right.
It's not the job of survivors to care about my fun (and they absolutely do not). Nor is it my job to care about theirs.
Great! Now you've admitted you can't complain about genrushing, meta perks, or toxic actions, if you ever bring those up I'll be sure to quote you on this.

When did devs say it is not cheating? Why they do not include it in-game and buff killers then?
If you believe voice comms is not cheating they I have nothing to discuss with you.
"If you believe voice comms is not cheating they I have nothing to discuss with you."
Okay, sure. Ignore the fact that this is called a General Discussions - and a discussion is definined as "the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas." - sure keep going with your viewpoint.

DBD as a multi-episode tv show would be ######### amazing. You start in media-rez, in the middle of a trial. Repairing gens, terrified, not a clue as to what they're doing. Being killed like flies. A couple episodes go by as we delve into backstories of killers and survivors, how they got there and what their lives were like before. Then we cut back to another trial, this time they've got more of a clue what to do. Montage of them getting better at trials then bam new character comes along. They gotta teach em everything they've learned.
Keeps up like this but you start to see the older characters losing hope, becoming more and more tired of it all. Until one day one of them just vanishes into the fog. Season ends with everyone crying, found a new resolve to keep going for [character's] sake, and they come out victorious in a trial.
Season 2 follows the missing character in the fog, lost and hopeless-
You get the point.

Did you ever see me saying that they are not "fun"? I call them noobs who abuse mechanic and literal cheaters (voice comms SWF) who are trying so damned hard on this game -while obviously playing casual mode- because they know they have the upper hand. Or let them play other balanced team PvP games and we will see how it goes.
Also, 90% of survivors already gen rush, use meta perks, so....
"literal cheaters"
Sorry man, devs have said it's not cheating. Cheating in DBD is a bannable offence and you can't be banned for using a voice comm. Unforunately it's their game, and they decide what is and isn't breaking their EULA.
"Also, 90% of survivors already gen rush, use meta perks"
Meta perk I'll agree to but genrushing? Really? I'm currently doing a project about collecting stats from games and so far the only games I've had that have been under 10 minutes have been when I've killed them too quickly (or this one time they sent me to Ormond and I gave up and opened the gates because I didn't feel like playing on Ormond for the fourth time in a row). In fact most match times are between 11 and 13 minutes. Considering gens take 80 seconds to complete, that's 400 seconds they need to spend on objectives. 11 minutes is 660 seconds, 13 minutes being 780. If you call that rushing then I'm sorry mate that's just not it chief.
-
@PerkyPerky said:
Yes like as a killer player I am not here to entertain the survivors or care the least about their "fun".
Besides, they just don't want to get good and use "fun" as an excuse. Killers have to learn multiple powers each with steep learning curve, survivors just want to hold M1 and "loop" and that's it, escape all games with second chance perks.
"Yes like as a killer player I am not here to entertain the survivors or care the least about their "fun"."
So I expect you to not complain about survivors who tbag or bring meta builds, or those who rush gens because they're the survivor player, they're not here to entertain the killer or care the least about their "fun".

I mean, just imagine the thing below charging at you with loud heavy steps or suddenly ambushing you with that FnaF3 screamer noise. I was against fnaf while ago too, but the more I think about it, the more it (Springtrap in particular) sounds appealing to me. He would certainly fit in roster of dbd murderous freaks.
Eh, I wouldn't exactly be too afraid of that. FNAF3 wasn't that scary to me- FNAF 1, 4, and 6 were definitely the scariest games of the bunch. It's unfortuante that everyone wants Springtrap because honestly I don't see the appeal.
tbh tho I don't see the appeal of FNAF in DBD at all so.
-
Thing is too this wouldn't even be that helpful for better players because they want skillchecks to hit greats so I'd be very happy with this change.
-
Personally I don't think FNAF would fit.
This is because I feel like they appeal to two completely different forms of horror. FNAF is more atmospheric, jumpscare form of horror. DBD is more slasher, supernatural forms of horror (i mean yeah, haunted robots, but at least fnaf 2 was actually based on tech being hacked). Basically I don't think it'd fit perfectly, and good lord please don't bring the majority of the FNAF fandom to DBD.
-
Here's how you counter him:
Hold w.
Trust me. It works.
-
Claudette because she's invisible.
David because he's incredibly hot and I'm incredibly lonely and thirsty.
Perk wise I usually run one of two builds:
- Head On
- Quick and Quiet
- Inner Strength
- DS/Detective's Hunch
Or
- Sprint Burst
- Iron Will
- Pluderer's Instinct/Inner Strength
- DS
As you can tell one build is for when I get annoyed at the game and one is for head on.
-
At op cause I forgot to say it,
I think they'd release it randomly to keep up hype for stranger things. It'd attract desperate fans to the game who want some ST content especially with the delay in filming thanks to 'rona.

ok I missed that and fair enough, but think of it this way, you can predict spirit by looking at the most optimal way for her to round the loop to get you. Try what would be a less optimal play with a killer who can see you and you may just escape. Its a different kind of mindgame that mixes up the current game state. If they change her to the usual then its just another killer to do the same loopy loop every other killer contends with.
Honestly she could still be like that but she just needs a reliable tell when she's phasing. Don't know WHERE she's phasing to, don't know how long she's phasing FOR, but just some sort of tell is all I need for now and I might stand a chance at having some fun.
That and making stridor not work in phase. That too.

This is part of the problem though, define fun to face?
I think she's fine, it's nice having killers with different mechanics so every game doesn't devolve into a loop fest.
Said this earlier but:
"Fun, for me, is being able to apply skills from both sides. Being able to use information you're given, or the lack thereof, to deduce something and react accordingly. Every killer has a tell to using their powers bar spirit. Every killer you can react to except spirit (and maybe slinger). Every killer I feel like I got well and truly outplayed by skill except spirit. With Spirit it feels like I guessed and guessed wrong, and guessing right just isn't satisfying. It's nowhere near as satisfying as predicting a blink from a nurse or a demo car tech."

If you wanna be real the game bends over backwards in it's core mechanics to make it easy as hell for survivors and that's not including perks buffs nerfs or loops so saying survivor and "skill" is a stretch
So you're telling me that my ability to run away from and hide from a killer takes absolutely 0 skill whatsoever and a rank 20 can perform as well as me regardless of hours put into the game? Gotchu, guess if I'm not No0b3 level of good then it's all the game's fault and not cause I lack skill.
