"Please keep in mind, though, that there's not that much time between releasing a PTB and the patch having to be locked in for certification. This is why a lot of the changes suggested on the PTB don't go live immidiately, but instead will arrive in the following hotfixes, or major updates (be them mid-chapter patches or major Chapter releases). Why do them at all? They do PTBs in order to get 3-4 weeks advance notice for fixing things in the hotfixes."

The important part of this message obviously being:

I don't wanna crush your dreams but take ps4/Xbox to PC crossplay as more a "it isn't happening" and be happily shocked if it does, rather than the other way around. All we know is they want it but there's no guarantee it could ever actually happen.

That's what I thought but just like GoodBoyKaru said I'm scared it'll automatically trigger an EAC/ VAC ban
That's exactly what happened to a buddy of mine anyway so, yeah, don't risk it.
-
No need for a dev or mod, I can confirm that it is. Even if not against BHVR's TOS it does violate Steam's TOS and will more than likely result in a VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban, which not even Steam support have the power to remove. Don't risk it.

DOES THE NEW OoO allow you to see killers with undetectable, or does it just screw you over again like fighting freddy or wraith??!?
It actually is the strongest perk in the game in terms of facing off against Freddy. Never ever underestimate the power of permanent, almost rangeless wallhacks on demand.

Thx. I think I have to look the things up in english. The german descriptions sometimes are not into detail so often.
The problem is that warden offering It look like its very rare. So...
What is about the situation the killer brings a map offering A and one or more survivors (I doesnt matter you said) brings map offering B? 50/50 right?
What is about the situation the killer brings a map offering A and one or more survivors (I doesnt matter you said) brings map offering B? 50/50 right?
In this case, with multiple map offerings, no. It becomes like a split between the offerings used- for example 1 offering A and 1 offering B would be 50/50 chance, however 1 A and 2 B would be a 1:2 split or 33% chance for A and and 66% chance for B. This would continue up; 1:3 split would be 25% chance for A and 75% for B, and the 1:4 would be a 20% chance for A and a 80% chance for B. It's almost statistically impossible for any other realm to be picked in these scenarios.

Hi guys, I dont play for so long and I just want to know how offerings, especially map offering are working?
Do they increase the chance additional by x% or is it just 100% then? And If two survivors or more bring the same offering the killer can't do anything against it because they stack? Does the green hand offering only block one of them?
Same thing for spawn together/solo, hook distances and chest offerings?
I think It is , right? So the trial is not in the killers (entities slave) hand. Its like I would write an exam and I could choose my tasks instead of the teacher? Or Iam completly mistaken?
Do they increase the chance additional by x% or is it just 100% then?
This depends entirely on the offering. Map offerings (the green ones) for example, have a modifier of 9999, which almost guarantees that map and bringing multiple of one offering is a waste. Luck offerings however, like Vigo's Jar Of Salty Lips, only increase luck by a small percentage (in the case of VJOSL it's 3%) so they're worth stacking.
And If two survivors or more bring the same offering the killer can't do anything against it because they stack?
Again, refer to the above passage. It depends entirely on the offerings used.
Does the green hand offering only block one of them?
I assume you mean the Sacrificial Ward offering:
This only affects map offerings. It cancels any and all map offerings unless 4 identical map offerings are used, so no, it can block up to 3. Which, I don't mean to be rude, you'd know if you read it.
Same thing for spawn together/solo
Depends on the offering rarity- the yellow Shroud of Union (survivor spawn together offering) is, I believe, cancelled out by a Shroud Of Separation (all survivors begin the trial apart), however the Shroud Of Binding (all survivors start together) is Very Rare and so cancelles out the Shroud Of Separation.
hook distances and chest offerings?
Yes, these all stack with/against each other as you'd expect. For example a Shiny Coin and a Cut Coin will cancel each other out.

I mean, when I have an obsession and I don't know why I tend to casually tunnel, because if they have DS then I need to bait it out so they can't abuse it during the EGC. Anyone who didn't show enough urgency in getting away from me after a recent unhook was suspect. And I didn't have to feel bad because they had DS.
Now I'll need to tunnel hard to avoid that skeezy Decisive Strike after the gates open.
And you're the reason people used the perk!

You mentioned Michael with scratched. Because he's undetectable in Tier 1 I dont think OoO will trigger here. If it did, would be lethal against him as you can say "Aww its scratch Mike, avoid him". Or Wraith in cloak. So stealth killers should not be effected by this. You can always make those perk tells anyways. You dont need a perk to do so. You have Nancy's Better Together perk which doesnt tell you what perks killer has but gives a better aura reading. Honestly, say what you will, OoO is not busted... but very close to.
The point is, you'll be able to tell they have those add-ons because the perk will light up when your aura is being revealed, if my assumption about how it works is correct. So if a Wraith has All-Seeing, for example, and the icon for OOO lights up when he's near you now have a built-in Wraith-radar, same for Scratched Mirror Myers, you'll know when he can see you.

I G-1 Brikin is mostly human, just with a massive mutated arm. I agree though that he probably wouldn't be able to reach G-3, G-4, or G-5 though because in those stages he'd be way too big for the game.
That large arm would not be good at rubbing it though

If the devs are going to make a Resident Evil chapter for dbd, then I'd like it to be about Resident Evil 7, because imo that's the RE game that would fit the most.
I see a lot of people want Mr. X, but if we're going for an RE 2 chapter, I'd actually prefer Birkin as a killer. I just like him more than Mr. X.
Birkin = a mass of eyes and claws, not simpable.
Mr X = hot strong man that could crush my skull like an egg, simpable.
Therefore Mr X > Birkin

You are ignoring many examples of not being tunneled but still having DS. Though the new changes make me happy. I do wish locker back was excluded to make it perfect, but hey... these changes are big
And if you're not being tunneled and still have DS up with new DS, then you've managed to do absolutely nothing for up to 59 seconds since your unhook and have been complete deadweight to your team. Again I don't see an issue; if you want that sweet sweet DS value and you jump into a locker then the killer knows you've been useless and will continue to be so until your DS runs out so they can- and I'm well aware this is an incredibly novel concept here so please stay with they can just...
(whispering) ...chase someone else.
:0
-
Honestly I think they should, but they do need to be careful. Sometimes the suggestions on these forums can be... Absolute batshit crazy, let's say.
But something else I like is the whole opening up perk consultation like they did with OOO to get feedback. I really hope people are civil with this because I'd adore it if dbd did this more often.

Some perks are created to synergy with other perks/Killers. An example is clearly Zenshin Tactics + PWYF. Then you have Stridor + Spirit or Spirit Fury (which is garbage alone) + Enduring.
why would Zanshin Tactics be good with PWYF? you mean Nemesis?
-
Sure!
Head to this link and select "additional player report information". Fill out all the necessary details and specify which platform they're on (I made this mistake by forgetting this and being told that I didn't include someone's SteamID even though they were cross-play, which was certainly an experience). Upload your footage, either attach a file or if this doesn't work then use a link to a YouTube video or maybe Twitch VOD in the "decription of issue" box and wait for a response.
You won't be told if someone has or hasn't been banned, but when you recieve your 2nd email back is usually when they've either taken action or decided they weren't hacking (which in this case, they clearly were lol).

@ChiTenshi said:
The whole premise is a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation. Allowing Killers to see the hook counter may allow certain players to tunnel better, but not allowing Killers to see it may cause accidental tunnelling. A choice had to be made, and they did whilst giving valid reason.
Now BHVR do say that tunnelling is a valid tactic, but they don’t want it used to create toxic situations. They’re fine if you use it during EGC to secure a kill, they’re not fine with a Killer specifically targeting one Survivor to ruin their day. They have the left the situation up to the Killer to keep count and decide if they want to tunnel or not.
This answer exactly ^^

Then clearly the priority of ultrawide screen support hasn't changed and there's been more pressing issues to deal with.

but you did specifically say the remake
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
Iirc, Deliverance trumps Second Wind meaning that Second Wind wastes its effect, although I might be wrong on that.
Second Wind doesn't activate if you're broken and Deliverance causes the broken effect for 60 seconds, so you'd be correct. Second Wind just wouldn't activate and would remain until your second hook and subsequent unhook.
So no, they don't work together.

Mr. X looks dumb with his stupid hat
I'd rather Mr. X than Nemesis though that may just be because I want more killers to thirst for.
+ IMO he'd fit better with the game; his entire AI involves searching for you and then hunting you down instead of Nemesis who just kinda does... scripted things.

@PodgeNotRodge said:
For the "fixes" to OoO and DS... have they really considered these?
I mean both are greatly damaging and super strong and abused sure. We all agree. But now Object is down to what seems to be a dogshit perk now. Something that you may aswell run kindred or dark sense. A different rework would be better.
The new DS now just flipside the uselessness to some degree. Now where it's a hindrance on killer is now making survivors useless for a solid minute AND CAN STILL BE BEAT BY SLUGGING. They are now forced into the situation if they're not being tunneled (if they want to use the perk) to being chased by killer. It's the thought of "Oh, cant heal anyone. Cant do gens, cant hook save without losing it. Might aswell deliberately get tunneled to extend game time" 🙄 if you face an Oni, you are giving him his power for the sake of your DS to work. And like most high ranked ones, they will still slug you. Spirit too. Wraith with his blood trail addons benefits. So many killers will be able to punish this with nobody being able to do anything about it. It's just making a survivor useless for a solid minute which just grind games to a halt in benefit for killer which is funny cause it's a survivor perk.
I agree with the need for balancing these perks but these changes are ill considered if they decide to finalize these details. They need to consider every possibility for these perks in situations in game. Again we dont want destroyed perks that dont make you want to use them again. We want them eased while still giving benefit and progression.
With the new OOO I actually think it'll be a good perk still, instead of downright busted. You can tell if the killer is using BBQ and if they are you get a free 4 seconds of Kindred without anyone needing the perk. You can tell if they have Nurse's and run in the opposite direction, or if it's a stealth killer just that they're onto you and you need to be incredibly careful. Bitter Murmur huntress? You can play accordingly and get out of the way. Compound 21 Blight? Now you can see him too. You'll know if a Wraith has All Seeing or a Michael is Scratched mirror because it'll light up and tell tou- it does everything Distortion would do but infinitely better.

I believe they're talking about how they've seen some people complaining about the nerf to ds, and are likening it to healing nerf when healing went from taking 12 seconds to 16, asking people to please instead of complain adapt to it and the new playstyles it brings.

Survivors shouldn't be able to stop slugging with locker DS. DS is not anti-slugging perk and should never be
you can literally just chase someone else and now either someone does nothing towards progressing the game for 60 seconds or loses their DS for when you find them again; you should only be hit with a locker DS after these changes if you're genuinely tunneling someone. I don't see an issue.

Pop- 60 second timer, up from 45.
Corrupt- lasts until 2 other generators have been completed or 120 seconds elapses, whichever happens last.
Stbfl- start with 4 tokens.
Ds- lasts until the next survivor is hooked.
Adrenaline- 30 second Exhaustion, down from 40
Dh- it actually functions now.
Ooo- unlimited range.
Sb- 30 second Exhaustion, down from 40

People find all killers boring to verse. However, you will find far fewer "clown is boring" or "demo is boring" threads than you will find "spirit is boring" or "freddy is boring" threads. The stronger the killer, the more frequent they are boring, there is a correlation to this.
Actually many people find clown boring as his gameplay consists of run to pallet, pre-drop pallet, wait for wallet to break, repeat. His counter is to hold M1, boring. None of the fun mindgames.
Compare that to, say, Demo, whose gameplay consists of lots of fun mindgames, his Shred possibly being used at any given time so you have to be prepare for it, needing to perfectly time the pallet stun less he shreds it and you lose a lot of distance. The only complaints I have with Demo is that his Shred hotbox is very wonky since dedicated servers, and he's not that strong of a killer so not many people play him. It's significantly more fun to face a Demo than a Clown ever will be.
