Survivors can literally still bully killers while perkless I don't know what to tell you.
Maps are a bigger issue than perks ever will be, with the exception of maybe Circle of Healing pushing any killer that doesn't commit to chases from "bad but you can kinda play them" to "literally unwinnable with this perk".

Oh yeah uh I think I played against @Nathan13 the other day

Idk I play Pyramid Head and do okay mostly
There's a couple loops he struggles on but even then you can do fancy things survivors don't expect.

The point im making is the reasoning behind the TR nerf was to standarddize all 4.6 killers to have the same TR, then a bit later Sadako comes around and just ignores that. Its werid to me
To be fair that "a bit" is like 3 years. A lot can change in that time.
Plus slinger did it first, 110 killer with 32m terror radius.

I mean, stealth Killers aren't exactly strong. The strongest we've ever had was Wraith and he got hit with a huge nerf and CoH.
He's got better anti-loop but she has better game delay. I'll have to see how her Condemned plays out on live. It seems like it won't do much.
Stealth killers have also never had the ability to teleport around the map before.
-
Not by legal means within the game no.

Its odd they nerf Pig? Since when?
This was like a couple weeks after Pig's release tbf it was a while ago

@Pulsar said:
I think she MIGHT be at an acceptable point for release.
I don't think the buffs fixed her main issues (the lack of threat Condemned poses and her inability to close out chases) but they may put her in a good enough spot for now. She won't be in Legion-tier, so you might have some fun with her.
She's still weak, but not the worst licensed Killer. I'm still not particularly interested, but that's not really Sadako's fault.
She's like the best Stealth killer in DBD. All we need is for a COH nerf and she'll be one of the best killers with these changes tbh.

You can't know it because there is no situation MMR is actually working as intended.
It may actually be working nicely if it tries to match with same MMR, but it won't happen, never.
Oh no the algorithm itself could be flawless but the actual rating itself is intrinsically flawed at judging skill due to only considering kills + escapes sans hatch. Doesn't matter how good your algorithm is if you're basing it off of the wrong value to start with
-
Bubba is still the camping king but no, ever since the RE chapter dropped Nemesis was easily the killer that tunneled and hit on hook the most, somehow overtaking Pyramid Head, the killer with the ability to very easily tunnel survivors built into his kit.
-
@fulltonon said:
Not because MMR, it's because killer scarcity.
No MMR itself is intrinsically flawed at judging skill too

Me when I stereotype a group of people wanting to promote their small stream
-
Because that's how backfill works and you were the closest to the requested MMR so it shoved you right back in there

On the contrary, I've found that it does a lot more good against SWFs than solos. Sometimes NOED is the only reason I can get 3-4k against sweat squads. It's a gamble, because SWFs are more likely to find it right off the bat, but they're also more likely to be cocky about whatever they're attempting. NOED can screw them up postgame like nothing else if they're overconfident. Solos are more likely to turn tail and run once they realize you have it.
Totally agree about it building bad habits, though. That's why I begrudgingly had to stop running it on every killer - I realized a lot of my 4k games were a direct result of using it and that I had started to look forward to it so much that it made me lazy.
What I've discovered is that swf are much more efficient and better coordinated on cleansing totems, preventing NOED from even activating in the first place, and can let each other know where a totem is in the first place. Solos may turn tail and run but SWF can find the totem and the rescue their buddies, leading to a 4e rather than a 3e1k, for instance.

Also works well with: Trapper, billy, hag, doctor, freddy, pig, slinger, trickster, nemesis, and pinhead.
How does holding down your power button during a chase help you as Trapper, Hag or Pig?
I think OP means faking. As in, crouch and uncrouch as pig, touch your toes as Trapper, or do some squats as Hag.

Which is absolutely stupid in such cases. Let's protect the hacker and his friend helping him from having his matches dodged. I understand people with the same name could be unrightfully targeted, but let's be honest: what are the chances for two other people with the exact same name in a swf to be in your match?
Right, let's use Orion (rip) as an example. Look on Steam right now for the amount of people called Orion, or who have Orion in their names at all.
Spoiler: there's a lot.
So yes, the rule exists to prevent people from being unfairly harassed because other people share their names. With some more uncommon ones (like my own) then absolutely, but this isn't a case by case rule, it's a flat one, to prevent unfair harassment.
-
@egg_ said:
If you know there's a hacker in your match maybe killing other players isn't the best play. Let them do gens and as soon as they're done open the gates, otherwise the hacker will keep you hostage
Tbh they'll still keep you hostage
-
This ^
It's my one major grievance with the perk, I am trying my absolute best to not tunnel you despite your teammate making a very unsafe save, please do not make me because I really don't want to.
-
As killer, it's probably Sprint Burst. Dead Hard pisses me off but Sprint Burst just stops me entering a chase to begin with and since I main no mobility ability killers it messes with me the most.
As survivor, NOED. It's a backwards perk, helping more vs solos than swf (in other words it'll help you when you don't need it) and teaches bad habits because if you keep using it eventually you'll begin to crutch on it and won't be able to play without it.

That's what I've been doing but with artist. Predicting where they will run off to and aim a birb there.
Pretty easy to do since every survivor in my lobby loves doing it.
Yeah but it's more fun with PH
-
Okay but no because I like using POTD in a straight line and getting them anyway because nobody expects you to just use it like a Huntress Hatchet. Far more satisfying.

Well... teabagging HAS negative impact on their gameplay most of time too, and it's the reason most people simply goes away in my games instead of wasting time on it I guess.
Correct it does, like I said in the comment it loses them distance. They still do it obv but there's better ways to do it as killer that don't waste time bc efficiency is key π€·π»
-
In this photo, blur the name. The forums aren't the right place to report cheaters and there's a policy about blurring names if it could reflect negatively on someone.

Mmm, perhaps I should try to hit twice or more once I hook someone, so they get tilted and play worse.
Eh, go for it. I don't tbag/click/kebab cause I just find it boring but if you want to, sure. Make them tilted and make them play worse, irdc on your playstyle at all. It's still valid, and if they're being annoyed by it it's their fault :/
If they're being annoyed to an extreme extent by something as simple as tbagging then there's probably something underlying - like for me, I was getting so pissed off at dbd that I broke several keyboards, turns out I have serious anger management issues lmao. If this annoys you so much then better safe than sorry and check out someone that can help bc there's probably something else causing you to get this angry.
Save the reports of toxicity for the actual toxic things, like being told to die, being called a slur, or (and I quote) "Speaking Nazi".
Just know that hitting on hook actually has a negative impact on your gameplay because it takes time - shaking/nodding your head when you down someone usually has the same effect and you can fit it into your blade wipe animation.
-
All I'm saying is if you're getting tilted it's working. It's just some people going clicky clicky/tbagging and, while they're usually being an ass about it, they're also doing it specifically to piss you off. If you just don't care and play as normal all that happens is they lose a lot of distance.
Tilt has a substantial impact on your gameplay after all.
-
I'm just gonna say the ability to force survivors to lose like 10m of distance as a killer without a movement ability, particularly early game so ruin may still stand, or risk having their dead hard completely negated is massive. Also it shuts of Sprint Burst, too, or forces them to walk between gens for 35 seconds.
The issue comes from not being able to guarantee all 4 survivors have an exhaustion perk, but when you get value you get a lot of it. If there was more room in my build (aka I didn't love points to much) I'd use it a lot more than I do.

Yeah I was thinking about buying the 70$ version but i dont think I want to take the time to learn all the characters.illl keep an eye out for sales and I'll just buy the ones I want. I picked billy bc he was listed as easy but his chainsaw is really hard to control, but a simple mechanic. I was watching otzdarva and felt a little overwhelmed about all the "meta" add ons and perks. Im just gonna enjoy tthe game for what it is now.
If you feel like you want to buy older characters, wait for a new chapter to be released (or just Anniversary in general). There's a lot of sales on this game, particularly older content, so to get the best value for money if you wait for new chapters then you'll likely be able to purchase them on like a 50% discount.

Imma have to disagree with you here coach. Ask anyone in the community if they wanted the masks removed and it would probably be 2% of the player base. The average player knows that that isn't black face or whatever stupid reasons they gave and also acknowledge that 1, this is a game about a crazy killer going around killing people while they have to do gens and 2, there are other things like cheaters, broken addons, broken perks, broken maps, and other ######### that need to be addressed.
The masks are gone my guy, get over it.

Nah, this is 100% bait, there is an animation if you try to crawl out with an active trap. This guy probably had someone who was downed with an inactive trap and assumed it would still pop. Inactive traps dont pop when trying to escape. Active traps pop regardless of the situation.
The funniest one IMO is if you try to dead hard past the point(which is about half-way through the gate).
remember when dead harding through the activation point would actually prevent you dying? good times

I do believe that Quentin got his face updated, since the actor of him, posted a tweet where he said that people started telling him that his in game model looks like a goblin and bhvr should do something about it. Which they did, and now he looks way better.
Here is the video comprising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYVbVjM5lZo
(Can't find his tweet, but it's there somewhere)
He got a facial upgrade, yes, but not the likeness of Kyle. Because, shockingly, actors retain legal rights to their faces, and so the fact that they can't get the likeness to James isn't at all surprising.
-
probably not but i like to flex + dont wanna regret not doing so later so everyone i plan to max perks on i get to p3 first.

Remember, it will rob you of hits when you're literally sniffing their hair and yet this is perfectly acceptable gameplay.

You need some form of identification/ID from them to report
There's no 'Offender ID' I can provide. Their usernames are typically just a bunch of boxes. This is the problem.
With normal reports you use SteamID but there's no such thing for Epic/Windows store
If you can't get their characters from their name I honestly don't know. Use their gamertag and hope you don't have to remind them that Windows Store players can't have a Steam ID.

Neither do I, when It comes to them balanced the game. But they do most of the time gives us original unique ideas that stand out and give us the brilliant creative lore aspect.
I do wish though, Behavior not only does a better job at listening to Playerbase feedback and properly gives us some significant Quality of Life improvement changes; but at least give us a fan made submission chapter too.
I kinda want a chapter idea, created by the fans and then be embraced by the Devs to fully implemented into the game.
Balancing has nothing to do with my point. The lore team turned Nurse from a sympathetic villain to someone that believes in eugenics like... they ruined her lore and it was tragic. And considering their handling of this, I do not trust them to handle DID- a very sensitive issue- along with many other mental illnesses.
Multiverse? I believe in them. Mental illnesses? Not at all.

Like a split personality disorder type of killer; one whom thinks they are just another lost soul in the Fog; but in reality a malicious inhuman individual whom betray their "friends" to the Entity. That would be interesting concept
I'm gonna be honest, I don't really trust BHVR to handle DID (especially not after the Nurse Tome disaster) so I'm really not sold on that idea.

Uhhh. Do my memories trick me now or was there not a stun after missing a knife hit while in frenzy? It's so long ago. I just can remember that you after the rework got basically penalized for even breathing. Exaggerated said.
All I wan't is that you can multiple times stab in frenzy, without being stuned, or getting a black screen, or whatever Behavior possible could code in to stop you from doing just that.
If that action lowers the mend timer, or makes just a tiny amount damage, or whatever... That is almost... ->almost<- (not totally) unimportant for me. Back in the day I had not buy the dlc because I had the picture of "mending everyone to the end of the world" in my mind. I had bought it because I thought on all the stabby movies^^. And well... Because I loved their story. I need to admit that :|

There currently is, which was added during the initial rework. Before this, as I'm sure you know, you didn't have to actually hit with your power for a while because you could just keep swinging for free.
As it stands, though, hitting a survivor currently affected by Deep Wounds while using Feral Frenzy will cancel your power, as it always has.

Didn't they revert that locomotion update?
If I remember correctly, people whined a bunch about what was a very visually appealing change because they weren't capable of adapting.
Lots of "nobody likes this" was being thrown around, as I recall. I'd spit in disgust at that, but... Yeah.
But maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing?
Unfortunately the things I liked (turning animations) were removed while the awful new running + running while injured animations stayed. It wasn't an entire revert.
What got a lot of people pissed off, though, is that we were promised the changes would be "purely visual". They would not impact gameplay or movement in any way. And so naturally, when it turns out the changes were more than purely visual and did, in fact, impact gameplay and movement people were rightly annoyed that they were lied to. Again.
at least we got to keep being able to crouch while using an item, though. so there's that.

I don't get it, 1.5k hours are HELLA LOT of hours.
People learn the game at different speeds and they learn different parts of the game at different times. When I was new I learned looping very early on but consequently I was consistently missing skill checks 1.5k hours in because I'd barely had any practice with them. My bf meanwhile (about 2k hours now), absolute gen god because he's had a lot of practice on interactions and he's very good at hitting great skill checks, but as such his overall chase needs a lot more work than mine does.
