So devs @bhvr, i have a big issue

Hello devs and everyone here , i hope you can find an answer.

i play mostly Solo as Survivor or killer , as survivor i'm matched with Gamers @5k -> 10K hours so if i understand correctly i have a good sbmm ? thats fine .

But i play , too with my wife and my sons , who by their gameplay had not my lvl of sbmm and we are getting matched with gamers of my sbmm so they die too quickly to have 3 gens done, its easy to find weakness.

So what should i do ? Smurf my account and bully killers so they can have some fun ?? and taking risk to be reported because i afk a lot of game ? or just simply you can't allow gamers to play in Family with not the same sbmm or quit the game ??

Devs @bhvr this is a serious questions and i would like an answer .

  • Well how this is BHVR's fault? You are playing SWF, even your teammates are not good but you are SWF. So SWF is looking your SBMM levels and then you guys are facing with high-average killer.

What you can do? They are your family, so teach them game. Nobody is perfect at start but they will get good.

you dont understand , they all have 1.5k hours and more but we have a life other than gaming, they dont want to tryhard, we all have a job i point the fact that SBMM is poorly Done and BHVR doesnt even think that Families can play together with big SBMM Gap.

  • Get them their own account.

If they do not want to try, they are going to get destroyed by someone trying. That is inevitable. Mmr should mostly help with that, if you feel the killers are too high quality, just give them a free kill to lower your mmr as the average will go down.

i think its the best option atm but i would like to play as i want to -> when i solo i want good killers so i can progress but when we are together i want them to have good games too i more frustated to see them they cant play atm

I don't get it, 1.5k hours are HELLA LOT of hours.

  • they played a lot before SBMM now they play 3/4 Hours a week but they never wanted to learn how to run a killer.

Still, you'd think at 1.5k+ hours they should have a decent grasp of the game. What would your solution be?

i dont have a "Good" solution i can lower my sbmm , so they can have fun wich will end into bully some killer for me and i dont want it to because i want to progress, the other solution is stop DBD in family wich is not an option . so i'm stuck

  • I wouldn't consider it "bullying" when survivors have obvious weak-link tbh.

they played a lot before SBMM now they play 3/4 Hours a week but they never wanted to learn how to run a killer.

This is a common problem in mixed swf's, mixed in terms of purely relaxed casual players and ...players that "played more often, more serious".

I assume most of the time you are the one running the killer while your family is sitting on gens? I'm playing at low low mmr (and I worked hard for this ;) ) and I get groups like this regulary: one player who is experienced playing with his non-serious often new-to-the-game buddies.

It is very unwise for the experienced player to take the aggro. The casuals will only learn to sit on gens, hide and then get out of the gate. While escaping a lot of games feels nice for sure, they have not learned how to deal with more experienced killers or killers in general and they go down in a few seconds, often not even requiring the most simple of mindgames.

You should get a new account, maybe a free epic one from someone you know or just get the base game on another steam account (only a few bucks on external sites), perhaps even family sharing would be enough. Then you let them take the aggro and only step in to save them from hooks or protect them from tunneling. Will they die more often? For sure! Will their escape rate go down? 100%! But they will learn to deal with the killer, escape chases, etc. Let them carry their own weight and soon you will be able to switch back to your main account.

  • People learn the game at different speeds and they learn different parts of the game at different times. When I was new I learned looping very early on but consequently I was consistently missing skill checks 1.5k hours in because I'd barely had any practice with them. My bf meanwhile (about 2k hours now), absolute gen god because he's had a lot of practice on interactions and he's very good at hitting great skill checks, but as such his overall chase needs a lot more work than mine does.

So the devs need to do something because the majority of people in your SWF don't want to learn to play the game properly?

I get your argument from a match making point of view but at the same time you can't then say that they are just not trying to improve.

Also what happens if you all start going against baby killers and you are just constantly running rings round the killer? That's hardly fair either is it
