For the past few days, i keep getting put with try-hard survivors who sometimes aren't even SWF. They are getting things done so fast and it feels like my Thandataphobia isn't cutting it as much as it used to.
I was thinking of changing it back to Ruin, but after two matches with it, it kept getting broke within two minutes. I think it would massively help in Thandats place, but its just an empty perk slot once its gone. I know most of you would say use Undying, but my other slots have been taken with perks i need
Any advice? Should i use Ruin or stick with Thandat?
I've been running corrupt/ruin It's not the best idea ever to run those 2 both together, but I have been getting some good luck with ruin not being gone in the first 30 seconds with it. It's been hard lately, because people are trying to do gens as fast as they can, and get out. You could go ahead and try ruin/corrupt it's not a bad combo, because even if ruin gets destroyed in the start you still have corrupt uptime.

For starters, we need to tone down what counts as "toxic".
Camping and tunneling is not toxic.
NOED is not toxic.
Add-ons and Items are not toxic.
Just because something is good/strong or effective does not make it toxic, yet that makes up like 90% of all claims of toxicity that isn't related to end game chat.
I'm just talking about bitterness in end game chat. Not actual mechanics.

All of us can't lie to ourselves we have to accept the truth.
-
No lies in this one. Yui's face looks like it got ran over by a car tire, and somehow deflated a bit. Meg looks like she's constipated. Claudette because only toxic players play her, so I can't exactly say much but she's in D because of that, and along with feng and nea.

This tier list is very objective because it’s a fact Yui is the hottest survivor in the game
New survivor is hot S tier. Yui looks like a potato belongs in D tier, and kate is the hottest. Meg and feng are in D tier along with nea and claudette.

He is really one of the fair killers. He have counterplay against him. You just need to stay awake. That is all. And when you are in dreamworld other survivors can awake you. Or you can awake yourself with fail skill checks. Or dreamboxes. Simple.
When you are not in dream world, Freddy loses so much power. All killers fair enough. Just Spirit need counterplay, that is all.
I must be living in a different universe if he doesn't need tweaks, but yea he has counterplay, but at the same time his kit is overly bloated.

Dude if clown could beat them reliably then so can SO MANY OTHER KILLERS that are better than clown.
They are called deathsquads for a reason since you're not beating them without playing a top tier killer, btw 2k hours majority of it as killer.
Like if you did beat a deathsquad it was entirely luck since clown is a 1v1 killer and they just gen rush you by having at least one on a gen constantly most of the time at least 2 and you're not out pressuring that.
Sorry my comment above was meant to be for you. If you wish to read it and respond you can. Apparently the quote button was broken for me.
-
What counts as a top tier killer though? If you have a lot of hours on a killer and you have mastered them, then that killer can be top tier for you, because that's just how it works. Would I have beaten them with trapper or wraith or legion for that matter? Nope, because it would've literally been actually impossible, because they have zero chase potential. Clown has major chase potential, and I had gotten lucky with some good map rng. If I had gotten worse map rng a few times I'm absolutely positive I would've lost. It's called slugging though. I said I slugged all 4 of them in the long run, and I was able to have surge pop off most of the time, because I would push them near the last 3 gens I had, because it would literally be down to 1 gen after about 3 minutes in the game. I was able to hold pressure, because I got stacks of STBFL going. Clown is a 1v1 killer, but what other killer can pressure more than 1 survivor at once? Your context makes absolutely no sense. I pressured them by trying to chase them around the gens. Slug next target slug next target slug next target and keep going. I'm not a bad killer who can't end chases quickly. My average chase was incredibly quick, because it's incredibly difficult to loop a good clown, and I started making that area around me dead zoned. IF I did go for a chase somewhere else I wouldn't fully commit to it, unless I know I could press them towards the gens quick enough so I could keep an eye on the gens, and have surge pop off. They would try and run far away from the gens, but if I knew I wasn't able to down them in at least 20 seconds I did not commit to it. I made sure I kept pressure up towards the end. Lets say if I got the game map or lery's or somewhere else for that matter. Would I have beaten them? Nope I sure wouldn't be able to. I got some of the better killer maps. Just because you have 2k hours does not automatically mean you're good at the game. If you split that time, and you play different killers. Chances are you have not mastered a certain killer. Now I don't know how much time you have on this killer x or this killer, but I have 1700 hours, and 1k+ of that is on clown alone, so I think at that point I have mastered him considering I know how to throw every tile, and what do to and what not to do, that's how I was able to beat them, because I have mastered him.

It's not that scary at all. This kind of stuff happens all the time, and most of the time the hackers can't do much with the information anyways. That or your information doesn't mean much. Very rarely is information used to do things. It would be scary if this happened to steam or like an email service/banking or whatever.

That's being coordinated. Deathsquads are all Dead Hard/Sprint Burst/Lithe, Object, DS, Unbreakable, Borrowed, Prove Thyself, running early to every loop, gens as far as possible, never healing unless needed in the moment, running as far away from any gen currently being worked on, always split up, telling teammates when the killer is leaving, letting a teammate die to finish a last gen. Tournament-level survivors.
I severely doubt you've faced multiple different groups like this as Clown in one day, as they are extremely rare. This is like playing Clown against 4 sweating Ayruns, you're just not gonna win.
Yep, like I said that's what I faced yesterday. Only reason I won every match was because I slugged them. I don't know, but I know MMR was working for me yesterday. I literally had to 1 hook everyone in order to win, and I don't like doing that. IF MMR was working as attended, then it would make sense that I got those kind of groups, because like I said I lose about 1/100 games using clown, and yes Object was frequent. They would run by the time I got around to them, but I tried pushing gens closer to an area I would stand a chance, because the first few gens every single match would go with corrupt up still. I had to put on surge in order to even remotely compete. I kept rolling with STBFL with 8 stacks and tried my best to save the obsession for last. Which prior to MMR I didn't run anything but corrupt for gen defense. If that doesn't tell you that I was going against some insane squads then I don't know what will.

I didn't record any matches yesterday. I was too busy sweating winning, because all I kept getting was tryhards, but if I get any matches today I suspect are deathsquads I will record them. Although not sure if MMR got turned off again, and I'm going to get potato's or not, but I will see.

Yea he tried that, but it just didn't work on us. That's the problem with freddy. He isn't as bad as people make it seem to face him. Sure if you get greddy he can wipe the floor, but if people play it safe. He literally has zero chase potential if everyone just holds shift w. He becomes trapper until he catches up even then gens are going to pop soon after.

You weren't facing deathsquads. It is basically impossible to win against an actual deathsqaud as Clown. There is a huge difference between "pretty good" and a deathsquad.
You sure about that? I don't know how you're going to tell me what I faced and not faced. It's not impossible to win against a deathsquad as clown as long as you know what you are doing. I'm sorry people haven't put 1k hours into the guy like I have and some others have, but alright. I faced pretty good swf's prior to MMR, and yesterday all I got were 4 rank 1's with full loadouts all meta, and 3 gens popping even with corrupt up. Knew what they were doing, and yes they were deathsquads, because I rarely ever faced them before MMR came out.

Freddy is kinda capable of facing SWF due to his inherent slowdown and anti loop aswell as his BT counter. Also has blindness to counter OoO if you suspect it
Oni is and M1 killer for most the match
Problem with freddy against swf is that you can hold shift w and just automatically win the match. He has no way of catching up to everyone if everyone just runs when they see him. I had a solo squad the other day do that to a freddy, and he literally only got 1 hook the entire game, because we all just ran before he even got remotely close. He wasn't a bad freddy either.

S and A will be competitive with high win potential.
B will be inconsistent.
C and D will almost never win.
If clown is C tier then I must be some god, because I won all of my games against deathsquads using him yesterday like I always usually win with him. I lose about 1/100 games using the guy, so I have no idea. I guess nobody will truly fully understand until they put hundreds of hours into him to see how strong he actually is if done right.

I've always had a strong distaste for that window to the left of the stairs. The longer drop. There's also a very strong basement window that sometimes spawns.
Even if the basement window doesn't spawn you can literally run the 2 top windows infinitely and there is nothing the killer can do about it most of the time.

For some extra clarification the House of Pain is the house with a basement in, a pallet downstairs, and at least one window at the top of the staircase.
The Strode House, also called the Myers House, is the house with the actual Basement in, as well as 3 windows upstairs, two of which are guaranteed to be at the back of the house.

@DarkAster said:
Can you do a killer tier list of strong for you?
Lets be honest this is the proper tier list right here. In no particular order. I've gone against some of the top 10 blight players, and without a doubt he is an S tier killer. There is absolutely no contesting it either. He can be much more deadly than spirit, if the blight player knows tiles properly. Clown was B tier before, and he still is B tier. His yellow bottles knocked him up higher in the B tier list. Combine Smelly inner soles and corkstopper or Flask + ether 15% And the chases are over before they begin. You can't loop a god tier clown. All you can do is hold w for as long as you can. Plague and ghostface are down in C because their power is unreliable, and ghostface needs addons to be even viable. He can still be looped like a normal m1 killer because he has absolutely no chase power. Plague's power is reliant on survivors cleansing, and her puke hitboxes are abysmal, so that makes her unreliable. Legion is down in D, because he can be looped infinitely even after the first hit. He has absolutely no chase power or fancy techs you can do in order to get the 2nd hit you need. Wraith might move up to low B tier with his new buff, but he still can be looped like an m1 killer, and has no chase power, so he is one of the best hit and run killers, but if people heal then you can't exactly snowball. Billy isn't what he use to be, but I would say that he is the best killer In the B tier. Twins is without a doubt on the high end scale for A tier, because the ability to snowball without much effort makes her extremely hard to play against if the twin player knows what they are doing.

Disturbed ward. On that map the totems have like two or three spawn points located in the center of the map, outside the building in plain sight. You can salute your totems as soon as you get in the trial if they spawn there.
Disturbed ward became even more disgusting after the rework. They didn't do anything to even help the totem spots.

Let me start this off by saying I play both sides but mostly solo survivor. I don't know what's going on lately but the gens are popping left right and center. On top of that Hexes are being found extremely quickly. With that being said killers are left with little to no gen defense and honestly I feel kind of sorry for them sometimes. This brings me to tunneling. As annoying as it is I get it I really do. I feel like a lot of the time even when a killer doesn't want to play like that they're getting forced into doing so more and more just to try and gain a little bit of momentum back.
This post is not intended to upset anyone or encourage or discourage any kind of play whatsoever. I simply would like to have a civil and constructive discussion over whether Ruin should be buffed into a regular perk rather than a Hex in an attempt to bring more balance to the game.
In my opinion I think it should be a regular perk. I don't think it's the almighty fix to the balancing issues but I think it could definitely be a big step in the right direction. So do you think Ruin should become a regular perk or not and why or why not?
I don't think it should become a regular perk, but I do think that totem spots need to be reworked, because it's honestly insane how most of the time totems spawn in literally the dumbest most obvious spots. At least even though I hate grim pantry and pale rose at least for outdoor map wise they have really good totem spots. Coldwind totem spots forget it, they are going to go in like 2 seconds.

I dunno if I can stop. I love the bp soo much and the grind never ends. Yet, I have this nagging need to use 4 perk builds, instead of my usual 3 perk builds with automatic BBQ included as 4th.
While becoming a skilled Killer, I used the 4 stack as the personal win and BP as my goal.
I’m starting to morph into a new stage of Killer...where I no longer view BP with as much importance, and I constantly hover over the idea of taking off BBQ.
Whenever I do though, I’m discouraged by the end screen. It’s like a man losing his wealth and trying to live the peasants life, I don’t like it. I also constantly hook and look for my next victim, out of habit, only to revert to hunting near hook, thinking they are nearby, since I couldn’t see anybody while using BBQ.
So, I pose these questions.
- Are you addicted to BBQ?
- If you are, what goal do you think you need to reach to give it up?
- To those that gave it up, do you have any tips or suggestions?
I’ve seriously been struggling these last 3 days, trying to shake off this addiction to BBQ, I feel like survivors are more annoying and frustrating when, in the back of my mind, I know I’m earning less BP for all this grief they give me.
Please Help >_<
I use bbq for bp mainly trying to get 500 RHPF on clown, but I don't need it or addicted to it. Although I am addicted to shadowborn, and I can't see anything without it on, because the base killer fov is actually horrible,

Killers get plenty of ######### perks too: NOED, BBQ, and Pop goes the weasel. Again I’m not saying survivors aren’t op because they are. I just want the devs to fix both sides and not just screw over one
NOED is rewarded for failure, and I think it's a perk that should be nerfed or reworked. How is BBQ and pop 2nd chance perks? They award you for doing your objective not for failure. Please make some sense. There is literally no survivor perk that awards you for doing your objective. Besides WGLF which rewards you for most of the time farming your team.

I get why killers do it but it pisses me off to see that killer mains want survivors to be nerfed even more while not even touching their toxic strategies. The devs need to balance both sides not just one or the other
Strange stuff how come some of the best killer players lose games, because gens and everything go to fast if they don't run a little bit of slowdown? Survivors are awarded a lot of 2nd chance perks for failure. Not because of good plays or anything. Until they address the 2nd chance perks I don't see why survivors should complain about face camping or tunneling. I'm one of the best clown players in the world, and I can't even stop all gens from being done even though my average chase is 20 seconds long explain that. Until you play killer on a high level where everyone is running every single 2nd chance perk. Tunneling is literally the most viable option to get someone out of the game if gens are going too fast, because at least it will be easier to snowball with only 3 people up. Face camping is a lot of the time a good strategy to get people off gens. I don't face camp, but still.

I wonder why killers tunnel it's because 2-3 gens pop first hook if you don't have corrupt on. I'm #7 global for clown, and I'm an extremely hardcore clown player. I end chases literally in 20 seconds. Nope sorry it doesn't matter, because gens pop, and I still have to sweat to make sure I can at least get 12 hooks in during that game before all gens pop. Then I proceed to get called names in the endgame chat even though I 2 hooked everyone before I killed anyone. Mean while holding w and pre dropping pallets to make distance, because there is so many pallets on every map will literally almost win every single game as survivor. So yes tunneling is going to happen. Most killers get tired of playing fair. Thankfully I'm on that floor where I can play fair, and still win just as fine, but it doesn't make it easy. Survivor is a joke compared to killer I have to say it.

Once I get enough full tryhards I throw on one of my 227 Redhead pinky finger's and 130 something black wards, and I just go to town on survivors for a bit. Current gen speed is insane. In most red rank matches, 3 gens are completed by the time the killer gets his first hook. Thats 60% of the survivors objective, while the killer has completed 8% of his objective. Current Pop is useless, because the killer spends more time walking to the gen and kicking it, than what it regresses.
Corrupt just changes which gens get repaired first. Killers stack gen slowdown perks in a desperate attempt to get more hooks. This needs to change.
I don't run slowdown besides corrupt anymore. I just run STBFL/Shadowborn/BBQ/Corrupt on clown, and play super aggressively. Usually 12 hook games aren't a problem for me, but that's because I pretty much have mastered him. On killers I haven't mastered it's very hard sometimes to even get 10 hooks. Pop in it's state is useless because you lose more time unless the gen is right next to you.
-
@Tsulan said:
A normal kick should regress a gen by 5%. Because gen tapping exists.
PoP should regress a gen by 100%. Because 25% regress is barely worth it, when 2 survivors repair that regression in 11 seconds.
Pop would be too overpowered then. Pop alone is useless in my opinion on most killers at least. Gen regression is not worth it these days in my opinion. That's why I just run corrupt for early game, and that's it.

Money, once this game is actually balanced, normal survivors would be completely destroyed, cause the average survivor on solo cant loop whitout dh, nor can survive without ds, i suppose due to the fact that this game`s concept is for now unique things like looping i mean, and the average killer who is forced to deal with amazing amounts of bs, would just dominate and all those mid level casual swfs and solos would fly away... thats my theory anyway
New meta these days is just to hold w could get rid of all the pallets and walls in the game, and even a decent team still most likely could win if the killer doesn't slug.
