To take the OP's post seriously instead of all these troll responses. Yes there used to be ways to edit and tweak your settings to the point where there was no darkness at all on screen, or to set anti aliasing and fog in a way that let you see survivors in grass, including pretty much removing corn blindness. You could see a survivor in the corn from 40 meters out clearly breaking depth of field view.
You can still sorta tweak things to make it impossible for survivors to hide anywhere within camera view like gamma that reverses the killers default darkness compared to survivor. (yes killers have darker vision compared to survivors on purpose.)
But as some mentioned you cant edit those files anymore....(even though you likely still can and just kinda slide into cheating with it)
Outside of that though yeah....thats about all. But no it rarely had anything to do with a trash PC because this game runs on 700 series ######### tier nvidia cards. Most of it was people cheating, the small few actually use filters from their cards. That being said certain cards can still adjust the sharpness on folio to eliminate corn blindness to a degree, but nowhere near as hacky as the old settings edits.
And yes...I'm a snitch.
Thanks! Didn't actually know about all that.

eh ive edited the config files just to make things look nicer. as in mix over ultra settings (i call it ultra+) with low settings and voila. the game looks absolutely gorgeous yet i can still play on the shadows of low and have aa turned off, and have a resolution of i think 197%. if being able to see things better because my res is higher is cheating then idk what to tell you- dbd's lacked a proper settings menu for literally years and it just helps my game look actually nice so my eyes dont die.
plus shirtless david in ultra+ in 197 res looks b e a u t i f u l lemme tell you.

I don't think half the people here read the post lol

I do it to avoid a hit for a few more moments. Only when injured tho, you don't want to waste the speed boost.
Even if it takes the killer just an extra second to down me, it's a better deal for my whole team. You ever just barely not get there in time to stop someone from finishing a gen? How about an exit gate? You never know if it'll really matter.

Deerstalker should be base on killers. It was on Freddy for a long time.
Nah b, sometimes making a fast break after being slugged can save the game, not to mention it'd be harder to pull off Unbreakable in some situations.

I know this has been asked for repeatedly but can you please pretty please just swap the numbers for tier 1 and Tier III.
Discordance is legitimately the only Perk in the entire game that gets worse the more you level it up it is so annoying to have this as a constant presence on the blood web because you don't want to level it up or something that you're forced to get if you're at lower levels of the blood web.
Ps: this only goes for Discordance surveillance is amazing the way it is. leave that alone
Only cause you said please

Yeah I just wanted to be sure first it wasn't me like thinking I'd unclicked and not, or accidentally double clicking, or my cat walking across my mouse/keyboard and readying me (don't laugh, it's happened).
Last night a cat walked across one of my friends keyboards and deleted a few hours a progress on a project I'm working on. If I don't get to laugh no one can.
lol

Well, I have my opinions about Monto, but I think they're both wrong. Last I checked neither one of them were near the increasingly tall skill ceiling that Billy had. It's too soon to tell, tbh.
The change was rather slight, and *most* players won't notice a huge difference (those being the ones who aren't the best). Oh, the ones who rev spammed on hooks might lol.
-
:o
Well this sounds like it sucks lol.
I think there's a bug reporting section somewhere on here, try making a post there. I'd hate for it to keep happening indefinitely.
-
Well, it's not slight, it's guaranteed 1+ sacrifice most games.

I'll have to see it, on Xbox, most skilled Billies were really a challenge to go against, if, after they release this, this doesn't change, I'll come here and apologize, but, if it does affect gameplay a lot for consoles, I'll be back to rant about it.
My body is ready if you return

Most past suggestions have been to seek back unwanted stuff at like a 50% BP return.
Yo how about *AURIC CELLS* instead?
HUH.
@Peanits make it happen for a kiss. 😘

Skill ceiling on Billy was high ASF, this nerf is mostly lowering that. *Most* players won't feel it that much

45k players should be enough to find 4 more peeps I think.
And yes I'm rank 17 currently thanks to the lovely rank reset that carried over months.
It won't be nearly as bad when your getting into ~10.
Feels bad that it's bad for white and grays tho

I don’t see them doing this in the future. The Devs don’t want to punish SWF by heightening their queue times. Also, not every SWF group treat the game like a bully simulator so not all of them should be punished just for being in a group with friends and enjoying the game.
Word
My friends suck hot ass at the game. It is less punishing to rando q

Though it would be cool, the idea of more Moris and Keys would haunt my sleep.

They gotta understand when to hide and when to not make a risky play while being chased, cause it can cost them a lot more for a lot less.

The other thing that costs the team time is when they get BT and literally wait for the killer to take a hit... again that’s wasting mendung time.
I get body block for someone if you have BT but I have literally held my SB, saves d someone with BT and sprinted to safely just to watch them eat a hit...

They did demo yes, but demo has no tail.
You dont want to know how badly the long tail of alien would bug out going through walls or objects.
Feel like alien would get more bugs then nurse.
So in shorter term: demo looks still kinda humanoid if you dont look at his face, alien is litterly demo but even less humanoid.
They'll probably just have the tail trail behind where the alien was/be a physics object tbh instead of a static animation. I'm sure they could make it work.

It *can* be hard to gauge what a killer is going to do, cause it *can* seem safe when it's not and the opposite.
I do get that it's annoying when people martyr themselves for no reason besides that the unhooked is safer.

At launch of big DLCs like silent hill, there is a huge influx of new players that are looking to get in games. It will happen less as time goes on (at least until the next big DLC).
New players want to get in matches like anyone else, and it so happens that long Q times aren't fun, so there ends up being quite a bit of 'rank leak'.
I'm willing to deal with newer players even if it means lower quality teams for a few weeks. Just me?

Their logic might be "If everyone can cleanse and corrupt all her pools, they all become clean and she only gets one activation of Corrupt Purge".
Before I get people jumping down my throat about how I'm killing everyone by cleansing, let me just say that this is only my guess at why other people do it. Let me say that again, other people do it and I'm trying to understand why they (people who are not me) do it.
Cue a reply from someone who ignores the second paragraph for the sake of comedy.
Ur dum haha bad opinion

I main killer. Never played enough to be red rank, was close a few times tho. Mb I meme too much?
Anyway I hit red rank survivor without noticing last month. Even playing with green to white rank swf friends that just got the game, they're bad teammates lol, and against not super bad killers usually. It's just super easy to rank up in comparison.
Edit: I usually solo btw. You can for early and still get a safety pip in a lot of games.
-
Unless his Evil Within 3 just ended, assume he's got it 99'd and avoid taking a hit early for distance. You might go dead.

I dont think it is though, dont get me wrong that is pretty scummy but i dont think it is bannable offense.
On the other hand some people derank for legitimate reasons. Once you get to high purples or red ranks matches start getting pretty sweaty and not everyone takes this game so seriously that they want to tryhard every match.
So i dont think every deranker should be punished because some do it for scummy reasons. Just wait for the new mmr system i guess.
I think OP was getting at doing it on purpose rather than putting in lower effort. Yeah tho deranking makes you a dickhead.

Alot of different things could be behind it. Honestly I want to hook suicide against PH. Not because I can't take a down. You get me down I got no problem with that. Most PH's I've faced are the proxy camping hard tunneling type. I don't see a need to give them more points.
The main reason I've hook suicided is my team. If you're crouch walking around for no reason. You let me get to second stage because you're too scared to make a save. I'm out.
There's been plenty of times recently where I'm trying to avoid getting spotted by the killer while I go for the save. I'll tell my buddy on comms he doesn't need to come. It can take a little longer if I don't suicide to the unhook.
Sometimes the killer is proxy or straight up face camping and the save can't be made. The new hook boxes make BT and such not work. Suiciding on hook makes that ######### strategy viable. Now there's a quick kill that should've taken another gen it two to get done.
I don't get the 'im not having fun so bye' stuff. Not even talking about you cause there's a difference in wanting to and doing it every game.

nope they dont. where i live untill 6/7 pm you have to wait more than 5 minutes to find lobby as killer. so this guy got like 10 minutes of lobby simulator and then find us LMAO
Not sure about that one. Universally q times are never that long on killer, I doubt your in Russia fool
lmao
-
I agree you shouldn't be punished in rank and such as your already being punished in gameplay and bps.
Side note:
Moris are only cool if you can slug all four players at once in the same spot and Mori one by one. If your not doing that you traesh
-
I don't think it'd be a terrible thing, just very unlikely.

The only things I don't like are 1) you need to do a full solo heal, so if someone else helps you get screwed out of SW, and 2) if you get downed while Broken you lose SW entirely. I think it should just reset, you keep the charge of SW it just won't trigger until the next time you are pulled from a hook. Just a bit dumb to require someone to get another heal if they go down while Broken. Like I understand making it not heal you anymore, that makes sense, but damn it sometimes it's hard to get that one full solo heal to get it charged.
Otherwise yes I agree, it's not actually that bad of a perk.
You don't need to solo heal, just start the healing first. Someone can assist you at any point in the healing. This is usually not an issue if you get to the hook first, which I usually do. We'll make it makes it speedy, too.

Don't you equip the Mori before it's obvious?

You crossed Dance With Me, but not Nemesis, even if both are useless on their own and need specific builds to make them work. Also, you didn't cross perks like Stridor, Iron Grasp, Surge, which I consider really bad for rank 1 killers, while also crossing perks like Deerstalker, which I would say is better than all these 3.
Sorry what

Yeah but you will hardly see difference in SH3 cutscenes and gameplay. I always believed that models were the same.
Here you can see drastic difference even if you compare just models. As other guy noticed, she does not even has freckles, that's how lazy dbd modeller were with source material.
Have you looked at how close the map is? A ton of effort went into Easter eggs that have surprisingly good similarities to the source material they are from. There's a reason for everything and assuming it's laziness is just silly.

The Demogorgon showed differing agility and speed in the show than in game. I doubt it's much of a limitation. Most killers only 'walk menacingly' anyway.

1. Going out of the way to make sure one person dies before all others. An example is the Killer hooking Survivor A, then leaving. Regardless of what is happening Killer comes back after the unhook and targets Survivor A. Survivor B tries to take the chase, but is ignored. Killer downs Survivor A and gets hit with Survivor A's DS. Killer loses track of Survivor A and spends much time looking for them. Several generators have been completed in this time, but Killer ignores pressuring the remaining ones to assure Survivor A is killed.
...there are less specific examples
2. As @DelsKibara said there aren't enough Killers so it takes time to find one. Also, a reason why ranks being jumbled and the possibility of situations like Yellow Rank Killer vs Red Rank survivors is to address these poor q times.
-
I'd personally always rather play against a Huntress, Nurse, or Spirit than Freddy. The boredom is more from the survivor side, it gets boring having to run because Freddy literally teleports on top of you. It gets boring being slowed down and having to drop a pallet early most of the time. There's some amount of monotony to it for some reason I rarely find in other killers. I don't think it's as fun or exiting to play against Freddy than a Trapper. This is from the survivor PoV only, as I don't own or play Freddy.
