  • Regarding new survivor, I don't think I've ever actually seen anybody complain about this is a serious manner. Why are there so many posts on social media defending the decision when there really isn't anyone attacking? Just asking I'm curious.

  • I often see posts from people stating they have hate for the game and the X recent changes. I'm not talking about people simply discussing things they don't like, either. From my POV: How on earth are you still playing DbD if the game is such a bad thing in your life? It's not healthy to constantly indulge in something you hate so dearly. There are other games, nobody is making you stay. Nobody

  • Check the PTB or other sources to check out the killers it's out there! Besides the fact I thought the trailer was a ######### post at first (can you blame me?), I'm down for Wendigo, or at least something similar. Wendigo is what most people are thinking, but I don't see why it isn't possibly The Rake or something else popular in that genre. Weirder things have happened (######### PH got in)

  • That's right. It's what you think. Wait no not that I'm talking about something else. The following image of huntress kissing ya boi is a great showcase of what I mean So, any questions? TLDR; Obviously what all this means is people who are banned for whatever reason, instead of having some boring 'ur banned lol' message appear, should have a killer sit in the menus with their head taking up t

  • I get it, people hear "We are adding MMR to help with matchmaking!" and they think it will be great out the get go and are unsatisfied. If you have played few games or are playing with very casual builds, you will see different results going forwards. The old ranks that were *mostly* based on playtime every month have little to absolutely nothing to do with the new MMR matchmaking. I've been see

  • You ever watch a live stream or YT video where the lighting, textures, and particle effects look weird? That's what I'm getting at, where people go into the game files and manually tweak every setting there is. It makes the game quite ugly and I cringe every time I see it. There are things you can do to mitigate disadvantages, then there's being cheap. This is clearly an unintended use of the gr

  • I have heard about an old issue where it doesn't work if you use a medkit, but I've never seen this issue. I went from grey ranks to red over this last month soloing and playing mostly casually (it's too easy to rank up as surv, but that isn't the point). Is it a great perk to run with every build? No. And that's how it should be. I run it with inner strength, borrowed time, and we'll make it.

  • IMG_20200507_153800.jpg IMG_20200507_153819.jpg Getting to final tier of the rift should be something rewarding, right? ######### is this lmao? The free track is a lot of poop compared to at least the first rift. Items few and far between aren't so good. Especially if they are of simple or lower quality. I know everything free isn't going to be beau

  • Title is a little cheesey, but you know... I've been playing DbD for a while now and I don't get the point with toxicity and us vs them point of view. I play both sides and try to be nice whenever I am. Happen to find someone that I just hooked? Slug them instead of tunneling(loose term). About to run out of the exit gate? Let the killer get a free hit. I've dominated this match and I'm about to

  • They aren't hiding that they have poor matchmaking or forcing the game more casual. They are addressing queue times and removing the aspect of perceptively 'unfair' games based on rank differentiation. This change will speed up matchmaking, especially at the start, once the MMR system has been put into effect. Also, there may be plans to have different MMR for different killers, so you can try o

  • I personally don't think that every killer needs to be on the same level of viable for everybody. I think the skill ceiling should be around the same place. Trapper's skill ceiling is in an OK place. Since old ruin got replaced, it is harder to reach that skill ceiling. People come into these forrums after a few easy games as survivor against trapper or not knowing much about how to play Trapper

  • I understand what it's meant to be. But it's just not that. Most of the time you end up slugged instead of being hooked if a killer is really that careful. Not sure if it really counts as not being tunneled if you are still out of the game and the killer plans on hooking you after a very set time. If the killer goes for you specifically and gives no chance of rescue, you are being tunneled. So

  • How else will noob survivors learn their lesson? I gotta wait more than a few minutes to get in a game? Not my fault so I'm gonna have fun however I want. Toxic people get what they deserve. It's my right to play as I want. I paid for this game, too. SWFs are toxic. I just want to play the game and they are tryharding bringing toolboxes and perks that speed up the game. Why even q if your gonna

  • I have not met someone in DbD I've asked that doesn't also play R6. I want the numbers. The correlation. THE CONSPIRACY IS REAL! To be clear, based on my findings, here are some important factors to remember: DbD = R6 R6 ≠ DbD C↓17 H↓25 N = PCP Thank you for your contributions.

  • In the last month or two there's been a lot of negative posts about people saying they are going to up and drop DbD! Many of these posts are just general complaints, but others do lay out good criticisms. I'm in a bit of a rut aswell and have been for the last few weeks. So here I am, asking the community reasons TO PLAY rather than TO LEAVE for once! Let's remember why we all got to love

  • Ruin isn't a great perk now. It'll get cleansed, maybe not quite as fast, but you'll have gotten less out of it before it's most useful, late-game. Killers that don't rely on Ruin as a crutch benefit from the Ruin-Gatekeeper changes. Killers that did, well, get rekt kids. Gatekeeper is easier to get a moderate rating with, but harder to get iridescent since when gens go down doesn't matter. It

  • So here we go again, huh. Bet you thought this post was about Ruin. Get rekt. No, this is about a prototype killer that was revealed during a Dev stream a bit back called THE SMASHER. The devs were insane to not include this killer. Power? Smash EVERYTHING Balance? PERFECT The smasher was able to remove any and all objects in the map by... smashing. Trees? GET SMASHED God loops? • The other day I had a game where I escaped and all my team died. It was against legion and it started with me wasting about a minute of the killer's time by getting seen then hiding. That ######### was hilarious btw Then I get a gen done and ruins gets cleansed...looks like everyone was looking for it. Awesome! Can't blame then tho, it was a swamp map. Anyway, later someone got basement hooked

  • Before I start, if you disagree with anything I say, tell me right away! I'd like to clear it up or make an edit if I'm wrong. The Trapper is DbD's poster child. He's the first killer that gets shoved in your face and the current tome revolves around him. For the first however many years, he was the killer in the startup screen (I'm sure they're going to showcase new killer/survivor from now

  • So, when I completed every single challenge in Tome I and was at tier 64 in the rift. I don't think people understand how ungodly the amount of time this is going to take me to complete. Let me tell you why this is YOUR FAULT. All you little crybabies out here wanted the rift challenges to be easier. Smh smh. What the FLIP guys. I'd rather have to grind back then. Now I've gotta grind NOW! At le

  • So, generally I like the challenges added to DbD which reward me with bloodpoints and cosmetics. So far there's only been two challenges I find issue with. That's EGC 2 Sacrifices w/ Agitation and Spine Chill Escape w/ no hooks. They both entice the player to be a jackass to get them done imvho :) I had to play very toxic to get the EGC one done. It was only a few tries, though. Now this FLIPPI

  • I like the challenge. He's very viable if you put some time in and learn spots. You need to think about what you do and we don't need another killer that's easy to play. Every trap you place will end a chase early or be a free injure if you really know what you're doing. I disagree that he's an easy killer, as the in-game describes him. Literally everything about his power is a big risk. While yo

  • With a new updated title so it's not threatening to the in game props! (I know you mods have a rulebook to follow it's just funny imo) You know those baby face creeps that seem to always be looking at you? Hey! They keep turning when I'm not looking! Stop that! How am I supposed to focus on beating survivors with a cleaver when I'm constantly getting jumpscared? I'm the victim here. New map is s

  • This is the only time I've had to be very toxic and play very silly to get a challenge done. The way I see it, this wasn't fun for anyone. It took only 3 tries, as most of these challenges do (Max, for me at least. I get a lot done in one game if it's possible). Here's how it went: I played against ranks 5-9 every game. I started some games with a realm offering for the new map because it's a gr

  • There are a few thing extremely wrong with this^^ DS is *meant* to counter tunneling. It is NOT a counter to not get countered by losing efficiency. That is redundant. Getting hit by DS is not a 1:1 of You Tunnel:You Get DS'd- It is very easy for a survivor to do something that seems stupid just for the reason of using DS. It is very easy to hook survivor 2 after survivor 1 gets unhooked and do

  • Tell if me you disagree or not, Guess what it is! Devour Hope. Here's why it's better: Devour Hope is a Hex perk that increases with power as survivors are unhooked when you are far away. Ruin is a Hex perk that slows generator progress by damaging the effects of skill checks. Here's some things to think about both perks: -Devour Hope can have up to 5 tokens. At 2, you are faster for a short t

  • Before you think about anything beyond the title, yes it's grindy. And Tome IV won't be much better. This said, people have still been over exaggerating already. I do want everyone to enjoy this game, I love it and would prefer if everyone else feels the same! Keep in mind: -You do not need to complete every challenge and especially difficult one to progress onto Tome IV -You have a month and

  • I get winning, but maining the strongest ________ in any game has always rubbed me the wrong way. I usually go for what's a bigger challenge. That's why I main Trapper. He's viable, but not overpowered by any means. Just about everything you do revolves around out thinking and pushing your target into a trap rather than teleporting to locations or being an audiophile for easy hits. I even feel t

  • Since the Tomes have had challenges to play Trapper, that's boosted the pick rates right? And if the pick rates are this boosted, then less experienced Trapper players would have lowered the mortality rate, right? Not sure if I'm dense and I'm sure there's more to it, am I right or wrong?

  • So recently I've decided to ditch Hex: Ruin and replace it for Pop Goes The Weasel. Then I equip Devour Hope. Survivors no longer are zurg rushing for a totem and generally feel safe. It should be noted I use this on Trapper, where it's most useful because I have a way of protecting my totem. If the game goes somewhat well, even if they get gens done quickly, it's an all stop once they see Devour

  • It really isn't all that challenging if your somewhat well versed in the game. Several are essentially 'just play the objective'. Getting a grab takes a few games if you are unlucky and the Dark Sense challenge where you must compete 3 generators over also over hyped. I completed it in my first attempt. If people are freaked out by this stuff, then they have no chance of getting Tome IV done. B

  • Well, at least as original as you can get with the limited abilities that killers can have. All killers use a melee to hit survivors (besides the huntress hatchets, of course). Similarities to Hillbilly, Myers, and Ghostface: Has a high-speed attack than can one-shot survivors. Now. That's the entirety of Billy's power, but calling Oni a Hillbilly 2: Electric Boogaloo isn't right at all. When T

  • By Non-Teachables I'm referring to perks that are available to all killers from the get go (Iron Grasp, Monstrous Shrine, Hope, We'll Make It, etc.). If @Peanits has any insight, that'd be cool too. Just wondering because (if the perks aren't low tier) it would give new players more diversity...and I like me some perks.

  • I do like how people are early to call perks nearly completely useless. Some things to keep in mind when talking about the new perk: 1. Most* killers don't break every pallet. 2. If pallets were coming back faster than 1 every two minutes (more if more are running it) then it would force the killer to be very inefficient. 3. On long loops it's going to be possible for the survivor to drop t

  • Look, balanced landing still is a great perk for extending chases and now has the added benefit of being a stealth perk. The game as a whole is being changed so low-mid tier killers are just a bit more viable (this isnt my main point, though. I don't and you don't have to agree that this is the direction the game should be trending in). This change isn't that huge, either. You still get a zooooom

  • I know like no one has ever been banned for this, but why is Body Blocking considered mechanic abuse? It's a key part of some strategies, examples: Wraith while uncloaking; hit is made easier Trapper while denying a pallet stun; trap is placed on one side and the other is body blocked. Any killer denying exit gate usage. cough Bubba chainsawing. Either they should remove body blocking f

I could actually see myself buying the paid pass in a few months if I am mostly through the rift. • When people say no one cares about pips I cringe. I think they get this idea from content creators that have been playing this game a ######### ton for months and it's easy to repeat. Why is the ranking system constantly complained about as supportative evidence in people's explanations of other topics if nobody cares? Ranks = Amount of pips, right? And...why are there so many try hards if nobody

  • Ranks and region too, please, cause those have a lot to do with it. What are your avg q times as killer or survivor? Currently as a Rank 5 killer in central US it's been averaging about 15 seconds. Not too shabby there. As Rank 8 survivor it's just over a minute for me (solo). I hope these times aren't insanely higher that most people's cause I've been hearing that low ranks are taking up to 10
