Gens definitley need to be slowed down somehow, but just raw increasing the time to repair is utterly boring and a bad idea.
-
Survivors should not have choice in maps, period.
The best system would be for Killer to just be given the choice between 3-4 random maps, and that's it.
That way the Killer doesnt get completley screwed by RNG, but they also just cant pick whatever they want and get a god-tier map for their build every single time.
-
Yes for Surge, no for Thrilling.
If Thrilling didnt have a cooldown it could be used for trolling very easily. Maybe reduce the cooldown, but not outright remove it.
There is zero reason for Surge to have a cooldown though.
-
Trapper is the first killer and the mascot of the game.
He's got no buisness being as bad as he is.
-
Forget old laptops, even on a high-power rig DBD gets frame drops.
DBD is just a very poorly-optimized game. Don't know what the devs are thinking making the graphics prettier when they should be focusing on making sure the game actually works properly consistently.
-
Yeaah, this needs to get fixed, FAST.
Straight up makes certain loops unmindgamable and allows seeing the killer from way further away.
-
WoO is fine, Zanshin is worthless and should do something else entirely.
-
Remove both.
Maybe make yellow mori base kit since its can only be used on the last survivor anyways, making it give basically no advantage whatsoever.
-
My dude is upset.
No, DC penalties should not be reduced.
If anything, DC penalties should be massively increased.
if you arent going to play the game, then dont queue up.
-
Yes, extremely so. He is positively archaic, even with his recent changes. He needs a lot of upgrades and quality of life improvements.
-
Please just get rid of the mashing. Just let the timer tick down without me needing do anything, just like the first hook phase.
Having a button input is just utterly unnecessary and annoying.
-
Legion is easily a bottom 3 killer, and its not only terrible to play, but also extremely unfun to play against.
Plus their whole ability is just poorly designed. Whats the point of having 4 different legion members if they arent part of the power.
Legion should get a full-Freddy style rework that somehow incorporates the 3 members of the Legion you arent playing as into the power.
-
Nothing
-
Trapper?
Anywhere above mid-low-tier, even with his best possible setups?
lmao.
-
Full Rework, Freddy style.
Awful to play as, awful to play against, complete waste of a concept.
The other 3 Legion members you arent playing as should be incorporated into the power somehow.
-
A lot of the content in the game is in such a desperate need of overhauling, it might as well be new content anyways.
-
Hell no.
-
I see no real reason Cypress Mori shouldnt be base kit. It does basically nothing but end the game with a bit of flair.
-
lmao what.
The basement is supposed to be dangerous.
-
Teams shouldnt exist in the first place.
-
None.
-
Its just an unnecessary annoyance.
Absurd how its still in the game nearly 4 years after release.
-
I wouldnt say hard, but its definitley too time-consuming.
There should not be challenges that are impossible to complete in a single match.
-
All the above, but the main issue is map size & "god" pallets/windows that cannot be mindgamed at all and can only be ended with brute force chasing.
-
Please dont just be a boring "throw chain and pull Survivor toward you" ability.
Literally anything but that.

You can't force people to play if they really don't want to. If they can't DC or suicide on hook, they'll just afk.
At least when people die on hook it gives the killer credit, they take more of the killer's time and they take a hook down with them as well as not opening the hatch instantly.
"You can't force people to play if they really don't want to"
If they didnt want to play they shouldnt have even queued up in the first place.
-
1) Because its boring
2) Because I'm not so trash at the game that I actually "need" to run broken meta perks
-
Because nobody wants to play Killer except masochists.
-
Fire Up's numbers are way too low to be worth anything.
-
Trapper really needs some changes he's archaic as hell. He takes too long to set up, for too little reward, too easy to negate his power, heavily luck based, a lot of his addons should be base kit, ect.
-
It depends on the map, but Legion, Clown, and Cannibal are all pretty dire.
I voted for Legion though, as they offend me on a conceptual level.
Why the hell did they make a Killer who's whole concept is "they are a gang of 4 killers", and then not have the other 3 members of the Legion you arent playing as as part of the power. Utterly idiotic.
-
As a Survivor, as long as I got a good amount of work done and didn't depip I feel like I have won. I think escaping should be considered a "perfect", equivalent to the Killer killing all 4 Survivors with all 5 gens remaining.
For Killer if the Survivors escape, the Killer has lost. A 4k is the -minimum- I would consider a win for Killers.
-
The game literally forces you to bully the killer at high ranks.
If you just play smoothly and efficiently you will get barely any emblem points. You have to go out of your way to antagonize the Killer if you want to double pip at high ranks.
-
Not even remotely.
He's mid-tier at absolute best, even with his best addon setups.
-
They way the grinding system is might have been acceptable when there were like 12 characters total (both sides combined).
Its not acceptable now when theres now almost 40 characters.
-
I would like to see actual player count numbers for the individual sides.
I am playing at high ranks as Survivor and queues are taking 10+ minutes for a single game.
-
Actual proper balance changes.
No point in adding fancy new toppings to the game when the core is rotten.
-
Kinda, but not really.
Obviously, you shouldnt just let other Survivors die if possible. But you also shouldnt prioritize going on a blatantly suicidal rescue attempt. You shouldnt just sandbag other Survivors for no reason, but screwing them over to save your own ass is A-OK.
Help other Survivors if you can, but in the end its every Survivor for themselves. This is what the original game concept designed and balanced around, and how it was marketed as was back in the beta/pre-release.
SWF kinda throws that whole thing out the window though, and utterly breaks the balance of the game.
-

So, I had a talk about this a little ago with @Waffleyumboy about this. I actually kinda like his suggestion.
Make SWF the base power of the game. Buff solo to the same level as swf, and buff killer the same amount.
It seems stupid, I understand. But if you think about it, it kinda is genius. If every survivor is great, whether on swf or solo, then the game can be balanced around everyone, and not people wanting balance around the top tier of play.
The amount of changes needed to do that would be absurd.
It would essentially require redesigning the whole game from the ground up.
Basically making an entirely new game.
Completley, 100% unfeasible.
-
There really is no way to balance SWF. Doing so would essentialy require redesigning the entire game from the ground up to be balanced around voice comms.
That means no "anti-info" perks for Killers (Eg Knockout/Third Seal), no info perks for Survivors (bond, empathy, Kindred ect.), no Totems, and no stealth Killers.
Completely unfeasible.
The only real option to "fix" SWF is to make it optional for Killers, and give them some kind of BP+EXP bonus to incentivize them to play against SWF.
-
Just be in 4 different places at once bro.
Imagine not being able to split yourself into multiple beings, git gud.

I mean, we have stats indicating that all killers have (or had) a kill rate above 50%, yeah, I know the devs told us to take it with a grain of salt, but thats still a considerable amount even taking DCs into play.
Completely irrelevant considering how many bad Survivor players there are. Of course if players play stupidly they are gonna get killed.
That doesnt change the fact that Killers have little to no chance against Survivors that actually know how to play well.

They didnt start balanced, thats for sure, but over the years the game has become a lot easier for killer and more skillful for survivor, the game is currently the most balanced it has been in years.
Just because it was worse before doesn't mean it still isn't bad now.
-
hah.
-
Face camping will stop when Survivors stop falling for it.
Do the objective and escape, Killer depips and gets jack for points.
-
I did it a couple times while I was messing around with Breakout. Nasty combo.

The only problem with making skill checks harder is that it hurts new players.
1)
Should we also remove Nurse's fatigue time and cooldown because new players might not be able to hit blink attacks?
Should we make Spirit able to see Survivors when phasing because new players might not be able to track invisible Survivors properly?
Probably not, eh? Likewise, the same should be applied to Survivors.
New players should not come into factor when balancing.
2) As I said, toolboxes should be reworked to make skillchecks easier, rather than making repairs faster, so newbies can just run toolboxes.
-
I played as Killer instead of playing as Survivor.
-
No. DBD need major base game changes to slow down generators, not perk band-aids.
