11) Thou shalt DO FREAKING GENS!!
-
Sure you can. You just can't expect to win every time, which too many people seem to do.

Flat disagree, Show us a loop or a part of a map and then give us your arguments for why its poorly designed?
At least then BHVR has a chance of picking your brain on this and solving the issue if they agreed.
-The god window on Father Campbell's Chapel comes to mind.
-That new Autohaven loop that has an unsafe pallet with a z-wall. Guaranteed hit at those.
-Shelter Woods as a whole, being half dead-zone.
-The Game has an obscene amount of god pallets, often back-to-back.
-Eyrie of Crows as a whole. The map is just massive, and the main building is extremely abusable with Boons.
-Suffocation Pit and Azarov's being "3-gen or lose" maps.
That's just off the top of my head.
-
I love it! The only issue I have right now is that Eruption + Call of Brine is meta, so often times they just kick the gen immediately. Still, it's very fun to use.
-
Burnout has a lot to do with it imo. So many people continue to play this game despite it only frustrating them. The result is DCs.
Memes aside, Mathieu Cote was onto something when he said to take a break and play Civ for awhile. This whole community needs a reset. Egos are bigger than ever, and toxicity is off the charts.
-
Why is Nurse even a thing? She breaks the basic gameplay loop. Why BHVR don't scrap her, I don't get it.
-
He can seem OP because he's a solo queue stomper. Silent bell + 4 slowdowns will win you most games. On the flip side, a good SWF love facing Wraith.
-
It's the equivalent of tbagging in the exit gate. Gotta rub that last bit of salt in the wound. It's a big reason why I'm currently on a break - lack of sportsmanship.

It's 5 minutes from when you DC'd. If it took you 4 minutes to get back to the killer/survivor screen you would see 1 minute remaining. For example, if the game crashed and it took 4 minutes to load back up, or if you left the match and you stayed on the scoreboard for 4 minutes.
Nope, the new system made the 1st DC 1 minute. Changed a few weeks back.
-
Still can't believe they did a 100% nerf lmao. Might as well have deleted it because no uses it anymore.
-
A forfeit option would backfire. Killer I don’t like? Forfeit. Map I don’t like? Forfeit. Etc.
-
Been having this issue myself, as have streamers I watch. Whatever happened to Dead Hard validation? Ever since they nerfed Dead Hard's duration from 1 second to .5 seconds it's been unreliable at best.
-
Good ol' Corrupt + Deadlock. Pain Res sometimes, but feels bad if a scourge hook is not nearby.
-
The real question is why do you keep playing if you keep getting the same result.
-
I get the sense most people want DBD to be more casual, so you’re not alone. But then again, most people (on these forums anyway) favored MMR before it was implemented.
-
Or Scooby Doo lol. The Black Knight is one of the original monsters. Oh well, at least I don’t have to pay for it!
-
Take a break. Solo is unplayable atm. Maybe it will be better after the event is over.
-
It’s so bad right now lol. I had a series of matches ruined by quitters a few days ago and haven’t played since. You just can’t trust people not to ruin the match in solo queue.
-
Insecurity.
-
SWF-sided. If no SWF, Killer is highly favored imo.

I've been paired with potatoes half of the matches yesterday and today.
Most make me look good in comparison. At some point during the night, I just can't play solo anymore.
I gave up on solo queue yesterday. The Bloodhunt has brought out the trolls. Best to stick to Killer for the next few days.
-
Agreed, the Daily system is boring and needs work. I legit just ignore my Dailies most of the time, aside from re-rolling them.
-
Let's hope. Inb4 Survivor bots get stuck on terrain like zombies.
-
Ah, so turns out there's a challenge to do this so.. in this case pointing was not true BM, but rather encouraged by the devs. But yeah DBD players get upset about anything. Endgame chat is just toxic 90% of the time.
-
Finally. This was the major issue with MMR because everyone knows purely escaping doesn't mean jack in terms of skill.
-
Flashlights are the weakest item in the game unless in 4-man SWF. Frankly, they needed a buff for a long time now. Look at it this way: if more people run flashlights, less people run toolboxes and med-kits so... Yeah.
-
I have thousands of hours played and this scenario has happened to me maybe once. Once, in years of playing. I don't get the big deal. Seems like it was a dumb exploit so ggs devs for removing it.
-
Call me weird, but I actually enjoy playing vs AI in many games, so to have that feature in DBD is actually amazing. And now there's no need to practice a new Killer in a public match, or require other people for a custom game! That's huge. Thanks BHVR.
-
I've been thinking the same. The grind reduction gave us wayyy more BP which is great. BUT the issue remains that I have to take the time to spend it to be efficient (2 mil BP cap), AND I have to buy a slew of nodes that I don't want to get to what I actually want. The Bloodweb system is incredibly bloated with garbage.
-
Ignore this comment lol
-
Gigachad Survivors. It's pretty rare you see a No Mither squad anymore.
-
I got ZubatLEL on my team once. He ran self care + no mither and we got 4k'd.
Played against OhTofu and he mori'd me off 1st hook (before mori nerf).

Fair enough. But why do I not get to play against the riff raff as Killer?
Lol great question. All I know is it's one of the more popular DBD memes.
-
Also how about we clean up the Bloodweb a bit. Get rid of a bunch of stuff like useless brown BP offerings. I'm so over buying all this crap I don't want and will never use.
-
I assume the best players will be playing 4-man SWF. So you can never be on their team. So you get stuck with the riff raff haha.

Anti-tunnel isn't necessary if you're playing to survive to the end game anyway. That is, you're playing cautiously and not putting yourself into danger unnecessarily.
I routinely opt out of running an Exhaustion perk, especially in solo queue, because the way you have to play as a solo survivor means you shouldn't be getting into unnecessary chases.
And over all, survivor is perfectly playable with no perks whatsoever. Hell I did exactly that completely by accident yesterday, when I jumped on Rebecca for the first time. No perks, or item, and still escaped. Did I get lucky? Sure, but that's what this game is about.
You don't need +5% healing to be able to heal, or +5% repairs to be able to repair, when the way you play in the game itself, and the way the killer plays specifically, can have a relative effect of +/-50% to the success of either of those things. They just give you a slight edge, and maybe you'll end up needing that edge maybe you won't.
Maybe. I still think running perks that depend on your team being dead is a bit selfish and hurts the team's chances overall. But hey, play how you want.
-
It's unfortunate that this build probably reduces your team's chance of escaping overall. No exhaustion (not counting Adren), no anti-tunnel, no healing, no gen speed.
It's a great build if your team throws the match early, though.
-
I'm not saying people who quit on hook don't deserve to be punished, but I kinda wish people weren't so vindictive in this game. I would rather go next than play a 3v1.
-
Yikes.
-
Anecdotal, but I escape in maybe 25% of my solo games, mostly because of DCs and quitters. Would not be surprised if the solo queue kill rate is 70%+
-
No, I don't think that's supposed to happen. But it did happen to me recently, so. Might be a bug.

@Krazzik said:
He can feel clunky to use at first but if you get used to his power he's really strong. Can't reallyl oop effectively against him.
Plus he's the best tunneler in the game.
Was the best tunneler. I think Wesker takes the cake currently. PH has to get you Tormented before he can tunnel effectively, and a good player will make that difficult. Meanwhile, Wesker can just bring an add-on to infect everyone and can apply infection with his power more easily. Plus, if you tunnel immediately off hook, eventually that Survivor gets an 8% slowdown, so you will catch them no matter what.

@Crowman said:
Idk if I would call it the best addon, especially after it's been indirectly nerfed with conspicuous actions so it can no longer act as a free hit against camping killers.
BNPs and Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe are still very good contenders for the best addon slot.
Although to answer the question, not really. I didn't really use it much before and the few times I did were mostly for MoM builds.
I feel like BNP is overrated. Sure, if you have a 4-man SWF and you all run it, it’s great. But as a solo, it doesn’t do much. Wire Spool + Socket Swivels is better imo.
-
That's just solo queue, baby. Long have solos not crouched to the unhook. Barely anyone plays Hag, so Survivors turn their brains off against her. I'd argue she's the best pub-stomper in the game because 90% of players don't bother to play around the traps.
As for Trapper, imagine you play on your PS4 with no graphics options, and the Trapper brings Tar Bottle for darker traps. I probably wouldn't see them either.
-
Depends on your ability as Survivor. You can easily make a Killer whiff with mindgames. Faking a vault for example is a great way to bait swings. Of course, the more experienced the Killer, the less they will fall for it (in theory).
-
Love Kindred, but technically it does lose value the more Survivors run it. All 4 having it is redundant and a waste, like Prove Thyself or Circle of Healing. Also if you're an experienced player, you can often deduce the info Kindred would give you just by intuition.
As @EntitySpawn said, it's more-so a perk to encourage bad players to be more efficient. Which is why I think it should become base-kit.
-
Lol if this game wasn't called DBD, it would be named Griefing: The Game. BM is baked into DBD at the core.
Anyway, the reason the base-kit Unbreakable change and the Mori change were proposed was to address unnecessary slugging like in your post. They are aware it's a problem at least.
-
The map choice should be pure RNG imo. No map offerings, no voting, just luck of the draw.
