Solo queue will be dumpstered if the healing changes go through. EZ mode will be playing Nurse or Blight.

It really does feel like it. What I didn't mention in my original post was that I frequently play in a 4 man SWF too. We have a combined ~20k hrs and track our results. Over the last two weeks, killers managed a grand total of zero hooks in 7 of our games, just north of 10% of our total matches. So we are all either individually awful players who combine to form the MegaZord when we're in SWF and return to our normal selves in solo queue, or matchmaking in this game is awful.
MegaZord 😂 Go go Power Survivors!
-
Sprint Burst + Prove Thyself + Resilience + Adrenaline. Reject healing, return to gen-rush.
-
Patches need to be reviewed and approved by each individual platform iirc. They can't just make changes at anytime. There's a process they have to follow.

The new aura change literally helps solo survivors more than anyone, you simply cant heal yourself with it.
If you want infinite heals, theres Self Care waiting for you.
A single Self Care will take 68 seconds. Add in Sloppy Butcher and it takes 85 seconds - an entire gen worth of time. Anyone running Self Care after this patch is literally sandbagging their team. In fact, healing in general will be pointless. Might as well stay injured and gen-rush instead.

Just wanna say nice work on the tables. Now I don't have to do the math myself :)
-
Looks like it's out of their hands.

haha I hope you don't mean me :)) if so, then I have to disappoint you little one, I have more friends than you have met people, but I'm talking about certain problems in general and what's to come on bhvr (with a high probability crying about solo q and swf), btw just because i loved solo q doesn't mean i "don't have friends" xD i love to play alone but at the same time i also love the company of others around me but i do it's not like you, my fun depends on whether my friends are online right now :DD let's shorten it, i'm the opposite of a nerd, i have a decent physique (you can see) i've been training for years, i'm popular among women, a lot of people around me also like me very much, online I'm also very liked and people are happy to see me, I'm definitely not blustering, I want to show you that you don't think so much about others should judge and speak, if a person has really difficulties to find connection and to find friends, that you try to reduce the person to that, that's why I write you even in detail
Not talking to you dude. Cringe post.
-
Welp I don't have friends to SWF with, so I guess I'll just stop playing entirely.
-
Meanwhile, Blight goes untouched. Let's nerf a C-tier Killer and leave the S-tier Killer as is. I've lost all faith in the balance team.
-
Copium
-
Burnout is definitely part of it. There's only so much to do in the game, so once you hit a few thousand hours, the gameplay loop feels stale. At least that's how it is for me. Changes take awhile to be implemented, and when they are, they're not necessarily for the better, like the recent scream change.
-
On the other hand, certain Killers excel on indoor maps, particularly stealth Killers. When I get RPD as Wraith, it feels like a free win. The RNG gods giveth and taketh away.
-
This right here is why I've stopped playing DBD recently. Sportsmanship is dead.
-
Had this happen to me recently. Dude stood there for 30 minutes. Maybe it isn't technically against the rules, but it is hella lame to just stand on hatch. Killers really be desperate for the 4k.
-
So you expect me to dodge every time the Killer dodges? Ain't nobody got time for that. Play the lobby you're given ffs.

People downplay exponential so much, it's A tier at worst.
At worst, you never get slugged during a match and Exponential does literally nothing. So, F-tier at worst.
-
Imagine how much time would be saved if people would just suck it up and play the lobby they are given. DBD players are so soft lmao. Oh no they have high prestige, better dodge 🙄
-
Before this patch, Killer was at its strongest ever. But go off I guess.
-
I use it for the memes. It’s funny to spam it as I run across the map.
-
At least there isn’t a giant dead zone in the center of the map anymore.
-
I’m surprised Moris and emotes aren’t in the store already tbh. Then again, I sure wouldn’t spend $5+ on a simple animation. But that’s just me.
-
Some people just like hoarding all their stuff. Personally I tend to use only brown/yellow items because they help a bit but aren’t OP.
-
3-genning is so boring man. There's little skill involved and it extends matches for far too long. A DBD match should never take more than like 20ish mins. Idk how Killers find it fun. Like yeah you got a 4k but at what cost?
And the gen spawns are just getting worse. You might as well DC on RCPD vs. a 3-gen. Even a coordinated team can't break that BS. And now we get another 3-gen Killer? I'm so fed up with DBD rn. This game is just monotonous to play lately.
-
3-gen strat. Win by boring the Survivors to death like The Knight. The next 3 months are gonna be miserable.
-
I guess if you like to turn your brain off and play on auto-pilot, Knight is great. The lack of skill expression is a completely valid complaint though.
-
You're seriously overrating the new Survivor perks. And let's not act like Eruption didn't deserve a nerf.
-
Without Distortion, what counterplay does aura reading have? Hiding in a locker I guess? The fact is aura reading perks are everywhere nowadays, so there should be a counter. Distortion is fine.
-
I just voted and these were the top 3:
Vote 1: Coal Tower - 13%
Vote 2: Dead Dawg - 28%
Vote 3: Ormond - 27%
Arguably the best Killer map in the game is #1. So ya'll Killer mains need to relax lol

Games are rougher now as killer I can confirm. SoloQ survivors who were effient on gens are even more effient after the update. There are still some who just boon every match though and sometimes you can stomp survivors. But you have to play sweaty if you want to win. Casual killer will get stomped by decent solos.
And casual solos will get stomped by a decent Killer. Perfectly balanced.
-
Git gud.
-
Solo is not on the same level as SWF on Discord. You must be joking.
-
Devs want to keep the TR uniform, so it's either 24 or 32 or 40. I would be cool with 24m TR for Trapper.
-
I rate him highly for his 3-gen ability. He's great at extending the match, and the current Eruption build is perfect for him.
-
His add-ons were not perfect. Double recharge add-ons or Carb Tuning Guide + Engravings made him arguably tied with old Spirit for 2nd best Killer. The overheat nerf was a bit much though. And I hate the stupid roar they gave him :(
-
Patch 6.1 was the general Killer buff. This is to compensate.
-
Icons won't make my teammates do gens or keep them from giving up on 1st hook, but it's a start. Killers have been stomping solos after patch 6.1. It's about time BHVR threw us a bone.
-
Distortion has joined Kindred as a quintessential solo perk for me. There's so much value in knowing what perks the Killer has - or more importantly what they don't have. So even if the Killer has no aura reading, you still gain value. Love this perk.
Side note: it should be mentioned that running Distortion puts more pressure on your team, since the Killer will find and chase them more. If you're a strong runner, it might be smart to avoid Distortion and take aggro instead.
-
I mean, have you played DBD mobile? It's awful compared to PC. So there has to be some incentive to bother playing that version.
-
Small indie company. Jokes aside, it seems they dedicate most of their resources to cosmetics. I remember a couple years ago we learned that the balance team only had like 2 people on it lol. Optimization is nice but it doesn't make cash like another Feng skin.
-
Is DBD new player friendly? No. Is DBD relatively easy to play compared to other PvP games? I would say yes. I think people overestimate the skill necessary to win in this game. Compared to games like League of Legends or Rainbow Six Siege, DBD is a cake walk after you put in even a moderate amount of time.
-
This is the majority of my games. I'm talking 75%+. Killer didn't even have perks or add-ons. Doesn't matter.
BHVR, ya'll need to address the quitters. HUD icons ain't gonna change anything.
How about we stop pumping out DLC and actually address the core issues? I'm not spending another dime 'til something is done.
-
Perk changes will only do so much. The game is just stale in general. We're coming up on Year 7 and the basic gameplay loop is still the same for the most part.
-
YouTube and Twitch have kinda ruined multiplayer games in general. But that's just my opinion.
-
Part of being a good Survivor is knowing when to loop. With a lot of the recent Killers, it's often the smart play to just leave the loop.
@Veinslay said:
They're crutching hard on Windows of Opportunity. It's playing the game for them. Perk badly needs to be nerfed
lol
-
No way they'd do this. Imagine how many people have stockpiles like you. We joke about the "BP economy," but this would legit ruin it. If you could just trade in for the good stuff, everyone would use the good stuff every game and it would be miserable lol.
-
People were saying this before the change happened. BBQ stacks gave a reason not to tunnel. It was arguably one of the most healthy perks but they just had to change it. The least they could do is add the stack mechanic as base-kit.
-
The double nerf was disgraceful. They did the same to Ruin. Oh, people are using these perks too much, let's nuke them from orbit so no one touches them with a ten-foot pole. Incredible.
-
Well according to Peanits' post, it would seem the "3-gen til the server shuts down" strat would be bannable. But tbf he said that back in 2019 and things might have changed. The server shutting down after an hour is a recent change if I'm not mistaken.
Also I just wanna say I find DBD incredibly unfun when a match lasts 30+ minutes, and I know I'm not the only one. This strategy definitely needs to be addressed.
-
Well there are only so many actions a Survivor can take. I think all the bases are covered atm. I would like to see a slight buff to Head On though :D
