Sure, why not. Let's also give a bonus for going against Nurse and Blight. 👍️
-
The outcry over the nerf was definitely overblown. I think the devs did a good job reducing its power, but still keeping it relevant in the meta. Plus now it discourages tunneling. Overall good change.
-
Even at 3k+ hours, I can't hit those fast skill checks consistently enough to justify using it.
-
Because Demo is a good boi. How dare you speak bad about the doggo.
-
I agree. It should only apply to 24m around the kicked gen. But as someone who runs Distortion every game, it really doesn't bother me.
-
Here are your options:
1) Hit & Run Killer
2) Tunneling Killer
3) 3-gen Killer
4) Slugging Killer
Idk about you, but I much prefer option 1 over all the others.

So rolling handicaps is something I made a thread on a while ago. Basically the idea is game balance shifts as thevgame progresses. Tracking hook stages, gen progress and survivors alive as the metrics. If game is in surv's favour then gen repair speeds slow down and killer gain movement speed and maybe action speed buff, if game is in killer's favour then gen repair speeds increase and killer's move speed is nerfed a little. Properly balanced it could make the game a lot more enjoyable since most games are absolute landslides and it'd help mitigate that.
Universal vc would be better imo, it's not so much an opt in as a you need to log into discord and make a channel. Basekit vc would be utilised by a lot of players and be very useful for lower mmr teams to have some degree of coordination.
Voice chat is not a good idea. Most people would just use it to flame their teammates. Plus, I don't wanna deal with people blasting music or sandbagging me because I chose to opt-out of voice chat. It would also invalidate a slew of perks like Kindred, Bond, etc. and they'd all need to be reworked. We're too far into the game's life cycle to add a major feature like this.
I kinda like the rolling handicap idea though.

If you do the math, Sloppy only adds 4 seconds to altruistic healing and 6 seconds for self healing. You can either bring perks to speed healing up, or you can learn to play injured. It's not necessary to heal after every hit.
Btw Idk why you're complaining about Thana. Unless all 4 Survivors are injured, it's one of the worst slowdown perks in the game.
-
I feel like this is true for most PvP games tbh, especially if the game has been out for awhile. Like if you try to jump into Call of Duty or something, you're gonna get absolutely steamrolled as a new player.
a way to train against killer bots so survs can see how dlc killer powers work without buying them
The devs said they are working on Killer bots, just so you know.
-
Actually, healing with a medkit is holding M2 ;)

Because it’s cute! UwU

He's decent now. Before the changes, flashlights and Dead Hard made Wraith unplayable.
Omg I am so happy Lightburn is gone. Mad props to the devs for deleting it.

Moles lmao. I’m stealing that term, thanks.

Skull Merchant really seems like the worst killer in the game because she is best at defending a 3 gen and making games long an boring, also it seems the forum is not as active as it used to be. Maybe this has something to do with the forum rework as well, I much preffered the older version.
Dude, same. Not a fan of the forum redesign. I wish they’d revert it.
-
What if I told you there are several Killer-sided maps? 🤯
-
It’s great. Dead Hard and Circle of Healing were extremely strong against Wraith. He’s become my favorite Killer to play after this patch.
-
You can have 1000+ hours and still not be good.
-
5 second DS stun. It's pointless to run in it's current state, and tunneling has gotten out of control as a result.
-
Lol as expected after the Dead Hard nerf, we've now moved on to complaining about exhaustion in general.
-
I've been running Corrupt + Deadlock + Pop and win most matches. Or you could just play Blight lol.
-
If the player plays well enough, then they deserve it.
Do they though? I guarantee the best Trapper/Myers/Clown player ain't hitting 1000 winstreak. A large part of this guy's success is due to his Killer of choice.
-
@Nazzzak said:
Every Myers brought this map offering. That's all I remember from that time. Myers or GF.
Or Wraith. If I ever wanted an easy win, I'd pick Wraith with a Hawkins offering, and I'd never get less than a 3k. Good riddance.
-
To be fair, both perks have counters. Lethal is countered by Distortion (seriously underrated). Fogwise is countered by Fearmonger, or by playing a stealth Killer, or by using Blindness add-ons.
-
This is their last official response on the matter. If Microsoft/Sony/Etc. aren't cooperative, there's nothing BHVR can do.
About xDefiant - that game was designed with cross-progression in mind from the start. DBD was not. It's not so simple to add it when the game has been out for 7 years.

I wonder if it would work if Bubba goes in tantrum when he hits endurance.
Still would be strong at camping and forcing hook trades but it wouldn't be the 2 for 1 special that makes going for unhooks against bubba so pointless.
With dead hard this wasen't really a option before but now that it's nerfed it's a idea. Food for thought
I like it. Good idea.
-
Well they certainly seem to be heading in that direction. If you look at the meta from several years ago, most of those perks have been toned down in one way or another. Plus, most newer perks they release are the definition of low impact. The Skull Merchant DLC didn't have a single strong perk across 3 characters.

A swyf team of clearly 4 experienced played in comms doing fl saves and hook sabo so you get nothing the whole match, how is it possible that MMR matches a new killer vs a team like that?
Simple - they prioritize queue times over balanced matches.
Side note: I lowkey miss the old rank system. Like yeah it could be cheesed, but if you were Rank 20 you had much better odds of facing other new players.
-
Corrupt is for setup Killers. Lethal is for Killers that want to chase ASAP. They're not really comparable other than they activate at the start. Just depends what Killer you're playing. But yeah, Lethal has to be one of the best perks in the game right now.
-
I don't expect to see Billy get more love. I mean they just tried to nerf his best add-ons for no reason.
As for Leatherface, if he were to receive any buffs, they'd need to nerf his camping ability. Not sure how they'd go about that.
-
I'll pick Plague. She has reasonable upsides/downsides, a variety of add-on options to choose, and synergizes with a respectable range of perks.
-
I don't, but I can't exactly blame anyone that does. It's simple math: taking 1 person out ASAP is conducive to winning. But as you climb in MMR, this strategy becomes less effective. I think most veterans would say that learning to spread pressure is how you improve as a player.
-
It's true, 1 weak link can lose you the game, even if you're a seasoned player. That's just the nature of asymmetrical games, unfortunately.
-

This is a glass half full, half empty moment.
You compare legendary skins to survivors and say they are overpriced. I look at survivors and see how cheap they actually are.
A company needs to make money, and i much more prefer it that their most expensive things are optional skins you can buy if you want to support bhvr rather then the actual gameplay elements
Facts. Most skins are overpriced, but people that buy them effectively subsidize DLCs for the rest of us.
-
Nah bro, deactivating in endgame is 100% healthy. The only issue with DS is that a 3 second stun is basically worthless.
-
Tough to choose one tbh. So many Killers are terrible without add-ons. I guess I'd pick Sadako or maybe Trapper.
@HugTechLover said:
Probably Blight. He is very addon / slowdown dependent.
Huh? Blight has one of the best base-kits in the game. His add-ons just push him from A-tier to S-tier.
-
I'll say no. I really don't care about rank in this game and neither should you. I don't want DBD to become more "competitive" than it is. But hey, if the majority of players want it, then go ahead.
-
Remember that DCs aren't counted as kills currently. If they were, I'd bet the kill rate is already around 70% right now.

It seems to be mainly removed due to the change from Peer2Peer to dedicated server matchmaking. Considering you're supposed to be connected to servers closest to your area the ping less of an indication of your connection to specific players and more to the servers. So it wouldn't be as helpful as it used to be.
I still think it would be helpful though. Dedicated servers or not, a Killer with bad ping is problematic.
-
Blight with Alc Ring. Imagine if every Killer with a cooldown had an add-on to instantly refresh their power on hit. It removes any semblance of balance. Cooldowns exist for a reason.
Lot of people saying Skull Merchant, and I get why. But I think once Overcharge/CoB is nerfed, she'll be much less annoying.
-
@Nirgendwohin said:
how about showing the killer ping in the lobby? survivor ping as number would be great too
The weird thing is we used to see Killer ping in lobby. I don't get why it was removed. I understand that lobby dodging is a problem, but bad ping is absolutely a legitimate reason to leave.
-
Sounds like you're just rusty. With anything in life, when you stop practicing for awhile, you will lose some of your ability. That's just human nature. But don't worry, just practice more and you can gain it back :)
-
Matchbox is great, but I feel Spasmodic Breath is a huge hinderance. Losing your power for a full minute is absolutely not worth moving at 4.6. Might as well play a different Killer at that point.
-
@Viktor1853 said:
Camping is fine just you can beat it by just doing gens
True, but then 1 person doesn't get to play, and the other 3 get to hold M1 and escape with maybe 10-15k BP. No one has fun in a camping match. Not even the Killer has fun because standing in front of a hook is boring as heck. They just want to farm salt.
-
@FridayNightPizza said:
I mean she is pretty good but without add ons I don't think she's top 3, personally I think Artist is better but that's just me.
Sure but like 95% of people play with add-ons. I'll agree that Artist has a higher skill ceiling, but Spirit has a higher skill floor. Also, Spirit isn't map dependent, whereas Artist can struggle on maps with elevation.
-
Good but not top-tier. Although with the Dead Hard nerf, we may see Vigil become more popular, since most people will switch to Sprint Burst.
Side note: Fearmonger may become more popular as well (no exhaustion recovery while on a gen), which devalues Vigil a bit. Personally, I don't think Vigil is worth a perk slot, but that's just my opinion. There are far worse perks you could choose.
-
@Krazzik said:
Yeah even after her big nerf she's still easily the third strongest killer in the game. The only reason so many people dropped her was because the nerfs meant you actually had to be good with her to do well, she wasn't giving away easy wins anymore.
Facts. People complain they "overnerfed" Spirit. Meanwhile she's still a top 3 Killer lol.
-
Sheer playtime. The more you play, the less anxious you'll be. That goes for any game. And remember that winning/losing doesn't really matter. There's no ranked mode or anything, so just play for fun.
-
I will never understand the hate that Head On gets. If anything, the Killer should be grateful that they chose it over better exhaustion perks.
-
Yeah, crossplay-off is dead. I would much prefer to play with it off (so I can talk with everyone in post-game chat), but queue incentives have effectively killed it.
-
In my opinion, keyboard & mouse is a far superior input. It is WAY easier to manipulate the camera with a mouse (when looking behind you in chase for example).
