There's quite a few challenges I dislike, especially ones that force you to use one perk. In fairness to the devs, there's only so many challenges you could come up with because of limited mechanics. Luckily, it's not necessary to do every challenge to complete The Rift in a reasonable amount of time.
(Whoops, just realized you were talking about Daily Rituals. Yeah, a lot of those need work too.)
-
Imo the whole pre-game lobby phase could be skipped. Imagine how much time would be saved. No more dodging, no more waiting to ready up. I wish.
-
They need to remove unhook grabs. Too many times have I seen the Killer just sit at the hook and wait for another Survivor to come save. They're not really even playing the game at that point - just abusing the system. It needs to change.
-
Holding W and breaking LoS only works so long. Idk why you act like it's some perfect counter. Nurse stans are weird.
-
Freddy's teleport is kinda underrated. The ability to cross the map and the ability to fake tp is amazing. Gives great synergy with gen defense perks. And combined with Red Paint Brush (which everyone runs), the cooldown is pretty fast.

I take my item off if there's too many on the team for fairness reasons.
Same. If my team all have items, I’ll just take mine off. I don’t have to, but it just feels right idk.

One v one snipers only on Shipment
Nah 1v1 Rust, 360 no-scopes only.

I play on a crappy laptop and I haven’t crashed once during this event. Perhaps your PC is the issue.
-
One of the many reasons Hag sucks to play against.
-
Well I doubt map offerings are going anywhere. The addition of Sacrificial Ward basically said “hey we know map offerings are too good, but we refuse to remove them, so either use this or git gud.”

I’d be pretty curious about survivor pick rates. Obviously it doesn’t matter since they are just skins but it would be cool to see who the least and most played are
You can probably figure out the most played by counting the number of skins they have haha.
-
Imo the Nightfall mechanic makes him excellent at stomping noobs, and also console players who can barely see their screen.
-
You and most of the Killer player base. Like you said, it doesn’t make sense not to tunnel if you’re playing to win, especially with certain Killers like Wesker whose power makes tunneling even easier. Oh and also patch 6.1 gutting DS and Survivor speed boost only made it stronger. Such exciting gameplay /s
-
Sadako isn’t surprising at all. People figured out how to cheese the Condemned mechanic. You can have a 3v1 at 3 gens. Kinda like Myers with Tombstone Piece, except she can teleport.
-
I will sometimes dodge if I notice an obvious SWF on my team. They tend to be overly altruistic and may throw the match early on.

i know people dont like garden of pain, but my only gripe is the main bulding. sometimes is fine. but most of the time it can create a semi-infinite especially against slower killers
Also just how dark it is in that building. Legit can't see as Survivor or Killer. Would be unplayable if I weren't on PC.

I wasn´t being sarcastic. Or trying to talk you down. Sorry if i made that impression. Way to early for me today.
Oh, understandable! I need some coffee myself. Cheers.

We just need fewer Badhams imo. Not really sure why we have 5.
Please. There should only be 1 Badham, or at least make the other 4 variations stand out in some way.

Maybe, just maybe and hear me out here.
Killers still don´t feel confident enough to play without slowdown. Because gens can still go to fast against good survivors.
Lol I agree with you. No need for the sarcastic baby-talk.
-
First world problems lol. My 1060 is doing fine. Unless you mean Uncapped framerate, which the game isn't designed for. Lot of past bugs were due to uncapping framerate, like falling through the map.

Meta slowdown perks have been nuked. Making gens effectivly the same speed as before (or even faster, if you consider the buffed survivor gen perks).
Short dash time is countered by the inbuild speed bonus after a unhook. The fact that BT even stacks on it makes it kinda ridiculous that its considered to be easier to tunnel now, than before with no protection at all. Furthermore, i see a lot of survivors attempting to body block with the inbuild BT.
OtR took the place of DS. Giving a longer protection time. But i agree that DS could use 2 more seconds of stun time.
Some slowdown perks got trashed, but others got big buffs, like Eruption. The 4 slowdown meta hasn't really changed.

Because the internet told you to. Old prestige was never worth it, especially with the stockpiles of items many people have. Live and you learn, my dude.

Why is it BS when it requires reads more than reactions? the only time you can use it on reaction is when a killer lunges from downtown, or a ranged attack has enough travel time to do so. that only leaves a 0.25 second window (+/- depending on latency) to time its short 0.5 second duration. You can also actually bait this one, since they don't gain distance if you miss: just swing in a way that misses, and you only lose distance from the whiffed swing.
It is extremely strong in very specific situations, but they involve committing to an option so hard your opponent is forced to guess what you chose. Its the exact concept behind mindgames but consolidated and compressed into a single interaction.
Excellent description of Dead Hard. "Mindgames but consolidated and compressed into a single interaction."

Yeah I'm enjoying it. No event is gonna be perfect but this is probably the best one yet.
Even better than Summer BBQ? I wasn't around back then, but I hear people mention it fondly when talking about events.
-
Good question. I remember when they updated it and added more Saw references to the map, which was pretty cool, but it came with a bunch of god pallets. The Game was actually kinda Killer-sided once upon a time. Crazy how times change.
-
To be fair, several Killers are a little too good at proxy camping, then tunneling immediately off hook. Wesker is just the latest addition to the club.
-
@crogers271 said:
I was under the impression this was intentional.
The large black blob (and sound effect) gives the killer time to move away from the hook and toward survivors (reward for doing objectives). Much like how completing a gen gives the survivors a partial vision block as they move away.
You're correct, it is intentional and imo not a huge deal. But I think if most people seem to dislike a feature, it should probably change.
-
Idk what to say man. The ricochet blades require an add-on and the blades that bounce only do 1/2 damage. And Main Event just gets wasted like half the time. Try playing Trickster yourself, and you'll quickly realize how many weaknesses he has.

I think we did a pretty good job so far
Still my fav DBD meme lmao
-
I mean, you still got a 3k. What's the problem? You play Trapper. Of course the gens go fast early. Trapper is a late-game Killer. Maybe play a different Killer if you want to exert pressure early.
-
Stop being sore winners as well. Every time I lose, the other side insists on pouring salt in the wound. Makes me not want to play tbh. Whatever happened to good sportsmanship?
-
It’s not just Doctor. There seems to be a bug with the scream animation in general. Sometimes it will repeat. No biggie. It’s kinda funny.
-
I usually binge DBD for a day or two, then take a week or two off. Breaks are legit important for dealing with this game lmao.
Also, we only get content every 3 months. Maybe if updates were more frequent, I would play more often.
-
I'm willing to bet 90%+ of players don't hit every great skill check. Just run 4 slowdowns if it bothers you that much.
-
If you hit 100 already, you may need to think about your life choices 😂
-
reaching Rank 1 or Iridescent was the main objective of the game
It was? Not for me.
-
Personally, I think old Spine Chill was stronger. Knowing the Killer is looking in my direction is way better than just knowing they're close. Plus, most people like myself have stopped running it post-rework.
-
I dislike the Nightfall mechanic. His character model is pretty cool though.
-
Nurse + Midwich + Lethal Pursuer = gg ez
-
Luckily for them, Stadia players actually have cross-progression. So no biggie.

@xni6_ said:
honestly? killer should see more of what the survivors have
not perks, but a killer cant tell the difference between an addonless brown toolbox being used for archives, and a 52 charge commodius
or a brown medkit with no addons, and a purple medkit with +28 charges. or a green medkit that heals 30% faster
Then people who bring good items would be tunneled out. It is better to keep it vague.
-
Any game I’ve played that had a PTB was PC only. Iirc console updates have to jump through a bunch of extra hoops and red tape. So it’s just faster and more efficient to do PC only.
-
🦀🦀🦀 MACRO CLICKING IS DEAD 🦀🦀🦀
-
Nope. Even the absolute worst DBD player can reach P100 given enough time. I assure you there are plenty of players with 1000+ hours that play terribly.
-
Killer is fine after 6.1. Only a few specific Killers need buffs. Blanket buffs are dumb. Nurse and Blight don’t need to be even stronger.
-
I wonder which there are more of: cheaters or rage-quitters? Either way, the chance of a match being ruined is sky high right now.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
No thanks.
To prevent hostage taking, I’d rather the devs implement a time limit for matches. If survivors don’t escape by something like 20 minutes they all die but they don’t count as kills for the killer.
They seem weirdly resistant to time limits for whatever reason. Apparently, a match will end after 2 hours max (it will kick you out). So, just lower that threshold to 25 minutes and we're good.

Slugging is only problem with bleeding to death, and slug for 4K. The slugging strat for pressure isnt.
- The change only make tunneling harder (since there is no point to slug and pressure), once you down, you get to hook, no slug.
- Or you face extreme killers that get builds to 4 down fast. Nurse + Haunted ground + Retribution is a thing.
They could just allow survivors to self-kill after 45sec on the ground, and Yellow mori basekit.
I agree honestly. Slugging is only problematic in certain scenarios. This blanket nerf to all slugging feels wrong.
I love your comics by the way uwu
-
I wish. Cat's outta the bag, bud.
-
Tunneling will become even more prevalent with slugging out of the picture. But idk, doesn't base-kit DS seem overkill when Survivors are already getting base-kit Unbreakable?
