Death. Death. Death. Death.

Like @CashelP14 said: I think it DOES give you the points, only the notification is not displayed.
Testing it should be easy: repair one gen on your own, then search a chest or do something else that gives you a low amount of Objective BP. The circle representing your Objectives score should be about 12,5% full when "chest searched" notification shows up.
Still, it should be fixed, it's rather annoying.

I'm officially speaking on Behaviour's behalf here:
Ok.

Why on earth should a single survivor have a decent chance against a killer? That just makes no sense. They should have a SLIM chance. @Sleephartha , you're exaggerating when you're saying there's no chance for last survivor. I don't know the numbers, but I've been playing a lot, and often they get out.
The smart ones. The ones that know they should go find the Hatch when there's only two of them left. Yes, EGC can screw you over, but only if you're unprepared. Think: if the killer is a Huntress, Hag, or any slow/normal speed killer, you may still have a shot at exit gates, but if it's a Billy, Spirit, Nurse, once there's only you and another survivor left, you should start frantically looking for the hatch, and find it before your mate. Then, you just have to wait for the other to die.
Don't want to be sarcastic about it, but the new Hatch and EGC mechanic is something you should ADAPT TO. It's a great change, the fact that it puts pressure on you is proof that it works well.
-
Nothing special, but I got accused of wallhacking two times yesterday. It never happened to me before.
Can someone confirm: does it mean I'm actually getting better at Nurse?
-
@ParalyKoK that's a big LOL right there. Game is more fun than ever.

Please @BACKSTABBER just stop with the baits.

I disagree, both the survivors and killers need a fair chance here. If the gates are within 32 meters from each other then that's just GG, minus well wait in a corner for 2 minutes rather than trying tbh. Overall, I don't care what side it benefits, if it's too unfair then it needs a change as soon as possible imo.
@NMCKE you had a fair chance when the game starts. You shouldn't have a "fair chance", when there's only one of you. Not that I wouldn object to a fixed minimum distance between gates. But keep in mind, if gates are VERY far from each other, it's the killer that's screwed. Maybe a fixed maximum distance would make sense too.
-
Hilarious. Not the original joke itself so much (that too), but the fact that many of us, including myself, are so up-in-arms about certain elements of the game, that we failed to recognize the GODDAMN OBVIOUS joke.
Makes me think.
(Thank you @Aari_Piggy66 for pointing it out, so I did not embarrass myself as my fellow salt golems.)
-
@meiygo I honestly don't mean it in a condescending way, but you should play more. Hillbilly is one of the strongest killers, yes, but Leatherface is relatively weak. And even Billy can be completely prevented from hitting you with a chainsaw... just make sure you're always aware of the closest area with windows or pallet loops.
-
Why? It's 2 minutes, or if downed, 3. And, as others in other threads pointed out, it will soon become less common, as people will have enough if the beautiful spectacle of EGC sacrifice.
-
Bragging.
Totally worth it.
-
For anyone who has an issue with the option to close Hatch, and the chance of gates being too close, making it easy for the killer to hunt down the last survivor, consider this:
For a very long time, once hatch was open, killers were screwed. This time, once Hatch is closed by the killer, it's the last survivor who is screwed, true, but unlike with the previous hatch system, the current endgame mechanic still offers ways to turn the game around. As a survivor, you should plan for this. Think ahead, prepare. Get a purple key, scout out Hatch BEFORE your last mate dies, also find out how far the exit gates are placed, even take Wake Up (I know Wake Up is still a joke, but it can help a little).
It's a new experience for all of us, I know: no more easy escapes if we are the last survivor standing. But if you use your brain, you can get out. EGC is definitely a big step towards a healthier game.
-
Lol the Chinese indeed are LEGION :)
Which one of those are you? I mean, where are you from?
-
My friend, your post is awfully long, so I I didn't read half of it. Probably moot too: I'm sure Freddy rework is already done, and now they're just testing it.
However, not knowing you're actually sleeping is a very fun proposal (one that has come up earlier in the forums). I hope there will be something like this with new Freddy.
-
Here, this may help you:
-
Yea, that's about the only feature I'll miss a lot :( I understand why it was removed, but it was so funny.
I'm wondering if the loading screen text about "the Entity is especially amused by Hatch escape interrupts" was removed as well. If not, it may be confusing for players not paying attention to patch notes.

I just meant people might actually want to see those creatures in the game. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a freaking Nazgûl killing people left and right?
Uhh.. I certainly wouldn't.
Now it's gonna haunt me: "New chapter out! New survivor: Bilbo Baggins". That's a proper nightmare right there.

You do realize that by giving those examples, you're actually arguing for setting this precedent by introducing a Xenomorph, right?
@Orion Definitely not my intention. Not sure why you think that, I'm a 100% arguing against it.
-
Nasty, but a lot of fun. Particulary amusing with Wraith: you don't even have to find the Hatch before the last survivor, just follow them, once you can hear the Hatch sound you rush ahead and close it right under their nose.
It is indeed a bad situation for survivors, but it's preventable. I expect they're going to adapt pretty fast: basically, you have to play a little more selfish (great aspect of DBD btw), and actively look for the Hatch when there are only two of you alive, with 1-2 generators yet to do.
Here's another suggestion: there are loads of purple and Skeleton Keys in survivors' possession. Take one with youself, and in the lobby, tell the other survivors you're going to put it down in basement or by some other simple landmark. Then, any of you can pick it up either if it's a 1v1 endgame with closed Hatch, or enough gens repaired for it to appear.
EGC is just awesome. I hereby withdraw all my previous criticism about it, including the Remember Me nerf.
-
I'm not entering the dogfight about whether Billy is OP or not. But one thing I don't understand is this: most killers don't have an instadown, and they're slow (yes, 115% is quite slow). Yet this particular killer is both very fast, AND he has an instadown. Funny, since high mobility by itself is the best thing a killer can have.
Can we please take one of these from Billy and give it to Clown? Pretty please?
-
Really, if a Xenomorph killer was introduced, what could come next? A nazgul? A vogon? A sandworm? Those of you who campaign for Alien: sorry, but it's sooooooo off. I don't even care about the lore that much, but there is a pattern: killers come from the real world, they're not mystical, not sci fi, nothing of the sort. Putting Alien in the game would make as much sense as putting an Alien in Breaking Bad.
And let us not forget, it would be horrible gameplaywise too. Either it's a true alien, then it would have to be OP, or it could be a balanced killer, but then it would not be Alien. Imagine four random guys armed with flashlights and toolboxes only in a closed area... no way they could escape a Xenomorph.

@Nick said:
Left Behind. It got 'buffed' but you cant repair generators in the End Game Collapse. I don't see the point in using it.
@Nick oh yes, it's so annoying. I'd say it should give you 15/30/45% bonus for 1/2/3 dead mates. Tweak the numbers to balance, but in general, it's such a beautiful concept that gives you advantage for other survivors dying, great for a selfish playstyle.
-
Finding a Broken Key in a chest is annoying, I understand, but otherwise they're a great item. You can basically get an extra Bond ability, or with more limited use, a powerful tool to show you killer's aura.
As for the perk suggestion: god no. They already increased chances of finding purple/pink keys in chests after last event, the last thing we need is more Hatch escapes.
Yeah I'm a whiny killer.
-
Wake Up is the new meta :D
-
Like others said, may confuse survivors, and extend the range of TR based perks. But frankly, most TR based perks are not that great, so, unless you're trying to farm Deviousness points, it makes no sense using Distressing on anyone else than Doc.
I want to add though, I had a lot of fun with this Wraith build:
- Distressing
- Overcharge
- Brutal Strength
- Unnerving Presence
Use The Beast: Soot addon, so you have a TR even when cloaked, and Jigsaw Piece offering. Not saying it's any guarantee for a 3-4K but you can make the game very stressful for survivors :)
-
You should leave through the hatch. It's easy, if you're smart enough to look for it BEFORE EGC starts. When there is one teammate still alive (and if 3 gens are already repaired), don't bother about generators or rescuing your buddy, just go find the hatch. With a bit of luck, you'll be out before the killer can get you.

Well I’m gay and don’t actually care that much about my total post.
That's horrible :(
I pray for you.
-
It's 3 min though, isn't it? That's what I remember from dev stream.
-
God, don't report them. They're so much fun! I love getting these messages, and I know I'm not alone.
-
Maybe you've been sold the same lie I was: friend of mine told me having a lot of posts on game forums can get me chicks.
That was in 1999. I'm still a virgin. Prepare yourself.
-
Ruin (and possibly other Hex perks): no lit totems, instead, cleansing dulls gradually decrease its effect.
Well, I'd actually prefer that Ruin was not totem based but that would cause a rebellion :)

Sexual predator better
@BACKSTABBER hey you already have me!

The sci-fi(-ish) feel of Predator would put me off. I don't think he would fit the game. And let's be honest, Predator movies are horribly bad (well, Scream movies too, so I guess it's not a big issue for BHVR). I like the pattern that most killers started their career as more or less regular rapists, murderers (occasionally murder victims), but not aliens, robots, interdimensional beings or whatever. Don't forget, a Xenomorph or a Predator has superhuman strength, tracking abilities, speed and so on. It would be ridiculous to watch them being looped for half an hour only because they can't quite deal with a wooden pallet.
-
Uhh, I'm not sure it's a worthy goal...
-
Completely unnecessary. Dying Light is a decent perk. We don't get much chance to put a 25% repair penalty to survivors. Thana is a joke, Ruin is nice but very vulnerable, etc.
And don't forget, Dying Light or not, many of us will keep tunneling, simply because it can be effective if done well (early game). After all, killing one survivor is also a 25% decrease on repair speed for the survivor team :)
-
Middle finger? Pelvic thrust? Emotes would further erode the horror atmosphere, but at this point, why the hell not.
-
Gotta love them drama queens :)

Downvoting for what you said about feng
@Hoodedfengm1n it's true though. That's why it hurts eh?

Yup, buy all them DLC-s. For all its faults, the game is still a lot of fun, devs do a lot of good stuff and keep working on it. A few bucks is a ridiculously low price to show some support. Yeah I'll buy Ghostface DLC, even though I find the Scream movies terrible.
-
Make sure you find the hatch BEFORE the third survivor dies. If you do that, you'll almost certainly get there before the killer. If you fail/refuse to do that, that's on you. Why would you ask for an easy way out?
-
Léry's and Azarov's are very survivor friendly maps, I hate them, but I feel lucky when I get them as survivor.
As killer, my favourite is Shelter Woods. Really screws up BL users, but in general it's the best map for any killer.
And believe it or not, I love the Game map both as survivor and killer.
-
This gives a bit on an edge to Doc, which is a good thing: if someone does an unsafe resuce, put the unhooked survivor in Madness 3, then chase the rescuer. It used to be a bit unfair, but now that your DW timer pauses while you're in the killer's TR, it's relatively easy to counter. While it still can lead to some funny "OH F*CK" moments.
In short, it's ok the way it is.
-
Playing the sabotage game is really hard and requires good teamwork and a bit of luck. I have the utmost respect for teams who can pull it off effectively, simply because it's 99% of the time not a winning strategy. Not to mention the good laughs when a someone sabotages a hook right in front of me while I'm carrying.

I'm devastated. Maybe I should re-evaluate my way of thinking...
@ClogWench you're on your way there. Got the smartass part covered, but you still have to work a little on the grumpiness element.
-
The only problem is RNG: on a map like Azarov's, Léry's or basically any big size map most killers willl have a hard time preventing you from opening a gate. IF they spawn far away from each other. Then again, if gates are too close, you're dead. Completely depends on luck.
A number of players here suggest a minimum distance between gates, and that would be reasonable. Although a slight increase on gate opening time may be necessary too.
There are a lot of other options as well: IF there is no required minimum distance, and one gate can spawn right next to the other, devs could also play around with the lamps above the switch. Currently the first one is lit up when opening progress is about 15-20%. If they only started lighting up at 50% or so, you could make a sneaky inch by inch opening, even with the killer watching from a nearby hill.
Or, there could be a "master switch", lighting up the same time when last gen is done or hatch is closed. This would be a switch located somewhere away from the gates, and it could open one or both.
Lots of options, but as much as I enjoy having two gates spawning near and just not letting last survivor escape, this indeed needs a little tweaking.
-
"Parental supervision". That was vicious :) But correct, too.
-
@Poweas "Looks like we got our wish, they widened the stairs."
wait what? They did?
-
Windows 10 is very solid though, nothing like those days with XP and before. Alttabbing is very smooth. So what's holding you from just watching a few minutes of your favourite sitcom while you're waiting?
-
Ok, let's face it. We fell for an obvious bait by a smurf/troll.
Again.
