What they’re actually going to do about Bubba facecamping.
And potentially DH nerfs/rework, although I expect that to happen with the mid-chapter.
-
"A brilliant man had a vision"?
Felix is the architect of the cast. Wonder if he had anything to do with this?
-
The old one was found by many to be headache inducing.

What looks like a house plan on the rightYou sure it's on the right?
On that, it makes me wonder whether the new map is going to be indoors.
-
Hmm…?
(solid chance this is way too obscure of a reference)
(honestly, go play Inscryption, it’s great.)
-
I wouldn't dc. You'll die quickly enough anyway, so it's really not worth eating a penalty.
Beyond that...
-
I mean, there's also the people that complain that play about things from both sides. Slight bias is always inevitable, however.
-
Do you mean your pips? Those can still go down, yes. Your grade (ie, Ash 2, Gold 1, etc.) cannot fall to a lower number once you've reached it.
-
Also, you say Dutch, but I can't find their Dutch twitter? I didn't even know this existed.

Omg wouldn't it be cool if it had something to do with the guy from his lore? Otto something?
Otto Stamper? That's Doc's mentor, I believe.

Yet it's called Raccoon City Police Station, which would be RCPS.

Yes, and? As I said, I only lose 1 minute and find another good match. If the killer wants easy 4k I give it to him
The lack of empathy for your teammates is astounding.

@dictep said:
i don’t see tunneling as a problem. Same as camping.. If I see a tunneler killer I run to him and let him kill me. You only lose 1 minute and you can find another match with a fair killer
Ah, so just throwing the game, then? Sounds like a healthy solution.
-
Eh. It's way too rapid and cartoony. It feels more like it belongs to Identity V than DbD, imo.

There are 3 words in your post that illustrate what I think is one of the most confusing things about survivors that complain about camping - "inevitable save attempt". This is a strategy that should yield at most 2 kills per match. However, anyone that has played this game on a regular basis knows that isn't what happens. I sat and watched my wife play a match just yesterday against a Bubba. She was the first person hung, and it was in the basement. She was running kindred. So everyone could see this Bubba didn't even leave the basement. He didn't even take a step away from the hook. Yet within a few seconds another survivor comes running down to unhook her. Of course this being a Bubba they were instadowned and hooked. You would think this would have served as an example for the other 2 survivors to not go running down to the basement. Nope. A few seconds later here comes another survivor. Same result. The fourth survivor ended up creeping around the shack until the other 3 were dead.
If these other survivors would have played with even the slightest bit of strategy and decided to do gens while this Bubba camped the first person on the hook. They could have easily knocked out 3 gens before she even died. Instead 2 of them marched down the basement to get hooked like they have some obligation to go to a certain death in an attempt to unhook the person being camped in the basement. I get altruism, but that isn't altruism.
The problem with camping isn't the killer. They aren't breaking any rules by camping. If survivors want to see camping become less of a thing stop playing in ways that reward it. Survivors willingly sacrificing themselves to camping killers provides them with all the incentive they need to keep camping. Why stop camping when survivors will basically reward you for doing it by presenting themselves for easy kills?
As for killers that camp..... I say go for it. No need to feel bad about utilizing a winning strategy, especially when survivors are the ones that make it that way.
Sounds like a problem with object permanence more than anything, tbh.

You actually thought it was a hoax?
-
Léry’s and The Game are the only one that still confuse me. The former because it’s very random, and the latter because I for some reason just cannot establish a mental compass on it.
-
For such a short action, I don't see how this would make for an impactful change.
The problem with snuffing lies in finding/getting to the thing in the first place.
-
Like all the other netease animations, the animation is really off for some reason.
-
If you want to talk about neglected killers, more than a quarter of the roster would be more apt than these two.
-
This is precisely why I hope they will at some point do alternates for the unique TR/chase themes. Oni’s was solid.

Pretty much every non-choice social minority is represented. Women, people of color, LGBT+. And future LGBT+ characters will increase types of LGBT+ representation. What is missing?
I'm inclined to believe Claudette's tome specifically also hints at her being autistic or something akin to that. So there's that too.
-
Random chance, I’m afraid. Could just as easily have been two deadzone tiles.
-
@jesterkind said:
In fairness to survivors, they can't exactly do anything about a killer hard-tunnelling them unless they bring one specific perk, or hope that their teammate brought the other specific perk that helps against tunnelling.
Tunnelling is a legitimate strategy for killers to employ, but because it's a legitimate strategy, there should be a basekit answer to it. That's my view, anyway.
This. Precisely.
-
Then they’ll just stand in front of it. This won’t change the issue I imagine you have.

Permamento as in Permanent Pentimento. It was a play on words.
Y'know what, I should've realised that. My bad, lol.
-
Of note is that it cannot be seen or heard by the killer.
-
I can't be the only one who enjoys the ever-changing misspellings of pentimento.
-
I villainise teammates and maps. Hardly ever the opposition.
-
Plague.
-
no
-
Survivors can yoink 'em as well, provided they are doing the challenge too.
-
I do. But I was also unbothered by Hag and Nurse's tomes apparently being tragically flawed so what do I really know.

Both. The offering and now the map as well.

The stairs are fine, alot of houses are like this.
Tho I agree in some areas I feel like a GIANT
And others I feel like a wee BABY
Most residential stairs have barely enough room for 2 people to pass each other. The ones in Myers' house can fit at least 3 alongsides each other.

DH- Most the time you just run close to them bait out the dh then swing, sometimes they get to a pallet but a lot of times they just do it if you are close.
-Coh- The perk hex:undying shows the aura of people messing with totems which in this meta 90 percent chance they are blessing it at higher mmr so you can see who on the team to focus that has said boon.
Most of the time? Dunno what survivors you're facing, but "most of the time" it's used to gain an uncontestable speed boost at the exact time the survivor needs it.
As for your CoH counter, I didn't actually consider that.
-
Awesome post! Truly, heartwarming.
have a cute birb.

It’s the stairs. They’re absurdly wide.

Dead hard you just learn to time your attacks different spine chill just got to not look right at a generator while going towards it. Coh tunnel the person that puts it down idk no real counter to it besides plague
DH - can’t time anything when it’s used outside your swinging range.
Spine Chill - I agree.
CoH - And how exactly do I know who booned? If there’s a Mikaela, solid chance it’s her, but then that results in unwarranted tunneling just because of the character.
-
Thought this was gonna be about CoH.
-
I imagine Nurse’s would combo well with it. I don’t see that perk much as of late.

Surprised ‘#########’ didn’t get censored.
(But it did get censored for me?)As for the guy… Eh. There are some truly bewildering people out there. That’s all I can really say.

Isn’t the endorsement system virtually pointless there?
Like, you just spam it around without any real thought behind it because it gives you more xp or something.

It teaches Survivors to do their thing and not purposely get in a Killers face whilst teabagging, clicking, etc.
Bubbas will facecamp over nothing. What does that teach anyone?
