Quentin, specifically the pre-visual downgrade Quentin.

I don't think going back to rank 20 is good if you were rank 1. You could be against a new player, and I don't find it fun to destroy a poor new Wraith/Meg player who doesn't truly understand the mechanics yet.
But IIRC, when the MMR will come to the game, ranks won't count as your skill level, but more or less like a level you grind for a reward. So you'll be back to rank 20 each time.
You didn't exactly go back all the way to 20 back in the day, at least not on the Rank Reset which I so fondly remember. But you did go further than 5 if you were a Rank 1.

I literally just changed it ;)

Revert Remember Me? I am in!

Honestly? A lot.
Way too many examples to name, but I will say that Pokemon is one of my favorite franchises.
-
I know for a fact that this is a thing on consoles, but as a PC player I've never seen it happen.
-
I am not really a fan of cosmetics, but the only possible answer for this question are the "Blighted" outfits.

I used to run it. It was my crutch, being the Bush that I am, but I’ve moved on to Inner Strength. It’s amazing since most people don’t cleanse totems, and it hard counters Nurses Calling. It just sucks when you can’t find a totem on Midwich.
I just wish it would get buffed to letting me cleanse two totems and save two heals.
I used Inner Strength for some time too, but Self-Care is in my blood.

Is this your name in the game? Just wondering so I know to dodge you if you're a random in my lobby
Yes, but it has "Hex:" before it. Don't worry though, we most likely don't play on the same region.

They should also double the amount of pallets, just for fun
Double the pallets, double the fun :)

I use Self-Care simply because I am old fashioned. In my book, this perk is still in the meta.
-
I actually don't know. I am an introvert, and extremely shy, so it is a little bit harder for me to make friends. Though I would say Claudette and Quentin seem like good friends.

You're so welcome! I have always appreciated how you seem to try to bridge the gap between Killers and Survivors and are a positive, helpful, and informative source here. I'm glad to know that you're going to stay aboard the forums and while I don't wish to derail this thread too much by asking about what is removing you from the game I will say that I hope that future changes will bring you back. We've both been around for about the same amount of time so we know this game has highs and lows!
It will get better!
Your words warm my heart, my friend.
And yes, hopefully it will get better eventually.

Damn really? BFN kinda got rid of the charm with the new art style and lack of character variants so I always stuck to GW2 like a lot of people
But of course! I play GW 2 since 2018 (like DBD, actually).
And when I played BFN for the first time...my disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined.

Did they remove Freddy's claw marks on his P3? If so that is an absolute travesty. I think that they could have reworked Quentin and improved him but kept the sleepy look which as you said was his whole character, but now he just looks like a very average high schooler to me.
I'm saddened to hear that you're playing less DbD! You've been such a constant on these forums that I hope you're not leaving the community or game, I always enjoy your posts!
Yes, they did. His P3 was easily the best in the entire game, and now it is garbage. Quentin is not Quentin anymore.
And thank you so much for your kind words, my friend. Someone liking my posts is not something that I see every day. Sadly, when it comes to the game itself I believe my time is past. Not the happiest outcome for someone who has been surviving and killing in the Fog since 2018, but if DBD will never return to be the game I once loved then I have no reason to stay.
However, I can assure you that I will not leave the Forums, or the community.
-
The current lack of Fog is something that I REALLY despise. But sadly, I am not in a position to make changes to the game.
Because if I was...Boy, if I only was...
-
Don't even remind me of this game.
I loved GW 2, played as much as I could. BFN was a huge disappointment for me.

Garden warfare 2 was my jam but BFN was kinda bad imo
First F13, and now GW 2? We have a lot in common, my friend ;)
-
Devour Hope. This perk might not be the absolute best on her, but by the Entity it is so damn fun!
-
Honestly, the only "new" thing I want is a mode with 2 killers, and I don't care how unbalanced it would be.
-
I have absolutely no idea.
If I am not mistaken, my highest win streak was with Old Freddy during the old Rank Reset, but I don't know the exact number of matches.
-
Keys or 4 flashlights. When those things come into play, all rules are off.

I wasn't playing yet when Doc had these two modes, what were they that made his camping so strong?
Basically, The Doctor was the first Killer to have had two different stances, Punishment Mode for regular attacks and Treatment Mode to use his Power .Treatment Mode allowed The Doctor to perform grabs, but prohibited any attacks with his primary weapon.Since Treatment grabs were virtually guaranteed to succeed, it made it extremely dangerous to go for an unhook against a Treatment mode Doctor in attack range.
-
Doc used to be a very good camper because of a small trick you could do back when he had 2 different modes.
But now...I would say Bubba is still the king.

I don't think this can work based on what others have said
The only meaningful way to stop tunneling is to slow the game down. I'm going to assume that most killers tunnel because of how fast gens seems to go by. The more gens are completed the more the killer is going to Tunnel in order to get an advantage. So if there is a way to slow down the game then killers would find tunneling as unessacary since they have the time to get 12 hooks. This is ignoring tunneling to be toxic though.
That is basically what happened, at least in my experience, with Old Undying.
Playing survivor was a good experience for me at the time, because with the secondary objective being almost mandatory, killers could easily afford to switch targets and tunneling was basically gone.
-
Survivor: Me and at least 1 other teammate escaped the trial.
Killer: 3k or 4k.
-
I wouldn't mind, I suppose.
It has been years since I watched Candyman and I barely remember the movie.
-
It could have its previous nerfs reverted, but the existence of STBFL makes this perk very dangerous to mess with.
-
As soon as I read the title, I knew it was you.
Who else would ask for a non-scary character in a horror game?
-
Hopefully not, or next thing you know Pig has Dream Snares with an Overheat Mechanic, paired with an add-on that only works for a few seconds after she gets blinded.
-
It has been quite a while since the last time I saw someone call Borrowed Time a "crutch".
-
I misread your title, and for one second I was like:
Vacuum? Pallet Vacuum 2021?
And then I realized...

If they got away fine then they didn't mess up, you did. Just because you hear the scream doesn't mean you "deserved" the hit. You're just frustrated that you heard them scream because you associate the scream with a hit. If they didn't scream you would be none the wiser. The server is the referee now, instead of your client, which is 100% more fair. No offense but you need to get over your Pavlovian conditioning.
The thing is, on some of those moments I had the best ping of the lobby. If the server is the referee, then it should've given me the hit on those situations at least, since what was happening on my screen was closer to what happened in the server.
But it didn't do that, regardless of my ping.
-
I am happy for the people who are, somehow, enjoying this new stun validation, but I know I am not.
I've literally had situations where I hit a survivor, I hear their scream, I see the blood...and they walk away as if nothing had happened.
One of those moments happened during a critical scenario, which eventually allowed that survivor to escape. This isn't fair.
If a survivor messes up the pallet timing, they should be punished. Not me.
I couldn't see much of it as a survivor, my experience was limited and most killers were respecting pallets. Trust me, I would love a return to hardcore looping instead of the "hold W" thingy, but this probably isn't the best way to do it.
-
I tip my hat to you, one legend to another.
Everyone who perfers this...not-Quentin do not deserve to play him.
They are not worthy!

I will never love Haddonfield because of all the headaches it’s caused me.
Reworked maps are far more annoying to me than Haddonfield ever was.

Mother's Dwelling was always one of my favorites, and every map which hasn't been reworked is good in my book.

Nothing is worse then 1.9.2, at least for me since I came to the game right before the SAW DLC was released.
I didn't join the Fog until December of that year, but I can imagine how bad it was for the players that were here at the time.

I don't think it's that bad. I think it's bad for most people because since the server now will care about who send the hit/stun first, for people who play the game who live away from a datacenter in their region where DBD is hosted, it's problematic,
But this is also somewhat funny, just imagine a player within 5-10 of ping, against a Killer within 40-50 of ping, this Survivor will always get the priority of pallets, it will look incredible unfair in the Killer client side, same goes for this player if he plays Killer with such little ping.
It is so bad that I, with a good ping mind you, hit a David with my Chainsaw, I heard him scream, I saw the blood...and he walked away as if nothing had happened.
This isn't fair. He messed up the timing, therefore he deserves to get punished, not me.

I forgot, what happened back then again?
Flashlight and pallet saves guaranteed, regardless of the timing:
"Fixed an issue that made it impossible to rescue a dying survivor with a pallet/flashlight save while being picked up or dropped mid animation. Now, the pick up/drop animation will play fully, followed by the flashlight/pallet stun."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjGXsKsCdvgEasily the worst Patch in DBD's history, followed by Patch 3.1.0 and then all the other bad ones.
-
Not sure if it compares to the atrocious Patch 1.9.2, but this new stun validation is utter garbage and it needs to get fixed, or better yet, removed as soon as possible.
-
The reports go through, of course, but I doubt anyone has actually been banned because of what they said. Which is, honestly, quite sad.
I've seen players who truly deserved to get banned, but it is just like the real, boring world: sometimes criminals walk away without punishment.

That message being 'Nerf any Killer that we are too lazy to learn to play against.' 😁
Unfortunately, yes. That happens to be the message.
-
Honestly, I just want the old maps back.
I miss them :(
-
Honestly, I don't know.
I never experienced a lot of frustration with this game, certainly not as much as most people say.
My frustration and disappointment mostly comes from recent changes, but that is a personal thing instead of an anctual answer to the question.
-
Nope, though it would've been the best thing to do.
Quentin's rework completely removed his personality, everything that made him the best survivor. His old model may have been the target of many memes, but at least he had that sleep deprived look and Freddy's claw marks on his P3. An ANOES survivor who doesn't look deprived of sleep is, honestly, pathetic.
However, I am not playing DBD enough to get all the perks on someone else. So, every time I return to this game I will stick with not-Quentin.
-
It is not about fun, it is about sending a message.
