This community has every right to complain right now. Game crashes, balanced issues, terrible events, game breaking bugs, disabling maps, NFTs, etc.

37.The Spirit nerfs it seems like the majority of the community likes the changes with the Standstill mind game gone and some add-ons. Some have said this killed Spirit at least in high ranks. Was Spirit wrongly nerfed and dead? Or is she still strong enough?
Y’all already know my opinion on this.
-
Yeah that does sound like a problem. Not sure what the devs were thinking there.
-
Ah sweet 2016. Those were the days I never knew this game existed.
-
He wasn’t my favorite but he was one of my killers I would go and play every now and then. He was fun but now he’s super clunky and just a worse Huntress. Should’ve never touched him in the first place.

How were they too strong? You have to spend a lot of time to find a totem instead of doing a gen, only to get self-care and hide scratch marks in a very tiny area. It's better to use Self-Care because you don't have to spend a lot of time to find a totem, only for it to work in that tiny area.
The radius definitely didn't need nerfed. At least make the healing much faster like a green emergency medkit so it is worth all the risk.
Must not forget they are so loud the Killer doesn't even have to look for it.
The difference between COH and Self-Care is you give healing benefits to all of your teammates. One survivor having the perk means everyone can use it.

She has enough problems right now with Shadowstep and Iron Will, while survivors can hear her....
I haven’t had much of an issue playing her.

I hear, I miss the old ones, not as survivor, but as killer, they were so broken, and fun.
I wasn’t around long enough to know what it was like to play with or against those add ons. I’ve seen gameplay though, and it looked miserable as survivor but so fun as killer. It definitely needed a change though.

Fathers Glasses was equally badly designed. It is not good to remove counterplay from a Killer, especially when this counterplay involves smart Survivor gameplay. You can fake scratchmarks, but not Blood (Fathers glasses) or your actual Location (Cherry Blossom).
The Downside of removing Scratch Marks is not really good for such a big Upside which basically negates the Downside immediatly.
I actually didn’t have a problem with Father’s Glasses. It was good for an ultra rare and never thought it was unfair. It’s mainly a counter to Iron Will and is only potentially too good with Sloppy Butcher.

The downside of not seeing scratch mark is pretty good for +40% speed. The problem is the dried Cherry addon which has the same downside. Mean using both of these addon only give 1 downside.
MD ring should replace the downside with "not able to hear".
So if you use these 2 addon, you dont see scratch mark or hear at all. But you have massive speed and instinct already.
Maybe DCB can use the deaf downside and increase the range to 8 meters.

But the point is they didn’t change them they got so much feedback that those addons were op and strong but they weren’t nerfed. Stop this mentality that everything that’s strong gets nerfed to the ground. Nurse was nerfed 6 times and yet she’s still strong. Spirit just got nerfed everyone said she’s gutted she’s still the same. It took 4 years just to nerf Iridescent head.
Nah Spirit is gutted. I think we should just forget that she doesn’t move 76% faster than survivors and is still practically invisible. Survivors have complete control and it’s healthier to say a killer a trash than it is to actually learn the killer. She’s hard, just too hard.

Can we please stop asking for nerfs? BHVR always takes it too far.
Sometimes things in this game need to be nerfed. I hope they don’t turn them useless but the combo is ridiculous and definitely needs to be touched.

@PleassBuiltInNoed said:
right, make another ultra-rare addon so bad nobody will use it like most of them on majority of killers
I never said made it bad, it’s just too strong and needs to be touched. I literally main Spirit too lol.

So you basically admit NFTs are harmful for the environment yet your argument for it is “it’s not the only thing harmful for our planet.” Why don’t we try protecting our planet more than actually destroying it?

Or you can hear which side she is on and stay safe. There is no mindgame.
There wasn’t any mind games at all with old Spirit. She gave no information in the terror radius.

COH can be toned down a bit but not too much.

what's the thoughts on nemecis being C tier? he seems like a pretty unique killer with basic gameplay at heart. i would like to know why put neemsis in with 2 anti-loop only killers? i don't think his anti-loop power is as strong as those 2 anyways, it's more like a mix of pyramid head and huntress: shorter wind-up and hit speed, but extremely low range and not as lethal
It's mainly because of how RNG his zombies are and I really hate RNG. Some games they win you games, some games they get stuck in corners and do nothing. The survivors nor the killers have any impact over how the zombies perform and that's not how a PvP game should function. They're an intriguing secondary power but something needs to be done about the AI.

If we're talking narrative design, your list is basically upside-down, with some wibblies in the middle.
Honestly, though, I think the major 'balanced and healthy' one you got wrong is Cenobite. He's strong, can deal appropriate 1v4 and 1v1, his major issue is that Engineer's Fang is basically required to make him viable at all levels in an average player's hands - but even without, he's probably the healthiest release since Pyramid Head. Of course, the same can't be said for the actual DLC: I'm just talking about the matches that stay stable.
I think he's stronger than people give him credit for. His chains can get the job done if you know how to use them. He's also got really good game delay and map pressure. Fun to play as and against. Although, if me playing as him means I'm playing an NFT associate, then maybe I should reconsider that thought.

Imagine thinking that
"Killer puts trap down" as his entire power is a mid tier design in your book.
but "Killer that teleports and maneuvers like no one else" is in the same tier as "run faster" killer
Imagine not understanding that I don't have to have the same opinion as you.

@Yords said:
I would honestly put pinhead in s tier.
Currently, the RNG and the lack of reward for hitting long range chains is the only thing stopping him from being stronger.
However, his power is quite unique and well designed.
His possessed chain ability can be used in a chase and for scouting.
His chain hunt can enhance his chasing and tracking abilities. And it also helps by being natural slowdown.
Whenever you have no pressure on the survivors, you can teleport to a survivor with the box and immediately start a chase.
Sure he is still a little inconsistent, but even right now he is not bad at all in terms of design. I say to add him in your s tier.
I’m glad you brought up the RNG nature of Pinhead. I actually would’ve put him in the top tier if it weren’t for that. I’m just not a fan of RNG which is why Pig is bottom because she’s the definition of RNG.

It was keys but now they got a well deserved nerf. Flashlight clicking can be obnoxious but in terms of the impact of a match, probably medkits.

I disagree Nurse doesn't play DBD. Sure things like pallets and windows aren't as useful against her, but Nurse is probably the killer that needs to know the most about map layouts. Windows and pallets can still be used for things like baits and reverse drops, which still work against Nurse.
As someone who plays her daily there's always something new I feel I can learn, and every survivor I go against has a pattern of movement to adapt to.
I respect your opinion as well though, but I think you should probably give her another chance if Spirit is the highest tier for you.
I think post nerf Spirit is the epitome of a balanced killer. She’s very strong and controls the chase but there’s things for both sides to do. Killers are supposed to have the control in the chase but there must be outplay going on and Spirit defines that almost perfectly right now.

I personally find chases as and against Nurse the most interactive in the game. There's always tons of new movements and mindgames you can do, just like with Spirit, Blight and Billy.
Chases against Bubba imo are very dull. It's usually: Bambozlee window --> start chainsaw --> get a pallet or a down. Wraith is also something very similar.
Twins imo were also a very nice design and definitely underrated. They just need some tweaks to make them more fun to play as and against.
I just feel like Nurse doesn’t play DBD and that’s my problem with her. I respect your opinion about her though, but she just doesn’t obey the game rules like everyone else has to.
Twins is a weird one because I like their concept, but they’re designed in a way that forces the Twins player to play in a way that’s unhealthy and unfun.
-
I don’t encounter that many hackers so I don’t have a concrete answer about this. I probably would if they were holding the game hostage though.
-
@Labrac said:
What's design in this case? Because I can't imagine how Bubba, a killer whose power is literally "chainsaw go brrrr", is better designed than Nurse or Twins.
Also why the discrepancy between Spirit and Nurse? I always found both to be very similar.
Because he has counterplay and is interactive for both sides. He also doesn’t ignore every game mechanic and also doesn’t force the killer to play in an unfun way. Now I know Bubbas will do the basement Bubba build but that’s more a problem with the design of Insidious than it does the killer himself.
-
Yeah she’s still strong and in control in the chase, but survivors now have a choice to do something. She’s in a great spot right now.
-
I've been playing Spirit and not really having that much of an issue tbh. I've even had short chases with Iron Will users.
-
This doesn't keep me from enjoying the game I love, but this NFT stuff is such a massive L to BHVR. I don't support anyone who is associated with garbage like that and it makes it even worse when you add the dishonesty to it. As I said, I'll still play DBD because I enjoy the game a lot but I just don't feel bothered to make another purchase on the game until they get their act together.

But you can't get a kill because they're pros, so what do you do?
I'll at least try. We didn't see the Patriots not try in the Super Bowl when they were down 28-3 against the Falcons (I'm a big football fan so please don't judge me).

I played one game with the challenge active and honestly have no idea how purple glyphs work.
-
I am the type of killer to try to get some more points and play for a kill if I needed to.

😐😐😐

How about just don't listen to entitled players and play the game your way? People will call you out for anything and it's not their job to decide how you're supposed to play.

He was completely miserable to play against. He could shoot you 100% outside of TR, and counterplay against him was "weave randomly back and forth and hope for the best." Yeah man, this needed to be nerfed because going against him is one of the most frustrating things in the entire game.
But they made him completely useless and unfun to play as. I hope you realize that making a killer fun to go against doesn't always mean straight nerfing them.
-
It feels like M&A is now a must have on him. It's absolutely ridiculous.

that it won't die in the future and will be used more and more, just like BHVR using NFT's.
Well if BHVR continued to do it and eventually sell them in game, they'll definitely get banned from Steam. Only time will tell.
-
He's also incredibly boring to play as and against. No mindgames, just spam knives until the chase eventually ends, and as Scott Jund says, "hold W and put ######### in the way."

What exactly do you mean by they're the future?
