Honestly, given the Saw series has some pretty iconic theme music ( https://youtu.be/vhSHXGM7kgE ) I'd expect the Pig to get something based on it in some way.
I believe the license to that music isn't owned by the SaW franchise, so that's kind of why it was never given to The Pig in the first place.
Either that or it's just a licensing issue all together.

It doesn't take him out of cloack but it should, or at least it did... I think it's a bug.
For context if you need it, just so more reports are on it if this has happened to you
-
It's a bug, you weren't supposed to be reset all the way back to 11 from 4, that isn't how it's supposed to work.
[Here's the link to the post that first mentions this change]:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/108852/patch-notes-3-4-0-cursed-legacy#latest
[Here's the quote from said post]:
"Rank Reset: The Rank Reset will now reset players back one rank crest color. Players who end the season in Red Ranks (1-4) will be reset to Purple Ranks (5), Purple Ranks (5-8) get reset to Green Ranks (9), Green Ranks (9-12) get reset to Yellow Ranks (13) and finally Yellow (13-16) gets reset to the Brown Crest Ranks (17)."
So... what does this mean?
It means this is a bug because the quote specifically states that you will be reset back one rank crest color... not 2 like you were.
If you're in Red Ranks (1-4) you would've been reset back to Purple Ranks (5), so being reset all the way back to an uneven number in Green seems like a glitch, since the rank you got reset back to doesn't even follow the new format above in the quote.
Your options
- (1) You can report this in the Bug Report sub-forum so it's cataloged
- (2) You can report this to the support team to see if they can reset you back to Purple and not Green.
- (3) Or 3, you can do both of these options.
I will be providing both links below for the Bug Report sub-forum and the Support link as well to submit a ticket.

The ruin was because last Rift we had Ruin. So I just mentiond it. As a lot of survivors are enjoying gen rushing so I was agreeing that your unlikely to max it out as 800 exp.
Fair enough. I tended to artificially increase it in PS4 as survivor ques at the time were unimaginable horrid. Since then I have moved to PC full time and regularly enjoyed better que times.
Right, well hopefully he finds a middle ground to his issue.
He has like... 68 days so, I don't really think he'll have that much of an issue hitting Tier 70. While yes it can be perceived as a grind it really just depends on how much he does at a time.

I know, but I wanted to state that otherwise it could really discourage someone from actively trying if they happened upon the thread.
With Ruin gone you are right though the games will go by significantly quicker.
I don't remember adding that Ruin part... but yeah, the games will go by quicker as a result of it's change.
My point though was to just say that he'll most likely only get an average for each game if he doesn't play that much, if the games last longer than he'll naturally have more time to spend doing more... but for him, he'll want faster games, so he won't actively try to artificially inflate the time like some Survivors do... whether intentional or not.

I know I forgot this, but you can get 1 shard per game. The maximum amount of experience per game is 800. I think you need to be in the game for 8 to 10 minutes. Someone did the exact math.
I would suggest doing the killers ones. It's still pretty grindy just a lot more manageable the way I did it without any risk of losing out as long as you hit 20 lvls for each tomes 1,2,3 small break finish rift by completing the 4th tome. I also really really do enjoy the game so i tend to play a lot. Since i play on PS4 and PC i need to officially do both rift's to 70 in case they ever do cross save.
An average game is about 500-400 EXP, an optimal one is 800 EXP... which isn't always going to be every game, especially for Pro-Survivors.
It really just depends on luck in-game and how well you play, if he plays not that often than he will be expected to get the average as a result, since longer games means he'd have more time... but he sadly doesn't.
-
I can give a "small summary" of what was note worthy I suppose. I can try my best to give the exact answers they gave, but I won't obviously get a word for word because I need to cut down on a lot of what they said to save space, i'll only focus on the ruin questions as well, just to cut down on time. A lot of other questions are said after for The Doctor, Tome ll, etc and I can't really write it all up at this time since it's late for me personally.
(Side note: I might also shorten some things that were said to make the answer more compact, but it should still be what they were trying to convey... just modified to save space. I'm not editing their answers to change what they say, this is my attempt for a word to word but just shortened. If I do mess up on some answers that you later go back to check than I apologize, i'm just human after all not a robot.)
Questions about ruin and generator progression as a whole
Some questions below will focus on Ruin, base generator times, toolboxes, and anything related to these as well.
- [Question] (What was the thought process behind the Ruin change?) [Answer] (It was mostly to help with the new players that were coming into the game, observing the veteran players showed that it didn't really have an affect on them that much since they would go right through it. There were many possibilities for the change and we tried many things that ended up being too OP, so we found a middle ground through the suggestions we had and we're fairly confident in where it should be at the moment.)
- [Question] (Will other slow down perks see a change as well?) [Answer] (Having a lot of slow down perks could make the game end up feeling a bit stale, for example, if you had someone run Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Thanatophobia... than you'd have a hard time getting any progress done as a result.)
- [Question] (Have you considered making Ruin a non-hex perk?) [Answer] (We considered it... and it didn't seem right, if it stayed a hex perk than we could keep its "power level" up, if we made it not a hex perk than we would have to change the percentages to reflect this change.)
- [Question] (Have you thought about keeping the "no great skill check progress" part of Ruin?) [Answer] (That's a good suggest, so if we find out that the current Ruin isn't living up to the amount of power that we think it should have than that's something we're considering to add in the future.)
- [Question] (Are you looking into changing the base generator repair time?) [Answer] (We're looking at some possible changes to toolboxes and the repair bonuses you get out of those, but we have nothing set in stone on those yet. As for the base generator time it's probably not going to increase because asking Survivors to sit for say... 120 seconds if their unmodified is a bit much.)
- [Question] (Will toolboxes be changed in the near future?) [Answer] (Yes we're looking at some fundamental changes to how toolboxes work and their values, we don't have anything set in stone as of right now though, it's something we're currently working on right now and we can't really talk about details at this time.)
- [Question] (Are there any plans to adjust Survivor generator perks accordingly) [Answer] (These are... not really used that much a whole lot despite being used on free characters. So, we don't really consider them to be a problem, so at the moment those will probably be staying the way they're.)
- [Question] (Are there plans for a secondary objective?) [Answer] (In the short term it's unlikely that you'll see a brand new secondary objective pop up, which probably is more likely is more focus on existing side objectives like the totem system for example. Since at the moment the totem system is in the spotlight due to the Ruin change.)
- [Question] (Are you looking to improve some of the weaker perks?) [Answer] (We do plan on looking into some low usage perks and we do actually have a list to give you. So here are some perks that we plan to hit soon due to their low usage, Small Game, Cruel Limits, Any Means necessary, Slippery Meat, Vigil, This is Not Happening, and Technician.)
- [Question] (Will commonly used Survivor perks receive the same treatment?) [Answer] (Some of these Survivor perks while they're quite common were not used nearly as much as Ruin or Self-Care. Decisive Strike already got a serious cut back, so we're not that worried about it's power at the moment. If you consider Borrowed Time and Adrenaline they don't nearly stick out as much in terms of usage as Ruin did, If you consider Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, and Adrenaline, Lithe is actually used more than all three of those, so we're not too worried about these perks at the moment.)
- [Question] (Will there be other generator slow down perks in the future?) [Answer] (It's not impossible that we'll make more of these, however we would have to be very careful about how they interact with others, we don't want sets of four perks that're slow down to be meta anymore, for example, new ruin does not have good synergy with PGTW as it locks out the damage generator action. Only one provides value at a time. Going forward we might find other interesting ways for generator slow down perks, but we don't want these easy perks that synergize for strong slow down builds.)
and end note for this summary
Again, I only wanted to focus on the Ruin changes since they're the most important ones from these stream (I guess), I had to go back into the stream and gather a lot of them word for word for you and after that there was a lot more to cover on The Doctor, Tome ll, and other such things that were Misc.
@Fibijean does actually compile a list of everything that is said in recent streams... so you don't have too! So, if you want to know more than feel free to go back into the stream and check for yourself, but if you want to wait for Fibijeans write up than expect it to show up in the General Discussions sub-forum as always.
Hope this helps, despite it not covering E V E R Y T H I N G and other note worthy questions that I missed, I couldn't write up everything in such a short time, mainly because I don't really want to go back and write everything word for word... sorry.
Maybe another time, since it's late where I am.

I was wondering what that Cross-Play option was, in settings, if there was no cross-play with consoles. So it's cross-play between Windows 10 and Steam? I didn't know those were separate things.
They're indeed separate things yes, trust me, I was surprised a Windows 10 version existed as well... I didn't know it existed until the Cross-Play was announced.
-
As Tragic said, they can be put off to the side and can be done at a later time when you unlock these characters. That's why the Killers and Survivors that were chosen can be bought with in-game currency, making it not a "money grab" since you can just normally play and than get the currency to purchase these Survivors/Killers once you have enough.
You can skip them too, they're not blocking the completion of the level, they're only blocking the 100% completion of that level for Tome ll. And again, these challenges are optional and used as a means to mix things up in-game, they're designed to get you out of your comfort zone for just a moment to see if you like the change or not. That, and they're just another objective you can do to have more to do in a sense.

Its not that i have a problem with it i love the new add on to the whole game it stops it from getting stale and boring when ur challenged to complete the tomb i was asking the question of how do people feel about the grind of the rift. I as a survivor main and do not play killer at all is due to personal reasons and the amount of stress and anxiety it causes me when playing the killer side. I have tried so many times to do play killer but my mind set at the moment wont allow it, so im stuck with survivor what i began with and felt that i was able to play that role. I was just asking basically if anyone was having the same problems as iam going about there everyday life and trying there best to complete the rift. Ok so lets rephrase my question how are people managing to complete the rift? How many hours a day would it take for everyone else to finish the rift by the 70th day. This is what the question should of been and if they play both sides or just one side.
Personally the grind is welcomed, more grind = more longevity to me. More objectives is also a good thing to me personally and a lot of other people seem to agree.
The point though is that the "grind" depends on how much you want to undertake in one go, if you have limited time like you said than you'll naturally do the challenges at a slower pace, tbh, most of the challenges from level 1 are not that demanding either, the ending ones might be the some of them are quite easy and can be done by just normally playing.
I personally see no issue with this, but you may beg to differ.

Not really the point I was making. I was pointing out that there IS a discount option in-game if nowhere else.
Oh, than yeah it's an option.

@Fibijean said:
We're not expected to play 1400 games to complete the Rift. The Rift and Tome are designed as a set, with the intention that you should be able to complete the Rift by completing the Tome. If you're so opposed to playing a bit of the other role that you would rather grind for dozens of hours, that's your decision, but it's not how the system was designed. In other words, if you have problems with the design of the Tome then that's fair enough, but outside of the Tome, the Rift is only as grindy as you make it.
Exactly, that's why we have 70 days to do it, it really, really, really, depends on how much someone wants to undertake in one sitting or in one play-through.

I agree with you about the upcoming months. After the last survey which asked about the desire for Cross Save/Play. They quickly implemented the Windows to Steam cross play. I feel those Surveys are more about determining the community's overall interest in such thing's then the overall if they want to or not. I feel they probably have had it in the work's similar to how the rift was asked about, but still thrown out despite the mass majority seemingly uninterested.
Either way we will see what happens. was fun chatting as always.
PS. would love to one day see the stat's of the first RIFT and each tome.
Right, maybe we'll see it come up again in another survey.
It was nice chatting with you as well, come back anytime if you have any questions or conversations to add.

That's true so I'll just end it with this statement
I thought I heard someone mention that the Devs had decided to no longer do any future events.
I'm included to believe that from how the rift had been going.
On topic Pig had event chase music?
Yes, this was said in this post that i'll link below.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103996/developer-update-november-2019#latest
Here's the quote from that post:
"Recently, we’ve changed the way we handle in-game events and wanted to take a moment to explain why we’re putting elaborate objectives on hold. Unique event objectives take a huge amount of time to create and test, taking up time that could be spent fixing bugs and creating new content that’s available year-round. Going forward, events will be focused around extra Bloodpoints (through Offerings and/or Blood Hunts), Archive challenges, and event-exclusive rewards within the free track of The Rift. This allows us to focus our efforts on game health, which we ultimately feel is for the best."
Here's the thing though...
Things can always change, this has happened in the past with some things they've done and so on, so we might see it come back in the future despite it being highly unlikely.
This new event concept is also still fairly new, only the Withering Blight and Lunar Event have seen this integration thus far, we have no idea what might happen in the future or what we might see for future events, even the Christmas Event didn't happen because of this change...
Also, they never really said that this will always be the case now, except not in this post anyways (I don't know for others), so things might change... but they might not, who knows.
I'll end it off with that though, lets leave that discussion for another time it's mentioned.
anyways, back on topic
No, not specifically for The Pig themselves, it was just a special track that played during the events time in the main menu, they'd just like to see it be used on The Pig instead of being retired all together.
Here's the youtube video that plays said music, it would actually fit with The Pig... kinda:

A lot of benefits for both sides. Im sure BHVR has it on the radar if not already in progress. Realistically though they are not the best at release dates and coding so it could be some time before either of these are implemented. I think of any the cross save/progression might be the easiest because they already have player cloud ID's which since all player data is uploaded on the cloud for various reasons it should be possible to use the ID to port it to another device similar to a CnP format.
That's kind of why it's indeed an option, its not impossible since we have Cloud IDs like you said in the back-logs, so we should see something about it in the coming months.
Again, all we can do is speculate, we'll see what happens.

@WordyWithBirdy said:
See i dont see much of a problem with the tome. Its the rift and the 70 levels which i find a grind. It kinda make me a bit mad as ive asked fog whispers what they thought of the grind of the rift which there reply was its not bad at all its easy. They would say that as its there job to play that game for 6 to 7 hours a day. For people who dont have that time which i would say alot of people due to life commitments its a pain in the neck. Yer i do understand where your coming from tho, to me it seems like all the have done is made the main grind less grindy and added in something to make u grind just as much to get your moneys worth
What i'm talking about is a secondary objective for Killers and Survivors a like, not an in-game one but one that focuses on the rewarding aspects of the game.
So, by adding The Archives they gave Killers and Survivors more objectives (I.E. Challenges) to complete, giving the game more longevity and rewarding you for doing said challenges. I understand that it can be a grind for someone who doesn't play 3 hours+ a day or someone who can't play everyday, but that's why we're given 70 days to complete it... you have time, it's not really that big of a deal if you do it at a slower pace or don't start for a week or two.
"The Grind" really just depends on how much you're willing to do in one sitting. There is only so many challenges you can do in one level, so it's not like you're being asked to do 50 challenges in one level each time, it's more like 13 ,12, 11, or something like that.
-
@Liruliniel said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1025763#Comment_1025763
i honestly care more for the cross save then cross play. doing that will actually supply the dev's with more money then cross play would. I know dozens of people who would jump from PC to Console or Console to PC if they would not lose everything. All that it would require is the purchase of the base game and dlc again. Unless you purchased the dlc with auric cells.
Yes, that's the main reason why a lot of people want Cross-Progression, the other reason people want Cross-Play is to boost the player-base altogether and mix up the match-making a bit, while also playing with console friends and what not.
That's why BHVR keeps it in mind, but as said, we don't know how that concept is going.
-
That's another discussion.
I do too yeah, but we'll just have to see what happens in the future for events. This is something new so, we'll see if it sticks or if they expand on it some more.
-

Thank you for the responses, I was just curious because one thing I really want would be for xbox and ps4 to at least have crossplay. I know one of the biggest debates with dbd and crossplay is crossplay between console and PC. Honestly, I would be happy with just xbox / ps4 crossplay, if it would make things easier. The waiting times are crazy for survivors.
I understand, it's indeed something that the community strongly wants as well, so i'm sure we'll hear more about it in the coming months.
At the moment though, we don't know the status on this, so it's entirely up for debate at the moment.
-
I've heard this happen to some people in the past and a bit recently as well. This bug usually emits a loud ear piercing screech, but I don't know what it's from personally.
The best course of action you could take is bringing this up to the Support team, maybe even capture some of the audio if they ask for it (like imply that you have audio for them to see if its from an old bug).
The Devs have also said that the audio for Killer and sometimes Survivor is also bugged a bit, so they're aware of that issue.
Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
Bring it up with them and see if they have any more information on it for you, maybe even a fix perhaps? No promises, but it's your best option for an issue like this.

dang i really miss that event music. thanks for answering
No problem! And yeah it would be cool to see it come back.
-
The Scorching Summer BBQ was a limited time event that hasn't been brought back since 2018. Adding it to The Pigs music wouldn't really fit with the character outside of an event setting...
I doubt the event music will ever make a come-back, but if it does it would be used for the event and only the event i'm afraid. Sorry.
It'd be cool if it did come back, I do like some of the event music that plays from time to time.
-
The Tomes can definitely be a grind from time to time yes... but that's why they give you 70 days to complete it.
Each new level of a Tome is unlocked as The Rift progresses with that Tome, I understand it can be a grind, but that's kind of what this game is when you boil it down to its core. We grind for BPs to level up our characters and than grind more BPs to max out said character or move on to another one.
The Challenges give you a side option to this grind and mixes things up, it might seem excessive but it's indeed a secondary option with enough time to do. Even if you started 40 days in (maybe in 30...) you could still get these challenges done if you do it in one sitting, if you start on 30 days with only say, a day or two to play the game than yes it can be a bit of a hassle.
But that's why they give so much time, it gives you the option to take a break from the game for a week or two and still come back to finish level 2, 3, and 4.
-

there was a post on reddit where someone on ps4 played against a legacy hillbilly, which is impossible since no one has legacy on ps4, the killer replied to the post saying that they were playing on pc and sent their pov, however they were confirmed to be hacking, nonetheless i guess crossplay is secretly in the game but not active or something i'm really not sure
That's still not anything official, it might of been possible but not from a legitimate stand-point. Hacked or leaked information should be taken with a grain of salt, it did happen yes but it doesn't mean anything is set in stone and who knows how unstable it is.

I believe the idea has been thrown around a few times but never actually confirmed.
I don't believe it is something that the developers are currently working on implementing though.
If I'm wrong then please correct me.
You're indeed correct yes.
The idea of Cross-Play is currently on BHVRs mind yes, but we don't have any official responses on the topic yet. We do know that the concept is indeed on their minds, but it's unknown if something might change or when it will happen.
The same goes for Cross-Progression, we don't know yet. Also for context, the Xbox Game Pass is not a gateway to play with Steam players, a lot of people think it is but it isn't, there is no cross-play with console at this time. The only cross-play we have right now is between Steam and the Windows 10 version of DBD, that's it.

Thank you though, the game does not provide a lot of information, I keep having to google what each emblem is for too.
Most of the information you need has to be found yourself, or you can ask on this sub-forum for said information.
Usually if you go to the DBD Wiki it also has most of the answers you're looking for, but some of the obscure ones need a 2nd guess of course.

yeah it's always frustrating to me that, after I've skipped a certain perk in the bloodweb because I have no use for it - it'll immediately show up in the next level. Like... listen.... eff off with No Mither and just give me Self-Care III already! hehe but I also see why that happens, I think it's a way to encourage continuous leveling and keep people from hoarding BP (which ima do anyway... yall can't stop me!! )
Sometimes it could translate to good RNG when a good perk comes up twice or three times like BBQ... and than in your case it can translate to bad RNG where a less desirable perk keeps showing up.

Separate note, if you had to choose between iron grasp and Hex Ruin, what would you pick.
That sounds unlucky, but not insanely unlucky.
Also, i'd pick Ruin because it can be an insanely good tracking perk when combined with Surveillance.

Your best option is to go to the support team about this and follow their instructions on how to fix it, they'll give you the best answer to this issue since they constantly get support tickets about issues like this.
Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
File it as a bug or other, than follow the instructions once they come up on what to fill in on the ticket.
and update to this issue
It's a known issue at the moment that BHVR is aware of, this was said just now in the 3.5.0 Dev Stream, so this issue is known and please go to the support team about it to see if they have anymore information on it.

That question is hard to answer, as you gain perks while you level up to level 50, so the total amount you can get at level 50 depends on how many you got previously.
Also, it depends on how many Survivors teachables you unlocked, if you're going off of a random amount of Survivors you unlocked than nobody has the answer for you... unless you find it yourself.
Also, the total depends on which side you play, Killer or Survivor, so that's also an issue in how I can answer this for you. There is a total of 74 perks for Survivor and 66 perks for Killer, most of these perks are from DLC characters.
14 Survivor perks can be unlocked by every Survivor WITHOUT having to learn them as a teachable perk from another Survivor, while 12 Killer perks can be unlocked by every Killer WITHOUT having to learn them as a teachable perk from another Killer.
basically... this is probably what you're looking for
The question you're asking is vague, but this is the answer I can give for what's being asked. You can unlock a total of 74 Survivor perks IF all of the DLC is bought and all of the Survivors teachables are unlocked for every Survivor.
If you're asking about the Killer side, than 66 is the max perks you can get from all the DLC with every teachable unlocked.
Since each perk needs to be unlocked 3 times, we'll do some simple math to show you how many times you'll have to unlock each perk multiplied by 3 (since you need to unlock it 3 times to completely unlock the perk at it's max tier)
This would come out to 222 Survivor perks if you unlocked them all 3 times each and 198 Killer perks if you unlocked them all 3 times each.
If you're just talking about the already base-kit perks, than this would be instead 42 Survivor perks (since you're x it by 3 because you have to unlock each one 3 times) and 36 Killer perks, the normal numbers for the base-kit perks is 14 Survivor perks and 12 Killer perks for context.
conclusion
Hope this answers your question! If not, i'll link the source for all the perks down below so you can find the answer.
Here's the link to the DBD Wiki:
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Perks
note
The DBD is not a official source, it's a hub of information that has been collected by several volunteers that task themselves to find said information. Since this specific part of the Wiki is fairly polished, i'd say it's accurate with it's information.
If you think otherwise, than you can find out how many perks there are by going into each lobby (Killer and Survivor) and manually counting them up yourself.

Licensing issues for the most part, the same thing happened to LeatherFace when The Switch version came out, but after some time he was added in eventually.
It's speculated that Freddy will be added in as well when things get sorted out, but licensing issues is the biggest theory behind this. Usually when a Killer or Survivor isn't in a specific version the first thing to come to mind is the license not allowing it.
This was the case for Bill on the console version for awhile, but after a long time he was added into the console version 2 years later.

The devs won't even acknowledge there's a problem. So I don't think we'll be seeing any meaningful changes in the near future.
They are utterly clueless when it comes to balance.
I don't know personally what will happen, but I get a feeling that the Ruin change won't be forgotten for awhile.
Like I always say, we'll see what happens!

Thank you all for your answers. I did the quest by picking up chest item, but I thought I completed it before by picking up survivor's item. I don't know, it's weird.

Well, yes, I brought flashlight, but I picked up key, so two different items, game shouldn't see that as same.
Sounds like a bug yeah if that's the case it's unfortunate, but not that big of a deal.
Glad we could help out, if you have any other questions about random issues than don't be afraid to bring them up in this sub-forum.

Does that mean it's usually better to grab the level one perks as they come up?
From someone who's P3-50'ed most his Killers (me), I personally think it's a good idea to just get those bad perks out of the way, or grab anything in-general as you progress.
It gets them out of the way in the long run, and they'll eventually reach max Tier and stop showing up, so that's what I do for the most part when i'm leveling up prestige by prestige.

It should actually work if you collected someone else's item, whether they were dead or just gave it to you. I've done this ritual dozens of times and it's always worked for me with other survivors' items.
Did you go into that match with an item yourself? Because that could have something to do with it - for example, if you brought in a brown medkit and left with someone else's brown medkit, it might not register it as a new item.
I've done that before and left with a different item, the item still counted in the end.
I suppose it was just a bug, something that happens on a rare basis but still can from time to time. I'll leave the link for them at the bottom of this comment if they want to report it, otherwise it just seems like one of those random cases.
Here's the link @Nomadd if you need it of course:

It's RNG based for the most part, but some perks do show up more often than others because of their common rarity.
Some perks also show up more than others if you leveled them up in a previous Blood-Web level, but that's about where it ends for the most part. RNG plays a big role in the Blood-Web and while people will argue that rarer perks are naturally more rare to find on a Blood-Web, i'd argue that you could get something like Ruin or DS in the first few Blood-Webs at level 1 (if they're unlocked), it really just depends on luck.

I think the part @NuclearBurrito took issue with was the bit at the end of your original answer where you said "the light will still show up when they're looking at you and vice versa", which is inaccurate because OoO only lights up when the survivor is looking at the killer, not the other way around. The whole Spine Chill/Premonition comparison threw it off the rails a bit, but I think the point they were trying to make originally was just that that particular part of your answer wasn't correct.
Yes, this was cleared up as we progressed with the conversation.
After he cleared it up it just made me change the argument and continue to claim that it's a reverse spine-chill, since the only thing different is who's activate the perk... since Spine-Chill activates when the Killer looks at you, and OoO when undetectable is active activates when the Survivor looks at the Killer.
I eventually agreed that I was wrong (in my own way), but I still don't agree that it's more comparable to Premonition than it is to Spine-Chill (but reversed), I disagree with that heavily, but like I said, opinions are opinions, not everyones opinions are the same and they'll clash but it's good to meet a middle ground with the old saying "agree to disagree".

Quite true. Which is why I specifically said both times that I think it's okay for it to be mentioned as long as it's made clear that it's not officially confirmed information. Which it has been, in this case. The only thing I was contesting was the idea that leaked information should never be brought up, ever, because I think context plays a part and in some cases it can be beneficial - provided, again, that the fact that it's unofficial and unconfirmed is made clear.
Well, opinions are opinions, everyone has one.
You think it's ok for context, and I don't because it spreads misinformation, we won't meet a middle ground but we can agree to disagree. It honestly depends if they even mentioned it was leaked information as well, which if they didn't (which the first comment didn't) than I have an issue with it, if they acknowledge that it's not an official source and that the OP should take it with a grain of salt THAN I don't see an issue with that, they're not directly linking them to 900 leaked sites so, no rules were broken.
Also, when they mentioned it at the start they never said it was something that was leaked, hence why I found an issue with it, because it wasn't mentioned that it was a leak until AFTER I replied to it. So, if I never replied to it than it would've been thought to be a real thing... so that's where I have an issue with this.
Everything is cleared up though, so I don't see why we need to continue discussing this. Asergioam is aware now to mention a source they got this from, but not directly link it for obvious reasons. They're always aware that they didn't do anything wrong, their intentions were good, everything is fine.
But, like I said as well, this wasn't brought up in the first comment, so I had issues with it being said.

@FireHazard That makes a little more sense. Thanks for clarifying.
I still think the devs are heavily survivor biased because if they weren't, they wouldn't have nerfed Ruin and instead do something about optimal survivors.
And I understand that, but I personally don't think they're always biased to one side, but that's of course where opinions clash.
Have they done questionable things before? Who hasn't. Is anyone perfect? No. But I know this, eventually we should see something about this in the near future, since Ruin was a big thing for Killers... so I have a feeling this isn't the last we'll hear about it, but that's just me.

The rules say we can't post leaked content, like links to leaked patch notes for example. It doesn't say we can't mention the fact that there's a rumour about something, and I don't think there's any harm in doing so as long as it's made clear that it is a rumour and not official information. Context is important. In this particular situation, knowing that there's a possibility that they might get to try the game out for free this weekend, even though that's not officially confirmed, could be helpful to the OP in resolving their dilemma - which, after all, is what this subforum is meant to be all about.
That's right, but again, if the information isn't official and can mislead people to things that're not true than it's our job to help clear that up right? (or at least we made it our job I guess)
Hence why I did, it might not of been rule breaking or anything but it would of led the OP to thinking it was true, which is unknown since it's leaked information. I already told Asergioam that they didn't do anything wrong, their intentions were good and it wasn't really going to get them in-trouble (since they didn't post the leak outright), but the information isn't official and could be misleading.
No rules were broken, nobody is at fault, but if the information is leaked information or wrong than I will correct it to let everyone know what's official or not OR at the very least give them the right information (if I can). We both do it to each other as well, the correct information is always the best information after all!

*Huntress Lullaby @FireHazard
Huntresses Lullaby only works when they're on the generator and fail skill-checks, Ruin doesn't really add anything to Huntresses Lullaby itself, but yes it does combo if you're wondering.

Yes Surge does work with Post-Ruin, I don't know what HL is, could you clarify please?

You're both right, and have entered a circular argument.
Yes, Premonition does give you an auditory queue, and it is based on when you look at the killer. OoO doesn't but it does tell you. The trade-off here is that you have a cooldown at the cost of not revealing yourself.
It works the same way as Spine Chill with the flashing of the perk. It's based on one target looking at the other. The literal only difference is WHO activates the perk.
I guess it just depends how you look at it.

Premonition tells you when you are looking at the Killer
Spine Chill tells you when the Killer is looking at you
OoO against undetectable tells you when you are looking at the Killer.
Guess which of the first 2 perks is the better comparison.
Premonition gives an audio cue with a set cool-down afterwards
Spine-Chill tells you when the Killer is looking at you, in this case it's reversed, hence why I said "a reverse spine-chill"
OoO against undetectable tells you when you're looking at the Killer yes, it does so by flashing the perks color on and off, its the opposite of how Spine-Chill actually works, but in this case it's a reverse of who activates it, Premonition gives an audio cue and that's it.....
We're not going to agree on this Nuclear, sorry.
