Sorry about the double notifications by the way...

No, I don't think this is intentional.
It was never a thing before so, either it was an intentional implementation or a bug, i'll look a bit more into the patch notes to confirm.

a small summary of the doctor (reworked)
The Doctor has the ability to put people into the madness stage, each stage is defined by the "brain" icon in the bottom right hand corner. If the tally goes from no tally to l than it means you're in madness tier l, if it goes from l to ll, than you're in madness tier ll! So on and so forth until you hit tier lll madness, which is when you'll be given the "Snap out" option.
In Tier lll madness you can't work on generators, sabo hooks, or heal others or yourself, the only thing you can do is get chased and dropped pallets... otherwise you'll spend your time holding down M1 and hitting the "crazy skill-checks" to get out of Tier lll madness and go back into Tier ll madness
The doctors new powers
The Doctor can passively apply madness to Survivors by activating his "Shock Therapy" ability, which shocks a Survivor and heavily applies madness to them, his other power is "Static Blast" which applies an AOE effect that makes any Survivors in his Terror Radius scream and reveal their location, but this has a 60 second cool-down.
Static Blast has a 60 second cool-down between uses and Shock Therapy has a 2.5 second cool-down between each use.
the music you heard
This is The Doctors new chase music that plays when you're being chased by... The Doctor. It was given to him as of the 3.5.0 patch, so that's the new music you heard, before he had the basic music.

Yes, I know, mos of the time they are correct, including the information about the new tome only arriving tomorrow (that one I know I sawe there).
The one about free weekend really don't remember were, since it was information that didn't affect me, but might have been there also. Worst case scenario, if this weekend the game isn't free, I'll give my opinion to the user and it stays here already:
I mostly play solo, I enjoy it a lot and don't really remember getting mad about a bug. Even caught the nasty basement bug once and it didn't bothered me that much... just moved on to another game. But if you can't play it for free, the best advice is to keep watching streams. I advice puppers and vinc3ntVega. The former is very chilled and enjoys the game as it is without constantly complainting about everything and the later is a hell of an entertainer that plays both sides a lot. Both enjoy the game at their own way but don't spend their stream complaining at behaviour decisions... they just try to adapt.
But there is nothing like hands on so, if you can't afford to risk spending money on a game you might not enjoy, I advise you to wait to a free weekend. Even if you need to wait a few months for one to happen, it is worth it if you don't want to risk it.
Still, I wouldn't give out leaked information since... it could actually get you in-trouble on the forums.
So, that's another thing. Either way, I wouldn't do it in the future if I were you but you can do as you please of course... until you can't (if it's against the rules).
But we'll see what happens, who knows.

Sorry, it might have been on the leaks... I'm constantly checking several sources so I'm not sure were I saw it.
Yeah... I wouldn't use leaks as a 100% official source, since than it spreads mis-information like that, even though I know it wasn't intentional on your part.
You can believe what you want to of course, but it's usually best to keep leaks to yourself, since dates always change and leaks are just that... leaks... it's not official information.

I know, we are gonna requeue anyway, but at least it may make killers reconsider dodging the next time :/
I doubt something like that would be implemented unless it becomes a massive problem for every version in-general, but we'll see.

I know people that DC certain killers, but that's not really the issue. The PLAYER is the issue because there are some real ######### heads on Xbox.
I personally think the game itself should just show you the name of the person you are playing. If it's someone you don't want to play with your shouldn't have to play against them. IDC what the reason is, some people are just toxic and spiteful. If you find yourself getting dodge a lot as killer maybe consider the idea you are an #########. It's not like this game has a competitive ELO system like Overwatch where dodging would screw rankings.
Also survivors dodge other survivors, and bad pings. There are reasons to leave the lobby as survivor.
Yes but than this would cause even more issues in-game than there already is, more dodging will have certain players looking for "the right players to play with" and than in a sense other players with a history of DCing will DC if the match is "not going their way."
So, more dodging with the DCing issue is just another problem that needs to be fixed again and again. Since dodging is fairly common now-a-days, I wouldn't be surprised if this is an already rampant issue in-game.
I personally never experience it as a Killer because I go afk while readying up, so I play against any team and don't care. As a Survivor, I rarely come across it as well, and I play Claudette which is usually a Survivor a lot of Killers will dodge against.
Either way, dodging specific players that you don't like will just cause more issues, sometimes you gotta face against people you hate, that's life!

When red rank survivors on xbox already have 10 mins queue, I wish it was, or at least make the timer to find a new lobby longer for dodgers :/
Depends on the time of day for queue times or how big the xbox one player-base is at the moment.
At any rate, if they did implement that for xbox than they would have to do it for every version, plus you were still dodged so it doesn't change the fact that you have to re-queue i'm afraid.

Generator regression and kicking a gen is not the same. Kicking a generator starts the regression, but Ruin does not kick gens. That is why "intentionally" Ruin does not work with Overcharge. You actually say the same as me, right after you say kicking and regression "is the same".
Basically we talk about the same, but to understand the mechanics WHY something applies and something else not, it is important that kicking is not the same as regression.
It's the same in terms of kicking a generator blocks that generator from any effects afterwards, normal or automatic.
And yes, it's intentionally designed that way to avoid what I said above. I agree that it's not the same in a traditional sense where PGTW and Overcharge work with kicking a generator normally, but I disagree that they're not fundamentally THE SAME in terms of how a generator acts after a kick.
Agree to disagree, that's what i'll end this on.

@thesuicidefox said:

On Xbox you can see who the killer is in the lobby by checking "recent players". Sometimes it will appear right when you enter the lobby other times you have to wait about 20 seconds for it to refresh.
Survivors on Xbox will dodge killers they don't like. I have a list of about 4 killers I dodge because they will mori spam me. There is also a group of players on Xbox that have a (private) collective hit list where they target specific survivors with face camps or mori spams.
I meant the Killers, like the literal Killer they're playing, not the player themselves.
I'm aware of that too on xbox surprisingly, if there's someone that a player or players does not like, than they can do that to actively avoid them all together. That's kind of a grey area on if that's ok or not, but I don't really want to open another conversation on that.
-
It depends on how much you can personally tolerate.
In all honesty, there are some bugs that can happen from time to time, but they're not as annoying as one would believe.
The worst you'll encounter at the moment is some minor things like the 3 man lobby bug as a Survivor (which is rare now) and other suck things like some crashes here or there depending on your PC and how long you've played in one sitting.
But if you really like the game and can tolerate some minor things like that than I don't see why it would be a bad idea to buy it. It really depends on how much you enjoy what you've seen and your willingness to put yourself out there to improve and get better in the game. You might come across some match-making issues like the "rainbow ranks" issue that sometimes pins you up against higher leveled players as a low rank, but that's about it.
If you're starting out though, expect the queue times to be long from the beginning of the ranks. Grey ranks or rank 20 to Yellow ranks which is around 13-? is notorious with long queue times. This is probably the main thing that could annoy you, but once you get up in the ranks it'll be a lot better in terms of wait times per-lobby.

It is not the same. If it was, it would apply Overcharge for example. But it doesnt. Surge also does not, as it is an explosion, like on a failed skillcheck. There are no perks that simulate a kick so far. Regression is what happens after the kick
It's the same, kicking a generator normally applies the damaged effect, so does new ruin (except it's better than normal but worse than PGTW). They intentionally made it not work with PGTW and Overcharge to not make it UBER Tier...
If you had a perk that could apply multiple Overcharges and random PGTW effects on certain generators that a Survivor gets off of when they see the Killer in sight, than that'd be broken.
I can agree that it's not the same when it comes to normal kicks working with PGTW and Overcharge, but it still works like a kicked generator... where it doesn't let you kick it again while it's being damaged. It was intentionally designed this way to avoid such a strong combo being made, imagine Surveillance, PGTW, Overcharge, and new Ruin working together... that'd be an insane tracking perk with super strong bonus effects being applied.
-
@Lucama said:

Worse than a kick with a perk for it, better than a baseline kick, but with how bad baseline kick is it's really not saying much.
Ah! But that's why combos exists for such things.
Add Surveillance and you'll have a better tracking perk than BBQ & Chili! While yes PGTW is pretty good on its own, Ruin can still be useful own its own as well, as any perk is.
That's why we combo perks together to gain additional benefits and even transform said perks into another sub-genre of perks, so instead of Ruin just being a generator damaging perk or "Anti-Gen perk" it's now an advanced tracking perk with the added benefit of damaging generators AND more awareness of what generators are being worked on.
Add Discordance on that and you'll know if anyone is doing a cheeky gen completion, if Ruin is broken than Surveillance and Discordance are still useful, it's just that the combo isn't there anymore unfortunately.
But that's the risks we take with a Hex perk...

That's what i was talking about if your ping to the server is high you can look for a new lobby to refresh and hopefully get a closer server
Well just saying "ping" doesn't mean i'll automatically know what you mean lol.
But yeah, that too.
-
@Deadeye said:
Work against. Ruin and Surveillance are regression based, they work together. But kick based perks like Pop, and Overcharge don't work. Surge only works while someone is working on the gen. So Ruin blocks pretty much everything else.
But the combo with surveillance is pretty strong, because you get instant information all the time as soon as someone leaves a gen and when someone gets back
EDIT: to avoid confusion. @FireHazard said damage. This is not equal to the kick damage. It starts the regression, thats it. No Kick effects applied
It's the same thing as if you kicked it, the added bonus is that it gives a 200% bonus regression penalty because of Ruins new ability.
Hence why it's unkickable since it's basically the same if you were to kick it yourself... except worse.

@Fibijean said:
You mean the jumpscare noise? I believe it happens when the survivor gets grabbed, or when the killer comes out of Undetectable (such as if they've been using Insidious).
For the most part yeah, grabs, undetectable reveals, etc.
For some reason it doesn't work on Killers that suppress their Terror Radius to 0 or near 0 like Myers and GhostFace, it just activates a chase if you run away from them.
Even they lunge at you out of nowhere it doesn't make the "jumpscare noise" or anything like that, that noise is specific and only works with certain conditions like grabs, locker grabs, grabs mid-vault, and sometimes undetectable reveals but not always for some reason.
-
You only see your own ping with Dedicated Servers, at least on PC anyways.
-
No, Ruin will now automatically damage any generators that're immediately left by the Survivor, so if it was repaired before and the Survivor gets off than it'll be damaged for a 200% bonus regression penalty.
So no, you can't kick an already damaged generator since Ruin automatically damages every generator with progress on it (if the Survivor leaves said generator).
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:

I'm typically not a big champion to the concern of keyboard/mouse versus controller arguments. I find that typically I avoid most games where such a disparity would yield a difference that is all that great. In fact, even in games such as Sea of Thieves, I tend to argue "WTH does it matter, eh?" as often though there is a difference, it's not typically that big of an issue in less FPS driven games.
Even if SoT does have PvP within it.
But in this specific game of all the games that lie outside of FPS "aim and movement" complaints... this is one wherein I actually could see a major issue. In this case it's all because of the FOV and Camera trickery that makes the game what it is - I've noticed that even a mild difference in control equality makes a pretty significant difference in this title.
So that matter may be related, after all the Xbox community is notorious (experimentally speaking) for complaints against evil monstrous PC gamers and their soul sucking Illuminati's. So, although in many games I don't care much for that arguement - I could see it holding the devs back half a step in this case.
Though as far as I know - steam is indeed crossplay enforced with console (or will be working properly soon) so perhaps that has been overlooked as a motivation for the sluggish inclusion of this component. That is, Console/PC Windows platform crossplay.
I personally doubt it has anything to do with that and more so that the priorities they have for the game are currently elsewhere.
In my opinion, bug fixes, exploit fixes, optimization changes, balance, and general game-play updates are more important for DBD than cross-platform compatibility at the moment.
Which explains why the concept of Cross-Play not being a top priority inclusion at the moment, more important things need to be tended to at the moment.
Cross-Play is just a small concept at the moment, and while they're indeed interested... I doubt it'll be something that we'll see in the coming weeks, months maybe, weeks no.

That's fair, I was just commenting because the person said "it's the survivors fault for staying in your lobby" when some of the worst lag I've experienced was green ping
Understandable, that's why I think its misleading is all.
And since it's misleading in some cases I firmly believe it's unreliable as a result. But yes, I understand what you mean as I've also had similar cases from ping displaying as green and than in-game going to red, I can't see it being red but the lag helps with that conclusion.

Only the steam version has the end-game chat box, and maybe the Windows 10 version.
If you're playing through the Xbox Pass than you're not technically playing with Steam players, since the Xbox Pass does not connect you with steam players.

Sure, that's another way of putting it, but no, what I meant to say was what I said - moving the mouse turns the character's whole body (while moving, which was the situation OP was asking about), unless the player uses the A and D keys to counter it.
I suppose two different conflicting views just mean the same thing in this case.
I mean I understand what you mean now, but I word it a bit differently I guess.

Not saying that crossplay won't be added in the future (since the devs have confirmed they're exploring the possibility) but I wouldn't take the fact that there is room for it in the UI as confirmation of that. It's more likely that the devs just didn't remove the friends-related UI features when they ported the game from Steam to the Windows Store - it doesn't necessarily mean that they're intending to make use of those features on the latter platform.
Anything you purchase in-game on PC also won't transfer to your console, and vice-versa, for the time being, as cross-platform progression is not yet a feature in DBD.
Hopefully one day though, it seems to be a hot-topic at the moment among this sub-forum and the others as well.
Players really want it to happen, so I don't see why it wouldn't unless the game literally can't do it... but i'm sure if BHVR is interested than they'll find a way!
Still though, with all that being said it isn't a solid confirmation as you and I have said. So, we'll see what happens!
-
@Fibijean said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1015153#Comment_1015153
Moving the mouse will turn your whole body - on PC, you have to use A and D to counteract this. So if you move your mouse to the right but hold W+A, your character will look right but move forward and left, and vice-versa if you look left while holding W+D. If you look in a direction but only hold W, your character will automatically move forward in the direction they're looking.
So basically if at any point you want to look anywhere other than directly in front of you, you need to use a combination of mouse and keys to control your character. It's a good habit to practice, because even when you're not being chased, sometimes you might want to move in a particular direction while keeping an eye on the killer (as I'm sure you know from your experience on console) and you would use the keys to do that.
Did you mean that the mouse moves the camera, so you can turn the camera left or right or up and down depending on where your mouse is positioned?
@VaJaybles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1015108#Comment_1015108
Yeah just finished the tutorial so I could figure out controls. One question?
How TF do you look behind you while being chased lol I'm sure it's easy but everytime I moved my mouse while running my whole body turned. I feel stupid lmao
I was holding W for context
But essentially yeah, you move the mouse left or right to position the camera to where you want to look, than move your fingers from say... instead of W to move forward it's be S to continue to move forward while your camera is facing the opposite direction, than pres A and D to move left and right accordingly.
Fibijean has it right though, that's essentially how you position the camera while moving with WASD and holding shift to continue walking forward with the camera looking behind you.

On Xbox we can see your ping. Ill Dodge if ping is over 250. I get suspicious when I have green ping and mid Chase lag across map
Ping is unreliable tbh, especially the old ping that PC had where it says it's green in-game but spikes to Yellow and Red in-game.
Tbh, I never based how bad the connection was or how good it was off ping alone, but it's indeed the base-line.

Oh I'm a huge survivor main, I doubt I'll play killer. Just trying to prepare for whatever I can
Ah, well than it's not that different in terms of controls with PC for Survivor either.
Mouse moves the camera, M1 (left mouse) is held down to do generators, skill-checks are done by pressing the space bar (or whatever key you want it to be) when the needle is on the great or good skill-check spots, you move with WASD like Killer, except this movement has more momentum to it.
Anything else would be holding Shift to sprint or holding left Ctrl to crouch, you unhook Survivors with M1, etc, etc.
Think of it like this, whatever button your controller was associated to is set accordingly for mouse and keyboard, while 360ing is harder to do on PC... that's about the old difference that comes to mind in terms of controls.
I'd just go to the controls setting and read up on what buttons work with what you do in-game, but I believe I covered most of what you'll need to know, as the M1 is the equivalent to the same button you used to work on generators, same with the skill-check button being space on PC and Shift being the run button on PC while on controller I believe it just makes you automatically run with the joy-stick being held all the way at the end.
You'll be fine, nothing drastic for the Survivor side of controls as well, if anything the only thing you'll want to change is the mouse sensitivity a bit, otherwise that's about it...
-
There's honestly nothing you can do about that, since I play in Red Ranks (the highest rank at Rank 1 Killer) and still get DCs at a fairly common rate, or in this case you call them "Leavers".
The term for "leavers" is DCing or Disconnecting, where a Survivor or Killer will leave mid-match for a variety of reasons, some are reasonable like they have something important to take care of or what not, but most DCs are caused by rage-quitting or the match not going "their way" in a sense.
You can't really do anything about it, as it's a common thing that Killers and especially Survivors will do. Not everyone does this, but some Survivors and Killers have a reputation of DCing if the match isn't going their way in a sense.
Here's a list of some common DCs that some Survivors will do, some added Killer ones in there as well:
- [Survivor] Was found first or found within 30 seconds of the game
- [Survivor] Was downed first or downed within 30 seconds to a minute of the games beginning
- [Survivor] Got beat in a chase or "outplayed" as some would say
- [Survivor] Facing a specific Killer they hate, this can range from any Killer but the most common DCs for certain Killers are Spirit, Billy, Freddy, etc
- [Killer] Facing a Survive with friends
- [Killer] Multiple people DC'ed in-game, so the Killer doesn't want to play against a 2 v 1 or something
- [Killer] The match wasn't going their way and they're being a bad sport about it
- [Survivor] Their teammates are not "good enough" so they leave because of it
And there are some others too, but these are some examples.
BUT do not fret, there is a solution to this soon!
BHVR was recently testing out the new DCing penalty system, which works like this, if a Survivor or Killer DCs mid-match than they'll be given a set amount of time to wait until they can play again.
The more they DC in rapid succession, the more the timer goes up, eventually they'll be given a DC ban as a result of too many mid-match DCs. So, this won't be happening all the time in the future, so don't worry about it too much.
At the moment though, you'll just have to tough it out i'm afraid. I'm sorry that that's the best I can say about this, but that's really the best you can do until the new DC penalty system is fully implemented.
-
There isn't really much of a difference between PC and console, all that's different is the optimization and controls, that's about it.
It's a simple concept, move the camera with the mouse and press M1 for lunges (you hold it down or tap for a lunge attack or fast M1 attack), you move with WASD and hold Shift to sprint as a Survivor and Ctrl on the left side of the keyboard to crouch.
I use the basic settings, and I have 1.5k+ hours into DBD on Steam, so you don't need to do anything drastic. Some advice though, set the Q and E keys to move your camera left with Q and right with E, this will make it easier to move with Billies chain-saw Sprint or Oni's Demon dash for example.
Other than that, that's all you honestly need to know...

Do you really think you can get banned for having bad wifi? If you lag switch on purpose, then obviously I guess it is bannable.
It's not a bad question to ask, I used to think I would get in trouble for constantly crashing on my old Wifi.
I didn't think I would be banned, but I thought I would eventually hit a DC threshold for a ban or something, since it did get that bad at some points... but not all the time. Now though, I don't have these issues anymore with my new internet, as said above.

Which isn't that massive an issue since it's offered on Gamepass and I simply need download it on console to play along with pals. #sigh
This does force me to wonder if any cosmetics/maps/dlc I purchase on WIN10 will slide over to the console... something tells me they won't. Maybe I'll just stick to the steam client, meh.
Personally, i'd wait on buying DLC, cosmetics, etc, on the Windows 10 version of DBD until they announce a cross-platform update with console.
If they do one, since they're interested in doing it... but we don't know when or if they will do it. So, its up to you on deciding if it's worth buying cosmetics and or DLC on the Windows 10 version.

Then i'll go for the middle. 👍️
That's the best option yeah, if you go off of the top of the image than it would seem wrong in terms of how graphs work with points.
Good luck!

These links below are the closest I could find on the subject, the issue with this though is that the xbox friends list/xbox app isn't a gate-way to cross-platform play with xbox players as a Windows 10 user...
So even if you added them through this, which seems to be the only way from what I've found, you'd still only be able to play with those friends if they also owned the Windows 10 version...
So... if they don't, than you're out of luck!
Here's the links from the video and post online:

Hope this helps... I guess, since this does seem like the only option you have when it comes to the Windows 10 store.

they can see your ping while in a lobby. To be honest, I don’t if we are on dedicated servers or not on console.
Weird.

Yes, I think that's it, I believe the Devs used the "Image Dot" option of the Software they used, so the middle of the square should do it, unless they used Paint or PP to do the Graph, which I don't think so, hehehehe.
No I don't think so either.
Logically on a graph you'd go by dots or "points" on each graph to determine where they are on said graph, which also gives you the number it's associated with, that's how a graph works.
In the case of this graph, this seems to be the same thing, so the middle of the image would be the most logical place to determine what number it's associated with on said graph(s).
Plus, you can still use the images placement to determine who's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

I think the problem he had was because of the image more than the being able to read the chart, he had the issue as many others to know which part of the image square to see as the actual value for the variable.
Than he'd go off the top of the image, as the image is a bit too big to determine the exact variable he's looking for.
Either the top of the middle of the image should suffice, as a point on a graph is usually indicated by the middle of the point. That would make sense though, as a point is easier to determine the variable it's associated with than a square image.
So, in that sense, he'd go off of the middle of the image to determine said variable or the top of the image.

You read it like this
In a simplified version here, you read the chart by going off of who's the farthest right for the most popular and who's the farthest above the rest for the most Kill Rate.
Here's a more "advanced" explanation below.
how to read who the most popular Killer is (Red Ranks chart)
We'll go off of Red Ranks Spirit to just make things simple. So, the way you'd read is it viewing the bottom portion of where they're set on the chart, the farther to the right means the more that Killer is used.
Spirit is the farthest Killer to the right, so they're the most popular among Red Rank Killers. BUT! Their Kill Rate is slightly lower than Freddys, you can see this by where they're positioned in the charts top graph.
how to read who the "strongest" killer is (Red Ranks Chart)
So, if you're the highest on the graph, you're the "strongest Killer" or you have the most Kill Rate out of any in this sense. Spirit is just shy of being the "strongest" and most popular, which is why Freddy is listed as the strongest, since he has a slightly higher Kill Rate than her in Red Ranks and even in the general graph above.
how to read who the most popular killer is (all ranks chart)
We'll go over the "All Ranks" chart as well to help clear up any confusion, we'll use Trapper as a base for this explanation this time, and than we'll use Freddy again for the other portion of this chart.
So, as explained above, if the Killer is the farthest right on the chart than they're the most popular. Trapper is the farthest right, so he's the most popular or most used Killer among all the Killers when it comes to every rank, not just Red Ranks.
Why is that? Well, he's the first Killer on the roster of Killers when a noob gets the game, so naturally they'd choose him first to understand what it's like to be a Killer for the first time. It makes sense that he's the most chosen by a land slide when it comes to every rank, because since it's covering every rank... it's also covering Grey and Yellow. So, this means that since most noobs start off at Grey and than in Yellow for a bit, they'll pick Trapper a lot!
how to read who the "strongest" Killer is (All ranks chart)
I'll cut to the chase with this one, since Freddys picture is positioned the highest on the chart (NOT THE FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT), this means his Kill Rate is the highest of all the other Killers, which means he's also the "Strongest Killer" for All Ranks as well.
Spirit is slightly below his picture on this chart, meaning she has the 2nd highest Kill Rate. The Killer below her would be Hag, but Spirit is barely above her from how the pictures are positioned, meaning she's in 3rd for the highest Kill Rate and than Trapper is 4th since he's the 4th highest picture on that portion of the graph.
The same applies to the other portion, whoever is the farthest right is the most popular, than you go by who's the 2nd most to the right from where they're positioned on the chart, than so on and so forth.
please read, this portion is important
Your confusion stems from where they're on the list to figure out who's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or at least that's what i'm getting from this.
Simply put, read it like this. Trapper is on that base-line of "65" in the far left section of the chart and so is The Pig, but look where his picture is position on that base-line... it's slightly above The Pigs where the number 65 is on that chart.
What this means is, he has a higher Kill Rate than The Pig in All Ranks, not just Red Ranks, All Ranks. He's above Billy and GF SLIGHTLY as well, but not by much, but he's lower than The Hag, Freddy, and The Spirit. So, this means he's in 4th place for the "Strongest Killer" in All Ranks!
another Red Ranks chart example
If I used the Red Ranks chart as another example, you can see that Freddy is slightly above Billies picture, while Billies picture is slightly above Spirits, this means Freddy is 1st on the Kill Rate list for the Red Ranks chart and Billy is 2nd, while Spirit is 3rd.
Spirit however is the farthest Killer to the right on the bottom chart, which means she's the most popular, the most popular doesn't mean she has the highest Kill Rate, it just means she's the most used out of any other Killer, as for who's the 2nd most used, Billy is ahead of Freddy slightly to the right some more, and Freddy just barely makes it above Huntress to sit in 3rd place as the most used in the Red Ranks chart.
Basically, read it like this. If you want to know who the most popular is, than flip the charts with the numbers of the far left being flipped to the bottom, whoever is the highest picture at the top of that flipped chart is the most popular, than flip it back to normal and see who's the highest on the normal chart to determine the highest Kill Rate of any of those Killers.
Hopefully this makes sense.
conclusion (tl;dr)
For a very very simplified version here, just read it like this. Whoever is the highest on the chart has the most Kill Rate, if the picture is slightly above another, than that means its Kill Rate is higher than that other picture... but only slightly.
If the pictures are the farthest to the right, than they're the most popular Killer. Same concept with that, if a picture is slightly more to the right than another, than that Killer is used more than the other Killers picture that's slightly behind it.
Use this to determine your percentages, hopefully I helped or made it more confusion idk.

Happened to me as well quite some time ago, guess they're bugged and instead of fixing them they are directly removing them to solve the issue from its root.
No, that isn't why they're disabling them. While yes it was easier to disable them than fix them, it's more logical to disable them due to the concept of splinters being outdated by now in DBD.
this is mostly speculation with some common sense thrown in
They're planning to disable these offerings during the 3.5.0 patch. This was most likely decided due to many the many issues the splinters brought, one being that the offerings were buggy. The other reasons though were that they were just outdated or fairly useless to add into the pool.
This is backed up by the fact that no new splinters were released since The Pigs DLC and that the offerings were fairly useless at this point in DBDs time. Plus, the offerings would still show up if you bought a character but not their DLC, which would clutter the Blood-Web even more.
Some players would also just have mountains of splinters and than eventually buy the DLC... making it pointless to even have said splinters. So, common sense would be that they're kind of useless in that regard once you buy the DLC.
All in all, many reasons went behind the choice to disable them, just like how many reasons went behind disabling the lesser map offerings or the Moonrise offerings, they're outdated and honestly pointless to keep around anymore.

You won't be banned for this, for consoles where killer is host it's the survivor's fault for staying in your lobby after they saw your ping, and for dedicated servers it's hard for survivors and they're gonna get mad at you for it, but no, no bans man.
I think he's a PC player.
I wasn't aware that console players can see your ping, is this still in console even though they're on dedicated servers now (or were on them in a test).
