@Maelstrom10 Big maps are the best tbh, it spreads the boxes out far. And with Add-ons that increase the time to search said boxes and reduce the time with tampered timer can result in the usual "Game Over" to happen.

Bye.
Thanks for buying 8K+ Auric Cells before leaving, you're really showing BHVR your disapproval by dumping 80$ into the game.
they've stated SEVERAL times that they have to wait for dedicated servers, creating more forum posts isn't going to speed them up.
Actually, I have those Auric Cells because I won the screenshot contest during the Moonrise event. I got 1st place and Dev choice, which added up to 8250 Auric Cells. So your first point is invalid :)
Second, that isn't enough. You can't just say that dedicated servers is the complete answer. They literally made a comment on someones post saying they're trying to add a system WITH dedicated servers. (W I T H) meaning it wasn't even going to go with dedicated servers out right...
And even if it was, having us play an unplayable game till summer isn't the way to go by this...

Stop playing Legion.
Stop sweating the beginning of the round.
Play cat n mouse the way the Devs intended this game to be.
Yall want a squash match and y'all getting DCs instead. Lol
Who says hes playing Legion?

One day my son, one day...

Agreed, its pretty unnecessary because we know you injured yourself... We don't need music to amplify that.

Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all night.

@BACKSTABBER I think he means when you fast M1 while they simultaneously get off the gen, and when they do that it shows you grabbing them but you just end up hitting them instead.

People started DC'ing in direct response to Legion. Due to BHVR's survivor bias, their response was to nerf Legion instead of punishing DC's. Now that survivors know they can get killers nerfed by rage-quitting, they've begun to do this a lot more.
That's a bold statement, while I can agree that people DC'ed because they refused to like him and wanted him massively changed, I don't agree that THAT is why they nerfed him.
He was nerfed because the majority of the community disliked him, and the devs had no idea what they were doing with him in the first place. So to stop all the crying, they nerfed everything about him into the dirt so people would stop. And they did, they stopped for awhile.
But now, people are DCing more often, and I don't feel its because they think it will cause change in Killers they dislike. I think its the majority of the community (mostly newer players) realize that they can get away with this if they do it in "moderation" and its working too...
Sadly, I hope this gets fixed too or this game will just become unplayable from all the DCing, they stated in one of these posts that they're working on having a system coexist with dedicated servers but... We'll have to wait and see if it will work.

Both is the same for me, the only difference is to get a BBQ stack.
I will call it now, once DC punishments drop survivors will suicide on hook like they did during hollowed blight event. If the core isn't fixed, punishment can't force fun for players. Imo DC punishment will probably not help at all. Worst case we will just lose more players.
I'd prefer DCing being fixed over suicides on hooks tbh.
But you're right, both are an issue and I wouldn't be surprised if dying on the hook early becomes reportable when DCing is fixed.

Sadly just good ol DBDs match-making system

It gets easier at Red Rank tbh.
Too many potatoes that are in Red Ranks make it boring.

Well it doesn't work really when you think about it, cause you need to hook someone then Bloodwarden activates.
Or something like where I just left happens.
-
@MasonMyers69 Oh, you are THAT Freddy that I faced literally 1 minute ago.
That's why this post exists, you were making sure what you were doing isn't bannable LMAO.
Hey, its the Survivors faults for falling for that stuff.

An M1 killer is still an M1 killer, if hes pure M1 with no power expect to be looped till literal Daylight.

No, unless hes botting by swinging the air repeatably to farm.
Otherwise, no.

If it is too hard for you fix the sounds just remove chasing music.

I've come across several LF mains. You know because they have Prestige faces.
They are incredibly good at the game, but they apply pressure through nothing but pure game sense and being good hunting and chasing down survivors. They have mad props from me.
Most Leatherface players are easy to beat but the mains who are good at it are on a whole different level.
Now imagine if they play ANY other Killer that isn't inherently garbage...
You're in a sense done for then lmao.

I'm a legion main currently and was a freddy main since he released and playing him isn't as bad or frustrating as lestherface
Yeah, I can 100% agree that Leatherface is the worst killer.

Preparations toxic now? Whats next? Breathing?
-
@Blueberry said:
I honestly don't blame Leatherface players for just camping. He such a bad killer that he has no choice. If he plays normally he'll just get trashed.
You either ironically do a basement build with him, or get destroyed because of how bad he is to use normally.
I wasn't reduced to do a basement build when I P3-50'd him, but I kind of wonder if it would of been easier if I did...

We do exist, we just accept the fact that we have no power.
See @Ramxenoc445 what I mean?
I had to P3-50 Leatherface and I didn't understand how bad he was till I did, anyone like @Leatherbilly who puts more time than that into that Killer can tell you how much of a struggle he is on a daily basis.
I got so mad with the Killer while P3-50ing him that I had to get Bloodpoints from a different Killer because of how much of a Headache Leatherface was to play. Than I got a OK perk build and add-on combo with him and it somewhat worked out.
But still... Its PRETTY BAD...
-
Ghostface, my gamble on dedicated servers, and the many fixes that will be implemented as well.
Can't wait.
(Also the Pig and Tapp cosmetics, I can finally use my auric cells from that screenshot contest towards something...)
-
I'd be surprised anyone mains Leatherface.
I P3-50'd him a few weeks ago and getting any semblance of a 4k took some clever thinking to pull off. It was hard enough not having Enduring and Spirit Fury unlocked when I finished him, but I had to use some other perk combos like Ruin and huntress's lullaby just to make some map pressure (It sometimes made a lot of pressure or none at all, but it worked pretty well towards the end of his P3-50)
Anyone who mains Leatherface (Whoever that is) can tell you the same thing, he isn't easy to apply pressure with.

I know they did, I'm saying they shouldn't have.
I mori'd the Obsession with 3 gens left, game took about 4 minutes.
EDIT: Five gens took about 4 minutes in total but the final person hung on hook for a while; felt it'd be dishonest to include that. The game effectively ended in 4 minutes.
I'm not invested mentally when it comes to how the emblem system currently works now, but I feel like @Orion might know.
That or someone he knows, but from what I can gather I guess having fast games won't progress the games emblem system very much for either side.
That, and you mori'ed them which anyone can tell you won't progress anything in your emblem system specifically. The game wants you to kick gens, hook survivors, and etc etc. Simple things anyone can do, but if you take a faster route I guess the results are usually half baked.
-
They changed things like hanging around hooks too much can lower your emblem progress, or other such things.
How fast was this match btw?

I've never seen a toxic Dweard Dwight in my life. Are they all on Pc or something?
Basically.
On a serious note, I have no idea since I don't play either of the console versions. But on PC, I notice them usually wearing the hotdog hoodie.
-
@lasombra1979 They're just salty that everyone didn't have a terrible experience like they did.
The mentality makes no sense, but that's how some people think.

@legion_main said:
Naw all the maps are fine
@legion_main Play Huntress on Lampkin Lane, then come back with how that went, and if not Huntress, every killer struggles there except Trapper.
The same can apply to Survivors surviving on The Game, both these maps and many others like these need to be reworked, maps with infinite's just need them nerfed, not reworked.
But The Game, Badham Pre-School, and Lampkin Lane need to be changed ASAP.
-
@Poweas That isn't working with the killer, that's just you being nice. While that isn't what the Killers supposed to do, its entirely your choice.
If like @CallMeSpidey said where you were going after specific Survivors while following and keeping one other specific Survivor alive till the end than yeah. Otherwise no, what you did won't get you banned.
Also, I believe "working with the killer" only applies to Survivors but I could be wrong.
-
@FTSA said:
My only worry is that people will now decide to kill themselves on hook once a punishment for DCing gets added.
It may cause DC'ers to actually play for once because DCing is "outlawed"
Its either that, or they just die on hook. But I'd prefer that over people DCing from being picked up, going down first, being found first, being slugged, etc.
Its a better trade than you think.
-
@gantes said:
Just to make it clear, DCing killers suck too. I've had some killers recently disconnecting when Ruin gets destroyed early or when they lose too much time on one survivor. The problem isn't only with survivors.
Everyone should check themselves, not only survivors.
I just so happen to see survs thinking DCing is OK much more often than killers.
The reality is, nobody wants to take an L. So in their mind, DCing isn't losing.
In reality, it just makes you a bigger loser than if you stuck with your team till the end.
The same applies to Killer, if you DC because of Ruin being broken than that just shows you can't play without it. If you DC because you wasted too much time on one Survivor, that's your fault for being looped knowing full well that Survivor knows what their doing.
Etc, etc. To most people who DC, it isn't an L so that's why they do it. These players are not stupid either, they know not to do it too much to avoid the ban, so they do it in "moderation" and its pathetic honestly.
-
@gantes said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/496614#Comment_496614
I'm not sure everyone has realized this tbh. The amount of "We only disconnect because of OP killers" in these forums is concerning.
"OP Killers" literally had a post who DC'ed to Leatherface yesterday.
I don't think people can keep saying that under the guise that its OK to DC because of an "OP Killer" meanwhile, we have people that DC because they got downed first, found first, nobody came to rescue them, nobody was doing gens, etc. And use that same excuse to hide the actual fact they DC'ed.
-
Reminds me of when you had to fill the car up in the mall from Left 4 Dead 2.

I feel like its getting worse as every day passes.
I don't remember it being this bad 3 months ago, not sure why its getting worse by the day.

Unpopular is right, so having a full team of say... gen rushing toolbox users shouldn't have some sort of preparation with it?
The reason Survivors don't see the Killer is because a lot of them have weaknesses that can be fatal to their powers, builds, or overall game-play. Having Survivors know what the killer is will throw all of that out of balance, and matches will be much less fun for Killer and eventually Survivors as well.

Thats what game devs do now they give you something crap, you complain about it as you should, they introduce something worse and make you appriciate the less crap thing even though that shouldn't be there either. It's pretty scummy, idk if dbd will do that but alot of companies seem to like doing that now.
@TKTK Pretty much all gaming company's do this, as long as there are people who will spend money on this stuff ANYONE will do it...
-
Survivors like bullying lower ranked Killers to assert their dominance. Nothing says "I'm really good at Survivor" than being toxic towards an up coming new killer to the game right?
I guess Rank 1 Survivors love EZ wins, that or they keep getting destroyed at Red Ranks by Billy and Nurses and want to neck themselves, either or.
-
I don't think dying to the killer willingly means they're "working with the killer" the concept of that makes no sense.
If they were asking the killer to go kill you while exposing your location and specifically want you to die while they live than YES that's working with the killer.

Actually, I really did match up with a team of Nea's. I honestly had a blast 'cause I had no idea who was who, unless I RBT'd them (yes, I was playing Pig). They played nice and fair... Thank God.
Oh, maybe their goal was to come off as toxic? I don't know...
