We are looking into this, will let you know when I know more.

    Thank you!

  • I am on Switch but the game hasn't given me the entity wide charm. I restarted the game a few times but I still do not have it. Does anyone know how you get the charm?

  • If you're on console, do any other users on your console have Pig unlocked? Maybe the progress they made is also showing up for you

  • Some people take the game too seriously, and when they lose they start to take it to the heart.

  • Or you could you know, heal

  • My favorite is probably the Demogorgon's menu music.

Can someone tell me what tinkerer used to do? Thanks :)

Add-ons that affect the charge time of your Power are 6/8/10 % more effective.

Hag in B tier, below memeslinger and apparently has less mobility than the leg!?

    megamind list

    name: Hag.is.Dtier

says hag is in b tier

    mm yes

  • Distressing isn't needed on Doctor. I'd recommend switching it for Whispers. Try to get it at tier 3, which is 32 metres so that you can have a less wide radius for it. 32 meters is also Doctor's terror radius, so it helps you use Static Blast at the right times. It's a good early and late game tracking perk.

Try to get BBQ as soon as you can.

The build I'd recommend once you can get the teachables:

BBQ, Pop, Save The Best for Last, and Whispers.

BBQ for bloodpoints and easier tracking, helps you waste less time.

Pop is great on a lot of Killers and helps you slow down gens.

Save The Best for Last is good on any killer that uses their M1 a lot. (for example: Trapper, Pig, Demogorgon, Hag). It helps you end chases slightly faster sometimes but there are a lot of times where it will help you chain a lot of hits. If Survivors start body blocking or hook bombing, you can shred through them super easily and get a few easy hits.

Whispers is so that you can use your Static Blast effectively all the time without wasting it. (Unless you're accidentally tracking a downed or hooked Survivor with Whispers). It's a good perk on Doctor for tracking and helping keep pressure.

  • They are account bound. If they buy it on their PS4 while on your account, it saves on the account, not the console. So you should get what they bought when you log in. I don't have a PS4 so I can't be certain on it.

Oops, I dropped my mid-chapter screenshot. Well shucks, so much for revealing it next week. Guess we'll have to reveal some other changes instead.

    Thank you Peanits, very cool!

  • Comic sans is the best font, change my mind

  • Probably because he's the first Killer. Usually he's picked by default for new players, so they decide to play Trapper. Also, if you want to get bloodpoints rn through bloodrush, play Killer. More bloodpoints.

Apologies for my ignorance, would the legacy costume be the shining light looking skins?

    Yes. For example:

    image.png

Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Trapper, Hillbilly, Wraith and Nurse all have legacy prestige outfits. It was a special reward for completing the much grindier bloodweb before Patch 1.3.0.

  • It's not "the only way to win". I do it if I really don't like one Survivor or if there are 1 or 2 gens left and I have to slow the game down. Usually I try to get each person on death hook before I kill anybody. Once I need to kill someone, I'll pick one and kill them off, and slowly keep killing. I don't kill them straight off the bat because it gives both me and the Survivor extra points if I let them stay for a bit longer.

When they removed pink and brown rarity perks, why didn't they just make all perks yellow-green-purple? It would be a lot less confusing that way

This is because of the level that you unlock the perks. For example:

    I'm All Ears goes yellow-yellow-green.

    Thrilling Tremors goes yellow-green-purple.

    Furtive Chase goes green-purple-purple.

It's actually supposed to be Ultra Rare for tier 3 of a level 40 teachable. That's why most characters have 2 purple perks and 1 green perk. It's supposed to be 1 pink, 1 purple and 1 green. The Shape breaks this rule by having all pink perks, because they all start as green. It doesn't reflect how good the perk is. (Iron Will and Balanced Landing are only green, but are still good perks).

I play on PS4 if any of my accounts have something and there set to primary would it do this?

I'm not sure since I don't have a PS4. However I do think this is the case. Try to see if any of your accounts have bought the DLC.

  • Did you buy The Nightmare On Elm Street DLC with Quentin and Freddy before? That might be why you have him. Or have you ever checked if he was there before? Daily rituals only show up for Killers and Survivors the player has. I don't think anything happened, try checking your purchase history and see if you ever bought it without knowing.

  • He would become my new main instantly

    the new matchmaking system

The new system will be an MMR (matchmaking rating) system most games use. Your rank will become obsolete as far as the matchmaking is concerned. Players will be matched together by their skill rating.

    skill rating (Survivor)

A survivor's skill rating will be determined by how well they do in a match and the rating of their opponent. Doing good against a Killer with a higher rating than you will award you more points than doing good against one with a lower rating than you.

    skill rating (Killer)

A Killer's skill rating will be determined by the rating of the Survivors and how well they do in a match. Doing good against Survivors with a higher rating than you will award more points than doing good against ones with a lower rating.

Each Killer will have their own rating.

    extra infos

    • The Emblem system will determine how well you did in a match.
    • Doing poorly against a Killer with a lower rating than you will make you lose more points than against a Killer with a higher rating.
    • You won't be able to see your own rating; other Players won't be able to see your rank in the Tally Screen or Lobbies anymore.
Link to the Forum post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/124795/status-update-matchmaking-changes#latest

By each Killer will have their own rating, do you mean that I would have individual ratings for each of my Killers? Or do you mean each Killer player?

  • I used to think that you had to have the perk Wake Up! in order to wake up against Freddy

  • M1'ing is for peasants, true Hillbilly mains only M2

  • It's okay at certain times. I find myself playing against the same people at times and it's fine. I have noticed however that the skill level of Switch players is questionable. I'm not calling myself a god or anything but I managed to get to rank 1 killer on there, and I highly doubt I would make it to even purple ranks on PC.

Solo queue is even more miserable as Survivor.

You have to play her for the tome logs or whatever they are called. The audio portion.

You can read the ones you didnt get on the dbd wiki, those also aren't required.

  • Thrilling Tremors: Let gens regress while blocked, reduce cooldown.

  • Cool but did anyone ask

  • Blood Echo is a very good perk on Plague, provided the Survivors don't cleanse. If they do, you won't need the perk, but if they don't it's also useful. You're at the rank where most people don't cleanse, so that's a good choice. Pop is also great, but I wouldn't run 4 slowdown perks. It's just not worth it. Pop by itself is fine. If you want to start chases fast, use BBQ for the bloodpoints and the auras. Dying Light isn't that good. Thana is also a very good choice on a Killer like Plague. It forces them to cleanse or do everything slower, both of which will benefit you. I'd personally run Thanataphobia, Blood Echo, BBQ, and Pop. You can't rely on Thana by itself after a few Survivors have died, so Pop lets you slow down after. BBQ for BP and map knowledge.

Haddonfield is the easiest place to do it and it works there. Just use the map offering, you can do it in one try. Also balanced landing.

I don't know why both those DLC's are free on Console.

It was probably just to be nice to the new platform at the time. The same goes for the Huntresses DLC, it's probably just a nice gift to the fan-base. Not everything needs a reason behind it, some things just happen randomly.

It's because the game costs more on console then on PC, so they included a few extra DLC's to consolidate for that.

  • Well, on console, Spark of Madness and Of Flesh and Mud are free. I don't know why they made Huntress's DLC free, though.

  • Depends on if you're going to play them or for perks. Clown has two good perks (Pop, Bamboozle) but he's a really bad Killer. Plague has two really good perks (Corrupt, Infectious) and she's also a decent Killer. Spirit has mediocre perks but she is a very good Killer if you learn her. Legion is pretty bad, but he's amazing for bloodpoint farming and ranking up. Discordance is also pretty good.

  • I don't think they updated it. Before, in tier I, he would have a 6 meter terror radius. Now, he has Undetectable while in tier I, so he has no TR or Red Stain. In tier II, he has 16 meter TR, and in tier III he has a 32 meter terror radius.

  • Yes. For example, if you are in Evil Within Tier III as The Shape and are using Monitor and Abuse, you will have a 40 meter terror radius as it takes a bit for it to fade back to 32 meters, so IF will have a 40 meter terror radius.

  • Spirit is one of the best Killers in the game, and also has mid-tier perks. She can down Survivors quickly and with enough practice it becomes really easy to do well frequently with her.

Oni is a good Killer as well, but his perks aren't as good. Nemesis works with stuff like PWYF or Rancor (which is unlockable through the Spirit). His power is very simple, but mastering things like his post-dash flick and timing is hard. He is very good once you get used to him.

The Legion is widely considered one of the worst Killers in the game, but he has 1 very good perk, Discordance. He is also probably the best Killer for pipping up and gaining bloodpoints. His power synergies very well with the emblem system so you can rank up fast with him. He's also pretty easy to learn.

Clown is probably the worst Killer in the game. He has no mobility, his power doesn't help in chases as much as it should, and he is just a normal loopable M1 Killer. He has two very good perks though, Bamboozle, and Pop Goes The Weasel. These two perks are almost a good reason to just buy him.

I'll also explain what each perk I mentioned does:

bAmboozle - teachable the clown perk

Your vault speed is 5/10/15% faster.

Performing a vault action calls upon the Entity to block that vault location for 8/12/16 seconds.

    Bamboozle does not affect Pallets.

Can be unlocked for all other Killers as a teachable perk at level 35 on the Clown's Bloodweb or the Shrine of Secrets. Teachable perks have an orange background.

NEMESIS - TEACHABLE THE ONI PERK

You seek retribution on those who have wronged you.

Any Survivor who blinds or stuns you using a Pallet or Locker becomes your Obsession.

Anytime a new Survivor becomes the Obsession, they are affected by the Oblivious status effect for 40/50/60 seconds and their Aura is revealed to you for 4 seconds.

You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Can be unlocked for all other Killers as a teachable perk at level 40 on the Oni's Bloodweb or the Shrine of Secrets.

POP GOES THE WEASEL - TEACHABLE THE CLOWN PERK

A deep bond with the Entity unlocks great strength.

After hooking a Survivor, the next Generator you break is instantly regressed by 25% of its total progression. Normal Generator regression applies after the damage is done.

Pop Goes The Weasel is active for 40/50/60 seconds after the Survivor is hooked.

Can be unlocked for all other Killers as a teachable perk at level 40 on the Clown's Bloodweb or the Shrine of Secrets.

RANCOR - TEACHABLE THE SPIRIT PERK

You become obsessed with one particular Survivor.

Each time a Generator is completed, the Obsession sees your Aura for 5/4/3 seconds.

Each time a Generator is completed, all Survivor's locations are revealed to you for 3 seconds.

Once all the Generators have been completed, the Obsession has the Exposed status effect and you can Kill your Obsession.

Can be unlocked for all other Killers as a teachable perk at level 40 on the Spirit's Bloodweb or the Shrine of Secrets.

DISCORDANCE - TEACHABLE THE LEGION PERK

Any time 2 or more Survivors are working on the same Generator, that Generator's aura is highlighted in yellow for 8/10/12 seconds.

Can be unlocked for all other Killers as a teachable perk at level 30 on the Legion's Bloodweb or in the Shrine of Secrets.

Personally, I would recommend getting the Oni and the Spirit. If you're going to play a Killer other then these two, get Legion and Clown for their perks. If you want to get BPs faster, buy the Cannibal and get him to level 35 for his perk, BBQ and Chili. This perk allows you to get 100% bonus bloodpoints at tier 3 if you hook all 4 survivors at least once. It also shows the aura of all Survivors 40 metres from the hook for 4 seconds.

It's on the way. There's different processes for releasing updates on each platform, so sometimes the release timing can vary. We're hoping to have it out as soon as we can.

    Oh ok, thanks!

  • It's beautiful. I've stared at this for 5 hours now.

  • You do know they add 1 meter of extra distance for each one right?

  • This achievement requires you to run the add-on Judith's Tombstone, and is best paired with Fragrant Tuft of Hair. So it doesn't mean you kill survivors using an Ebony Memento Mori. These add-ons increase the amount of evil required to get to tier III by 400%, so try your best to stay hidden. For perks, I recommend Corrupt Intervention, Enduring, and Spirit Fury. The only must need perk is PWYF. The tombstone makes you move slower, so you need PWYF to stop the debuff. Enduring and SF to catch up to Survivors faster, and Corrupt to slow down gens so you can get in your stalking before they do a lot of generators. Once you go near the Survivor, tap the attack button to start Killing them. The mori animation will play, and it will not deplete tokens of PWYF. Once you find your obsession, stalk them to keep ending the chase and stacking tokens. Keep doing this until you have 3 tokens. Now you can start killing everyone. A little bit of luck is involved as the hatch may always screw you over. Once you close it, if you see the last person opening a door, stand behind them and let them open it fully. As soon as they are done, attack and Kill them. For maps, I recommend open maps or small maps. Try to use perks that let you catch up to Survivors faster. There is always the possibility that one survivor will head into a locker and deny the achievement. It requires a lot of luck.

  • Whispers, Sloppy Butcher, Thrilling, I'm All Ears. Whispers to let you know where Survivors are and have more control over being revealed, also lets you know where to look for Survivors. Sloppy is good with A Nurse's Calling but you don't have that, Thrilling could also be replaced with Bitter Murmur, and I'm All Ears lets you end chases faster if used right.
