Latency..her hitox is basketball sized to compensate for small survivor hitboxes and bad terrain hitboxes..without it hatchets go straight through survivors..tried and tested..an utter failure

Sounds like they should never have introduced the huntress, because they never had the capacity to manage her effectively.

  • I know were not supposed to d/c from games but when you've turned a corner and are halfway down a corridor and suddenly go down.......

I'm not really sure why they expect survivors to stay.....

I might call it "chest thumping" if someone is insinuating NEVER healing, but in this case...theres just so many better options. Like you said, inner strength is GREAT. I used that for abit myself when it first came out. Typically though I stick to bond since it has alot of uses, not JUST for healing.

Not sure which story you're referring too and like I said in my other reply to you I understand the options. But to say that SC isn't an option is just wrong unless your getting into some kind of nuanced elite tier style of gaming.

Eh, I stopped using SC after the last nerf. It just takes too damn long, especially if the killer is using any heal slowdown perks. Even without bond or empathy, it's usually not too hard to find someone to heal you.

While I won't fault anyone for using whatever build they like, I was getting really annoyed at one group this weekend... self-caring against a legion with thana and sloppy. At one point with Empathy I saw someone start healing on the other side of the map. I started working on a gen that was less than halfway done. I finished before they did.

Agree and I think this is a good argument against it.

I don't run SC but tend to run inner strength but in your scenario I wouldn't necessarily be using it because there's no point. But what were getting into now is the nuance of different matches. In my example, they kept getting 'one-shotted' because they had no heal and couldn't manage the killer. I really wish they did have SC in my scenario.

Some in this thread were had more of a 'chest thumping' take. That is 'oh if you were a good player, you wouldn't need it'. So it tends to skew a lay audiences view of SC.

Who really runs selfcare if theyre gonna be bringing a medkit and using ITS advantage anyways?

Your not wrong, but there's also a lot of assumptions based around that statement.

The most obvious is HAVING a medikit to begin with, because they're not infinite. Then you move into ideas like having a constant heal rather than say a one off.

I don't use SC fyi, but I do think there's layers to this argument other than 'if you're good, you don't use it'.

  • @premiumRICE said:

Self care wastes you so much time and a perk slot.

SC is not meta since the nerf, some out of touch players might still run it but is underperforming.

    Also no DS lmao.

    *nerfs

    plural

  • @28_stabs said:

I think it was always meta.

    This.

I think the movement of no self-care was more in the context 'how you should play if you think you're a leet player'.

    As a side example:

I was in a game where the killer was good, could chase and hook no issue, and ended up finishing with 20k+ end game.

End game chat one of the survivors started lecturing the killer, about how during end game the killer should have camped more and claimed the kill because gennies were done etc etc.

Killer was like no, I don't want to play like that. But this survivor couldn't let it go, he would just start saying 'well at upper tiers good killers will blah blah', 'So if you want to be higher ranked killer you have to blah blah'. I ended telling this guy to be quiet and let the killer play how he wanted to play.

This idea of no self-care is the same kind of thing. Sure in some situations its better not to heal and get a gennie done, but I've been in games having to run from one hook to the next because my team kept getting 'one shotted' because they refused to heal.

My killer queques are instant while as a survivor i need to wait several minutes.. I have no idea what lobby simulator you are talking abaut.

I get a few replies with people saying as killers that they have 'instant' queues but typically there's no context so it's hard to take it seriously.

There may be a few things are happening here, but like I said, there's no context so it becomes this weird subjective opinion from some rando on the internets.

What I suspect is happening is that if your a long time player whose dropped money on the game and you usually play killer then you get preferential treatment. It also might be different across consoles compared to what I've seen on PC.

The external website I used to monitor would show that the metrics before going to dedicated servers demonstrate a consistent 2 survivors to every killer. You need 4 survivors for a game. Sometimes you see 3:1, but NEVER the inverse. Always, too many people want to play killer.

Also the ingame timer that was in briefly showed this consistency before it was removed because killers started complaining about their queue times.

Feel free to disagree but try and at least do better than 'cause I say so'.

Yeah dude, keep talking about patch 1.5.0 lmao. This how long your evidence dates back. Git gud as survivor. Just like when you state facts about nurse. Nurse is broken killer. <- Those are your facts. Not anecdotal at all or completely irrelevant, lul. 🤣

Please go to urban dictionary and update wall of text with your definition. 😂

    Like I said..... 😏

    What a joke.

Your conclusions are hilarious, meanwhile you have more killers playing survivor. Killer lobbies are instant, you seriously bring up the introduction of bloodlust (OMEGALUL) seriously if any survivor fails to survive it is because he/she/it is horrible at the game.

Your evidence has as much value as bringing up depip squad and act as if this is still the same game.

You went at length to give your opinion as a bad survivor who struggles even with all crutches available and most maps in favor of survivors with little to no challenge unless you face somebody that is really good but hey since matchmaking is a complete joke, you will only end up to own some noob that doesn't even have 3 perks.

    lol are you ok?

Your wall of text reminds me of the last exchange you had sometime ago, where I didn't bother replying. For the simple reason that there was no substance too it.

I don't see ANYTHING else here, just like last time.

Do you even know what subjective and anecdotal means?

I'm not going to bother posting the website deets I mentioned last time or the ingame timer. Because all your just going to conveniently forget it again and say something to the effect of 'no you didn't'.

    😂

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/950821#Comment_950821

This is a call from reality, killer lobbies are instant right now. DC were not only about survivors but also about killers but hey great story.

The metrics show nothing at all, maybe read up on it.

Glad to see your anecdotal subjective takes, that really put me in my place -.-

What's even better is I went at length to explain (and give you evidence) of aforementioned points. I guess the issue is when it doesn't fit your world view.

But by all means provide some evidence this time round, maybe you have a point 🙄

  • OP Summary:

Killer perks aren't OP but survivor perks are.

  • I don't get this post.

People whine about survivor disconnects and want the devs to do something. They find that survivors find doctor annoying, devs do something, continue to whine about having done something.

Why don't we leave doctor as is, ban all the disconnects and then play lobby simulator as killers.

    Great idea.

Metrics before going to dedicated servers demonstrate a consistent 2 survivors to every killer. You need 4 survivors for a game. Sometimes you see 3:1, but NEVER the inverse. Always, too many people want to play killer.

Over time the devs have consistently removed or nerfed the aspects that allow survivors to survive (vaults, pallets etc.), while buffing killers (bloodlust, more one-shot/instant find mechanics, end game hatch). Survivor mains did one of 2 things since release. Left the game or migrated to playing killer. The only survivor mains left are ‘new’ survivors who have no perspective or my favourite; killer mains that ‘play both sides equally’ -.-

The game is biased in favor of killers and the metrics show it.

If killers want to play lobby simulator, just keep making OP like this one -.-

Hilarious this is the accepted answer. Give me a break.

Keys allow survivors to escape when they haven't completed their objective and robs killers of their chance to win in the end game. Not mention survivors are often toxic about it, waiting for the killer to find them and giving out some tbags before spamming "EZ" in the chat.

    rofl

Sounds like you've just argued for the removal of mori's too.

    killer sided?

    Have you ever played DbD?

you must be talking about a different game.

If you haven't played since release you probably aren't catching what I've said (you certainnly didn't try to provide any evidence to counter the fact).

Then again, with the trajectory of the game and the way the community has been manage I've noticed its created a bubble.

So your points in that regard resonate with me.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/115443/survivors-you-are-not-being-funny-by-dcing

DCing is not an intended mechanic of the game. Outside unnatural causes outside the confines of player control (Poweroutage due to storms, ect.) is robbing everyone involved. The killer gets punished for playing the game, other survivors have to accommodate a gaping hole in their team comp, and the player who performs dcing robs themselves of any chance of improvement. Same with a killer dcing. What is the point of buying a game you quit playing soon as it doesn't stay in your absolute favor?

Morally I don't disagree with you but it also discounts human nature.

  • @Supernaut said:

I report every DC, with a quick line about the circumstances.

I had a guy who ran to the back corner repeatedly to prevent me from getting it, and DC'd rather than give me the hook. He then stayed behind to mock me in the post game chat.

I really hope that the review team see this and punish these guys appropriately...

    Doubt it.

They did a round of bans back when the 'pull plug' d/c was the norm. Since then, they've decided that leaving a game is considered a disconnect and ban you BUT....

Killer queue times are going up so they have to balance that with 'addressing the d/c issue' which is just rampant. Because all that is going to happen next is the 'suicide on hook/afk' strategy.

The devs need to address the underlying issues if they want to really manage this.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/949125#Comment_949125

Right now they're instant and we got long survivor queues. Just like two years ago. It's not as bad, but we are getting close to it with various bugs on certain killers and the sound issues. Additionally there were some nerfs to freddy and oni, for some reason. Survivors don't got that big issues rn except DH.

    No they're not.

I've noticed that long term killers get preferential treatment (queue skipping) but beyond that killer queue times are up.

Before games went to dedicated servers, the ratio of survivor/killer was 2/1 sometimes 3 but NEVER the inverse.

Also the devs removed ingame timers, but before they did killers started complaining about their queue times relative to survivor.

These points alone make it interesting about how d/c penalties are going to work out and why the devs and inching forward because these metrics are just going to get worse as its usually survivors that d/c.

And I don't understand your 'but 2 years ago' survivor queue times were worse? Because unless you can explain this better it just sounds like some abstract anecdotal subjective point that's designed to conflate the issue.

  • The single trial challenges are just bad.

If people lose the ability to finish their challenge then the chance they are just going to leave a game early increases exponentially.

I'm all for additional mechanics to break up and give us longer games. But single trial challenges seems to be a step in the wrong direction.

Well of course EGC benefits the killer, I mean if he finds the hatch and there is 1 survivor left shouldn't he have the better chance.

If your reply is 'of course' then you imply its obvious because the fact of the matter is you COMPLETELY missed the point of my post. So I'm left wondering why you even bothered to post because I dont disagree with the point..........

I guess you think a 1v1 should finish with farming? rofl

  • Not going to disagree with your points but just say that this has been a 'thing' since release. And why survivors in particular have been asking for different game modes etc. Because the reality is that survivors are just reskins, there's nothing unique about them and its funny that they list different survivors as easy/hard etc in the character select screen, given they all end up the same.

    In addition to your point:

I remember reading a thread once on the DBD reddit years ago. Killers were complaining about how they had no variety relative to survivor, how they were stuck using the same perks relative to survivor etc. Without any insight into how killers play different and perks should enhance that different play style etc. Compare to survivor which is just a reskin.

What was also fascinating is the echo room that existed in that place and how a rationale point in favour of survivors would get downvoted while a post that amounted to nothing more than 'salty survivors' would get upvoted to infinity and beyond!

It's been interesting to see how that translates here, where someone can't auto downvote and is stuck ignoring you or TRYING to argue on the merits of an argument. But coming from that bubble, well, they can't argue basically and I suspect they swapped the downvote for the report feature. lol

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/948731#Comment_948731

This. Last two months were hard for killer players tho.

I won't disagree with that, but when you consider the nerfs thrown at survivors over time relative to killer or playing as a soloq survivor which has received nerf after nerf.

Then you throw in design decisions recently like EGC (or hatch close) which just benefits killers in general. Where if you have a high mobility killer and 2 adjacent doors then as a survivor your better off farming totems/hooks then trying to open gate if hatch is closed.

In that capacity, its good that killers have received some push back. Unless the devs want killer queue times to increase.

I started playing the game 2 years ago and I can tell you, the game is perfectly balanced at the moment, at least compared to what it used to be... The only problem right now is the ranking system

Now, about pallets and vaults I can guarantee you that there are enough of them around every map to run the killer around and make him waste a lot of time but you always need to have a plan before you enter a chase, that way you know where the safe pallets are, where the jungle gyms are, where you can mind game etc. I honestly enjoy playing survivor a bit more than killer and I can tell you, the game is perfectly balanced as of right now.

    YOUR point is mute buddy

    lol

Your post responding to my post where I mention anecdotal subjective evidence.....

    But those 2 years

    Kewl story bro.

    Your point is mute.

  • Honestly, its just a manifestation of something to 'hold onto'.

At release killers complained about infinites (REAL infinites too, not the pseudo-infinites you have now). I remember a killer commenting that once infinites were out of the game, there would be no need for killers to play sweaty anymore. I laughed.

People aren't logical, they don't come at arguments from that perspective. They are emotional and influenced by socialisation effects.

The long story short, after June 2016 killers complained about infinites and sprint burst that would recharge while in a chase without exhaustion. Fast forward 2019 and its keys and looping.

Keys, much like mori's are annoying but are kinda rare and don't reflect the majority of games. But when you get owned and you want to hyperbole on the forums, well it suddenly translates into every game is swf who all have keys etc etc.

Like I said requires some skill. A skill most people didn't either develop or want too because it requires you to actually think instead of brain dead running a loop.

Nerfed is a nice way to say butchered to uselessness. Even a dev confirmed that Nurse is now worse then Legion.

Which is fine. As I said, broken since release. Never should have been introduced to begin with.

I'm aware of how the game was intended to be played. Ive been playing since there were only a literal handful of killers. You know what else is boring? The meta, that the dev cannot fix because they don't even know how to fix the bugs they have. Ugly cosmetics, not even funny ugly. I can hear Dwight's new elf costume from 50 yards away. Glow in the dark paint cosmetics? come on.. in the last 6 months they've crippled solo players to the point its not even close to being fun to play. Then you have toxic survivors who troll other survivors, which if you play SWF you'll never see them. The entire time i played SWF when i first got the game I didn't have a problem. Playing solo is leagues harder and its not rewarded, at all. You get rewarded for playing like a jerk more often than anything else.

Survivors cannot make the game fun. Period. They have next to know control how the game flows unless they are spectacularly good at looping and/or using Flashlights. The killer dedicating to chase and not gen pressure leads to gen rushing, which leads to tunneling/camping etc. Its not git gud anymore. I used to get blinds in p2p, now because of trash servers i can't even get a blind unless they're kicking a pallet. Half the time I have to aim at the forehead because of the latency the killer has to the server. DBD is constantly losing player base numbers. 20-22k player on average and i'm waiting 10+ minutes for a queue as killer, half hour + during non peak times. i literally cannot do the killer side of the rift because of how bad the gameplay has become. Every game, when i find out the killer, 75% of the time i already know all 4 perks they're running because everyone uses the OP meta setup. That being said, until BHVR pulls their heads outta their ***** i'm not spending another penny on this game. I used to buy loads of humble bundles when DBD came up and gave them away for free to people. Nah. On that note, i can say pretty much screw this game.

The game has definitely become a parody of itself.

I see it pop up on survey's or get asked as a question from time to time about how scary people find the game. I find it a funny question because the game is just not in that place anymore. I wonder if this is something that affects new players, because I doubt anyone who has experience in the game gets scared. You might have jump scares but its still not scary. The more splatter they add to the screen for 'immersion', the more 'one-shots' they add, the more I find myself rolling my eyes.

I don't necessarily like the meta but its what's carried this game as far as it has and why the game is still relevant when other 4v1 died a long time ago. Maybe what were seeing now is DBD just looking to grab what it can (money) before it too is irrelevant.

  • @betelgeuseyes said:

I'm relentless. for example, I hooked someone right next to a gen which was almost done, so I camped there. someone saved them when i was right there and I got the person again and got the kill.

Now this person is messaging me trying to tell me that I'm a bad player but in my eyes I'm a good killer.

so what am i supposed to do now? let them escape? I'm a little annoyed about this to say the least...

    Interesting side note:

    You've highlighted why survivors d/c.

  • @projecteulogy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/947653#Comment_947653

Tbh, i feel discouraged to play the game "normally" because of how other people play. So i'm just gonna meme. Don't really struggle. Found me? Free hook state, just so i can see how youre gonna play. Plus, I feel like looping is #########. No horror movie in the history of anything had survivors running a supernatural killer around a bunch of wood between a pallet. This is supposed to be a big game of hide and go seek but no points ever for being good at hiding.

That's it in a nutshell, at the end of the day its a game that's supposed to be fun, you play it as such, if its not fun you do one of 2 things, make it fun or stop playing.

    Interesting point:

Survivors were supposed to play 'sneaky sneak' at release. I remember watching one of Tru3 streams while he lectured survivors about 'how they should be playing' 🙄

The devs failed to predict the whole juking phenomena.

Truth be told I think this games' success was in part by accident due to the emergent behaviour that came from survivors, because this game would have gotten boring REAL fast if it was all about hiding.

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/947733#Comment_947733

Yeah, she was. Then they removed one of her blinks and made her slower than a survivor. Going back to the steam forums during this time period would show your types telling others, Nurse is now balanced and to git gud. Well they did. Then survivors wanted more changes and they got it.

If Nurse somehow makes a come back and the players overcome the road blocks the Devs placed on her. Then the screams of nerf will return again.

Look if you want to argue it was a fun killer for survivors to play against sometimes.

    Sure

You wan't to argue that at some point nurse was 'fixed'?

    lol no

Nurse has been broken since release.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Just report them for not participating in normal gameplay. Should also result in bans with increasing reports.

I think the devs will do this, but they also know that it won't solve the problem.

Survivors won't magically stay in miserable games.

  • Nurse is a broken killer and should NEVER have been released.

Nerfing the nurse is one of the better decisions the devs have made.

Everyone needs to build a bridge.

  • @Liruliniel said:

Many survivors could loop even good to god level Nurse's if they put the time into learning how too. It required playing different which a lot of people hated. Yes I could do it and I was not a minority or the only person capable of doing this.

Nurse was balanced without addons. She really needed a rework for her addons alone. Now she's one of the worst killers in the game as pointed out by a Dev.

Imagine that people enjoyed Nurse on both sides was the only real challenge anymore. Now anyone who plays with or against just finds the current Nurse a joke and unfun to play against.

Nurse has been broken since release. FULL STOP. It should never have been introduced as a killer.

Also, this 'god' tier juking by survivors you mention didn't happen, you wanna know how I know? BECAUSE SHE WAS NERFED.

  • @DwightOP said:

Nurse is dead. Devs betrayed her and the community and she is now buried under the ground.

  • @snozer said:

The devs achieved their goal to stop survivors complaining (a sign of a gutted killer)

They also said they are not going to do anything, so people have given up and quit or play anything else.

Funny, before dedicated servers came up the ratio of survivors/killers was 2/1, sometimes up to 3 but never the inverse. You have more killers waiting for games then survivors, so it's probably good if there is less killers.

And yes, I get that anecdotal point about how YOU as a killer ALWAYS gets insta games and while this means a lot to you, it doesn't really mean anything.

  • Nurse should never have been introduced into the game.

The nurse was ALWAYS a broken killer. FULL-STOP.

If the devs can't delete the nurse then nerfing is the next best thing.

People need to build a bridge at this point.

  • @Accullla said:

As survivor, I wouldn't mind it

As killer, I'd feel a bit cheap if it actually activates. Also, it will be an indirect nerf to other hex perks like devour, which rely on the element of surprise and survivors not looking for totems. On the other hand, perks like thrill could become the new meta as a way to slow down games

It's worth mentioning that this would proc most games at lower rank, simply because the average survivor at low levels are still struggling with skill checks nvm being unable to manage the many 'insta-find', 'one-shot' and cleansing mechanics in the game. So it simply wouldn't get cleansed.

And from what I've seen average killers can 4k provided they can chase (predict movement etc.) at these ranks. Because new players dont know how to loop/juke. I'm already telling new players not to bother with this game unless they're interested in playing killer, because they'll just get farmed at lower levels.

The OP's idea would just make it worse.

  • @projecteulogy said:

That DC Ban test for a few days was not a step in the right direction. No body addresses the totality of why people DC. First downed isn't as often as people think. While toxic players cause people to DC way more often. Neither have been addressed.

-Sandbagged intentionally by another survivor(locker spam/pointing while running bond)/Unsafe Unhooks, body blocking into corners.

-3 Man SWF DC. Lawl yeah no thanks. i'm deranking anyway.

-Slugged/Camped/Tunneled, I can see why someone would DC. Don't blame them

-Gamebreaking bugs: Wiggle/Struggle spam glitching(Yeah you can't help but die if you're in phase 2 and it bugs) Basement infinite blind/world fall through, you never recover. You have to DC from what i've experienced. Stuck on terrain: you have to be downed and picked up by the killer. Most every killer will leave you until you're the last one left. I'm DCing.

Rubberbanding- Killers using a VPN to completely cross into another hemisphere or has really really really bad Walmart brand internet. If you warp around like Goku, imma head out.

100% this. If the devs cant manage survivor fun in the game... well.... survivors will have to manage it themselves.

It probably is bannable due to not participating in normal gameplay.

Oh there you go. That's how they can slip in that rule to make it bannable -.-

  • It's fine, for the most part.

The whole 'bad sportsmanship' take is a joke take tbh. Usually when someone suicides, I'm like 'yeah fair enough'.

Things like being the first found survivor as an example.

The reality being that if you are first found, the likelihood that your game will be camped tunneled out of existence increases exponentially. So when you get a killer with hex ruin up, that's running laps around the basement not letting anyone unhook and you KNOW your BP generation is going to be nothing. It becomes less of a 'why suicide' and more 'why would you want to stick around'.

It's been interesting to watch the evolution of survivor players since release as they've had to endure nerf after nerf and manage their enjoyment of the game around that.

It started with 'pull plug' disconnect that happened back in the day, then the devs said if you use it you'll get banned. So survivors migrated to leaving games, which the devs then said 'oh were gonna classify this as a disconnect now too', so therefore bannable. This process as been over the years since release.

So were now at the 'suicide on hook' phase, which I 100% guarantee you will get addressed. They won't be able to turn this into a 'disconnect' so they'll have to rejig the system.

  • @Endstille

I'm not sure what you think the vid proves. There's a vid floating around where Tru3 plays as nurse I believe at release and COMPLETELY owns the dev team who were playing survivor.

Based off your standards it shows 'how unbalanced the game was'.

Also you're mischaracterising my argument COMPLETELY. I never said nerfs can't or shouldn't have happen.

My main point is that survivor has been nerfed more relative to killer (which it has), that killer is easier now than it was at release (which it is) and that the trajectory of the game has absolutely been decisions in the killers favour. I guess that's why your mischaracterising my argument and talking about 'reflection' because I'm just seeing projection here.

I don't mind to call people out, who live in a bubble because their arguments fall apart when they have to engage with reality. Much like what's happening right now.

I'm not splitting the community, but people post 'poor killer, what are you going to do for killer' posts, so I just point out who killer isn't exactly 'poor' and people don't like that.

This forum seriously needs a rule against posts that are just "Entitled Survivor/Killer mains" and posts that are "Obviously a filthy killer/survivor main"

This stuff is non constructive, and is literally made for no other reason than to incite an argument or passive aggressively go at someone.

You literally have an OP talking about salty survivors, but someone posts an 'entitled killer' statement and THAT'S the problem.

The level of hypocrisy in this forum is pathetic.

    Across 2017:

    General killer nerfs:

Bloodlust nerfed 3 times after its introduction

    Window vault speed nerfed

unrelenting/save the best for last both gutted to take apart the machine gun combo, unrelenting never regained usefulness.

    Iron grasp heavily nerfed.

    Trapper:

    Trap hitbox reduced multiple times

    Red stone/purple stone both nerfed.

    reduced time to sabo/disarm trap.

    Wraith:

First attempted rework weakened him significantly. Second rework is current form.

    Hillbilly:

    flick removed

increased default penalty when bumping into things.

    nurse:

removed one blink by default and nerfed her movement speed to current levels.

    Myers:

removed ability to stalk multiple survivors at once.

    Nerfed stalk gain rate.

    hag:

Introduced the counterplay to not activate traps by crouching.

Long persisting bug that left her unable to move for a brief moment after teleporting.

    Doctor:

was intended to break the game, had to be buffed within a month due to being so weak. Never considered strong.

    huntress:

    Heavily nerfed iridescent hatchets

    increased base wind up time.

    Freddy:

    reduced his aura reading powers

...this is hardly comprehensive, just what I could come up with thinking through the killers. Now please, let me stress:

I FULLY BELIEVE SOME (not all) OF THE ABOVE NERFS WERE JUSTIFIED.

That being said, I mention them to make it crystal clear that your narrative of survivors being the only ones who have been nerfed in the past is incorrect. Being angry about recent nerfs to survivors is all fine and good, but not when you create a false narrative.

I didn't say survivors were the only one. What I did say is that the level of changes fundamentally changed the game to the detriment of survivors. Overall the game has gotten harder for survivors, easier for killers. FULL STOP.

You seem to be looking at more of a play by play, which we can wade into but that's a nuanced and involved conversation. For example, you mention reduced speed to sabo traps, but skip over the fact they regenerate themselves now, overall you would call that a BUFF as far as impact on the game is concerned, there's no way you could call that a nerf unless you want to feed YOUR narrative.

Man, you just don’t know how to not be inflammatory, do you? I’d respond with a short list of a bunch of killer nerfs across 2017, when I played more consistently, but I’m not putting in the effort when there’s that much bias and “let’s start a fight” in your initial post in the thread.

Well I'm not pulling punches if that's what you mean. Maybe I could have said it nicer but I'm not wrong.

Infinites gone, vaulting/perk/map/pallet nerfs, bloodlust added, end game timer added, hatch close added. All this has made being killer easier and survivor harder since release.

You don't ANYTHING NEAR the same level of game changing nerfs aimed at killer.

Survivors have always been the ones that needed to adapt to the game, it's only more recently that killers aren't having the game catered to them.

  • The single trial challenges are straight up BAD.

Middle of the game and didn't get it? Guess you're going to have to leave the game. They've been warning this 'time out' system for leaving games, not sure why they would encourage it at the same time.

  • My unit of metric is if you know the different iterations that Sprint Burst has gone through in its life time since launch.

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

She's far from weak or garbage, but she's definitely a lot weaker and less fun to play.

And this is coming from a console player; I can only imagine how painful she is on dedicated servers.

I wouldn't even put her A Tier anymore. Sure her power denies looping, but she suffers considerably from any mistakes and no longer has half as much map pressure.

Honestly, nobody has any reason to ever play Nurse anymore unless you're a masochist, like I am, or just really like the character. Spirit does anti-looping better.

    That's for the best.

Nurse is a broken killer and should never have been introduced to begin with.

  • @Toxicboii said:

Concerning her recent changes, loads, and I mean LOADS of people, complained their asses off due to her change, multiple people were saying she's weak now considering a.... Charge mechanic was added to nurse...

It takes 6 seconds to charge, but I did hear someone say it felt more like 3.5 seconds. 'felt' not 'is'.

She may not be in S Tier, but her power is still strong, all it does is leave more room for survivors to counter her, since nurse previously could blink with no end on sight, which made it hard for survivors to escape her in chases. This change was intended to make the Nurse less impossible to escape, and give survivors larger windows of opportunities to escape her. And it was good when they did that, for the overall balance of the game. And this change did indeed succeed in that.

Don't say that the "Survivors got what they wanted", at the time, nobody cared much about nurse... Oddly enough. This update was unexpected, but was for the balance of the game itself. "Not the hero we wanted, but the hero we needed".

Go ahead and discuss more of this below.

    Nurse isn't weak.

What were seeing is the killer community largely trying to come to terms with what a nerf feels like. Historically it's been survivors who've received nerfs. However games now are seeing more than 50% survivor kills, so the devs are trying to pull it back closer to 50%.

With the years of survivor nerfs, with little to no push back on killers. You've essentially created an entire entitled killer class that just can't accept the change.

That's why you're seeing so much drama.
