Yeah i feels this too. Yesterday my teammates dont dive up early and gen up more faster, i could escape 4 times in a row, i liked yesterday, and as killer, matches feels like normal
I had far less d/c's as well. I don't think anyone d/c'd when I was playing killer, and I only rember 2 as survivor.

look at some posts about soloQ being horrible. A lot of comments of Killer mains who are still struggling or even more
I haven't seen any comments like that.

Judging from your use of "probably" in this sentence, I'm going to guess you have yet to play AGAINST it.
Go against a Legion running Thana, Jolt, Eruption, and either Overcharge or Pentimento and come back and tell me about the joyous experience and how it supposedly isn't busted
It's annoying but definitely not busted. This build or builds like it get their power from the survivors playing poorly. Survivors that spread out, heal when appropriate, and cleanse totems make these builds worthless.
-
Did they say no or are you just assuming?
-
I think it's bugged because the audio effect didn't go away after I hooked the 6 survivors, but the visual effect did. It was horrible.

Developers have been listening almost exclusively to killers. For years.
Don't believe me?
1.) "Maps are too dark. I can't find Blendette!" Maps were redesigned and brightened.
2.) "Loops are too hard! They are godloops!" Almost* (all?) godloops were erased. Most decent loops were taken out as well.
3.) "Gens pop too quickly! I can't do anything!" Gen time was increased.
4.) "Hooks are too far apart! Survivors are abusing this!" Hooks were brought closer together.
5.) "Deadhard is too much! They get 2 seconds extra time in a chase/miss my hit (even though they gained exhaustion)!" DH was nerfed.
6.) "Decisive strike is not fair! If they are down, I deserve to get a hook!" DS was nerfed.
7.) "Flaslights are too OP! I can't play against them!" Flashlights were adjusted/overhauled.
8.) "Keys and hatches are not fair! I deserve to kill everyone!" Keys and hatch were nerfed.
Now before you say: "Well, killers were a little underwhelming and SWF was too strong"--I agreed! But gain some perspective on just how much the devs always, for years, have catered to the killers.
Complaining about forever Legion is the least of your concerns.
Your hyperbole defeats your whole argument here. A lot of those nerfs happened because survivors were abusing them.
The hook changes for instance were due to survivors running to parts of the map where it was impossible to hook them.
DH didn't only give "2 seconds" longer in chases and you know that.
Infinite loops made it impossible for a killer to even get a hit so survivors would bring offerings for those maps and run straight to the infinite every chase.
Keys let survivors fail their objective but still get a 3-man escape.
Flashlights gave an insta-blind so the survivor didn't even have to time the save right to make it work.
Gen speeds were/are a problem when survivors can bring Prove Thyself, Toolboxes, and BNP's and pop 2 gens at the start of the match before the killer can even cross the map to get there.
And you're ignoring all of the killer nerfs that have happened. Nurse was nerfed, Spirit was nerfed twice, Deathslinger was nerfed. Pyramid Head was nerfed, Freddy was nerfed multiple times, Cenobite was nerfed, Wraith was nerfed, a lot of killer add-ons were nerfed, Ruin has been nerfed twice, Pop was nerfed twice, SH:PR was nerfed, Undying was nerfed, even Huntress' Lullaby was nerfed.
The build the OP described was nothing. Easily countered in every way. Thana can be avoided by healing or just worked through because at max it only adds something like 19 seconds to a generator if only 1 person is working on it, Thrilling Tremors doesn't block a gen if you're actively working on it and even if you let go it's only up for a few seconds. Oppression is so weak almost no one runs it. You get a difficult skill check if you happen to be working on one of the random gens it selects or it causes 3 gens to regress at 4 times longer than it takes a solo survivor to repair it and gen tapping will stop it entirely.

The patch seems to have brought the hackers back. I've had matches with more blatant hackers since Tuesday than I have since I started playing DbD.

You can't shame survivors for running anti-tunneling and anti-camping perks when there are Pinheads running Thana, Plaything, Pentimento, and pick your last slowdown against solo queue. I'm not working the math out, but gens are 90 seconds, nearly three minutes with 4 stacks of Thana and one stack of Pentimento. Add to this running to the other side of the map to get the box, whatever time to do the box (if he doesn't teleport directly onto you), and the time it takes to run back to the gen that lost all its progress because it turns out Pinhead running Call of Brine. It is unfair. A word that isn't applied often to this game and really hard to justify. But it is true after this update.
I'm not shaming anyone for running them. I am saying that they were over relied on. DH and DS let survivors get away with bad plays and instantly fix their mistakes and drag the chase out another 30+ seconds. Now that they don't have those options their lack of skill or experience in chase is really showing. With practice things will get better.
Regarding your Pinhead scenario: this should never happen. Thana should never be at 4 stacks for long. Survivors have more than enough items and perks to heal and keep it under control. Likewise Pentimento is easily dealt with. Since it has to replace a hex or a Boon, if the killer is actually running Shattered Hope, then everyone should know where the Pentimento totems are. You see exactly where a Boon was so you should know to check it when you see Pentimento activate, and you get a loud noise notification and visual graphic of the general area a Hex is cleansed so you should know to check it as well when Pentimento activates

Mandy said dc matches are not used to get statistics. Add more penalties and these people will stop moving and then these game will be another 4k to the statistics
This has nothing to do with statistics. A wave of people DC makes the rest of the players unhappy because it's impossible to win a 3 v 1 so they stop playing. It's just a bully tactic to force the devs to comply by ruining the game for others to the point they quit and BHVR loses money.

Solo queue is dead but SWF's and playing killer isn't, it's definitely unbalanced and damaged the game but because of other play options idk if it will die, they'll definitely loose a lot of players tho Inno i'm not going to be able to keep playing in this state of solo q and I don't find killer fun :/
Solo is just fine. I've been playing solo survivor since the update and almost nothing had changed other than my teammates are having a hard time because they never learned to play without three 2nd chance perks and IW. Now whenever they hear the killer's terror radius they run like a frightened cat.
Give it 2 - 3 weeks and people will start to adjust to life without DH.

That seems like a good way to anger already angry people.
People who are actively harming the experience for other players because they aren't getting their way you mean. In other words, crybabies will cry.
-
Too many survivors throw hissy fits when they don't get their way so they DC hoping to bully the devs into giving them their easy mode back.
It's time to make harsher DC penalties.

It's not a slight buff at all to Thanat. I think people are misunderstanding the multiplicative effect to every slowdown that adding 10 seconds to gens has.
Over the last 2 days I've gone against several Legions with Thana plaus other slowdown/regression perks. It doesn't feel that different. Even in games where my team was prioritizing healing we still got gens done at a decent pace.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
They're gens. The game is 6 years old. What are we not adapting to? This isn't some new mechanic that was introduced. The only objective in the game for one side was made to take an eternity when you factor in the extra 10 seconds and stacked slowdowns everyone is running. Gens were made 80 seconds for a reason back in the day.
Killers were stacking slowdowns before the patch as well. Pop and PR were common to see together, ruin, pop and PR were together were almost as common. Thana has always been popular on Legion and it's only seen a slight buff.
The biggest problem survivors are having is they haven't learned that chases are much shorter than they were before. They no longer have the crutches of DH and DS to extend chases for what's basically multiple extra health states.
-
We need both sets really.
-
I think the system is bugged. I have the 100% BP bonus for survivor as well but my queue times are 5ish minutes indicating there's far more survivors playing than killers. I switched over and my killer queue times are instant which indicates there aren't enough killers.

Sounds you got very lucky you probably got tree man swf as your teammates and faced bad killers. I will not touch soloQ it was hard enough already I stick to killer instead.
I would encourage you to try and least a few matches. People are exaggerating how bad the buffs and nerfs are.

Do the gens literally take the same time? Do you literally not see legion and plague more often? Literally?
I've seen a few Legions but no Plagues. I dealt with them the same. Don't waste too much time healing and stay out of range of Frenzy. The extra gen time and thank buff is noticeable but not all that impactful.
The game still plays the same. It's not a big deal.
-
Been playing solo all day. It's literally the same unless you relied to heavily on the meta.

If you play swf that does not count. Only soloQ was nerfed but swf remain as strong as ever.

I think the new players will have an advantage because they'll learn to play without the old crutches. People were way too reliant on iron will and dead hard.

I've played 7 survivor games so far. Only died once to a camping Nurse. The rest were all 3 and 4 man escapes. I never played with many 2nd chance perks so not much has changed for me.
The game seems pretty far from destroyed imo.

Killers that need to tunnel have a lot of room for improvement. Any "get good" argument used against survivors is usually ten times more true when applied to killers.
If a killer's go-to tactic is tunneling then I agree. However there are certain situations when it's the best move and fully justified.

I don’t need to improve, I have 5.400 hours. I need to have fun, and this is exactly what I have. My surv queue is about 5-10 secs, so if I start a match and I see in the first minute a killer who would sell his mother to win, I let him do it
If you're getting tunneled so easily I'd say you have a lot of room for improvement.

@dictep said:

The best solution to campers and tunneling is give up yourself. Run toward that killer and let him kill you. You don’t need to play with him. Go to the next match. If he wants easy game give it to him
Yes! Never try to improve! Throw the match! Screw your teammates! This is the "always say die" attitude that so many lack!

With BT both basekit and still available as a perk giving endurance plus a speed boost and having the option of Off The Record for 80 seconds, and exhaustion perks being ready immediately off the hook there is no excuse for not being able to make it to relative safety. With all of that, keeping DS at 5 seconds seems unnecessary.

This is something I've been thinking about lately. It has really bummed me out that we are just told way in advance what the next chapter will be if it's a big time license like with Sadako and Nemesis. I remember when a new chapter was coming out that we assumed would be licensed, it would be fun to guess who it was until the PTB. I understand it's nice to know what the chapter will be, but I feel like some of the hype is lost when we basically know what's coming far too early.
I don't mind learning in advance, but I do miss getting to speculate and hunt for little clues and whatnot that the devs leave for us. Putting together the pieces for Oni and The Cenobite were a blast.
Leaks ruin it though and that's why I wish BHVR wouldn't try to keep everything such a secret. Like right now there's a big possible leak out that I won't mention. They could come out and and give a yes or no or start leaving clues pointing to a yes or no so that we come here and to the game instead of going to leakers for information.

It's alright but there's just one season right now and more familiar names are coming to season 2 like Ada Wong , it took a couple of episodes to get me into it but once I did it's really not bad and it goes into Wesker's backstory
I'll be sure to watch it as we get closer to the Project W Chapter release.

I'll bet the new resident evil chapter is the Netflix version, that would explain the rabbit because in the series Wesker is testing animals and cages of rabbits are there, and we've already confirmed they're doing another RE chapter with Project W

-
@Nathan13 said:
Bunny Feng will be the next killer.
Depending on your perspective, she's been a killer all along.
-
It could be a modified version like the basekit BT will be. Something like blocking the generators closest to the survivors for 45 seconds. It would prevent survivors from 3 or 4 man rushing a gen before the killer can even make it to the gen, 45 seconds wouldn't be oppressive by any means, and it could give the killer a rough idea of what area they need to go toward to find survivors.
Running CI could modify this effect to last longer or until first down, maybe even change it back to being the 3 farthest from the killer or make it so the killer doesn't know which gens are blocked unless they bring CI. Or it could be completely reworked.
-
I think they should have either reduced it to 100% max regression OR had it deactivate on first death. But doing both was overkill imo. Especially considering that one of the main selling points for Ruin after it was reworked was it being "insidious" perk in the "late game".
-
I play both sides. That's not tunneling. The survivor used their BT offensively as if they were healthy. They weren't interested in getting distance. They wanted to protect their rescuer and were hoping you would play by the "rules" and let them go after hitting them. They made themselves a target and that's their own fault.

Agree there is way too much sass around here. Lighten up people.
I think we need at least 20% more sass. These are rookie levels of sass.
-
It doesn't sound like it should be a problem since there are counters to all of it. You can heal/cleanse to counter thank and as survivors die it weakens so it isn't overbearing in the endgame, and pentimento totems can be cleansed easily.
Yeah, you're going to have to do more than hold M1 and loop the main building now. That's the point of these changes and it's the fun part of the game.
-
IMO they aren't healthy. The last 2 weeks when everyone was using flans instead of maps it was great! Now we're back to regularly being sent to Coldwind and Mount Ormond. It's boring.
