  • No, sabo is fine and is normally easy to deal with. Plus, it means that you were off generators for long periods of time, so I definitely wouldn't complain about it if I were the killer.

  • Nea has the worst prestige outfit. She's my main survivor and it's incredibly disappointing.

  • Good

  • Yeah, I've been wanting this for a while. Fire Up + Brutal Strength is one of my favorite perk combos in the game, but I haven't been running it recently because it feels just a little too weak. Boosting it to 5% per token would be great. That tiny extra bit per token makes a huge difference after a few gens have popped.

  • It's a hex perk that makes itself obvious at the start. Survivors just need to tap a gen to see if ruin is in play. I'd be surprised to see it be active for more than a couple minutes, which may not be enough to get proper value out of the perk.

  • I get fun out of trying to win, so I guess it's kinda both? It's weird, because some games I get stomped and have fun, while others I can get stomped and have an awful time. I guess it just depends if I failed because of stupid or frustrating mechanics or because of my own misplays

  • Hag! I love predicting where survivors are going to go, and being rewarded for that. However, sometimes I just get a bad map and competent survivors and it's no fun. I love a challenge, but Hag's limited teleport range takes away most of her map pressure on large maps.

  • Happened to me earlier. The survivors were really ######### afterwards too, and combined with some recent events that have been happening with me irl, I mentally broke down because of it.

  • I'm happy with the ruin change. I think that it needed to come alongside a base-game change, but since I don't even use ruin, it doesn't bother me as killer.

  • Hag. I'm a hag main, and it's always fun to see what other hags do.

I don't remember the last time I was impressed with one I faced though. They almost always run rusty shackles, mint rag, and/or MYC.

  • It's a tough decision between SB and Dead Hard, but DH takes the cake. It allows a good survivor to fix one mistake while looping and take an extra window or pallet.

  • Clown's power at the very least causes pallets to be dropped early, but if a survivor is in a decent position, it's almost impossible to chainsaw them as Leatherface.

  • I think that's just how it is at the moment, especially if you're in red ranks

  • Anger Management - Getting hooked pisses you off, and you can use that anger to your benefit. After the first time being hooked in a trial, gain a permanent 3% haste effect and become broken for the rest of the trial. Groans made from injuries are 50% louder.

Get In the Groove - It's easy to complete a task once you really get into it. After 8 seconds of healing, sabotaging, cleansing, or opening an exit gate, perform that action 50% faster . This bonus resets whenever you stop performing any action.

Observant - You have are excellent at reading other's abilities. Whenever one of the killer's perks active, trigger, or gain a token, this perk becomes active for 5 seconds.

  • I like to run Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, and Fire Up all together, so yes! The vault speed from Bamboozle and Fire Up give me a lot of hits that I wouldn't normally get, even at TL walls.

  • Against good survivors, too big of a map will destroy her. The cornfield maps are probably her worst maps, and survivors need to play pretty poorly to lose against any hag there.

  • Since we are now getting events through the Rift, what are your plans regarding the firecracker items?

  • Hey! I thought I'd bump this so more people could see it. I'd like to see everyone's thoughts on this idea!

  • I'd say no. Being one hit from downed, loud, and bleeding is enough of a punishment for being injured. If your addition didn't come along with a rework to thana, we'd see a lot more killers running that and causing gens to take over 100 seconds to complete. It would be like Forever Freddy, but for every killer, and that would suck.

  • How old are those videos? The game has changed, and the way the red light works has changed a little over the years.

  • I only ever run it if I'm running a specific build that is only made out of chase perks. Brutal Strength, Fire Up, Enduring, and Spirit Fury. It's kinda fun, but it feels so cheap. I have been thinking about running SF without enduring, but I haven't gotten to trying that out.

  • I rarely get matched with red ranks when I solo queue, and I get the same killers that I do when I solo queue when I queue up with my green-yellow rank friends. Plus, it always takes at least three minutes to get into a survivor lobby.

Killer queue times are pretty great, but I keep getting sub-par teams. It's like I'm in purple ranks. I can't play hag without stomping everyone, which is no fun, so I just play Legion instead. I like a challenge on killer, and I'm not getting it very often.

    It sucks.

  • Here's a tip from my anger management course I took in high school:

If something is pissing you off, look away from it. Even just turning your head from the monitor can help you calm down.

I also find that taking a break and doing something else, or even trying something stupid but fun in-game can make me less mad. I do suggest having a side game that you can hop on and off of though, like Trove or Mario or something. Diversifying your gaming experience also helps you focus less on your losses

  • I've recently been running Enduring, Brutal Strength, Fire Up, and Bamboozle. I don't think I'd call it a good build, but it sure is fun as hell

  • BBQ and WGLF. Running builds without BBQ feels pretty ######### to me since I'm missing out on 2x bloodpoints any game I don't have it on. Plus, survivor bloodpoint gains are still too low, and having WGLF or something similar be baseline would be nice.

  • Maybe try to think of something related to music or instruments

It's worth doing it for the more enjoyable games in lower ranks and better queue times.

The only problem is, you will probably rank up very fast again anyway.

Yeah, that's my main worry. I'm afraid that I'd only get a few good queues before I'm back at red ranks again because that would just be a waste of time

  • The spiky metal jacket, bloody pants, and groomed beard for Jeff

  • I'm fine with the ruin change, I just want the gen regression cause by the perk to go down to 100% and make it not a hex perk.

  • I am pretty bad at looping decent killers. I tend to trip up at simple mindgames, and while I can easily recognize what tile I'm going into and what should be there, I struggle to actually press the right buttons and react to things in time.

In general, I know a lot about how a game works and what I and my team should do in any given scenario. However, just like in Overwatch, HotS, and any other PvP game I have played, I lack the mechanical skill to pull it off properly. I'm pretty good at doing things properly as killer, but I still make dumb mistakes like flicking into a wall in Feral Frenzy when the survivor I was right behind was just running in a straight line.

  • @Xerge said:

It would be better to remove the hex aspect from it, increase gen regression by 4% and decrease it by 1% everytime a gen is done. That would make it strong at the start and weaker late in game. Sounds more viable and useful for killers, considering ruin doesn't last more then two minutes. I would also remove great skill checks from generators and simply put skill checks that avoid the explosion.

By 4%, do you mean 400%? That may be a bit too high. For every second a survivor is off a gen, they lose a second of gen progression. I can't say for sure if that's too extreme without testing it, but it does sound a bit too strong at the start.

  • Devour Hope and Ruin can be fun/useful depending on your play-style and the killers you play. I wouldn't get her with shards unless you actually want to play her though. I personally like her a lot, but a lot of people don't.

  • I guess anyone with a different opinion than you is a survivor main? I play Hag and Legion at rank 1 all the time without ruin, and I tend to do just fine and have a great time doing so. The perk's pretty useless against the teams you need slowdown against the most, so why should I even bother with it?

  • Hell yeah! The ruin changes are great, and we already have a more consistent perk for the start of the game that tends to work just as well on average: Corrupt Intervention. Ruin's changing to become a perk that heavily awards your gen pressure instead of something you throw on and pray that it won't be cleansed immediately. Plus, it's now less of a noob-stomper since players that are bad at hitting great skillchecks won't be heavily penalized for it. Plus, players that are great at hitting greats can't just completely ignore the perk anymore, making it more useful against the most skilled survivors. It's a positive change across the board imo

  • I used it in red ranks a couple days ago, and I got some value out of it from purposefully swinging too early at a pallet to trick the survivor into thinking they get another loop. That's really the only practical use you can get out of it.

  • I think that's just a visual bug

  • @Hoodied said:

Why do we not have a perk that increases the healing speed done to you?

Like if a survivor heals you its quicker?

Actually, Leader is this exact perk. You should try it sometime, it's pretty nice

  • I'm a hag main myself, and I can't find any popular streamer that mains Hag. I don't know if there are any

  • I've been playing Legion, but they don't seem to get much deviousness. They do pretty well with brutality though, so you can have quick games with a good chunk of BP.

  • The main reason ruin is so good is because it's one of two perks that slow gens and apply pressure on survivors at the start of the game. The other one is Corrupt Intervention, which is also a very strong perk (and one that I like using much more). Running neither will probably net you a 2k at best if you're a low teir killer facing the best survivor team, and I'm not sure if that counts as being "viable".

I play Ruinless Legion a lot at red ranks, and if I ever chase someone for a little too long or make a couple mistakes, I easily lose or tie the game. Ruin or CI would make my games much easier (unless ruin gets popped instantly), but I have more fun running other builds.

And what about windows of oportunity? seems useful and no occasional like the anothers.

WoO is very good for players that don't know the locations of the vaults and pallets in the map. It's even useful if you are a seasoned survivor because it can tell you that there isn't a pallet at that location, giving you a chance to re-route

    Solidarity is underrated.

In this "healing takes too much time" meta with We'll make it is really good !

Solidarity is definitely solid, but I rarely find myself healing someone while injured. Poised can also be useful, but I also barely get use out of that perk. I still like running either one occasionally just to try to get value out of them

  • Jane's best perk is Head On because her other perks are way too situational, but both characters do have some useful perks.

  • Something like average rank -2 or something would be much better than shoving everyone into red ranks. A 4 and a rank 16 survivor should be paired up with someone the 16 rank survivor won't get demolished by and someone the rank 4 survivor won't stomp.

  • Definitely if they reduce the EXP required to get a fragment. If they don't, I'd have to see what cosmetics they have to offer. If there's anything like the blue Nea hat at lvl 58 of this rift, I'll probably end up getting it if I don't burn out.

  • I ran it on Legion, and I had some pretty good results from the perk. Against good survivors that run either Dead Hard or Sprint Burst, taking away the strongest re-usable perk in their loadout is a huge benefit. Sure, you'll get games where very few people even have exhaustion perks, but you should see a lot of value from it in most games.

  • Legion needs some sort of chase utility with their power. The 4 second cooldown is too long to close distance with the speed boost from FF, and the only time their power can be useful in a chase is with the Iridescent Button addon, which is an ultra rare. If they were to reduce the cooldown and/or have pallets break whenever Legion vaults them while Killer Instinct is active (which becomes active when you hit a survivor in FF) by default, I think they would become a decent, fairly balanced killer.

  • My Hag build is BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, Agitation, and Mad Grit. I have a lot of fun running those last two, but if you can swap out Mad Grit for something like Sloppy Butcher, Surge, or PWYF.

  • I'm at red ranks for both survivor and killer, and I rarely see a red rank killer as survivor. I'd imagine it has something to do with the emblem system

  • I recommend that you prestige your favorite characters, get as many teachables that you can, spend bloodpoints on your favorite killer to get all the perks, or get everyone to level 50. All of those would be worth your time imo
