Without a pallet very near by, there is absolutely no way to avoid being downed in one hit by Leatherface if he is chasing you with his chainsaw sweep. It lasts FOREVER. Why is this a thing? Why did you guys double down on all the things that make him unpleasant and campy, instead of properly remaking him?
Forever? Wow.
Today I learned that six seconds is "forever".
-
It actually SHOULDN'T be "fair and balanced".
Killer perks need to be much, MUCH stronger than Survivor perks. Four times stronger, in fact.
A Survivor Team brings SIXTEEN (16) perks to the game.
A Killer Team brings FOUR (4) perks to the game.
So when Survivors do something like cleanse a Devour Hope, it is not the same thing as a Survivor losing one of their perks because of the 4:1 disparity. That Killer just lost 25% of his entire loadout to a single cleanse.

A team of Survivors (probably swf) brought an offering to Midwich.
One guy brought Object of Obsession nd immediately started tea-bagging.
I played Huntress.
Complete disaster took a place. I burned out. Help me, please.
Welcome to Hell.
There was nothing you could do. Honestly, bravo to you for not just clicking LEAVE MATCH after the first 30 seconds. Midwich is not fun for me under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, let alone with an Object of Obsession on a Huntress.

Bhvr: Makes Undying not ridiculously OP vs solo survivors.
Killer only players: OMG survivor sided, even though we're getting big buffs to Clown, as well as some nice minor ones to Trapper, Legion AND Wraith, who we want to be buffed!
Bruh.
A tiny ass speed boost you have to time perfectly to avoid Survivors getting the benefit of while needing to remember to change bottle types to go back to dealing with Survivors..... this is a "big buff" to you?
Bruh.

I don't get the hate, either.
I think my only complaint would be the portraits look generic, meaning our cosmetics won't matter so my Meg won't actually look my Meg portrait.

According to the last posted statistics of SWF they make up 43% of the playerbase.
Mind you those statistics are very old now but idk where you're getting the 4% from.
If you have something more recent I'd be happy to see it. 43% sounds ASTOUNDINGLY high.
-
Legion is doing well right now. Had a bit of a rough patch at work, and some relationship troubles, but okay! Thanks for asking.
-
Because according to the statistics only 4% of players are SWF.
That means 96% are not.
Sooo.... they are making changes for 96% of gameplay.

Apply directly to the 4head.

I don't need only one side's daily rituals.
I need more than one "swipe and replace".
These tasks are NOT equal. You cannot seriously compare "get 4 Tier ups with Myers" with "nail four demon dashes with Oni". Those are not anywhere CLOSE to the same level of difficulty.
-
I hear they will stay on the same generator for OVER A MINUTE.
Devs, plz fix.

Standard Survivor Mindset:
For Themselves: "Why wouldn't I use these Perks and Keys and Flashlights? They are in the game to be used!"
For Killers: "Iri add-ons need to be removed. Also, any Killer that runs any perks at all is a trash killer."

Oh yeah, the insane grind that everyone that plays this game is aware now will be over thanks to 3-4 bloodwebs per month, how generous. If you get happy with crumbs, good for you. The rest of us can think a little better and demand QoL for the game
The issue with the grind goes beyond rank rewards.

It's not free, we paid and pay for the game. We as CUSTOMERS have every right to complain about BS that they throw at us.
Also, do you gain BPS for white-knighting for BHVR?
"Free bloodpoints?! How dare they throw this BS at us!"
Do you need to speak to a Manager?

Their not free rewards, you have to grind to get the rewards lol
They are free. You are playing the game normally. You are not going out of your way to do anything you were not already.
-
I just wanted an animation timer.
It doesn't even have to be new. Use the chest unlock one.
Keys should not be instant.

"These free rewards aren't big enough!"
This community is reaching new levels of entitlement.

The best killer buff we got was the hook tracker.

"I hate Franklin's Demise because it does exactly what it is intended to do and I love using Keys and Flashlights."
That's what I am getting from this thread.

The idea of AFK crows. (PainReliever taught me that one)
You can find the exit gates in the Saloon map by looking for the trails of smoke going into the sly. (Otzdarva)
The Twins can detect people with Killer Instinct. (Otz again)
It is mathematically impossible to juke/dodge a Gunslinger at less than 10m, he has to miss. (Scott Jund)
You can vault the ledge at the top of the stairs in Midwich. (Otz)
Whispers can effectively tell you what buildings are clear of Survivors entirely. (PainReliever)
-
Did you even try to break the chase and hide, or did you intentionally try to waste as much of the Killer's time as possible?
-
Survivors like that think the Killer role exists for them to have fun with. Your experience means nothing to them, and any frustrations will be met with "GIT GUD" and complaints about NOED.

Really? I make this long post and you are complaining about the wording. Is that neccessary? I thought its obvious that i doesnt mean pay to win with money. Is my post not clear enough?
Are you trolling me right now?
Pay2Win means real life money and always has. That term/phrase has never meant anything but.

The opposite of Huntress would be Demogorgon.
The four other Demo mains will welcome you!

Those words really get ya, huh?

Tinkerer is one of the few defenses a Killer has against SWF groups that can coordinate distant generators.
Hell, half the time if I don't drop what I am doing IMMEDIATELY they will finish before I even get there.

I mean there are a ton of legit reasons. Maybe your house is on fire I don't know- just if it is a legit reason a penalty probably doesn't matter to you at all. However, 99% of disconnects are intentional because someone is just upset about something.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1853789#Comment_1853789
I mean no it's not. If a killer gets stuck in a generator and cannot move after kicking it; early in the game- leaving and taking the penalty is far shorter than standing there as survivors t-bag you and don't finish the game. So I mean that is absolutely a valid reason to disconnect.
It's a game, they are there to have fun, some with limited time. I am not gonna hold it against someone, from any side, for a reason like that. It would be selfish of me to do so.
Now I kinda wanna see the stats on number of disconnects directly related to house fires. :P
-
The only legit reason to DC is a technical issue.
-
That sounds like a change that would melt the game's base code.
-
Freddy.
I find him boring, and the fact I'm forced to use the 2010 version sucks.
-
Crutch perk?
I am sorry, aren't Survivors CONSTANTLY complaining about "Devs need to do something about camping!" ?
Don't you WANT the Killer to leave the newly hooked Survivor?

I think a locker grab should also be fair game.
Hmm. I think that's an interesting grey area. I am all for Decisive doing what it was intended to do - stop tunneling. I think if you blatantly walked for 10 seconds and got a gen you get what you deserve. Trying to duck the Killer in a locker sounds... hmmm. Nah.
I like the idea of keeping the Halloween scene in-game where Myers enters the closet and Laurie sticks him.

Is that supposed to go against my argument? That's literally the point of Desisive Strike and it's good enough for both sides that it's only one time use.
It buys entirely too much Survivor time for something that goes off so easily. The duration right now is insane.
To the OP, I am not sure if ALL grabs are fair. A window grab while in a chase certainly isn't, but a generator grab is probably fair game.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/216914/change-to-ds
Not to be rude, but this is unreasonable. The stun is 5 seconds, you can still catch up to them if you so it right.
5 seconds of Killer time is 20 seconds of Survivor time. That's a quarter of a generator. This is an often ignored factor of Decisive Strike.
-
Yet another reason to just leave instead of hanging out in the exit gates area like a transformer box behind the school.
-
The only acceptable time to suicide on hook is to open the hatch for your last surviving teammate.
Anything else is selfish cowardice.
Finish your match.
-
@SkeletalElite said:
Opening the gate is a way for the killer to start the end game collapse to put the survivors on a time limit to end the match.
It's not meant to provide very much advantage beyond that.
This. It is so the Survivors cannot get all 5 gens, 99 the gates, and the run around bullying the Killer while farming bloodpoints. A Killer now has the power to say "enough is enough" with the press of a SPACE bar.

The first page of the Survivor's Rulebook for Killers is:
NOTHING IS EVER THE SURVIVOR'S FAULT
-
I love these threads. I get to see all the baddies cry about "kills the Killer didn't earn" using some arbitrary definition of what "earn" means.
What they really mean is "I don't like having to actually leave when the doors open cause I'm not done screwing around."

I smell a Jane main.

How do you turn off SWF? Disable invites?

Decisive Strike.

@Seanzu said:
What is "bullying" in dead by daylight?
Being better than the other player?
Flicking your flashlight?
T-Bagging?
Offensive end game chat?
Using perks you don't like?
Hitting the survivor on the hook?
Having survivors swarm the hook to do saves?
Flashlight saving?
I'm genuinely curious as to how you were bullied, and also - unless you're reporting people for end game chat you can, and probably should just hide it, or leave the end game lobby after the match there is nothing to gain from being there yet people will sit in it and read the chat (and usually reply) and then come to the forums without reporting or even considering to hide the chat and complain about their experience.
Yeah, it doesn't sound to me like you are "genuinely curious", it sounds to me like you want the OP to give the examples so you can try to discredit them as not counting as being bullied to be argumentative.
-
Because they enjoy it. It's as simple as that. It entertains them to make you as miserable as possible.
-
There is nothing about camping and tunneling that need to be "resolved".
There is a saying from the old World of Warcraft forums:
"PvP problems have PvP solutions".
