Tell me you haven't played Nurse without telling me you haven't played Nurse.

Nurse is my main killer... she's buggy as hell and her blinks are hella hard to place. But also knowing how she works, what her weaknesses, etc are, also allows for me to play against her because I know the situations I can run into that's hard for Nurse players to counter.

"Know thy enemy" so to speak...

I do play her and she's hard. I'm not good at her but understand she's hard. Does not matter though because she goes through walls and is hella strong lol.

  • @Mtom912 said:

nurse with double recharge is the most fun killer on both sides cuz its only killer that has true skill expression on both sides, and has the most interactive chase in the game, nemesis & pinhead are 2 of the most boring killers to verse because of passive or rng power that has no skill expression.

    Their normal power consists of

Nemesis - zoning & m2 baiting with situations where you animation lock and get hit, or you don't and just get m1, or if you're not playing for a fun chase it's literally just pre dropping when nemesis is 10m away and hope others rush gens so he can't get tier 2

Pinhead - Hit chain in right place get hit, don't hit chain or in a bad spot drop pallet & hold W (boring) and run them for 3 gens

    Summary:

Nurse = only killer with true skill expression both sides, and is fun & interactive

Pinhead & nemesis = Boring passive powers & powers that just encourage extremely boring chase playstyle, pre dropping & holding W

Again, nurse ignores pallets. Pinhead and nemesis have to deal with pallets and also do not go through walls. With nurse you just hold w and use LOS. If you have fun going against a nurse even though you get clapped instantly in a chase with not much you can do, maybe use that mindset on every other killer. Oh you got downed by pinhead? Well awesome, plus he's from hellraiser so even more awesome, know what I mean? Nemesis brings zombies into the game and that's fun and cool to see. Also why do you expect killers to take skill but not survivors? I mean all my games I go against good survivors ( not every game obviously) and they all have meta perks, dead hard to a pallet and cannot do much about it. When they do gens hella fast and escape I don't say they didn't deserve to escape just because holding a button to do a gen takes no skill. Basically if you have the mindset of not getting upset when you get clapped by a nurse even though she goes through walls and ignores pallets, windows and there's not much you can do even if you use LOS, maybe against other killers you shouldn't be as upset since atleast they're not as strong as nurse and can't teleport through walls.

    1. Nurse chases are actually fun and the thrill of dodging blinks and mindgaming a nurse actually makes it fun.
    2. Twins are annoying to play against because everyone has this mentality that you have to slug and that makes the chases boring and drags the game out.
    3. Pinhead chases, especially with that engineer fang? or whatever it's called that damages you instead of chaining you are boring.
    4. Nemesis chases are BS because he just has this stupid whip that has a range that's way too long, can hit over pallets, windows, and any low obstacle, and then you'll randomly have zombies block entire loops on indoor maps. Once you're infected, his chase is too oppressive and boring
    5. Same applies to trickster. His knives build up laceration so damn quickly and his chases just suck because there's so little you can do.
    6. Doc, I don't care. My only issue with him is how he ruins any stealth play (which there's already not enough of in the game)

Huntress throws hatchets over windows and pallets too but nemesis is somehow different? Now imagine a nurse that goes through walls and pallets?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/307286/unfun-killers-to-go-against

    1. idk why people complain about nemesis or pinhead, they're pretty manageable to go against if you adjust your playstyle.
    2. As to why people don't complain about nurse, the amount of skill required to master nurse is high enough that for me personally, getting steamrolled isn't so bad because I know that Nurse earned it with the time put in.
    3. People are usually mad about the gameplay if a killer, not the series they represent. For some reason a fair number of Survivors find nemesis to have a lame playstyle, but I'm sure plenty of people were hyped to see RE reps in the game.
    4. Most of the time the reason people complain about how "broken" a killer is, it's because they just lost a game and need to find something to blame other than their poor play to not face the fact that they lost.

I mean any killer deserves a kill or win no matter what. We don't see anyone saying survivors don't deserve to escape because they just did gens which takes no skill. Why expect killers to have skill but not survivors?

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/307286/unfun-killers-to-go-against

Because people fall into a comfortable routine running a Myers around the same loop for half an hour or stealthing it out and slamming gens, and really don't like having to do something different.

If you play any of the less conventional killers a lot (Hag, Demo, Pinhead, Artist, Doctor) - you'll see what I mean. So. Many. DCs.

Well yeah lmao your complaints are quite literally either map problems or skill issue, and that is just the objective fact. If you are having such an unfun time with the game, then take a break. This applies to literally anything in life. Killer is still super fun to me, and I've been playing for close to 5 years too now. Killer is still fun for a lot of people. The fact of the matter is, the game has been around for almost 6 years and people tend to get better and better as time goes on. You can't easily 4k as killer as you used to, you have to earn them more. This goes for survivor as well. In terms of strong or broken stuff in the game, survivor has way more balanced and fair things they ever did. Killer also has stronger things they can be using.

The reason most content creators say the game isnt survivor sided is because it is a fact. The game favors the side that brings the stronger kit. If you are playing killer and decide to run legion with a super goofy build, then the team with all 4 meta perks will most likely win. If you as killer play a good or decent killer with a strong build as well, then you will also do well. It comes down to skill and experience. Objectively the game is fairly balanced, but that has nothing to do fun. Fun is something to person experiences and is different for all, and if you are mad or having fun that in a PVP game the other side can win, than take a break. If you don't want to take a break, that is fine, clearly you are extremely mad at the response and help people are providing lmaoo but don't keep shouting insults and petty complaints because you lost some matches lmaoo

If you are legion and bring the most broken shid, the survivor will win. If you bring most broken shid on nurse, blight or maybe doc then you'll most likely have a chance lmao.

  • @CashelP14 said:

This game is balanced at the highest level. Otzs challenge highlighted something that you are seeming to ignore. This is that:

    • Even if 2/3 gens pop in the beginning, you can still win the game.

You dc'ed once it reached endgame. You should've stayed and you could've gotten a few kills.

Also Scott and Otz don't have survivor sided opinions. They have balanced opinions which is why people like to watch their videos.

Also not showing the gameplay really doesn't help your case. I get that you don't want to because of your mental health, but I assume you've realised texting on here probably didn't help it either. We can't tell both your builds, and what killer you were playing. Depending on what these are, you would've hidden a tougher or easier time vs this team.

I'm sorry you had a frustrating game but you should look at it yourself and try and see things that you could've done better. There's no way you can honestly say you had a perfect game.

Well obviously I didn't have a perfect game. Everyone will say that. What's the point of sending a clip? If everyone will just say "oh you made a mistake here, get better" and ignore the bs I had to go against? I been playing dbd for 4 years now and I still need to get better? I don't understand. We all know that you can still win if you lose 3 gens fast but it's still unbalanced and unfun, especially when you have to hope survivors get cocky. Also, why does it matter what killer I was playing? I was getting quick downs and hooks. Survivors got saved by meta perks. Telling me to look at my mistakes is just ignoring the unbalance of the game. Will it always be like that when I lose? Just look at my mistakes? It's an asymmetrical, not balanced, survivor favored, making mistakes is just overkill. Otz to me is acting like the game is fine and fun and is acting like a developer, ignoring all the frustrated killer players that are leaving the game but he still thinks the game is fine? The game has always favored the survivors, now it doesn't?

I want to know if you win more matches or lose them. If you’ve are complaining because in some matches you can’t win but you demolished other survs and you don’t see a problem in those ones

Games where I demolished other survivor? They must be bad. That's an issue with the sbmm ( even though sbmm can't put you up against someone your skill level because the skill of a survivor to a killer is different and cannot be compared) or just the survivors being bad. If I win against bad survivors I know that I only won because they're bad which doesn't make me feel good or like a God tier killer player. I don't win most my matches because most of them are survivors who do fast gens and when I do it's because I got lucky with a ######### up from the survivors

  • @RaSavage42 said:

Maybe changing the way you play will have an advantage

Yea.... Camping, Tunneling and Slugging are good enough tactics but best used near the end of the match (and those things will eventually counter Sabo)

May I ask how you know that the Survivors are SWF... Did you check their profiles? Did you ask one of them in the end game chat?

Swf or not, they were good or decent loopers who did gens so fast and had meta perks just like most my matches.

Dude I been playing this game for 4 years now but man I just need to get better at the game, right?

Well, you can always refuse to improve, but you probably won't have a ton of fun that way. If you were downing them quickly and got many hooks, there's no way they could've finished the gens all that fast. I've played ten games since the patch went live, and the only survivors went through the hatch, but yeah, keep blaming everyone else. You should probably find a different game with that attitude.

It's called infinite hook effect, where you're getting many hooks but they don't die. Dude I been playing this game for 4 years now but man I just need to get better at the game, right? Lmfao. Yeah it looks like you don't have experience as a killer if you're surprised I got many hooks but lost 5 gens, that's dbd survivor sided game for you. I should play another game? ask yourself why I haven't stopped playing or just played other games, though that's none of your business but oh well.

The thing is ppl massively underestimate (or forget) that solo q survivors can also do REALLY well. Sometimes at the night I meet leggit 4 solo q players but all of them are ofc on their own very good players with thousands of hours.

They did everything really well, split up on the gens, saved fairly quick and where doing really good in chases, using loops and tiles very skilled and smart, didnt used up too many pallets, played save and didnt made major mistakes and made it out all 4 or 3 sometimes without much issues. I often ask them and check the friendlist of them and they are mostly indeed all solo q at late nights.

As long as survivors play save and dont do much or big mistakes or throw the game hard then even solo q can beat up your ass its not just swf.

Oh god please stop pretending like you're some kind of victim. You complain that survivors win when you played supposedly perfect. You refuse to accept they beat you at the game, and thats why you come to the forums to complain. You want an echo chamber where people agree with what you, no matter how senseless it is.

You say you were that sabo builds are op? Just slug them. If you refuse to change because you think you deserve to win, you wont ever win

Yes I complain because they "beat me" but the game is survivor sided. They had dead hard which I could not do anything about. I was downing them so fast yet they did all 5 gens even though I was clapping them. Sabo builds OP? Maybe. Could I do something about it? No. They would purposely go down on a high place because of the new boil over buff. Can't slug because they weren't together. I slug the person I'm about to hook because another survivor sabos? Well the other survivor runs away. I camp? 5 gens done. I was sweating, frustrated, they dead harder to pallets and destroyed me with that. Not survivor sided tho huh? Did I come and complain in the forums because I lost? Yes 100%. But if that bothers you so much, which shouldn't because killer is frustrating and you should know that, maybe don't come to the forums?

It just sounds like you need more practice and time in the game. Take a walk, cool down, and figure out how you can play better instead of just blaming everyone else. If you put the time in, the game definitely favours killers right now. I'm certain that the majority of the games you lose are your fault.

It favors killers? Well that's not gonna make me better. I literally said the survivors did fast gens, I downed them quickly, got many hooks, they used dead hard and there's nothing I could do about and you still say I lost because it's my fault? Wow...

I won't win? I have won, but had to sweat. sabo builds op? Maybe. Could I do some about them? No. I slug? The survivor will get picked up. If I chase the person that sabos, they'll run away so I can't. Also, the survivor would go down at a high place because of the boil over buff, making it almost impossible for me to hook them. I come to the forums and complain? Yes ofcourse. Am I a victim? No I'm just a frustrated player. But ofcourse you defend the survivors even when the game favors them. There will always be people like you who act like the game is balanced. Then start winning, if you want high BP, play like you do deserve high BP. Why would the game reward you with currency for losing.

Hook them before the sabo happens, down the saboer, wait until the hook fixes itself. There are many ways to turn that into an advantage. If you want to be rewarded, work for it

"Hook them before the sabo" wow thanks for the tip OH WAIT it doesn't work. Why? Because the survivor is faster and will sabo the hook before I make it. I slug? Well the person who sabos hooks will run away. I pick up? They wiggle faster cuz I dropped. Nothing you can do about it. Even worse if they have breakout.

I'm not sure if making the argument that playing with your friends is cheating is a wise one.

Instead of declaring it cheating, maybe we should balance the game but idk that sounds kinda crazy

Its not cheating, they're allowed to play with their friends, but we agree that swf is still strong.

  • @konchok said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2771600#Comment_2771600

See this is the real issue I believe. You can't admit to yourself that you made mistakes and that the other group was better. So you go to the forums to complain about SWF and survivor.

This right here is exactly why LMFAO. If I don't send the clip then I don't own up to my mistakes even though survivors were using meta perks and doing gens quickly and making mistakes is just overkill. But if I send the clip you will always find a mistake, I know the outcome and that's not gonna make me wanna send you a clip lol. If the real issue is just me not looking at my mistakes, then the game is balanced and fine? Also, they played better than me? How so? I mean they're definitely not better than me because we're not playing the same game. You cannot compare the skill of the killer to a survivor because both roles are basically different games. Is the survivor better because they're looping me at a pallet that's good for them?

  • @Xendritch said:

It's not really survivor sided at all if anything it's map sided as generally whoever the map favors generally does better but the game is wierdly almost balanced in it's own messed up way of both sides having insane BS.

I mean I lost 3 gens in less than 3 mins on dead dawg saloon, the best map for killer, small map, is it really a map issue or an objective issue? Think about it. It's so easy to do a gen that you just have to hold a button and that's enough to make a killer sweat. It's just a lazy idea of an objective

  • @konchok said:

Erd69, post a video of one of your games.

That's the issue, I don't want to. It's not good for my mental health. I don't wanna hear people say "oh well you made a mistake " when I'm literally trying so hard. Or people saying "you should've played better". The game is already frustrating enough and I don't wanna get even more angrier lol

  • @Meedas said:

I understand your frustration, but there are certain ways to handle situations once they happen in the game. Here are a few examples:

Boil Over / Sabo Team - If you run into a team that is using Boil Over / Sabo and you can't get them hooked, just start slugging them. Slugging may sound harsh to some, but it's a valid strategy in certain situations (like this one). Once you start slugging, it will add gen pressure as they will be too busy trying to heal instead of doing gens. Eventually, once the team uses up all their unbreakable or second chance perks, you'll have them all slugged and will be able to hook them.

Flashlight Team - If you run into a team that is using multiple flashlights, the best solution to this is Lightborn. Once a survivor realizes you have Lightborn, and they're unable to bully you with their flashlight, you should be able to play as normal without any issues. Also, I noticed a lot of Flashlight SWF squads will DC a match once they realize you have Lightborn as a perk.

I'm not sure why you having an issue with Dead Hard as it only activates once per chase and it's possible to mind game a survivor into wasting their Dead Hard. If you're having trouble catching a survivor because they are a good looper or have great pallet/map knowledge, break off chase and go back to gen patrolling. Don't waste too much time on catching one survivor.

Oh thank you for the tip, but in this case slugging, tunneling nor camping would work. If i dropped the survivor then the other survivor will run away and I cannot chase them because the slug will get up. At this point im just looking for ways to have fun.

    115% Movement Speed

    24m Terror Radius

    Average height

    Power: Break In

    Special Ability: Hide

Hold the Power button to hide, whilst hiding you move at 90% movement speed and your terror radius decreases at a rate of 4m per second. When coming out of hiding you gain a movement speed boost of 5% for 0 seconds. For every 2 seconds you are hiding your post hide boost is prolonged by 0.25 seconds. Hide can be activated for a max of 30 seconds. The power meter slowly recharges over time at a rate of 1s per second. You can hide once the power meter is a quarter full. Whilst hiding you can perform a Warning Hit.

    Special Attack: Warning Hit

Whilst hiding press the attack button to perform a Warning Hit. A warning hit acts like a basic attack but your lunge is significantly reduced (about half a normal lunge). Hitting an injured survivor with your Warning Hit puts them into the deep wound state. If you can perform a Warning Hit you can not perform a basic attack.

The Stranger comes with 3 unique teachable perks:

    Prey at Night:

You grow in power knowing that your prey doesn't see you coming. If you are effected by the Undetectable status effect your lunge distance is increased by 6/7/8% and when you no longer have the Undetectable status effect your terror radius is increased by 8/9/10 meters for 6/8/10 seconds.

    Intimidation:

You know your prey has no chance of fighting back and you make sure they know it too. When a survivor stuns or blinds you they suffer from the Exposed status effect for 6/7/8 seconds and will scream if you lose them in a chase within 20/25/30 seconds.

"Are you gonna shoot me?" -Dollface

    Torment

When you inevitably overcome your prey, you add insult to injury. When you put a survivor into the dying state they recover 10/12/15% slower for 18/19/20 seconds and you recover from your basic attack 6/7/8% faster and you gain a movement speed boost of 3/3/4% for 4 seconds.

"Why are you doing this?" -Kimberly "Why not?" -Dollface

This chapter will add a reworked version of the Backwater Swamp realm as a part of the realm beyond updates and will add a Man in the Mask legendary skin for The Shape. This chapter won't have a survivor like the ghostface and leatherface chapter.

Let me add something here. Adding the man in a mask as a legendary skin is a terrible idea. They're not eve from the same movies and are completely different. I do not wanna be chased by the man in the mask using Michael's chase music. Come on, don't you guys think about these things? Legendary skins for killers like this should never be a thing when they can be they're own killer. Also this chapter should come in with the map from the pray at night film. Stop trying to add legendary skins for other characters like this! I want them to have their own power and be their own character with unique animations and perks.

My idea is way better than this. 3 killers will come in this chapter and they will all do unique things. The Dollface will be able to turn off her terror radious when ever she wants. When she does, she will be able to see survivors through walls at a specific range. She will be completely silent in this mode. She will be able to see from a 32 meter range when in this mode but will be as slow as tier 1 Myers. She can instantly change back to being 115 with a terror radious and no cooldown. The Pinup girl will have a grab mechanic. When she's close enough to a survivor at grab range, press the active ability button to grab the survivor. When you grab them, Pinup girl will put her left arm around the survivors neck and will stab them in the gut. The survivor will be bleeding alot, causing they're screen to be bloody. They will also receive the broken effect for 100 seconds. She will also be able to turn off her terror radious but without being able to see through walls. She will still go at 115 speed though. And The man in the mask. He will be able to instadown survivors with his axe. His normal basic attack has by default an increased lunge. The man in the mask can charge up his axe by lifting it up, when the charge meter is completely full, you will be able to instadown the survivor and you have a long reach with it. You can cancel it when ever you want. You will also be able to lose your terror radious. Oh and I forgot to mention, with the axe you'll be able to instantly break a pallet.

It’s just not possible with current gen speeds if the survivors are any good at looping whatsoever. Only a handful of killers can go for 12 hooks against a good team.

Without corrupt intervention you are looking at 3 gens done in 2-3 minutes. A 40-50 second chase can easily be 3 gens done; and it’s honestly not that hard to do against a ton of killers on many of the maps.

Load into “the game” as an M1 killer and expect to 12 hook? Just lmao. Survivors would not even have to loop, they could just stand at the pallets and still win.

That's why you balance around hooks and not kills. That includes a fix to gen speeds. It's like everyone doesn't listen to tru3, hooks=fix to gen speeds so that it's possible.

Yeah and since new killers are coming into the game, the devs will need to do more voicelines again for everyone.

It's not the same. You don't get penalized for forcing your game to close during the loading screen (my computer turned off during a loading screen because there was a power fault, while I logged back, I didn't get penalized)

And the lock is just temporary, it will be enabled soon.

But then you're gonna open the game and wait a long time to get into a lobby, then into a game to then realize you're getting the same map again... Haha

Well Haddonfield is due for an update too soo... Soon.

Yeah and I hope the map looks realistic

Ah yes, because Huntress grabbing 1 hatchet and then getting 5 makes sense, Trickster grabbing a dozen knives but getting 60 makes sense, survivors being able to survive being impaled on a meat hook multiple times makes sense, and the list goes on.

A dude going into a locker and disappearing doesn't sound too far fetched

How do you compare that to ghostface literally getting into a locker? And people had the idea for Michael to get into a locker when he doesn't even fit bruh

  • @Bluerry said:

what haddinfield needs isn't a visual change that map shouldn't even exist

Instead of saying a map should be deleted, the map instead needs some fixes.

  • Why would he enter a locker and disappear? That literally makes no sense.

There’s people like you on every forum that’s about a complaint, seriously you’re adding nothing to the discussion other than being obnoxious

Because honestly, people like you are seen as a joke. Play both sides.

Every killer can have some form of map pressure that can work well with their power, character or maybe personality. For example Ghost Face could use Lockers for map traversal, possibly maybe even use lockers to hide and ambush unsuspecting survivors.

And again, being able to move quicker across the map is something people enjoy, its why the most popular killers and stronger killers all have some form of map traversal, not only is it viable but it is also fun.

You first need to realize how it's gonna look when ghostface enters a locker to go to another one because that's gonna look pretty dumb. And staying in a locker waiting to ambush a survivor only to realize no one is coming and 3 gens pop...

I do believe all killers should have some form of map traversal, its not fun holding W from 1 point of the map to the other.

Also this is simply a thing I made for fun, I have tried making multiple killer reworks simply because I enjoy doing it, to tackle gen speeds I'm actually thinking of possibly trying to rework how a trial plays out, and possibly remove A LOT of the frustrations that people have with the game

This map pressure things needs to stop because not every killer can have map pressure for the obvious reason that their power or character wouldn't fit it. Ghostface can't have map pressure because of who he is and how his power works.

  • Or just fix gen speeds so that the game is more balanced for all killers?

  • You are a joke and people like you piss me off. You'll be crying when you find out how powerful survivors are lmfaoooo

  • I agree. Farming is boring and all you get is bloodpoints. Why do people care more about bloodpoints than actually playing the game? It's literally just points...

  • I'm glad you're not a dev... damn lmao

Gen speeds are fine to be quite honest. Its YOUR job to create pressure by getting downs and make them get off of the gens.

With that being said. MAPS are the things that are NOT fine. The problem is a LOT of the maps are survivor sided. And you cannot create the pressure needed to make them be off gens. If the survivors are at all competent in running tiles. Hell some maps are so big you don't even need that. You can just hold W..But again thats map issues. Not gen speed issues.

Gens still go quick no matter the maps. If you think gen speed is fine, don't complain about camping or tunneling. Is the Map really an issue when I'm in a survivor sided map and I'm downing them quickly but gens still pop and they escape anyway?

  • Get good as survivor? I'm a rank 1 and you literally sound like a joke to me. Trust me, survivors are way stronger than the killers if they play well. You're just proving to me that you're just a bad survivor, ofcourse killers feel powerful, killers should be the power role. I play both sides, so what I can say is just get good.

  • People complain too much about tunneling like it happens every game

It doesn't even fully counter DS, as it only works on death hook. Mori offerings are borderline useless now.

You don't uses moris to win lmao you use them as just a special kill, like a fatality basically.

I can’t believe there are people like you who think an offering should counter one of the only anti tunnel perks in the game.

There's nothing wrong with ds not working because of mori. Deal with it.

there is no other competitive game that doesn't have a casual mode. There is always a ranked setting, and a casual setting. The only exceptions are battle royales which do not have a ranked mode of any kind in the first place, because how the hell would you matchmake 100 people?

the solution is simple. just limit add ons and items to the white and yellow tiers, boom, instant casual mode. Maybe slow gen and sacrifice speed by 15%. There you go, unranked, casual mode where everything is a bit more relaxed. It could still use your rank for matchmaking, but there would be no reason to sweat. It could prob give less bp too, for the sake of incentivizing the ranked mode, but it 1000% would work and should exist in some form

This isn't a competitive game. This game should never be competitive because it's not balanced, and seeing it as a competitive game is unfair because a 1v4 is not fair, meaning killers should be the power role and survivors the weaker side but have to play smart. I seriously don't know why people can't understand this.

  • It's not that big of a deal losing an item.

Really, that fits Myers perfectly if you've seen Halloween. The thing about becoming invisible that may not be confirmed because it always appears out of nowhere, the point is that it must be changed as soon as possible. It really is weak even though it is my main. Any change for him is accepted.

Yeah but you do know other people can see you, right? And seeing Michael turn invisible is just a nono

Idk about anyone else, but I'd rather have old Billy that had access to instasaw than the Billy now, because at least people ######### played Billy back then. I see Billy one in every 50 games, and there's a very slim chance it'll actually be a good Billy and not a frosty-eye NOED M1lly that doesn't know he has a chainsaw in his right hand. Out of every killer, he was the least deserving of the treatment they gave him.

and I rarely played him pre-nerf, btw. Likely around 5-10 times. I'm speaking from the survivor perspective lol.

Because he has a hammer on his right hand
