youre the type who gets upset when other people put stickers on their own belongings, huh?
Comparing stickers to licensed characters? What's the point of having ghostface in the game of he's not gonna look like ghostface? The Elsa's outfit ruins it lmao

@Lekitzul said:
Actually Im opposite. I dont like playing liscenses because they dont tend to have as many skins as the originals. I cant make them my own. :/
Well licenses don't need much skins. The default outfits are already okay because it's from the movie, TV show or game they come from. Sadako doesn't need any outfits because we all know her with just the white dress and changing it will make her feel different

In the development process of the Ringu chapter, the Creative Team for DBD and for Ringu got together and the idea was proposed by the Ringu team that continuing the lore for Sadako and Yoichi- the one survivor of Sadako- would be the best way forward due to being unable to secure the likeness of the cast for Reiko and Ryuji.
Therefore, it is now canon that in their lives Sadako and Yoichi are taken by The Entity. Why do you think they're the only licenced character to have decently long lore? Everything within that lore is now canon to the Ringu universe.
That makes leon and sadako able to interact with each other, right? Wow holy sh

Is Michael only roaming the streets of Haddonfield? No. Like if you think making a creative choice on a cosmetic ruins the character for you. Then you should be complaining about the others things that do not make sense for his particular character.
You are in the minority on this.
So making an ice outfit like they did for ghostface but now with Michael is okay and won't ruin the character?

To each their own, I personally did not care for the Rob Zombie version of Michael.
As I said, just because they take small creative liberties does not mean they can’t also do additional canon versions of these characters. Especially when if you really wanna get technical they are in a different realm. Not where we originally saw them.
So what if they're in a different realm?
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
You are allowed to have your opinion. I think they have been pretty respectful of the source material, as the cosmetics fall in line with those specific characters entering the Fog… which is essentially an entirely different realm than where they come from.
In other words it adds more lore (if anything) to what happens when two worlds collide.
I personally think it is pretty neat to see. As a Michael main it would not bother me one bit if we got a blighted Mikey. First off the orange melting serum against the white? So cool.
Nah instead of thinking about a blighted skin, it's way better to get rob zombies Michael or Michael from the Halloween kills movie

This is actually true!! In terms of dbd lore, Sadako and Yoichi are canon residents of the Fog, whilst also in terms of canon Ringu lore, Sadako and Yoichi were both taken by the Entity and now continue to exist here. Everything from the Ringu chapter is 100% canon to lore so far and I think that's neat!
Wait how do you know? Fr?

...I honestly have no idea why this bothers you so much.
The 'lore accurate' characters are a jumping off point. From there, obviously dependent on copyright and agreements made, the developers get to have a bit of fun playing around with the character. Think of it more like an 'Earth 2' scenario. A graphical fanfic, essentially.
It's still kinda cool since behavior can even get creative with licensed characters but the ice outfit for ghostface is going way too far, even the blighted one.

Most of the people that complain about stuff like this are ignorant regarding the lore/license holders/etc that lead to X costume.
I don't care about that? Why tf would anyone want a Michael Myers blighted skin? That ruins the character. Skins should be from the movies or the games they come from but the blighted skins are just crazy

What an odd complaint lol anyways
ghostface in dbd isn't the same from the movies, infact the one from the movies isn't even the original ghostface. Ghostface is owned by funworld and they are the ones that approve or give ideas for the cosmetics. It is why some of the dbd ghostface masks are even real life masks now. Nemesis' look wasn't ruined, you don't have to use the cosmetic, and even then capcom themselves approved the skin so now you are arguing that the creators of nemesis themselves are wrong? You are also wrong, it is sadako lol, it is a legendary skin that changes her appearance. It is based off the novel and japanese renditions. Most likely yes people would've bought nemesis if his blighted skin was default lol people have their own personal opinions about things and what they like, hence why skins are made in the first place (which again have to be approved by the license holders lol)
No it's the fact that going against nemesis with that cosmetic ruins the experience

He can say whatever he wants, is a person with zero credibility for me since he choosed auric cells instead of improving the Game :) same as I told about my spanish Fogs, both of them are cowards with zero credibility so...

False.
Before MMR Killers used to have 1 or 2 hard matches (Against godlike SWF or Bully squads) every 10 played. The Game was unbalanced as now, but was by far more funny to play both roles.
What do we have now? You win 2 games and Next 6-7 are omega squads genrushers, click click sabo squads, Boil over and x4 hook offerings squads and every Game is a pain, we must run meta perks instead of our personal build and turns omega boring.
I used to play Chase builds with Bamboozle + Endurance + Brutal + BBQ for points, Now if I use this build i get genrushed every match before I get 3 hooks.
Look top tier players, all of them uses 4 anti gen perks or endgame builds with ni way out and noed, the entire build is around avoid genrush or accepting that you Will get rushed and your Game starts after 5 gen repairs...... and that is boring as fk.
Not true simply because otz and Scott jund say you don't go against a swf every game and that the game is pretty balanced if you just look at your mistakes and get good
-
@NathyP11 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2833452#Comment_2833452
I agree the unbalance was still there but the squads wasn't always. Now you have to run pretty much a set build on each killer to compete.
The focus should be on tiles and gen speed tbh. Mmr will continue to be mmr but fixing the game unbalances will be good for the game
-
@NathyP11 said:
I have just come back from a 6 month break and was really enjoying it again. However, as I have increased my MMR I have noticed the change in how you have to play as killer to have "fun" and not really enjoying it.

Looping is fun, and you are always able to catch them. It is your task to mindgame and adapt your playstyle depending on the map and available tiles.
I play both sides, btw.
Not true nope lmao. Looping may be fun for survivor but the killer is getting stressed. Knowing the map won't do much when the survivors also know it lmao. How about they fix gen speed, tiles and the game will be more fun? More killers every game? No? Lol

Probably because survivors spawn on gens so yeah they’re likely to pop early.
Even if they don't spawn next to them, they can go to one and hold a button. The point is the objective is simple and lazy so they go fast. Also, tiles and perks make it even worse plus holding w

Maps as in maps. It's no secret most maps are huge and too safe.
Gen speeds are fine though. If you're getting downs. Your creating pressure and making them get off gens and you have plenty of time.
The problem is actually getting downs and getting hits for pressure. It's a map thing. Not a gen thing.
Yep I get quick downs and still lose gens. If I need gen defence maybe gen speed isn't fine? Lol

Awwww, did I hit a nerve?
Allow me to address your points, will ya?
Strong Loops are Survivor's defenses against Killer's. It is unreasonable to expect maps to have nothing but weak loops or deadzones. It would be incredibly boring for both sides if that was the case.
DH is not okay, and I don't recall saying otherwise.
Gen Speeds are fine. Making gens take longer at base is not a good idea.
Michael is actually stronger than most people give him credit for. And besides, not every killer has to have mobility.
Last but not least, I don't have to agree with you, and that doesn't automatically makes me someone who wants a, I quote, "frustrating survivor sided game". We all have our views, mate.
Okay but is it fun for killer to chase a survivor at a strong loop and not be able to catch them? You only think about survivors fun lmfao. I mentioned dead hard as an example. Not every killer has to have map mobility but people complain for buffs and that they're weak? You don't have to agree with me but know that thinking like that will hurt the game

Gen speeds are ok. Maps are not. You'll see me mostly talking about how trash maps are.
Maps as in tiles? Lol. Gen speed is not fine simply because of how easy it is to do a gen. Just hold m1 and the killer sweats hard.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2832989#Comment_2832989
You could make an argument for gen speeds being fine, if tiles were less strong.
Jungle gym into cow tree into shack is not an acceptable tile spawn. Killers like Myers basically just have to accept the game is over if they get bad RNG.
Also, remember, gens fly even on dead dawg saloon, one of the best maps for killers.
-
@GeneralV said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2832984#Comment_2832984
Both of those things are fine, though.
Yeah very strong loops, deadhard to a pallet at a strong loop, gens fly and only killers with map mobility have a CHANCE, Michael cannot have map pressure because the characters literally cannot have it because of who he is, yep that's fine, right? Instead of agreeing so we can get a variety of killer in our matches, you disagree and prefer a frustrating survivor sided game

Well, as an opinion that I highly respect on the forums, I will concede to your experience.
I don't play that way anymore, so I know my games are more chill ,but, all winnable.
But, if you face constant teams of survivors with the skillset of say an Ayrun, then I imagine it would be quite difficult. But how do you balance around just these two playstyles alone? And I'm sure there are many more.
High MMRers may have no choice but to play this way, because if balanced for high mmr it would kill the game for chill casual players.
If anything, I'd say adjust gen speeds to correlate with higher MMR players.
Nerf gen speed, perks and tiles bruh
-
@gammatsunami said:
So you want to balance the game around one of the best killers in the world, who most of us probably learned to play the game from at all?
k
The same guy who admitted he'd get stomped and lose his 50 win streak if he goes against good survivors. He's not special. The game is simple and wat easier to get good at than any other game. Any team otz can beat I can beat, which still means we have to get lucky to beat. It's just that otz doesn't complain much about the game because he doesn't get tilted and no one wants to see him get tilted on stream
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
Bruh... Otz plays this game for living... you can't compare top 1% killer to the rest...
By your logic, every killer is dogshit, because top 1% survivor teams can genrush litearlly every single killer with easy (except for Spirit where they have to guess)
Tf does guessing have to do with gen rushing?

@Pulsar said:

DBD isn't competitive lmao
It's balance is reminiscent of Mario Kart.
Did you even listen to what I said? I said why do people have time to get good at games like cod or fortnite (which are games that take more skill) but don't have time to get good at dbd.
-
@MrPeanutbutter said:
Sorry, this is a terrible conclusion to draw. 99.9% of killers do not have the skill or time in the game that Otz does
But people do have time to get good at games like fortnite or cod or any competitive game? Why not dbd? They have time.
-
@Hoodied said:
Did you not see that compared to his other streaks, he got a 20 on Pinhead instead of his usual 50?
Just because you used meta builds doesn't mean you'll always win, the game still takes skill to play and trust me when I say most of the killers in dbd get utterly dominated by higher tier survivors compared to the higher tier killers against higher tier survivors
You are more likely going to 4k with Nurse than 4k with Pinhead for example
BHVR needs to go through and fix all the killers in dbd that simply do not fit with the gameplay now (Pig, trapper, pinhead, legion, Twins, Demo *Probably not demo but still mentioning it*, Ghostface, Nemesis, Freddy again, Michael, Wraith, Trickster, and Slinger) and bring them up to the degree of the higher tier killers, but also work on the perks that people forgot even existed (Lmao ya'll 100% forgot hangman's trick existed, along with many others), same goes for the survivor perks that are also utterly useless and bring them to the strength that the survivor meta holds onto (Nobody uses visionary)
You cannot bring ghostface to the level of height tier killers simply because of who he is. You have a knife and a white mask to work with. All you have to do is change survivor things like tiles, gen speed, perks and after you nerf all of that then nerf killer add ons and perks. Remove gen defence perks and change them to do something different when the devs fix gen speed. Disable gen slowdown perks in the meantime while the devs change them and maybe the game will be fun for both sides
-

That’s kinda on you though tbh. A lot of nemmy situations are just “guess I get hit here cool”
Same with huntress. Huntress lifts up a hatchet and zones you from far away, nemesis has to get close.
-
@Phasmamain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2778162#Comment_2778162
Huntress is only hard to dodge when she reaches her full charge. This gives survivors ample time to find cover. Nemmy in many cases is a guaranteed hits. Sure he has to hit you 3 times but that doesn’t make it any more fun
Now imagine getting hit by a hatchet from across the map. Hella annoying and worse than nemesis 🤣🤣🤣
-
@Phasmamain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2774274#Comment_2774274
Because nemmy has much less windup and more speed while winding up making it a lose lose in a lot of scenarios
But huntress can hit you from far away and nemesis can't. Nemesis has to be close to hit you plus he has to hit you 3 times. Huntress only 2 times so I still don't understand that logic.

Thank you for kicking my ass, but playing in such a way that I know you were simply better than me and earned it. It's a privilege to get to go against you.
Thank you for the times you ignore other's toxicity and continue to play as normal--your level of chill is commendable.
Thank you for the times you feel like giving hatch--I don't ever expect it or feel entitled to it. You earned the hook, and giving it away is not unnoticed.

Did you see the kill statistics DBD posted a few days ago on social media? Nurse had the lowest kill percentage by far (~40%).
When you say that "it doesn't matter" that Nurse has a high skill ceiling, the truth is that good Nurses are actually fairly uncommon, and Nurses who are so experienced that they can take full advantage of her powers to dominate every game are extremely rare. The high skill ceiling does matter, because almost nobody can play her well enough to be the unstoppable superkiller she's become in the DBD player mass psyche.
When I play survivor, I'm never really unhappy to come across a Nurse. The ones who are good only manage to impress me.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2773990#Comment_2773990
Does Demo belong on that list? I could go against a Demo drunk, stoned, and blindfolded. I always breathe a sigh of relief if I come up against one. (Never play him, though.)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2774017#Comment_2774017
Nemesis needs a hitbox buff so badly. His tentacle range is actually terrible unless you've made it to at least T2, and even then, good luck hitting anything, especially if you're playing on Stadia with a controller. Maybe once DBD gets EAC Linux support and I take the time to learn how to use mouse and keyboard, I'll change my mind, but.
I'm saying it doesn't matter how skilled a nurse is when she downs you instantly with not much you can do. How is any other killer more boring than that? Pinhead and nemesis have to catch up and get destroyed by windows and pallets and nurse ignores them. Yes a nurse can take so much skill to play but I don't care when she goes through walls and downs me fast. Also, there's not even many pinheads played, more nurses than him but people complain more about him. Forget the skill, if you get downed by a pinhead and just feel bored or upset, imagine a nurse going through a wall, pallet, window and just downing you no matter what mindgame you try. Regardless of skill, that's overpowered and way less fun to go against than an iconic character from hellraiser (which is hella cool)
-

IRL if you play like an ######### people would hate it and want to not to play with you. The fact that this game is online doesn't mean you're not playing with people, behind the character there is still a person that is trying to have fun, especially considering this is generally not a competitive game. If you can't understand that some things might ruin the experience for someone, then I feel maybe you shouldn't playing with other people but stick to PvE games.
Tell that to survivors. They do not care about killers fun and will just tell you to get good, rush gens and escape with their meta perks. Until then, it's not my responsibility for survivors to have fun, just learn how to loop and avoid tunneling or camping

so nurse isn't crippled by having to go pallet to pallet, versing nurse is way more than just holding W & LOS, constantly mindgaming with subtle movements and pathing at all times, and playing the pallet 50/50 vs nurse makes her way more interactive. Also i literally said in my post nemesis & pinhead = predrop & hold W which will run them for 5 gens, boring not fun
Also when exactly did i say survivors don't need skill? i'd like to know considering outside of forums i regularly talk about how much i despise DH & refuse to use it, and I average 0 objective points in my normal games cause i spend all game running at the killer
Survivors take less skill to play

It's important to know what makes a game enjoyable for all players. If you had a tabletop game and just played like a complete hardass every time you got your friends together, eventually they wouldn't want to play with you. The same thing goes here, if players make the game unenjoyable all the time, other players will leave. You won't notice it right away, but through attrition you eventually won't have anyone to play with.
But the devs will balance the game accordingly or they'll buff, buff and buff survivors until the game breaks lol
