    Thrill isn't a Hag perk, it's a generic.

Hag has Devour, Ruin and Third Seal.

Yeah you're right, sorry I dont look at who they belong to just what they do lol. Not that I see 80% of the perks

  • I'd rather thrill not be a hex, but they probably want hag to be a niche all hex character

Faster Generators can get out of hand really quickly thanks to how big certain Maps are and how bad Generator spreads tend to be

Oh yeah definitely, tbh you dont even need big maps to make toolboxes very strong. Luckily people just dont use them to the full potential or games will be over mega fast

  • @C3Tooth said:

Yes, a team with 2 Brown Medkit and a team with 4 Ranger and Syringe should not exist along side with each other. For me, items cause a bigger problems than perks.

I think item should be reworked like Killer's power. Which is free but only have 1 version: Brown, but weaken. Without addon Items are only good at helping other, not themselves.

    My idea, not going details

Medkit: Free; has 8 charge. Requires a brown addon 3000 BP; + 8 charge, to make it work the same as default Brown medkit. Of course there are Yellow / Green addon that have more charge.

    You get my idea.

Ngl I dont like the idea of forcing a brown medkit to have an addon to heal is a little unfair and I do feel that should be base but maybe a reduced speed? Other medkits definitely need tweaks along side the addons to stop combos for sure

I think less but faster heals is fine.

I'm not sure how I feel about quiet repairs, it's not really that good, but @MikaelaWantsYourBoon 's idea was really good imo.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2940971#Comment_2940971

Well my suggestion wasnt just to make them quiet but to counter notifications so missed skill checks, perks like tinkerer, call of brine etc. But that ruin thing is okay also, I just feel faster gens is abit meh

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Keys, maps, and firecrackers are fine.

Flashlights are the weakest item a survivor can bring unless you're a Hag, Nurse, Wraith, or Artist.

Toolboxes are probably fine. I never really notice a huge difference in the game. I'd rather see 4x BNP than 4x medkits.

Medkits are tough to balance because they're useless if they don't heal for full health states. It's not like a toolbox where you can adjust the speed/charges and still have a useful item regardless. A survivor is either injured or healthy, and the killer's weapon doesn't care that they're 70% healed. I wouldn't mind capping them at 32 charges and adjusting the speed down a bit on the Emergency Med Kit and add ons. I pretty much always take a yellow or green medkit with 32 charges.

I wish I had your experience verse toolboxes lol.

And for the medkits they will still fully heal but highest rarity with addons should give 2heal states max. Having survivors each able to self heal definitely causes issues and a yellow medkit with a brown addon currently gives 2 self heals at a good speed.

I just feel it should be less self heal loads of times and more self heal faster and heal others much faster with reduced consumption rate (encourages team play)

    • keys perfectly fine after the rework, though i think they should have a duration buff so that they're actually useful for aura reading now.
    • maps perfectly, annoying if you're gonna be running a hex build to play against them but eh.
    • flashlights are mostly fine for the majority of the killers, besides maybe the hag. who instantly loses her traps from them, when it should at the very least take up .25 seconds to burn a trap away.
    • tool boxes borderline strong and game breaking. in just how much they can change the macro gameplay. taking away to make repairs faster and instead making them do other things repair related would be way healthier for the game. for saboing they're perfectly fine.
    • medkits are all very powerful at the moment especially with how rampant COH is and how they stack together

    @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Items are fine with the exception of Med-Kits and Toolboxes with certain Add-Ons

Agreed, what about the changes I suggested for the toolboxs/medkits?

You must be out of your mind vigil is useless any real threat to killers are boons borrowed time decisive...ruin thanotopia deadman switch, legions add ons, starstruck, no way out, lightborn, the wraiths add ons should get debuffed, greatly like survivors perks

You're commenting on an old post, and the vigil change still isnt a bad change. The perks not OP but it is still good and useful...

Plus you lost all merit on your opinion when you say stuff like light born is strong lol, come back in a few years when you have learnt more of the game.

Eh, not really. Accounts like that can easily be banned instantly not take multiple days.

Same old utter garbage I'm afraid. SoloQ is borderline unplayable, either you get a cracked Nurse/Blight with the most broken addons and a map offering or an okay killer with absolutely worthless teammates that neither do gens nor last longer than 10 seconds in a chase even against a non-instadown killer.

Killer matchmaking is an absolute freaking random lottery. Most lobbies have incredibly goal oriented survivors (can't recall the last time someone opened the basement chest) so even if you down in a relatively short amount of time, all gens WILL pop and 3 people will get out at least. And then sometimes you see those adorable potatoes that allowed the good old 100 games in a row with hands tied behind your back and blindfolded + no addons and no movement before 5 gens are completed.

I'm playing less and less games every week, once I'm done with the survivor tome, I'll probably won't touch SoloQ until the next chapter.

Shame, but yeah I wont play either it's just not fun as either role.

If it isnt fun I wont play it. Admittedly it's not survivor is unfun it's just limited killers to verse so it gets boring but killer I find unfun so I barely touch it now

Ah yes, generalizing, and making assumptions and accusations is a great defense for an argument. Because Dead Hard and Brand New Parts clearly = perks like Lithe and Kindred.

Good job showing your bad reading comprehension skills.

    @SensualPotato said:

I see you also didn't read the post, since I even mentioned how meta Dead Hard and Circle of Healing are. But hey, nice work displaying your ability to grasp words

I understand your post is pointless and nothing more than a bad bait but none the less I used the same argument for survivors, which dont actually need perks to good chases or work on gens.

And the fact you're complaining about slowdown just shows you arent top level survivor and I explained how that isnt the case and these slowdowns arent freely given.

I'll run perks I want and need to in order to compete and I dont expect any less of the killers I verse in fact I understand they need it because I understand how the game actually works at a high level.

But you do you buddy, enjoying your post and your few mins of bait fame. I got better things to do than discuss an obviously false subject.

  • If you run any perks as survivor you're a bad survivor.

Yeah doesnt make sense does it.

But you're probably a bad survivor if you're getting triggered by killer perks, especially ones that dont befits them unless they beat you and others in a chase, and if they're beating people they cant be bad.

  • I play a killer who isn't blight/nurse and see stacked items with a survivor sided map offering

  • Was fine before.

Only the abusing part in the first change needed the change. I dont get why people say it's hard on controller personally

  • Yes distance should go.

Anyone who says that will kill the perk is just using the perk for it's free uncounterable distance.

It also holds back half the roster

  • Funny thing is like alot of things its still good in the hands of a good survivor and just bad in the hands of a bad survivor. It's good, just not easy and OP.

So many people rush to boon in the open, when in reality you should do a gen and place a boon there as the killer has no reason to go there meaning you sacrifice a small time booning once for a match long effect

  • You mean DH turns into a perk survivors lose within the first few seconds? I like that!

Seriously though, they couldn't really make it much stronger

  • @Brimp said:

Yeah because "skill based matchmaking" doesnt work well in a game of RNG for pallets and window. Thats why you constantly see nurse and blights cause they ignore how strong certain tiles can be.

Oh definitely RNG is a issue but even before that some maps are far to big and just some tiles are too strong. DH is an issue as well, especially now you're matched against similar skilled players and it's far more common to be used

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2929813#Comment_2929813

Well the questionaire at least hinted toward alternative game modes. So there´s a little hope here.

Well I dont care for other game modes personally as that's not what my issue is for me.

I'm not a fan of splitting the playerbase either, but I'll take a non ranked mode. It will suck for some people I verse because I'm good but I want to be able to play for fun

  • @gendoss said:

The revealing mechanic barely worked for the survivors before and it could be extremely frustrating. However barely anybody played as him and while it's technically more fair it's very sad that now nobody will play as him. I would rather the mechanic be more killer sided but have more people play him personally.

It worked most of the time unless there was mega desync, most players just couldn't centre him on the screen 😂

People barely played him because hes just a basic attack killer and in comparison myers beats him in nearly every way.

GF would of personally been better if they focused him on hit&run and gave him a nice meme scratch mirror build like myers to create that niche jump scare build

  • Doing 5 gens,10min chase and getting a hex all in one trial

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/321234/sbmm-changes-did-nothing

Something is a bit iffy recently for sure, but I think that's a lot of people coming for the bonus archive stuff leading to more backfill, and thus more chaos.

    I know I've just gone between a 4500 hour Nurse, a 120 hour Bubba and a 3300 hour Trickster.

Mine hasn't been like that it's just been consistently the same boring stuff, I just cant play for more than a few games atm

  • Alot is down to sensitivity, this is why it's much harder for a controller player to hit spins as usually people dont have a high sensitivity

  • @Bwsted said:

They made two changes that somewhat cancel each other out.

So, I'm not surprised this is the outcome.

That too, I assumed it would be obvious reducing the cap wont help as itll just push players further down. Top will remain the same

  • @Tsulan said:

The SBMMR changes did nothing, because the core issue is the horrible balancing. DbD is the first pvp game that balances around the lower skilled players instead of balancing around the top players.

Yeah I dont get why, they could easily implement a system which puts new players together, they can add the basic tutorial bots as filler too so they get an idea how to play.

I do find it odd that the top players are ignored

  • @Pulsar said:

I've had significantly worse matches on killer and on survivor.

That's because they have tightened the matching parameters, mine is pretty much the same as I'm off peak time but neither is enjoyable. (Admittedly I can have the one fun survivor game but it soon gets stale when it's only 2/3killers)

  • Before crossplay constantly.

Now I hardly ever see console players tbh they all seem to be pc. I do see the odd survivor on my platform and sometimes I get a message but 9/10 I only get messages as killer

  • @Arbmos1998 said:

Forcing this game to have SBMM while balancing for the lowest bracket skill level it was so obvious this would happen and it is definitely getting tedious. It's super annoying wanting to go for a daily like "Level up Evil With 4 times as Myers", I bring some random build in which isn't meta and gens just fly in 5-6 mins with 3-4 chases max simply because I'm going against the calibre I go against with Nurse and have very very close games either side. Myers cannot compete against this especially when not even running meta gen defense perks.

Then you got the egotistical survivors telling you to "get good" and they say they killers fine because they 4k every game. I don't really see how an M1 killer can "get good" if the survivors just run to every pallet and predrop with 0 negative, force you to break it then they run to another, rinse repeat. There is certain tiles im which M1 killers cannot do a thing about, then of course they use Dead Hard to extend a chase even longer which you have no ability to counter it at all because the devs love to gut the Exhaustion addons. How exactly are you supposed to get good if you are a W walking break pallet simulator?

If the devs are so determined to push MMR they need to start listening to higher level players and not bricks who can't even tie their own shoes.

I'm just bored and fed up. The game is getting so stale and I cant have fun in it.

I dont mind versing blight/nurse, but not all the damn time... and killer well dont even get me started on that rubbish

  • You forget body blocks and syringes

  • I mean its physically the only way they can get kills especially thanks to SBMM, it's how their power is designed.

Twins has to slug. Or get stomped on.

  • People just dont even think about collaborations anymore they just throw everything in, this wouldn't even work.

Teletubbies has a better chance to make it into a horror game

  • Not soon enough.

  • Umm dont force me to constantly play the game thankyou.

Now mmr decreasing, that's something I can get behind. I haven't played some killers in forever

  • You need the challenge equipped to get them.

    They arent yours.

  • Fix DH.

    Fix maps.

    Fix tile RNG.

    Punish camping/tunneling, reward chases/hooks.

Have a fixed pallet spawn rate.

Remove SBMM or make it less strict.

    Buff 80% of the perks.

  • Well from my experience no basic attack killer can be strong when DH and a bunch of safe tiles exist.

But I'm sure it's fun for those people low mmr and that's the aim... sadly.

  • I mean DH should just be fixed. (Remove distance, minimum)

Imo noed is fine, just a shame it boosts killrates which probably hold back alot of buffs due to the average killrates being higher.

If I had to think of a change I'd make NOED disable BT&DS, keeps in line with the No one escapes death. So no matter your perks they wont save you, only skill and coordination will sorta thing.

  • DH is definitely a huge issue, especially when it's used for distance (which cant be baited or waited out like the iframes) but also hurts the already weaker basic attack killers.

SBMM is still a problem though, first of all it's not truly based of skill and second, probably the most important THE GAMES NOT BALANCED. Especially for the top level of play, every other game that has ranking isnt balanced for low level casuals

  • Remove DH distance.

    Instantly a better game

Though the OP's post has some interesting grammar, I think they mean that the killer activated their power, hit them once, then hit them again and downed them from that hit

Well they said they have a video so that's the only way to tell, but I haven't experienced the one hit thing.

Best iv done is hit a healthy player with the 5th hit for an insta down, I'm just assuming OP is mistaken till I see the video to be sure

  • @WeenieDog said:

To me, they come off as regular legion but a little faster. I haven't really used the insta-down that much (but I haven't been using the add on that gives 10+ seconds). They feel better than before at least and my greatest personal wish for them was to get something like the old never sleep pills that made FF faster and they have.

Definitely better for sure, that 10+second one is okay until they know you have it and they can loop you awhile which can be abit annoying lol

Definitely some good changes though for sure

  • His 5th frenzy hit downs no matter what.

Just great so far got 4 matches against tryhard SWFs, 2 on Haddonfield, 1 on RPD (with offering) and 1 on Eyrie. Got genrushed everytime and got 2 kills max. Reaaaally loving it rn.

Well at least I'm not alone lol.

Wouldn't say I'm getting swf or gen rushed though, just the usual high skilled efficient meta players against an average killer.

  • @MrPeanutbutter said:

I already despise playing against him as survivor

Why? Hes still pretty weak unless your team all groups up together

  • @Edilibs said:

If i had millions or billions like these two guys i would buy BHVR then "major" changes would happen!

First and formost Nurse would be reevaluated. Second ALL weaker killers ie everyone outside Nurse, Blight and Spirit would receive buffs!

    I would also

    -Rework Luck

-Buff ALL weak perks ie 80-90% of perks so that people would be more inclined to not "only" use meta perks bc they want to win or at least try to have more variety and fun in general.

-Rework some of the maps so that they are more balanced. Currently survivors have 80& maps in they're favor. I would also tell the map designer to have Trapper in mind when designing future maps.

-The game needs a fresh life and these are most definetly quality of life gaming changes that will be for trhe better. My aim or goal would be 50/50 balance between survivor and killer but 60% survivor 40% killer would be a start until we reach there.

What are your suggestions and what would you do with BHVR if you bought them out?

Fire half of them for lack of understanding of the game and its balance.

Reboot the whole game for better optimisation, start from scratch to make it run better for all players allowing better graphics, FPS and horror settings like weather (thunder storm etc.)

Overhaul all perks so all are useful and not have a stale meta.

Create a better SBMM, one based of skill. Likely massively discourage camping/tunneling but balance so killers dont need to.

Add in loads of setting for controller, keys, crossplay etc.

Make the game free for everyone as it's a reboot, have a wide range of committed players to test and leave feedback. Spend loads on anti cheat

Honestly with that kind of money you can do anything.

  • @Mandy said:

We did not give out Auric Cells for giving feedback on the recent MMR tests.

Yeah, that and there's 0 hooks in the street honestly probably the best Sabo Map even better than RPD, I think tbh.

Way better than RPD, I'm actually someone who goes for sabo saves every day I play (I always bring a brown toolbox in my matches) and its far easier because RPD restricts your movement on how you can get to certain hooks, haddonfield is open and mega far hooks so I'd say easily the best sabo map
