More people need to start doing this, the amount of arguments I've seen about a killer due to the lack of experience they have against them/playing as them is insane.

It's obvious I'm mainly referring to deathslinger here, but this also applies to hag, PH, etc, you know them killers.

Just before I get called out, this does NOT mean I'm trying to say "Oh you're just bad against X killer, git gud". Some killers have some mechanics that are annoying, in fact every killer has something that can be deemed annoying, I hate michael and pig, the killers that are seen as the most "fun" in the game.

But do not complain about something that is caused by your lack of experience playing as or against the killer.

And even, if a killer is annoying you, play that killer and see if you find anything such as strategies, that could help against said annoying mechanic. Don't assume that you're some survivor god who knows everything and all possible outcomes against that killer, as it's likely that there's a main of that killer that knows 100x more than you.

    Yes.

But not just as the killer but also against the killer, not once not twice but like hundreds of times. In other games it is so common to do this and here most get drowned by yelling of op.

Even in the late game where all gens are done and have someone hooked. After playing the game for a while,I realised the best way to get bloodpoints and just have a better score in the end,is to never camp and try to and put as much pressure as possible on the map.

For example, today,I had a match on haddonfield and it was pretty hard for me to properly keep pressure.I just made sure i'm always in a chase and focusing on downing survivors and hooking them, not wasting time breaking chases then losing everyone, because of that,in the end I managed to deny a hook save with 2 survivors alive and 1 injured,by pressuring them to leave instead of allowing them to just heal while camping the hook and let them come for the save with bt,ds and stuff like that.

When I was newer to the game I always used to do that, camp the last survivor and miss out on an extra hook or hit and just lose bps in the end.

TLDR: Camping hurts you as a killer and makes the difference betwen getting a lot bps and piping, depiping.

I respectfully disagree to deny an unhook can be a massive game changer, gens b4 friends? Sometimes with camping you apply pressure on the survivors because they do need to make the unhook, when people fail to do it at the right time it is a mistake and will be punished accordingly. Just an fyi pipping/depipping has never been an incentive to me to change my playstyle at all because rank is utterly meaningless in the game itself. I am sure every good killer has at least a memory of a black pip for completely stomping survivors.

Some survivors do seem to think because you have bt, it is okay to unhook no matter what. Usually goes like this do put somebody on the hook, not knowing whether a survivor is around, leave the area while leaving the area the person gets unhooked and the unhooker is hiding. GJ this right there will be blamed afterwards on the killer when it was the teammate with a ######### unhook and being too stupid to offer a health state of his own. What do you expect killers to waste time looking for the other guy? Please.

Give the killer an incentive to leave the hook, yes sometimes there is useless camping but sometimes it is the right call to make.

Pyramid is doing ok with them. When they look at you from the cage and give away their aura, their own perk brings about their death. I love it. Theres always someone that will farm them just as you make your way over there too so no need to worry about the cage disappearing.

I can see that getting changed though because “its not fair to OoO users” 🙄

So much work, first getting them tormented, sending them to the cage you know that it isn't efficient. Jokes aside, we will see how they continue to change ph, i doubt the threads will die.

Can confirm, I'm a good nurse that has ######### perks yet I can end chases with any person quickly

No worries you will find your match at some point, see nurse isn't unfair, just needs good survivors that actually win mindgames. In general however yeah most people do struggle to play against her.

  • @ClickyClicky

Just practice nurse, any OoO user regrets to bring the perk when you decide to tunnel.

  • Honestly the way this ptb is, they might as well just put it live, nothing is changing with this but the looks of mcmillans.

I run OoO in solo as well. Am I supposed to take It off because I'm playing with friends? Also I use it for my benefit. I hardly give any callouts except for who the killer is. I have to once again debunk all of what you say.

    1. We arent talking about missed attack cooldowns we are talking about cancelling from putting the sword in the ground which has none. Maybe learn to read?

    2. It is how you get hit because hes still gaining on you even with his sword in the ground and range add ons exist. You need a good distance to prethrow. Even then because hes still really fast you are now in a situation where if you run through the pallet you are hit by the range or dodge and get insta canceled.

    3. Once again buddy he has to actually miss we arent even talking about missing its canceling from putting the sword in the ground.

    4. I'm pretty sure that's a strawman who brought botb up? Also why cant you show it are you not good enough?

    5. His lose/lose is what makes him end chases fast he does not need to leave chases often.

Seriously dude you need to look at things objectively.

You have debunked nothing, OoO + SWF is busted af, using it and complaining is hilarious and nothing else.

    1. so how long is the cooldown when huntress cancels? there is hardly a diffrence between the two
    2. you do run sprint burst, pls do not act as if you do not gain distance and have no chance to prethrow that is simply hilarious. he is 115% with no sword in the ground and less with it in the ground, 98% while putting it down and 110% afterwards he can also not keep it forever down. thing is you run the loop with the pallet down, either he can try to use his power which is telegraphed and makes for an easy dodge or continue normal loop either way you waste lots of his time
    3. to miss with his power is nothing hard, unless survivor is locked into animation or tight hallway, it is not a shot from death slinger, it is not a fully charged hatchet, saying it is hard to dodge is hilarious when it is telegraphed the way it is. the only way a survivor gets hit by it when not locked into animation or tight hallway is by making mistakes and that is it
    4. nope it isn't a strawman at all, botb showed that ph is a rather weak killer. unlike you, some people want to improve at the game and thus look at the best players and how they play and adapt. i know this is something you have never done, instead you cry on the forums for help. no worries the devs are there to hold your hand and you got your wish, do not cry further. just don't cry about killer variety, no threads where you cry about nurse/spirit etc... you wanted it that way because you could not be bothered to improve.
    5. yes when going against potatoes no killer ever needs to leave a chase. i recommend you watch the games and learn something but on the other hand, why bother? he is going to be changed and probably just another killer you will not see anymore. good for you.

Cant believe I actually have to argue with someone comparing a braindead killer to a skilled killer here we go.

    1. Huntress actually has a cooldown if she winds down. If she cancels she cant m1 immediately. Everyone knows huntress pallet rev. So the smart thing to so against them is to greed.

    2. Predropping against pyramid head is how you get hit by the range hence the lose/lose. Drop if you want to eat the range dont if you want to wat the m1.

    3. Zoning in the open as forcing you to dodge and lose distance. Granted yes you would get hit either way but it doesnt make it any less cheap. Its still a guess.

Braindead killer, yes big talk coming from somebody who plays swf with OoO, much skill required in the super easy mode.

    1. ph has a cd when he misses his attack, how big is the cooldown after huntress canceling the hatchet? 20s? no? oh
    2. no that is not how you get hit, you get hit because you let him come into range and drop because you got greedy, predrop means before he can hit you with the attack
    3. a lie, you gain distance when you dodge since he has a cd after missing potd
    4. honestly watch botb, take notes what survivors do against him and stop to cry
    5. so funny, the killer you claim forcing only lose/lose on a survivor often has to leave survivors because he can not finish the chase. i know noob killer right? oh wait no, 5k hrs and other similar amounts, ######### magic

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1650319#Comment_1650319

Because the only defense you have ad a survivor (windows and pallets) are a lose/lose against him. Also even in in the open he can zone you into a lose/lose.

This just not true, only if you let it go to a certain point. Do you complain about huntress as well? She can chuck a hatchet in your back while you vault, after you dropped the pallet and while you vault it. Dropping pallet early helps alot, do not give me the "wasted" pallet excuse which isn't one, you drop pallets early against clown too. At the end of the day he is a 115% dude with no mobility and crumbles when everybody does the objective.

What is zoning in the open? Sounds like you complain about getting hit in a deadzone.

I mean the majority about him is lose/lose/tunnel. Hes just a poorly designed killer. His 50/50s arent even 50/50 since he isnt guessing only you are. Also the guesses arent no where near fair and all in his favor. He just sits and reacts.

How is the majority of him a lose/lose? not the case at all

"I literally hope that once bhvr has figured it out, you just end up each game with the situation you hate the most. Everytime you dc, you stay longer out of the game."

I never said I DC'd? Why would you think I did? The whole example I gave was where I was the killer(Ghostface as usual) and someone DC'd on me.

"Until you either grow up or until you leave the game, nobody needs you in their game. I mean it, people who dc should just quit. you ruin games, nobody likes you, not killers not survivors."

I don't know who you think you're talking to mister but it ain't me. I think what happened here is that you read someone else's post saying I advocate for DC and I never did. My experience with DC that I gave was where someone else DC'd to save their buddy, which is why I said that I've seen someone be respectful before by doing it. Was it disrespectful to me? Well I could see why someone would think that. It's not something I do for others and even admitted I was selfish enough not to DC in order to save someone.

You said in one post that people have not to put up with the filthy way a person plays this game but that is where you are incorrect, they indeed have to because that is why dc penalties do exist. There is no reason but the tantrum they throw, you click ready, you are ready to deal with whatever the game throws at you, everything that currently is in the game and within the rules of the game.

The literally only reason as to why a dc would be ok is when you game is bugged and you are stuck and nobody be it killer or survivor can get you out of it. So there you have it, i meant what I said about people who dc in general to me they are a bunch of crybabies and we are all better off without them.

Or you could use his power normally and realize that it sucks. The devs could reduce the cooldown after using it to 0 and it would still be awful. Maybe it'll feel better to use but I don't play PH so I dunno but what I do know is that it's super easy to deal with a PH who doesn't zone. There's a reason why people call any PH not zoning a noob PH. Maybe ppl forgot what the PHs were like when he first came out? U have to screw up pretty hard to get hit by his power.

    "Your whole crusade"

There is no crusade. I was just pointing out reasons, especially one horrible scenario, that you and others support that leads directly to DCs. If you don't like it that's your problem. You keep complaining about how people shouldn't play the game because of the filthy way you play but in all reality no one has to play with you and if you keep complaining about other people not wanting to play with you maybe you should be the one to take a break.

    "Whatever sly insinuations"

There aren't any. I told you why people don't like playing with you. Get over yourself.

"you still refuse to walk away at that point like an adult and simply agree you disagree with the standards"

I did that already in my second post. Then I followed up and did that in every other post sense then. I don't owe you an apology but you seem to think I do, which if anything is a brazen sense of entitlement. You're doing the same thing mound is doing- just repeating the same thing over and over again like a broken record without actually discussing the real points and problems that were brought up. The fact is, whether you like it or not, I presented a scenario where someone supposedly "cheated" me and I respected them for it. The whole point is that the game, by valuing altruism, has created scenarios where it is morally altruistic yet ethically considered cheating to DC. That's where the discussion was initially put at in the first place. Rather than actually explaining how to fix this or even acknowledging it- you and two just keep screaming cheater the entire time. Maybe this is my fault because you seem dysfunctional.

"I'm just going to repeat what I'd already said last time"

I'm not reading that. Everything you need to do to advance the conversation has already been repeated. If you don't like playing with other people and they obviously have a problem with you then you need to reevaluate yourself.

    "grow up"

You keep saying these things that apply to you and only you. Watch this:

"GAWSH! I"M NOT ADVOCATING CHEATING.... IT'S JUST AN INCREDIBLY NOBLE SACRIFICE!!!"

"OH! I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU! I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU!!!"

    "FLIPPING THE GAMEBOARD OVER"

Complete with three exclamation marks. You sound like a child but you expect anyone else to take you seriously? You seem neurotic and you definitely need a break. Probably from internet interactions as well. Again, drop the pointless accusations and debate the myriad of other points that were put to you.

Why do you think dc penalties do exist? I literally hope that once bhvr has figured it out, you just end up each game with the situation you hate the most. Everytime you dc, you stay longer out of the game. Or you end up with the same type of players, everytime something goes like you do not want or they are in a situation they call filthy or whatever they dc, hf in those.

Until you either grow up or until you leave the game, nobody needs you in their game. I mean it, people who dc should just quit. you ruin games, nobody likes you, not killers not survivors.

  • I feel offended as nurse player, i have to step up my tunneling by alot.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

While the complaints around PH's ability to zone with his power and most PH players reluctance to actually use the power were valid, I feel like the devs completely missed the point as to why PH players mostly fake it.

I'm not faking the power because it's too punishing to miss. That's certainly part of it, but the bigger issue is that there's way too much of a telegraph on it and there's not enough flick on it. You can't hit anybody good with it unless they're animation locked or in a choke point. It's a very low percentage power. The survivor only needs to move perpendicular for one or two steps to avoid the attack and PH can't rotate fast enough to compensate.

You can reduce the cooldown on misses all you want, but that's not what is causing me to avoid using the ranged attack. It will always be less efficient to use the attack repeatedly and miss. All the survivor has to do is look at you and stay on your shoulder. They missed the point.

But wait for ptb, so we can see if that is actually true! lul

  • @Han said:

BHVR is trolling again. calling an at best mediocre perk a lose lose situation and overbearing.

Let me just remind you what thana does. In a best case scenario where all 4 survivors are injured, it reduces the healing/gen speed by 16% aka +2,5s for a normal heal. Even with selfcare it would only increase by 5s.

In what world is this a lose lose situation or overbearing??

And let's be honest, the buff to gen speed reduction will be minor, maybe +1% per stack.

Dude who cares? The perk is garbage right now and probably will be garbage after the changes. So I do not use it now, will probably not use it then. DL is garbage too builds which take these perks are mediocre at best. Wait and see, I remember when they nerfed "fire up" for reasons.

    Suggestions for this situation.

    Survivor is running away.

I am in the process of blinking.

They see my blinky fist with all of its angst!

    They run towards me.

I try to adjust my blink.

They run away from me during my committed blink.

Also an advice for blinking in general, you want to aim down so the fist is not blocking your view and flick it up before you you actually blink. This as mentioned has the effect that you have more vision and also make it harder for the survivor to see where you blink to as you can actually see that when looking at her.

Pre dropping a pallet isn't a solution, now is it a counter. Sure you might be safe. Maybe. If his power that can go through pallets to begin with doesn't hit you. The bigger issue with your flawed logic is the fact that predropping pallets encourages survivors to waste pallets and leave their team mates with nothing to work with. Your assertion that SWF w/object is common (I've seen this maybe 1 in 100 games in my over 4k hours of this game, more than half of that as killer) shows how little you know about this game.

SWF w/object is nothing uncommon, i used to run this all the time, @azame is using it right now, a friend of mine does so too and I have seen it several times as killer so please spare me the anecdotes, thanks.

To the point of wasting pallets, wasting pallets isn't wasting pallets when you can actually play the game and do the objective in the meantime. This just shows your blatant greed to waste even more time of the killer as survivor, check out botb rounds and check out what they did with loopable killers such as freddy and ph. To even state that you think it is a waste when you do not get hit because you threw the pallet, shows how little you know about the game and how it can be played. Also have you ever played against clown? Probably not, yet you predrop the pallet there too and literally nobody is going to say it is a waste but somehow against ph it is, lmao.

Yes PH power can go through solid objects but it is being telegraphed, gives enough time to react without hassle. So unless a person is either braindamaged or just really sucks at the game, you do not hit a survivor with it unless the survivor is locked into animation or running through something narrow that they can not move enough to avoid the hit.

  • Gotta love the boosted survivors in this thread, claiming there is only lose/lose situation when all you had to do was predrop a pallet. Meanwhile you play SWF with OoO and think that is balanced.

I have a feeling you don't play survivor much as going down is inevitable, this is not 2016-17 when infinites existed. What if I was hooked near an area with a deadzone, believe me I've seen huge wastelands with no pallets. What if I managed to get to a pallet, barely, and the killer had spirit fury? There's times the survivor can play better but half the time, if not most of the time, there is nothing you can do.

DS helps the survivor survive in specific scenarios so if it is unbalanced, then pretty much every killer perk is also unbalanced but to a much greater degree.

Your feeling is wrong, i played mostly survivor and switched to killer afterwards since i did not want to play solo survivor. Infinites do exist till this day you just have to find them, you want one? kay yamaokes wrath or whatever it is called the map with oni -> check for shack -> sometimes a jungle gym with a long wall spawns and they both are connected via windows, you can loop every killer there aside from nurse & spirit. even when they do bring bamboozle, it doesnt matter as you can vault one window so long for bamboozle to free up the window again. stuff like this still exists in the game, it is a map that is not too old and devs should know better to not spawn these kind of setups but they exist.

well if the killer had sf, he still get stunned unless he brought enduring which results in a free hit and that sir is what you call outplayed.

  • @Dwinchester said:

So with yet another nerf to the killer meta, and not a peep about the survivor meta, it made me think about this.

The whole problem with gen speed and the survivor meta is that when it gets used by a swf with comms, it's nearly unbeatable. Now people try to justify this by using the classic "you dont face it THAT often", even though it does happen quite a lot.

My question is why dont we have that same mindset with killers? We nerf anything annoying, and everything needs to be skill based, because apparently every killer in dbd is otz level. How often do you actually face a godlike killer? One that never misses a blink, or never misses a spirit mindgame, or never misses a shot with deathslinger? How often do you get a 3 or 4 man escape, because the killer is just bad?

Why exactly cant we have a strong killer meta, operating under the same idea that 90% of them are potatoes?

That argument lost all its viability the moment the nerfed the nurse basekit due to god nurses being everywhere with no counterplay and nothing they can do when in reality the godnurse is even less common than the swf with skilled survivors. But you will find people in the forums and in the game that do play the smallpp build on survivor with OoO in swf and think that it is totally balanced. Just accept that most people do not play both roles and are not interested in having a fun game, fun means to bully the other side and that goes for both survivor and killer.

  • @ScottJund

    Hey man,

one thing that really bugged me about your video is that you completely ignored the fact that the killer has to earn pgtw with a hook and the survivor gets ds for free. No, you are picking sides. How does the survivor control who the killer chases? If the killer is hooking survivors so fast then anti-momentum is a good thing to give the survivors hope, as in I understand that is what the entity feeds on. You are so concerned in playing the game on a tournament level that you are forgetting what the game is all about. I've witnessed the bloodbaths with my eyes and survivors shouldn't need thousands of hours with discord to compete against what killers can bring into the match.

Going down in a dead zone with no pallets because of being tunneled is not playing poorly.

    lmao

that is the exact definition of playing poorly, why are you even there? having trouble to memorize where you have to go or what? the bloodbaths xD i like how you completely dodge the question and do not answer what skill ds actually requires because the answer is none. i am not picking sides i am just stating the obvious, pgtw gets nerfed while it at least required you to do something as killer which can really be difficult if a person is good. however ds on the other hand while being the stronger perk just gives you free immunity and rewarding to fail the chase.... it is literally unbalanced, when you can not agree to that or even see that than my dude all your objective game sense has gone down the drain

I have absolutely no idea what people are talking about when they say this. With crossplay I am consistently getting different killers, often several games in a row before a repeat.

Maybe the people who keep bringing up this inane argument just do not ever play survivor so they have no idea what the experience is like.

Also, acting like there's not strong killers other than Nurse is just nonsense.

I actually do play alot of survivor but the killers that i would attribute strong is exactly one and that is spirit aside from nurse. Everything else is just well too lackluster regarding the chase and thus gets dumped on bigtime, feelfree i mean yeah i do see the occasional wraith but he will not play wraith after the match because we kept him in stunlock with flashlights. There is oni, freddy, spirit ofc and here or there are diffrent killers but strong ones? idk why you think that comment is insane pls explain how that is the case. not mentioning that lots of people have not high enough tolerance to deal with all the bugs nurse suffers from.

I stopped playing solo that's why. I think thats where a lot of survivor frustration comes from. You just gotta accept though that solo is pretty much dead and that the game needs to be balanced for SWF. Only hope is MMR, good solo players do exist its just that with so many new players and more importantly the current rank reset system you get all the potatoes forming solo queue. All the genuine good survivors with thousands of hours only play swf now. Maybe if MMR actually works the good players will be put together again like the old days.

Billy is weird. He disappeared for me months before the nerf. Late 2018/early 2019 I used to do rank 1 survivor a lot and there was loads, late last year/early this year though he disappeared and that was before the nerfs were ever announced. I'll just put it down to more options. A lot of people were sleeping on spirit back when billy was popular then she got known as the "high tier killer thats easier to play than Nurse" and took Billy's spot. Then you throw in Oni, Freddy etc

Ah I see yeah, i used to be like that well i think i was even extreme uh, so I refused to play solo at all because of the teammates and even wouldn't want to play like with people I know that are bad at the game because it tilted me too much. Nowadays i am actually able to play solo again, i just basicly do not give a flyin f about anything that happens in the match. I take my fun from the little moments i guess, uh you know when you make a fool out of the killer, trolling him or teammates doesnt matter for me as long as i can lmao. But yeah swf cures alot of suffering from survivor.

I sincerely doubt that mmr will be the answer, i wish that is the case but the time when it was on, i felt bad just for playin and stomping noobs all over the place be it as survivor or killer.

Regarding billy, uh i think he was always balanced and for me know, i dont want to play him not because of the overcharge but the fun part of him was taken to a point i do not like. His roar idk it just feels supersilly and i enjoyed billy because of the mechanical skill he required, what you said is odd cause i only saw the rise in spirit when they changed nurse and most people dropped her and went to spirit instead. Anyway thanks for the explanation, have fun in the fog.

  • i thought i give an explanation to the person that made the post

Then it is your fault if you got hit with DS. You picked them up, you deserve to be slowed down, the perk is actually benefiting the survivor.

You have posted in the past, complaints about killer has to require skill. Tell me what skill does ds require? Pgtw needs to be earned from a killer by winning a chase, downing and hooking a survivor. DS on the other hand rewards a survivor with immunity from the killer because the survivor fails at a chase.

See how broken this ######### is?

  • How many people do not have it? In my last 10 games i faced 35 ds, so please stop acting like that is the case. One could also argue not every killer has pgtw or ruin etc.. there is no point to this.

I know we disagreed a lot before but yeah you're right here lol.

Also this won't be the end of it. Even though control of the chase has now just been handed from PH to survivors, they're gonna keep petitioning for nerfs until they can use DS on cages.

Yeah we did do that alot but you came along way since then, i think I already asked you what changed but I think you just started to play more killer. Not sure but at least from my point of view, you dropped alot of the survivor bias.

Could be that they keep crying, idk, predropping pallets is very difficult. I fear he is going to become just another killer you do not see. Oh well we are used to the nerf spirit threads. Honestly how many billies do you see now? :D told you that would happen

R.I.P. to everyone that faked his power to zone the survivor. Now you’ll really have to M1 or predict your punishment of the damned perfectly.

Nope. It is back to nurse and just less killer variety for survivors.

a quote from dev's "Ruin is used in over 80% of red rank games" <- that was the reason for the nerf. So yeah...

You know first of this was not about red rank matches but in 80% of matches that had red ranked killers. Idk sounds to me there was a reason to use the perk, don't you think?

I'm not trying to fondle anyone's balls here, but the truth needs to be told.

I just watched this Scott's video about a comparision between Pop and DS and I'm afraid to say that I actually agree with almost everything even being a survivor main.

    https://youtu.be/4VT0Ca-nnGo

And in fact I agree with Otz point of view here too.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WVL5XU6H58SS/screenshot-1.png

What do you guys think? Scott even suggests a change for DS at the end of the video too, which would be stopping the timer of the perk if you're in a chase, but also reducing the time when you're not being chased to 30.

You know, pop is earned as a reward by the killer, it is weaker compared to ds, yet the survivor does not have to earn ds, he/she/d gets it for free like how is that fair? I suggest we remove the requirement to hook somebody in order to use pop, maybe make it a hit or something and in return reduce 25% to maybe 15%.

Where are all the survivors who always cry, nerf "insert random killer here" because it doesn't take skill. What skill does ds take? There is a big diffrence between the two and it is completely unfair and busted perk, look at the endgame, when you get hooked in endgame and have ds it just gives a free escape. I feel ds needs another requirement in order to activate besides getting hooked and it needs to deactivate when you either get healed a full healthstate, do cleanse a totem,do repair a gen, unhook another survivor and try to open a door.

Because it is impossible to kick a Gen in 45 seconds? Honestly, you Killer Mains act like if they changed PGTW to regress only 5% instead of 25%. 45 seconds is more than enough to kick a Gen with PGTW.

Maybe you should even try to comprehend otherwise it is just your usual trolling.

  • One more reason to ignore all the killers without mobility.

Well i dont see DS being used in any other way other then from tunnels. Like do they throw them selves at you before the timer runs out?

Nope, they just get downed again before the timer runs out, sometimes you down one survivor, sometimes two inbetween and you still get hit by it. This is especially fun when they wear the same outfit. Most of the survivors do not bring this perk due to tunneling but because it is busted af and they know it. Tunneling is just a claim to legitimize that perk.

  • The dumbest thing about the pop nerf is that this nerf against just hits the weaker no/low -mobility killers. High mobility can check gens in 45 seconds, lets say the ones we do want to protect. What about the others? It is a dumb nerf with no thought put into it and that ruin/undying meta is also only viable on the high mobility killers, once again bigbrainpower by bhvr.

  • Apparently everytime I do play killer I am a toxic pos that should #########. 🤷

What a miserable day it has been. Had the day off work and spouse is engrossed in a new book.

Decided to hammer out some games today, get some practice in, maybe get a bit better at chases and try and get out of yellow ranks finally.

    Haha...no dice.

I wish I was exaggerating when I say that today has been possibly the end of DbD for me, at least for the time being.

So far today: 6 games put me against 3-4 man groups involving higher ranking survivors queuing with a lowbie. You'd think they'd be nice, have some fun and earn some BP if they were going to do this sort of thing - but no, their express purpose was to get as many gens done as fast as possible and then teabag me from the entrance and mock me in postgame.

Another 5 had me up against 3-4man SWFs, nearly all running Object and every one with full meta perks and insane levels of coordination, meaning that if I was lucky I'd get 1-2 hooks all game.

The final 2 actually felt like my rank, where I was able to get a kill or two, practice chases against people who didn't immediately vanish off into the horizon and finally feel like I was having fun. But...yeah.

On top of this, there seems to be...something up with lobbies. Trying to learn Wraith, but every time I pick him, two or three flashlights pop out just before game starts. If I switch to Doctor - don't see it. Does Wraith have some weird tell in the lobby that I'm unaware of? Or is this just paranoia brought on by a legitimately foul experience?

    I don't know. I really don't.

BHVR - why on earth did you remove killer matchmaking and the matchmaking protections against smurfing? When you can clearly see that it's two or three high rankers and one lowbie (who still has full meta perks and a tricked out toolbox, somehow) something is amiss.

Anyways, yes, cry moar and git gud and all that. But I'm starting to hit my limits here. It's one thing getting outplayed, or having a nice even two kill game in amongst the crushing defeats - however when I'm getting ground into the dirt and spat upon literally every game...it's very difficult to keep on plugging away.

Cheers all, going to go be sad for a bit. I really do love this game - but at present, it feels more like an abusive spouse than a loyal friend.

    • EDIT, and there we go again. I join lobby on Wraith, three flashlights pop out and after checking profiles, two of the people facing me have 1k hours plus. What on earth...?

I think problem is your lack of experience and how to deal with coordinated people, so i suggest you do upload a video of one of your matches against such a squad and i am sure the more experienced players here are able to help you out. Talk about it so you can improve your gameplay.

Been having games like that today.

Jokes on them, I'm practicing Nurse. I couldn't care less how fast they do gens. I'm practicing my blinking.

YES! Come to the dark side, we have cookies! Yeah playing nurse and getting good with her makes it hard to go back to anything else. This is always a valid option.

  • than you are just bad as a killer dude, you can get hit with ds without tunneling at all. props to the rank 20 killer

Guess you have good luck but because of how prevalent tunneling/slugging are, DS/UB became meta. You can deny it and say it doesnt happen to you which is fair sense it doesnt happen to every one. It is very consistent. If it wasn't consistent these perks would not be meta.

lul as if ds is an anti tunneling perk, you like to spread that story when in the game, you can get hit by ds without tunneling at all. so stop to accuse killers for the usage of that perk, it is busted af.

  • No, too many people dc in order to enjoy killer. Ofc that subject was ignored by the dev blog mid chapter garbage
