Here's a game from today;
me and 1 friend playing together, both red (rank is meaningless nowadays buts its for reference.) Queue into 2 console players vs. Spirit.
I loop her for 3 gens, go down. From this point on, the 2 consoles keep hiding and self caring vs. Sloppy, another 3min chase later and the only gens are done by my friend whilst the other two keep pissing their pants while im being chased.
I just said F it mid-chased, DCd and got a drink. Fun Fun
That's a lie! Everybody knows that spirit is totally OP and you can not loop her for 3 gens as there is no counterplay! /s

BTT:
Bhvr needs to come up with a solution, the dcs totally ruin the fun of any round. I don't want to farm because 2 people dc at the start because people do not even attempt to play the game. On the other hand it sucks to punish the other 2 or whatever remaining people in the trial because they are not the ones who did dc. Shame on ppl who dc.
-
It is in the end the survivors own fault when they do get tunneled. See survivors do dictate the pace of the game due to the killer having 0 pressure at the start of the trial, so they basicly decide how this game is going, how they keep their advantage. The more survivors do pressure the objective and gens fly, the dirtier it gets. You want to have a fun chill game? I suggest not to pressure the objective as much, this way the killer can actually just go for another survivor and can give free unhooks.
When you just pump gens, the killer has to tunnel in order to slow it down a bit.

Survivors tend to DC because:
Having sub-par teammates
Someone suicided on hook/DC’d
Killer is using notoriously unfun add ons (Iri Head, Swing chains+jump rope etc)
Killer playstyle (camping, tunnelling, slugging)
Killer brought a suspected mori
Certain killers (God Nurse, Freddy, Spirit)
Not condoning DC’s but they are the most common reasons why they happen
The most common reason why they happen is because of crybabies.
The reason is not anything but that they throw a tantrum.

Body-blocking the killer so someone else gets the escape instead of me
So earlier a blendette did that for somebody she unhooked, i actually wanted to chase her but lost her in the corn again 🙈and i wanted to give her hatch because that ######### dwight, even tho i gave free unhooks decided to go for hatch on her first hook, she unfortunately decided to suicide while i did carry dwight to her hook. I said keep how you play, everybody with a brain is goin to appreciate you as survivor (she literally didnt hide after unhook and decided to throw herself between demo [me] and the meg who got unhooked) so lost her in corn and found meg again...
idk sometimes as killer, i judge survivors by what they do. when they play like that and you know do stuff to help to others i like to think it is nice to reinforce that with a reward, unfortunately i was unable to give her what she deserved (hatch).

as the title asks ahould tunnel killers and face camping killers be banned because this basically takes over the game for a certain survivor or each at one point, because you cannot do anything you cannot do a gen or heal because the killer is constantly chasing and hooking you, now ik there are perks to counter this but new players cannot use these, so it ruins the game for new people, as a player base lets show the developers with a vote what we want.
Should "doing generators" be a bannable offense? lel
no but for real, facecamping was patched out of the game long ago

You talk about the 1% and referred to the tournament. It was designed to be entertaining and then competitive, thus killer was restricted a lot more than survivor. If people were simply allowed to slug, you'd have seen way different results. The thing is that no one wants to watch 3 people crawl on the ground. Even despite that aside from the last two teams matches ended up being quite balanced (killers won pretty much as often as they lost).
Do you really consider yourself to be at the top 1% of players skill wise? Even after 10 levels of devotion I still don't think I'm amazing at the game and yet I have no problem winning most of my killer and survivor matches without having to try too hard. If you struggle so much, it means you're just going against people who are better than you. Try not to sweat for a few gaims and you'll eventually get slotted with people around your skill level (if the matchmaker ever worked, anyway).
Granted, there is quite a lot of RNG in the game and some matches are pre-determined by that, but RNG goes both ways.
Actually it is hard to tell which side was more restricted at least from my point of view on the matter as some killers were allowed to run all addons for example while others were not. Survivor had restrictions even on perks so that you do not get to see 4 people running ds/unbreakable for example. So I would honestly have to look up the rules but from a gut feeling it seems survivor was more restricted.
By the way slugging was allowed and done several times in the games, killers often unable to even find all of the slugged survivors again so there is that.
I do not consider myself to be top 1% in dbd, I feel that I get matched badly. Most of the time what I see are boosted survivors where I honestly do not understand how they even end up in red ranks to begin with. The problem is I don't feel like I win because I am good but because the other side is bad at the game. That is me playing superfair as killer, giving free unhooks, letting people go out of basement for free, giving hatch and to the point of dropping survivors so they can go unhook because I do not want to end the match that early. Do you remember a point back in dbd where you were r1 and didn't exactly want to play the new killer there because you are inexperienced with his power and also have no perks? Well some challenges required you to play "wraith" for example and even with just predator result is a 4k.
You have a higher devotion compared to me, yet when you say you are not amazing at the game, I assume you feel somehow the same as me regarding that. I just feel when played with 3 mates that survivor is still way too easy compared to killer, even when killers bring moris and go full sweat. I just want to have fun in the game again not being bored stomping people who I shouldn't be matched against in the first place. I hope this helps to understand my viewpoint on the matter better.

It's like every perk you run as a survivor is considered a crutch. Whatnso you want me to do put on dark sense? I mean if you wanna call survivor perks crutches so are killers. Arent crutches just anything that helps you?
Either stop calling every good survivor perm a crutch or admit technically every perk I ls a crutch killer or survivor.
Do you even understand that certain streamers in the past, used certain perks, not because they are good but because they tilt survivors and they throw a tantrum "!!!1 wahwahwah you used x crutch you are a trash killer!!"? When do killers call survivor perk crutches actually? They live with it as every game is full of them, there is no point to even say something against as you will see them most of the time anyway.

Man I still miss old Billy way too much. What they did to him was so dumb. That stupid bobblehead animation when revving, his awful posture and the way he moves and that horrendous scream every time he starts to chainsaw. Not even mentioning the first person animations not lining up with the third person ones, and the camera being even worse. The only thing that's better is his chase music, other than that I can't take him seriously at all anymore, he looks like such a joke, and like he's a killer in beta with unfinished animations. It's so bad. Before, Billy chases used to be intense and look great, now they look comical.
This a thousand times, I really do not know why but this comic trend was already there before they butchered him. I mean look at his cosmetics which try to be funny while they are not. Meanwhile other killers and survivors got good skins, just not for billy. Now you can listen to him, screaming while he tries to take a dump suffering from constipation. This rework should be thought about before you ever buy a skin for a killer again, i mean, they literally manage to make him so stupid that you do not want to play that killer anymore.

But the point is you're not always playing against the best of the best. Should good survivors die for playing good?? You have to force mistakes as killer and punish them for it. If survivors could still die while playing perfectly then the game is still unbalanced. If you cannot muster up enough pressure to push survivors off gens then you deserve to lose. The game should NOT be balanced towards the 1% because the majority is casual. Sure I could start a sweat squad that splits on 3 gens and pre-throws every pallet to deny the killer any injure states with full meta, but I don't want to. I want to have fun so I play the game to do so. That is the majority of players. If you find escaping the sole purpose and only fun in the game then that's on you. Out of all 2 years I've played killer I've only ever run into 6 ACTUAL sweat squads. Not just trolls bming the whole time. Actual tournament squads that end the game in 4 minutes. The skill difference is immense and I'm usually lucky to get 2 kills during those matches; unless I'm playing Spirit or Nurse (which I never do). The best players still make mistakes. Go watch any streamer and you'll see them mess up a bunch in the matches that they lose. I generalize it because a majority of people, cannot for the life of them, just say "I played bad that game, I'll do better next time." It's always "I lost because of this perk" or "I lost because they're swf". This is op and that is too weak, etc. Sometimes if you're playing on Ormond with Legion or Wraith, and they have all the op things like keys, then yeah sure, you're not wrong. But most of the time you had an opportunity to win at some point.
Good survivors should have to sweat their ass of close to the same amount that killers have to sweat in order to win. We saw what happens when survivors play near perfect, sad story for the killers, this was with restrictions on the survivor and killer side regarding addons and perks.
How does this argument make sense to you? Ofc the game has to be balanced to the 1% and not the majority, because the majority of people are casuals and noobs and bad at the game we balance around them so that the 1% breaks the game entirely? There is not a single game out there where the majority of people are not casuals, okay maybe MMOs yet there too it will be balanced around the people with no life and a concerning amount of hours. You should understand that balance works for both sides and not just one. This is the normal process for game balance otherwise you end up with a completely broken product which can not be enjoyed once you are good at it due to too much stuff being broken. Like seriously do you think that is a good idea? How does it not make sense to take advantage of the expertise from the top 1%? In starcraft 2 99% of the players have no trouble to enjoy the game even tho while it is balanced for the top 1% same story for mobas or other games.
I mean lets balance around the casuals, you think it is good to slow down killers? There was a thread saying killers are op due to the extreme speed, especially trapper and clown. Do you think it is a good idea to make them go at 98%? No? How come? Because you are not a casual noob and have experience and can tell that this is a horrible idea but those are the people you want the game to be balanced around. WHY?
So you tell me I should intentionally play bad, in order to have fun? Seems like topnotch balance my dude. You do not adjust balance because players are bad at the game but for the people to have a fair ground. When you can break balance just with a playstyle, it is off.
Fine, for the sake of it lets take the medkit changes. Septic was buffed without a doubt, granting portable bt, still enabling you to reset a chase and even granting protection against all instadowns be it ability, addon or perk a killer can bring.

I don't know guys what do you think?
People who suicide are fine as it is not a dc.
People who dc should have a much harsher punishment, look at other games. Yes crap does exist in other games and it is not fun to deal with it either yet you will not dc because you do not want to be on cooldown for hours, days or weeks. Reset of the escalating punishment should also be after 3 months.
People who suicide should be reportable, they do suicide alot, they will be thrown in with other people who suicide and quit ofc that needs to be verified by the reportsystem.
So my suggestion is a bhvrscore, the worse it gets the more toxic and ragequitting people you will play with. The score should maybe not depend too much on reports, but on actions happening in the game. Bhvr however needs to fix their reportsystem and other stuff.

If you have poor internet and that's your excuse I DON'T Care. Don't play this game. Please add super strict penalties because babies ruin too many games. 5 min isn't enough. Nothing has changed with these lite penalties so far.
I agree.
Other games have a much harsher punishment for disconnecting and abandoning the game. Bugs do exist in other games as well, I think for repeat offenders a week ban is fine. But BHVR needs to fix their ban system beforehand so that other clients can not cause bans for others. Look at CS:GO look at dota 2 etc.. i don't have any sympathy for people who act like kids when they do not get their way.
-
I focus on chase+tracking.
-
What I want added:
I think what might be interesting is a vampire, say Dracula from Bram Stoker's Dracula (90s movie). At first it does not seem to be that good but actually BHVR could go pretty nuts with his powers. They could go to actually use lighting in a meaningfull way either he starts with full power and loses it the more gens are completed and also they could maybe vary the powers having diffrent effects in diffrent stages of the trial.
This would ofc come with a survivor either good old van helsing or mina.
What I dont want added:
FNAF : I am just unable to find anything positive in it.

I'm not brain-dead, I know it is. But the thing is that's not the majority of games. The tournament is not indicative of regular dbd gameplay. Survivors CAN overcome a nurse with a 3 gen, yes, but that's because they played well. I once played Demo with Zanshin Tactics for a day and won a majority of my matches at red ranks. That doesn't make the perk good. Tournaments are suppose to be sweaty and intense, they're playing to win. If 95% of killers all around the world cannot prevent survivors from escaping, then survivors would escape almost all the time. Which means no killers would even play and there wouldn't be a DBD to even play. The problem is people walk around the fact that they lost and don't want to improve. They want easy 4ks and when they're not handed that it's because of this or that. If a killer cannot create enough pressure to get survivors off the gens, then they suck.
I think you are generalizing too much when it has been shown that literally the best players can not keep survivors off of gens and arrive at a wrong conclusion. Even the best killers are hardly able to keep players off of gens so stating people suck when not being able to do that is not the best argument.
It is kinda odd, that you judge people based on assumptions with little to no knowledge about them at all. They just want easy 4ks, right, survivors do not want easy 4escapes. They just play super easy mode "swf" because they want such a challenge when running all meta perks.
You didn't understand the part about the tournament, when you actually play against good survivors, even the best killers will struggle to get a single kill. When you play with friends the same way, you will beat most of the killers which I have done in the past. The problem is that this becomes super boring that is the reason why people do start to troll the killer or their teammates. This is also a reason why I said go ahead and play like that and tell me at which results you do arrive. You will see that most red rank survivors simply should not be where they are as this playstyle almost makes the entire killer roster useless, imagine that just due to playing a certain way.
Just because we get matched with boosted people lots of times, does not mean that balance is achieved. It just shows how bad most of the players actually are and that the ranking system is in need of a massive rework. I actually wonder about the distribution of ranks on the normal playerbase like how many are red;purple, green and yellow because it does not take lots of dedication and skill to be in the highest achievable rank at all.

Does it actually matter why they do it? Learn the killers, most people do tell you that you can expect alot of losses at the start. To be bullied is part of it, until at some point you will be good enough to no longer be bullied. Just practice and keep focus on your goal which is to learn these 2 killers.

Start off by patrolling. Get a hit on your first survivor at least, if they're at a strong area, leave, you don't have time for that right now. Survivors usually spawned grouped together so spread as much damage as possible. This either halves your next chase time with them or they spend 25 seconds doing off gens. That's already at least 50% of the team down for a little while or a chance to snowball later. Get your first hook and go back to where you saw them last or any gens that are close by/you know were being worked on and stop it. Around this time you should start getting more downs but lose a gen or two. This is fine, since it's normal to lose your early gens when you have no map pressure. Keep harassing survivors, slug them if there's a nearby team-mate, undo all their healing progress by smacking the whole team. A good killer punishes mistakes and uses their power in creative and efficient ways. Reading the survivors is a huge skill cap that will always help you immensely. It's all about having the shortest chases possible, this is why Spirit and Nurse are the best in the game. This is just basic pressure tips, anyone can do this.
Dude, my comment was sarcasm due to the botb tournament where you could see very high skilled players play, thing is that even the nurse with a 3 gen can be overcome by survivors. Usually they took a big dump on everything but nurse/spirit. So even with hiding while corrupt intervention they got out around the 8 minute mark. So that means 6 minutes to complete the gens and open the gates and getting out. You can watch the vod's on twitch in hexy's channel.
Do me a solid, get a couple of mates, play with them on a regular basis, optimize your builds so you do not run all the same perks and just do the gens and get out. Even tho you can read alot from people on the forums, 95-99% of killers will not be able to keep up and do anything against that. That is when you are not complete potatoes being able to last longer than 20-40s in a chase each against any killer. Tell me whether you will have the same results.
When it is so easy to do this as survivor, that you can even predrop all the pallets than there is something off regarding balance.
No worries I know how to play as killer and will have my wins. Yet I have been doing that with friends (play optimal) the results you get with that are hilarious to say the least.

It's all about creating pressure and most killers lose because they don't know how to create pressure.

People who claim it is "just a 5s stun" simply have no idea what you can do in 5s. I won matches due to that perk and I am not the only survivor that did so, you can completely turn a match around with ds/adrenaline/unbreakable/bt/dead hard/head on/soul guard the synergies are just way too much.
Also by this logic it is just "5s stun" you can also tell the story of how old MoM was totally fine, just one more hit.
How do expect killers not to care for efficiency? It is basicly what is being hammered into your brain when playing killer, be effective.
-
I don't know why some people think that every interaction between killer and survivor is toxic. Survivors do tbag each other to say hello when they meet in the match, are you mad when you are not being greeted by a tbag? No hatch for that audacity too? Giving the no no's or nodding is also not toxic but hey to each his own, go full tilt as soon as somebody uses the crouch bind.

The fairer you play and still win, the better a killer you are.
Fair play = skill.
Literally any killer can camp, or tunnel, or use NOED, or a mori, to get easy kills. I put on a mori and it's like I don't even have to try to win honestly. All I need is to find 1 survivor I already hooked before they get to 3 gens and I basically win the game. I don't even need to mori the rest.
If you play fair though the game is significantly more difficult. Obviously you can't play completely fair in every situation, but the more fair you can play and still win shows you are a good player.
TrueTalent focuses on hooks over kills, because he says it takes more skill to play that way and I agree. A killer that can do that and still get 3k/4k is a really good killer.
Is this a joke? Tru3 calls all people swf bullysquads as soon as a flashlight has been used. Also he will ignore people for the sake of tunneling others out of the game. As soon as something doesn't go according to plan or he makes some mistakes it is either "power role" or whatever it is never the wrong choice of him even when he uses exploits like I've seen a video of him where he placed beartraps in places where they clipped through the ground, laughing his ass off only to complain when he got hit with ds. Pls.

this right here is why the game is so toxic. It's not about treating people like kids it's about people getting enjoyment out of something they paid for. Real completion comes from an even playing field where all players have the same ability and some are just better then others. This game is nothing like that. If you enjoy doing the things you mentioned in competitive games, try going and playing a real sport, winning a game and then tea bagging the other team and taking the line maker and painting Losers on the field. See how far that gets you.
Taunting is part of it, deal with it.
Maybe actually watch sports or do some at some point and realize that taunting is there as well to the same amount as in online games also very good to think that a spraypaint in dota is something to take literally into the real world. Maybe try to find a more fitting comparison.
Taunting however is not humiliating, that is the part that you do not understand.

Seriously. This is a competitive game whether you admit it or not. It has 2 sides each with an opposing objective so they compete. The complaint I keep seeing in various forms is "that's not fun for the other side" In any other game with a multiplayer, when has the other side give a damn about someone else's fun? Do you see people in fortnite, overwatch, CoD, They fall saying "you shouldn't do that. Not because it's effective but because it's no fun for me". Killer, survivor, doesn't matter. If you want both sides to have fun then the game cannot be competitive. If your not having fun move onto the next match or take Kote's advice and "Play something else".
I don't care.
See in all other games bming is part of the game and I do not care whether the other team has fun in other games, be it dota, tekken or whatever I do play. It is hilarious to wipe a team in dota and taunt afterwards or spraypaint "LOOOSER!" after they just died or put on a voiceline for everybody to hear which just mocks them.
Really in dbd, yeah sometimes I do feel bad like when it is a baby killer or baby survivors (mmr good times) but yeah in the end i do not care and dont really see why I should. Because I think people are not little children and to lose a game is just that and not the end of the world. Somehow people here care whether or not the other person had fun. It is just an odd concern, i know some will tell me i am jerk but do keep in mind, I like to play the game, i want to win. I enjoy my wins and loss as well and I am fine with people mocking me for failing. I mean as long as you can laugh about your own fails, are people telling me they never made a stupid move and laughed about it because it was so dumb? Yeah but oh god other people are not allowed to laugh about it too.
Stop treating people like little kids, one bad game and they will leave. Yeah well okay so get lost and play tetris if you do not ragequit that as well once you lose. To lose is part of the game, i assume people are having fun otherwise they would play something else. 🤷♀️

There is 100s of spawn spots so if you're finding one in particular all the time and your killing all 4 players in the first 2 minutes you're definitely cheating. The guilty always make excuses. Why are PC players so adamant about them not cheating, when it's so obvious you all do. The ONLY way to ever stop game cheating is to stop PC play in all, but that won't ever happen. PC gaming has ruined every game out there because people don't have the skill to grind or actually learn the game or are just plain lazy and shouldn't be playing anyways. I would crush 90% of you if I got back on PC in any game, but I'm a true gamer and don't believe PC players will ever be taken seriously cause of the ease of adding cheats to any game. Make all games console only and the gaming experience will 1000% improve or just fix the code to not allow additions in games, which is easy but none do it.
True gamer on console, lel.
Nothing against consoles but those are just budget pcs for casuals who do not manage to build their own pc, #pcmasterrace.
Yes all people on pc do cheat, that is why we have big esports events and even the tournaments with the biggest prizepool there is exclusive to pc because they all cheat. I assume you have no clue what you talk about at all. 🤦♀️
-
The amount of cheaters that I have seen can be counted on one hand, even there i am not really completely sure whether it has been actually cheating or just some kind of bug, lags or whatever. People are fast to cry cheats. I was accused several times to use an aimbot with nurse due to precise blinks. I even uploaded the game to make a mockery of the guy but uhm yeah that person was convinced i did cheat, even then.
Once I thought I had a cheating claudette, permanent sprint burst, but I checked and it was fairly common bug back then. I mean you know, make some evidence (video capture) because I think dbd is not that lucrative for coders to actually make cheats. This is like the most important thing, it has to be lucrative for people to make cheats.

I really wish the devs would focus on making this game more competitive. People can still treat the game casually if they want, but there is a ton of hype around the competitive scene and it's very hard as players to make it enjoyable for viewers when there is so little that is viable at high levels of play. The RNG makes so many maps a coin toss balance-wise. It's silly.
Trust me, as a tournament killer main, we would love to play a variety of killers, but the drop off from Nurse/Spirit to every other killer is DRASTIC. You all saw what happened to the Pyramid Heads and Freddy. There are two strong killers on the roster, some decent ones, and a whole bunch of awful ones. When nearly every map tile is safe for survivors, the killers that have to play around pallets will always be weak against skilled survivors.
I prefer a points system that awards points for each hook state, not the act of hooking itself. Yes, it leads to more camping, but you get more score variance and force survivors into higher risk plays. Camping these elite teams ain't exactly easy.
The bugs as usual dampen the experience. I wish the devs cared about bugs/game health. But they don't. It's just not a priority for them, unfortunately. KYF is an absolute nightmare to use and spectate games with. It makes these things a slog. If you can successfully get everyone in a lobby without having to restart the game and then have everyone load in with the correct build, you should buy lottery tickets. It's a complete joke and it has been this way for years. My team has gone 20 minutes between games at times in practice because KYF is that bad and buggy.
I completely agree and do not understand why hook stages have not been awarding points in the first place but that is something they fix in the next i hope, if there ever is a next one. It was fun to watch imo, sad that so many bugs make it hard to enjoy watching the game.
I think the interest from people is there, i think his stream had 10-15k people watching most of the time, which is more viewers than all other dbd streams aside from say anniversary streams and such from dbd itself. Devs need to step it up, the foundations are there.
On a sidenote, I laughed my ass off when ayrun gave up the 3 gen and went to chase fingerguns. mhmkay

the survival rate is 30% dont know where you got 70% from
Where do you get the 30% from? Please dont tell me from 2019 because red ranks just ment red ranked killer, so even a r1 killer stomping greens would count to that. Back in 2018, check those but then ruin was still around oof.

So when you get perma banned in the forum you lose everything? No thanks.

Using a specific video to proves an argument is not helping you out. I could give you a video of the first gen taking like 4 minutes does that mean they need to decrease time? No.
There are lots of videos like this, a gen taking 4 minutes is nothing but the survivors being super bad or stealthing out corrupt intervention.
You made your point, comms have no impact cause people go down fast, the video shows even when survivors lose their chase in 30s completely (they can not loop at all and fail every mindgame there is) they can still pressure the killer for a ridiculous amount by simply holding m1.
When first gen takes 4 minutes, show me what the survivors did because they didnt hold m1.

Ok so let's say I start a chase with a survivor and they tell him hey I'm in a chase. Then I end that chase quickly then the next then the next. Sure you can know what the killer is doing but what good is that as long as the killer is outplaying you.
A good swf with coms is the exception because that's scary. Other than that the average swf with coms shouldnt make an killer have to sweat hard if they are good.
None of the information matters if the survivors cant do nothing with it. Sure coms are strong but communication doesnt matter if the killer is winning. If coms was a problem as much as you are making it no killer should be winning.
Start game all coms can do is tell you where the killer is. Running corrupt helps negate the early game gens which I'd a band aid fix but it does mitigate the strength of coms start game significantly. Just enough time to get pressure and render those filthy swf com users.
this was the old version of billy, see how long these survivors do last in chases? :> Also most of the roster does not have the mobility billy has, yet he struggles, not because these survivors are good in any way.

Coms doesn't make players better loopers and yet you still think the average swf is going to beat a good killer without sweating. What I'd "the killer is chasing me" gonna do for a team that has 2 current slugs. Not much thats 2 off gens and 1 having to go save. My point here is comes can only go so far.
Also the play with friends argument makes sense because i have interacted with killers on and off the forums who hate on swf and the players who play in it. That's not everyone but it still has validity.
See the problem is that as survivor you do not even need to be good at looping, most killers will struggle simply by pressuring the objective. Killers will have to sweat their ass off in order to win, yet simply holding m1 is more often than not enough to win.
Also your argument ignores everything, hey what good is coms when we are all on the hook eh? Yeah maybe think about how it is when the game starts and survivors do have the advantage and the killer has 0 pressure.
Pls do tell me the scenarios where comms do not make a diffrence, there is none. As soon as one survivor is in chase or spotted the killer, everybody knows it. Hex totems can be telegraphed and what the killer is doing... when you end up getting slugged, that is due to failure and making mistakes not because comms have no impact.

Everyone knows about the survivors that get off the hook and run immediately to the gen while protected by DS, wanting to take that generator out of the game as fast as possible without wasting time healing.
I'm getting a lot of survivors recently too that sit on the gen in your face, they take a hit, pop the gen right in your face and they'll take the second hit as a trade just to rush the generator out of the game.
Is the killer really the bad guy for tunneling survivors in games like these?
Food for thought.
Personally when I play survivor I try to be optimal on gens but I also like to try and survivor so my priority after an unhook is to heal in some way. At most I may tap a regressing generator but that's it.
Nope.
Killers are players same as survivors are, when people rush gens you do rush kills and the dirtier it gets. It basicly depends on how the survivors pressure the objective, if they do not hammer gens there is no need to tunnel or to deny unhooks.

First off let me say I appreciate the work Hexy put into this tournament and respect the guy but I don't think the scoring was handled the right way because if you're gonna call them the best a good SWF team wouldn't leave a member behind, some of these teams could've made saves but purely didn't because of being nervous of giving the other team another point for a hook. Maybe the game isn't a great tournament game, but I would've loved to see all teams try to get every survivor out like an actual game. For me it just didn't show the skill the teams potentially had because they were more worried about a scoreboard.
Iirc there were a couple of games which resulted in desaster because the team tried to get the last survivor out. Most just realized that it is not worth the risk, which is totally fine imo. Oracle vs some squad who played freddy, they didn't leave the survivor behind and showed how to do it.

Are you trying to imply that this is a tournament level game? If the killers could bring moris and play nurse every game we would have seen a very different outcome.
Maybe with the moris however, there was a match between invicible kittens and another team, the nurse had already killed one survivor and a 3gen on saloon, guess what the survivors did overcome that too. Nurse was allowed to bring her strongest addons and the nurse was a very good killer, just check his stats on blink attacks and he is in the top 20-30 worldwide.

I don't think a bp multiplier bonus of sorts is a good solution to the problem, it just seems like a lazy bandaid. It is kinda like admitting that this is bs, here have some bp if you deal with it.
The problem can only be solved once BHVR finally takes a look at it, without any bs. It is sad that like so much of mechanics, perks gets nullified via swf. The percentages of swf who actually do play the game that way, just hammer gens and get out doesn't matter. Nurse basekit was changed because people saw god nurse's everywhere when in fact the percentage of god nurses is way lower.
There is a balance issue with swf. As long as BHVR act like "well most just want to have fun and dont do that" because they are lazy to tackle the problem. I don't know how to solve it maybe another objective for survivors would be a good thing, increasing gen times or the amount of gens is boring for survivors.

DBD Tournaments should not be taken serious at all. DBD is no tournament game.
And yet there is a tournament scene. Entertaining to watch, hope we get more of it in the future.
So all the circlejerk of "spirit/ph no counterplay" gang can go watch and learn on how to play.
The tournament shows without a doubt that survivor is the power role, no matter how you twist and turn.

Surrender should be in the game, or subsequent DCs are safe, like how Dota does it.
if I’m playing a 3v1 I shouldn’t have to suffer or be punished because someone else quit
Yes I like the idea, a "game is safe to leave" for a person that does dc, no harm done, no bp nothing.
@Caz2018 said:
Or put in a decent DC punishment to curb this behaviour.
Yes.
I don't think dota way is good there, they basicly put the people that do dc against each other for x amount of games. I prefer cs system, add cooldown to be able to search for a match, everytime it gets worse and no reset.

I disagree, I don't main killer, but when I do play Killer I've managed to 4k without needing to tunnel or camp. Just need to have a good strategy, sometimes you get out played or the strategy doesn't work, it happens, but you win some you lose some, no big deal. You're not really going to improve as a killer if you're focused on securing one kill at a time though.
Well it depends right?
When you see that survivors do take it slow, no need to be a dick and you can give free unhooks np. However when gens do pop left and right, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Nurse main huh? one of us... idk tell me how you feel after 1000hrs with her :>

Honestly be good at looping, the more you make a fool out of the person the higher the chance killer will drop chase. Sometimes they just look at you and be like nah, not again gonna go right for somebody else.
